Helping an $800,000,000 company tell its story
https://www.helixelectric.com/
Helix Electric tasked Jacob Tyler to completely revamp their brand messaging and positioning, develop a new tagline, and enhance their design and user experience online. Our focus was to create an experience and story that showcased their company culture, values, and quality of their work.
Helix Electric had not updated their brand in more than a decade. Jacob Tyler met with Helix’s leadership group to kickoff what we become a complete brand refresh—and a brand story and messaging that reflects who the company really is. We were tasked with creating the new brand messaging and story, conducting market research, and determining the direction of a flexible and scalable website for the company. Our goal was to re-introduce Helix Electric to the market as a company that had already earned a strong reputation, and to showcase its innovative approach and solutions to generate brand awareness for both potential employees and potential customers.

Optimizing User Experience to Increase Conversion
Dexcom’s agency—Cofa Media—tapped Jacob Tyler to help revamp the corporate website to showcase the company’s flagship products and enhance the overall user experience to drive engagement. Dexcom’s Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems take glucose measurements at regular intervals, 24 hours a day, and translate the readings into dynamic data, generating glucose direction and rate of change, providing critical information to help patients make treatment decisions.
Dexcom’s website required a design direction that would create a linear flow for users to review the product line, technology, and benefits. The site also needed to scale easily for new product launches and daily content updates. Lastly, the product line needed to be shown in a way that would catch a visitor’s attention and made them want to learn more about the company and its products.
acob Tyler employs a mobile first strategy for all Website UX/UI projects, as the majority of users search on mobile. However, Dexcom’s data showed virtually equally user engagement and visits through both desktop and mobile platforms. Thus, equal care was taken to create a cohesive experience on all devices to enable enhanced click-through and overall engagement.

NuVasive - Brand, Packaging, and Web Design
https://www.nuvasive.com
We began with a brand identity refresh, which included a brand standards guide, associated collateral signage, and website design and development.
Ultimately, we extended our work to envelope NuVasive’s community-focused “The Better Way Back” program, their charity, NuVasive Spine Foundation™ and SOLAS – a support initiative for surgeons. Each of these efforts now feed back into the larger umbrella of the NuVasive brand, collectively strengthening the story of who NuVasive is and why they are the leader in spinal surgery solutions.
By delivering cohesive messages across all channels, we successfully brought together a total brand package for the NuVasive narrative that continually reaffirmed their brand’s value in the minds of target audiences.
For Website design & development, we created a modern look for their web experience, focusing on NuVasive’s solutions, their history, vision and future goals. We designed the site to be a central platform from which, their other initiatives, like “The Better Way Back,” NuVasive Spine Foundation and SOLAS, could branch out.
Since we teamed with NuVasive, the company has established itself as a leader in spinal solutions. They were named one of the fastest-growing companies on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 list in North America. Their fourth-quarter revenue rose 15.1 percent compared to the previous year, and their fourth-quarter net income reached $6 million compared with a loss of $2.8 million one year earlier. With numbers like that – and some help from Jacob Tyler – the NuVasive brand is thriving.
Jacob Tyler won 7 creative awards for NuVasive as their Agency of Record.

iTan - Rebranding a Successful SoCal Franchise
https://itan.com/
As is often the case with a franchise-based organization, iTAN found their brand was becoming increasingly fragmented across its many independently operated locations. Without consistency in how brand messages were being disseminated at the retail store level, their identity was suffering and consumer loyalty was low.
iTAN was in need of a new unified brand to reestablish and reconnect itself to its consumers. Founder Faraje Kharsa turned to us to lead all marketing efforts for the company, and we, in turn, delivered a comprehensive marketing strategy that would ultimately fortify their brand from the online user experience to their in-store customer experience. To pull the brand together, we revamped their web presence, designed their in-store experience with collateral and signage, and launched an entirely new menu, upping offerings to a higher value for a lifetime customer. We generated a comprehensive tool kit for franchisees to manage the iTAN brand for the long-term, and handled the grand openings for new stores as they opened. As brand cohesion began to develope, we elevated iTAN’s value above its competition, we set our sights on driving total revenue through new iCLUB memberships.
Offering customers a distinct interactive experience is at the heart of forward-thinking brands. We designed all of iTAN’s online elements to connect with the consumer and their lifestyle. This entailed transitioning iTAN’s rather static site to a fresher, more dynamic one, which featured sliders with call-out boxes, social integration and a blog feed.
After launch iTan saw a 27% growth in iClub memberships, 476% increasse in social brand engagement, and a decreased bounce rate of 34%... thus more overall Website engagement.

