Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director and CIO of a new software company focused on developing a SaaS solution for internet service providers. Our SaaS solution is intended to help internet service providers deliver their services in a faster and more optimized fashion than their competitors.
What challenge were you trying to address with JEVERA Software Solutions?
We needed help with developing our SaaS solution.
What was the scope of their involvement?
JEVERA has helped us develop our SaaS product using their own framework. When they came into the project, our idea was in its early stages, so they first helped us better define our requirements. Then, they jumped into the software development process.
It has been over two years since we started working together, and our project’s scope has been steadily increasing since. Now, it is a huge project.
Some of our SaaS product’s core features are service provisioning, customer lifecycle management, and billing. Its technology stack includes Kubernetes for DevOps, Spring Boot for the Java framework, and Angular for the web apps. Additionally, JEVERA has helped us with frontend development.
What is the team composition?
We started working with around five people from JEVERA, including a software architect, a team leader, a project manager, and two developers. However, their team has grown as our project has, and we now have five developers instead of two.
How did you come to work with JEVERA Software Solutions?
We posted a requirement sheet on Upwork, JEVERA reached out to us, and we had a discovery call.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent roughly $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measure success in JEVERA’s deliverables. Every year, we set goals to achieve further software maturity, and they always achieve those goals. Thus, our overall success has been great, and our product is working well.
How did JEVERA Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
JEVERA performs very well. Although they’re based in Ukraine, a country currently dealing with the Russian Invasion, they usually deliver items on time. When we find bugs, they prioritize them and get them fixed.
Whenever I need a report or a performance assessment from them, they always deliver it on time. However, if they’re not able to meet a deadline for any reason, they’re very communicative about it.
JEVERA is integrated into our Slack workspace, and we have two meetings per week over Google Meet to touch base. Additionally, we use ClickUp to manage the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
JEVERA has an impressive ability to adapt to our software's different requirements and aspects.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Although the English level of JEVERA’s high-level staff is perfect, their developers’ English level could be improved. Additionally, it would be great if they offered a more competitive price. Still, working with them has worked very well for us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear on your requirements because they’re not a consulting company, and their strong point is working on building the solution you need.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Chief Information Officer of SEAD Software LLC. At SEAD, we provide our customers with Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Process Automation as a subscription based service.
For what projects/services did your company hire JEVERA Software Solutions, and what were your goals?
To support the demand for our services, we needed to create a platform that would allow us to quickly build relational databases, web based data entry forms, REST API connectivity to the underlying data, and a role based permission web portal that could be customized to our clients desire.
The goal is to create a low/no code platform that could allow a DBA to do their job more effectively and take on programming tasks that would otherwise not be able to do.
How did you select JEVERA Software Solutions and what were the deciding factors?
We were introduced to JEVERA through a group of trusted advisors when we started our company. There communication skills and willingness to work with the dynamic environment associated with an analytics startup was what drove us to engage.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started with the basic concepts needed for our portal which were administrative and connectivity to our existing BI solutions. We then focused on creating a solution for our team to quickly create databases and data entry forms without writing any code, allowing us to create custom environments faster with fewer mistakes.
The next major step was to allow easy access to documents (pdf/csv/jpg) and data via a REST API that would be automatically created when designing these systems. Our development is ongoing and now based off feedback from our customers and preparing the platform to be productized.
How many people from the JEVERA Software Solutions team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have worked with several people from JEVERA, as over a 6 year period there will always be turnover. The great thing was that each person that joined the team seamlessly fit in and immediately made an impact.
JEVERA is great at making sure they are not single threaded and that there will always be coverage. We have worked directly with JEVERA's engineers, project managers, and ui/ux designers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were able to create a POC for a cryptocurrency related project in 2 weeks, in which all our competitors provided a 3-4 month timeline to mirror. This is the power of the platform that JEVERA has been instrumental in building. In order to achieve this, JEVERA was required to deliver new functionality to the platform within that 2 week period.
They did so with very little notice and were able to navigate the aggressive deadline without missing any of our long-term deliverables.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project management at JEVERA is incredible. We are able to track all our bug fixes, feature enhancements, a long term goals and how they are allocated across our R&D budget. To communicate we use Microsoft teams, skype, and the google project management suite.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
JEVERA's support is world class. Whenever we need them, regardless of the time of day, someone is available to help us. The coverage is incredibly reliable and is critical to our success.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We have worked together for such a long time that all the areas in which we had issues we were able to talk through and correct. At this point there is nothing I would change. My advice to anyone working with JEVERA would be to voice an issues/concerns you may have.
They are so customer focused that they will do everything they can to optimize the process, as long as it is communicated.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the COO of Effortel, a company specializing in solutions relevant to mobile network operators of any kind, physical or virtual. These solutions are typically billing or rating systems, CRMs, points of sales, order management and automation, and any peripheral systems that have to do with revenue assurance.
What challenge were you trying to address with JEVERA Software Solutions?
Our development is split into three different streams. One stream deals with business intelligence, machine learning principles, and big data. The second part deals with backend development, and the third pillar deals with frontend development. We were looking to reinforce our backend team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
JEVERA helps us with backend development, providing us with expertise in enterprise application integration, specifically using the Apache Camel framework. We imposed our own tooling that they have to use in the software development lifecycle.
Our initial engagement was to develop a business application Orchestration Layer to integrate a core banking system with a core telco system. This one-stop shop allows banking customers to use their telco accounts like bank accounts and vice versa. This integration involved 400 different services. The team has worked with Java EE and Javascript. Currently, JEVERA is still helping us with other ongoing projects.