E-commerce for skincare science
https://www.circadia.com/
Circadia skincare products are based on the skin and body’s natural circadian rhythms. Using this science, Circadia was a pioneer of bringing circadian science to the wellness industry. Founded in 2001, their products are available exclusively to licensed skincare professionals through their website.
CHALLENGE: Circadia has a very large catalog of skincare products, each with different expected benefits based on circadian science. Each product needed to be easily accessible to existing B2B customers who are familiar with the offerings, as well as clearly explaining the benefits and research that has made Circadia a trusted brand for nearly two decades. SOLUTION: In order to make an extremely large (and scientific) website seem simple, we organized the products into a single navigation item and placed informative pages about product ingredients and circadian science at the same hierarchy. Product pages were designed to be informative landing pages about the same benefits without having to dive as deep into the science, allowing customers to make quick and easy decisions and maximizing conversions.

Rebuilding a four billion dollar brand
Dowling & Yahnke Wealth Advisors is one of the top wealth management firms in Southern California. As one of the first “fiduciary” firms in the country, D&Y built a strong reputation on trust and doing what was right for their clients. Some years later, many other financial firms followed suit and became fiduciaries themselves. And while D&Y still had a strong hold on their market in SoCal, new competition was moving in, prompting D&Y to approach Jacob Tyler for a brand and messaging refresh to help the company stay a step ahead of the competition.
Jacob Tyler created a fresh new look and feel for the brand, without making major changes to the logo, since the company had built significant brand equity. We designed an entire new business suite, including letterhead and cards, and an exquisite brand brochure that would be the signature leave-behind piece when meeting with prospective clients.
Jacob Tyler worked hand in hand with the D&Y team to develop new brand messaging that highlighted the firm’s differentiation from its competition and appealed to the emotional aspects of financial planning. Rather than talk about what the firm does, we developed prospect-focused messaging that described the results from solid wealth management—a better future, an easy retirement, and peace of mind. This new brand messaging was deployed via the brand brochure, new website and through all brand communications efforts.
Jacob Tyler reimagined what a financial services website could and should look like—client focused, personalized for audiences, an intuitive U/X—and got to work. Working with the D&Y team to dig deep on customer journeys, we designed and developed a brand-new website that personified the firm’s ethos—and created clear pathways that prompted prospective clients to learn, be inspired and finally, take action.

USA Service Dog Registration Website Design & Dev.
https://usaservicedogregistration.com/
USA Service Dog Registration was experiencing a decline in sign-ups and sales due to increased competition from new businesses launching online and utilizing Google AdWords. Jacob Tyler was tasked to redesign the organization’s website, integrating a marketing site with a Shopify storefront to boost user experience, consumer engagement, online registrations and sales.
The website was receiving great traffic—30,000 unique visits monthly—but only converting at a rate of less than 4%. Our goal was to increase conversion to 10% while optimizing site performance for both download times and search engine optimization. Since new user registrations would ultimately lead to additional sales, we also focused on creating tactics to increase overall customer lifetime value (CLV).
Jacob Tyler developed a mobile first strategy that drove users to a “Quick Registration” form and showed options for shopping based on user needs. The new “store” also showcased suggestive products to upsell and increase average cart values. Within the first 60 days, user conversion increased to 7% and cart values increase an average of $14.

Seaspine - The Rebirth of a Brand
https://www.seaspine.com
Integra – a leading global medical technology company – approached Jacob Tyler to help spin-off of its spine and orthobiologics business, Sea Spine, with a brand and digital strategy that would accelerate the company’s growth.
The Challenge
While SeaSpine was a new brand, it grew out of an existing company that had earned significant brand equity—Isotis. Our goal was to introduce SeaSpine to the market as a company that had already earned a strong reputation, and to showcase its innovative technology to generate brand awareness.
The Solution
Brand Architecture
To clarify the brand and strengthen our product positioning, we have established a brand architecture built around two main product categories: Hardware and orthobiologics. This solution-based approach allowed the company to demonstrate its technical knowledge in relatable and practical ways by consolidating the decisions that a partner must make when purchasing from SeaSpine.
Brand Messaging
We crafted new brand messaging and a new brand personality for SeaSpine that promoted its easy and consistent experience, helpful customer service and innovative, high quality products. The aspirational tagline “StongerTogether” was developed to show the relationship between their hardware and orthobiologic products while creating the perception that SeaSpine and their physicians and patients are Stronger Together.
Website
Building from the blueprint of our brand architecture, we developed an intuitive, easy to navigate and visually engaging website that turned a complex offering into a seamless experience for the company’s customers.
The Result
Our efforts allowed SeaSpine to become an exciting new company while simultaneously enjoying the brand equity of its original parent company, introducing novel medical technologies to the world with the confidence of past achievement. The brand has staying power too—it’s still in use today after seven years.