What is the team composition?
We work with nine people from JEVERA. We have a project manager who’s also working as a Scrum master, a solutions architect, a team lead, and Java EE backend developers. We’ve recently worked with one JavaScript developer as well.
How did you come to work with JEVERA Software Solutions?
I found them on Upwork. At the time, I was looking for an integration partner close to our customers. When I was exploring the different opportunities, JEVERA’s experience was most relevant to what we were looking for.
JEVERA had substantial expertise in the field we needed as well as telco and banking experience, which are the two industries where we were mainly operating at the moment. There was also more proximity to our team; they were based in Kyiv at the time, so our team could travel to interact with them. We asked them whether they could reinforce our team with senior development experts.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent around €300,000 (approximately $330,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2019. Although our engagement has been reduced a bit due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Thanks to JEVERA’s work, we’re able to serve a vast amount of transactions. Our client has millions of customers, and all those transactions pass through the integration layer, so it’s essential that it’s available and highly performant at all times. JEVERA has brought their expertise to the table to ensure our integration layer doesn’t suffer any malfunctions or deficiencies from day one.
We also appreciate the work culture JEVERA brings. They’ve given us a team of individuals who had already worked together and had a clear structure and organizational approach to getting the work done. They methodically understand what we need to form them and what they have to achieve. Instead of us leading them by the hand and telling them our requirements, they’re the ones asking questions about our needs.
Additionally, JEVERA contributed to our understanding of the solution architecture by giving us their expertise and advising us on how to achieve our goals better. The solution architect we’re working with is very solid when it comes to technical expertise. He has a lot of experience with the functional aspects of system integration.
How did JEVERA Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
We use the Scrum methodology, and they perform adequately. Metrics for project management performance involve the theoretical capacity of their team versus the actual capacity and work they’ve done. We’re also measuring the velocity and productivity of their team. We have these metrics to make sure that whatever we do is economically sane and that we don’t run into any non-efficiency.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m impressed by how calm they are. Despite the struggles we face on a technical level, which can be challenging at times, they have a relaxed approach, and they don’t lose their focus at any point in time. Essentially, they’re able to work under pressure and present excellent results.
Additionally, despite the difficulties they’re facing due to the Russian Invasion of Ukraine and some teammates not being available all the time, the JEVERA team is finding a couple of hours every day to help us — it’s amazing how professional they are.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there isn’t anything in particular that they need to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would advise you to be as straightforward as possible from the very start. Clearly explain your constraints in terms of working, expectations, and budget. The more openly you discuss things up front, the better the chances of getting into a very productive relationship with JEVERA from day one.

What challenge were you trying to address with JBS, LLC?
We needed help with platform development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided JBS, LLC with a set of requirements. Using that information as a guide, they researched our idea and assembled a structure for the system. Then, they developed the full platform using Java.
The program helps truck companies find service stations all over Europe. Users can place orders, choose trucks, search by distance, track cargo, and send messages within the platform. Our latest development was an online payment feature.
What is the team composition?
Initially, we worked with about 20 people, including a dedicated project manager. Now that we’ve finished the bulk of the work, we only have a team of three.
How did you come to work with JBS, LLC?
We collected references from different IT companies. JBS, LLC was highly recommended by multiple companies, so we chose to partner with them.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of an IT company. We focus on architecture and product development for business components.
What challenge were you trying to address with JBS, LLC?
Our product is a platform that aims to automate the business processes of any companies related to telecommunications, rental services, and special technology services. We help them to with the automation, with doing actual development. It gives the same flexibility as with software development.
We needed someone to provide software development services and lifecycle management. We wanted front- and backend, Java, and database development, as well as testing of those deliverables.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They act as a software engineering center for us, managing all our software development. That includes analytical and software development, including front- and backend development, Java development, and database development. They also do QA testing and acceptance.
They use AngularJS, Bootstrap, Spring Framework, Java Enterprise Framework, PostgreSQL database, Oracle database, and Microservices Architecture Docker for container management.
What is the team composition?
We started with a small team of one developer and one QA tester. Within a year, it grew to 30 people. Our team is now 12 developers, though we have several new projects starting and plan to increase the team.
How did you come to work with JBS, LLC?
I worked with them for three or four years on my previous job. That meant I already knew how qualified their resources were—it was an easy choice. I did investigate a couple of other options but chose to continue with JBS.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2015 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They have a very good understanding of their customers’ needs. Not only do they treat me as a customer, but they also treat my customer as a customer.
The team has a very good understanding of our business. They get into tasks quickly, and sometimes even deliver faster than we expect.
How did JBS, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
We work on a sprint basis and have daily standup meetings. On a weekly basis, we also have a presentation to go over the results.
We communicate through Slack and Redmine, using the latter for reporting too. Sometimes we receive recorded demos that we can use for our own needs and share with our customer as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re efficient—they’re able to become experts on a topic within just a few weeks or months of beginning work in its domain. They’re energetic and motivated, going from the position of having basic knowledge and understanding to quite a dense level from which they can provide advice.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their pricing is competitive, but I’d like it to be a bit lower. Also, sometimes the resource allocation time is a bit longer than we expected. It might be due to the market, but still, it affects us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Start with a simple task because the fit is a matter of culture. That will show you whether you want to build the business with this partner or not.