V10 Plus USA Web Design, eCommerce, & Photography
CHALLENGE
Not all beauty products are made the same, nor do they all provide the same results. V10 Plus needed to educate consumers about the high-quality ingredients in each of their products that have proven-results for various skin types (including those suffering from eczema, acne or psoriasis).
Although V10 Plus has had success in various international markets, they needed to build and generate brand awareness in a highly competitive US skincare market. They also needed to compete with other domestic and international skincare brands that were not necessarily their direct competitors in the J-Beauty industry.
SOLUTION
The Jacob Tyler team needed to redesign and redevelop an eCommerce website to utilize best practices and V10’s brand standards. The content needed to portray real women and their most authentic selves, not high fashion or modeled photos that represented a skewed idea of beauty. By developing a customer conversion funnel for higher online sales through the website, our team was able to do a comprehensive site functionality test to monitor its performance. The new site captured a timeless design while incorporating an inspiring and uplifting tone with a hint of playfulness.
OUTCOME
After launching the new site at the beginning of 2021, V10’s eCommerce sales jumped 39%. They have been able to attribute half of their revenue to returning customers, which is a 156% increase from before they started their collaboration with the Jacob Tyler team. By launching paid media campaigns, our team was able to convert over 1,500 new customers via Google and social media.

MMIT Website Design & Development
CHALLENGE
MMIT has acquired three separate business units through the years, making their overall brand unity confusing and overwhelming to the user. Zitter Insights, AIS Health, and RJ Health provide unique benefits for the site, but their individual themes were clashing. If you were not in the drug and pharmaceutical industry, you wouldn’t know what they provided. MMIT’s target audience consists of pharmaceutical companies, health insurance companies, specialty pharmacies and healthcare IT.
Their old website was outdated and lacked user friendliness, making it easy for leads to turn away from their services.
SOLUTION
The Jacob Tyler team needed to maintain MMIT’s SEO while merging sites from 1,100 pages down to 700 pages. We implemented more interactive technologies to make it easier for the consumer by utilizing UX/UI design for easier lead conversions. Each site had its own set of challenges… so we had to rearrange and reorganize to allow the consumer to use the site more effectively. In order to keep an eye on the progress, we built our own custom KPI’s and formed brand unity throughout the site.
The redesign of the company’s website would help with lead generation by evolving and accelerating the buying journey. It was also our goal to improve the e-commerce experience and elevate the brand look and feel. Ensuring the appropriate analytics to feed into existing systems would allow our teams to track progress and see which areas needed improvement.
OUTCOME
Since launching the new website, we have seen an average time on site increase by 8.09% compared to the previous site. The bounce rate has dropped 9.78%, and average page views increased 12.29%. These numbers are expected to rise in the months to come!

carsfast ongoing digital marketing
OVERVIEW
Carsfast operates like a car vending machine: go online, find a car you like, and sit back and relax while it gets delivered to your front door. You can browse vehicles across the country whether it be new, used or Carsfast approved with easy to use search filters to find exactly what you’re looking for.
They’re on a mission to make the car buying process easy from start to finish, all while finding your perfect match sitting on the couch.
CHALLENGE
Being a newer startup comes with challenges of acquiring traffic to your site. More traffic equals more leads, and they simply weren’t generating what they needed or wanted. In order to generate more revenue to the company, Carsfast needed to utilize paid media services to reel in new business from across the country.
SOLUTION
The JT creative department designed the content and copy for the ads to live on Facebook and Google. Creating successful campaigns started with researching audience segments, pixel tracking, and continually updating ads to combat fatigue. Once things were up and running, our team started seeing results that were bringing in successful leads.
OUTCOME
We saw results with 1 single campaign as it generated 194 leads. Our goal CPA at the start was $20, and we have worked it down to $7.71 through social ads, A/B testing, optimizing based on data, and optimized segmentation. We have averaged 28 leads per day at under half the cost per acquisition rate!

Branding, Web Dev & Mktg for Organic Products Manufacturer
“Jacob Tyler makes the work dynamic enjoyable, and they’re incredibly intelligent.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the acting CMO of Greenerways Organic, a household goods company specializing in organic products like outdoor bug repellents and personal care products. We also have private label and contract manufacturing capabilities, and we have over 350,000 square feet of warehouse space in downtown Los Angeles.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
In the late part of last year, we decided that we were in the right place to do a proper rebrand commemorating the 10th year anniversary of Greenerways. At the time, our company was only in the bug repellent and cleaning category, so our products were very seasonal.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jacob Tyler is not only our rebranding partner, but they’ve also become our agency of record. Initially, they did some good customer insight studies to learn more about our followers. Then, they helped us come up with a new logo for our company.
We’ve worked separately with our chemist to create new formulations, but Jacob Tyler has been in charge of all of the packaging design required. Currently, they’re also building our website.
They’ve already delivered our branding guidelines and logo, but we’re still in the rebranding phase. Once we’re done with our rebranding, packaging design, and website development, we will start working with them on creative digital marketing.
What is the team composition?
We have eight different people assigned to our account working on different parts of the project. Their team includes two designers, a senior account manager, a copywriter, and 2–3 people in charge of the digital and social media strategy. Jacob Tyler’s owner is also very involved in the project, helping us ensure that everything is on point.
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
I found Jacob Tyler while searching for top rebranding and PR companies on different sites like Forbes and Financial Times. I had put together a proper RFP, so I interviewed a total of 20 different companies. From those 20 companies, we narrowed down our options to 10 and then to three; Jacob Tyler was among those three companies.
We finally awarded them the business because they were incredibly personable. Their personalities shined during their presentation, and the owner was present in every meeting.
They also proved to be very dedicated to their work. For example, once we hired them, four of their team members, including the owner, drove from San Diego to Los Angeles to meet us in person despite COVID-19.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around March 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have results yet because our project hasn’t moved into anything actionable, and our customers haven’t seen anything related to our new brand yet. However, the extensive study that Jacob Tyler did for us became the benchmark for our new ethos. Additionally, they’ve been very helpful in the design of our new logo and packaging.
When Jacob Tyler asked me to leave a review for them, I immediately agreed because the dynamic of our work, the rate at which they do tasks, and their level of accessibility and flexibility are great. I see them as an extension of our group, and our teamwork is really positive.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
Jacob Tyler is fantastic from a project management standpoint. We have a scheduled Monday check-in meeting with the account manager, where we align on the goals for the week.
Every Wednesday, we have a call with the owner and the different stakeholders of both companies to touch base. Finally, on Fridays, the account manager and I get together to see if we met the deadlines and see if we missed anything.
Apart from those three standing virtual meetings, most of our communication is via email. We also communicate via text messages. Overall, they’re very available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Jacob Tyler is incredible at making a bespoke dynamic. They recognize that not all small brands and clients are the same, so they adjust to what works best for each company. They don’t make clients follow a strict format or regimen, and they adapt very well to their needs.
Jacob Tyler makes the work dynamic enjoyable, and they’re incredibly intelligent. Additionally, they’re culturally the right fit for us. We believe in transparency, and they operate the same way; everything they do is honest and easy to follow.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t know what Jacob Tyler could improve on because I haven’t hit a bump in the road. The only hiccup we’ve had was regarding their expectations communication at the beginning. However, they changed the account manager, and that was fixed. Everything else has worked well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come to the table prepared with what you want and the timeline in which you want it, and be open-minded to the way they will present their pitch back. What worked well for us was that we were prepared for what we needed to do, making the kick-off easier and more seamless.

Branding & Web Redesign for Software & Data Company
“Jacob Tyler has truly modernized our brand with a clean, smooth, and easy to navigate website.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior director of digital marketing at a company that offers software data and analytics to pharmaceutical and healthcare businesses around bringing drugs to the market.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
We hired Jacob Tyler to update our brand identity and create a new modern website for us to bring into 2021.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We took three websites and consolidated them into one, and Jacob Tyler handled the design and development of that website. We also did a brand update, and their team handled all of our company’s branding materials, visual guidelines, and new mission statement.
To tackle these deliverables, we had a number of meetings with Jacob Tyler to develop our tone and personality as a brand. They wrote website content and formulated its look and feel based on the brand personality that we identified. That included all the imagery, color palette, and typography that we used. Once all of those were developed, they translated them into actual website design.
So far, we’ve launched the first phase of this project. We’re currently working on phase two, which will be finished in November 2021.
What is the team composition?
I work with three people from their team regularly.
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
I worked with Jacob Tyler on a website refresh project 10 years ago. Given that, I wanted to bring them in to create our new branding and website. Meanwhile, the other companies we considered thought the project was a big one. In fact, one vendor bowed out of it because it was too large for them to handle. Another vendor had a similar price point as Jacob Tyler, but their communication style wasn’t as great.
By contrast, Jacob Tyler was communicative. Les (Founder & CEO) reached out to me multiple times to talk about different points of the engagement. Their project manager was also amazing, flexible, and extremely communicative. In other words, their communication style truly won us over; they were also enthusiastic about our product — they were willing to take on this large, intense project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project in January 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Jacob Tyler has truly modernized our brand with a clean, smooth, and easy-to-navigate website. Overall, intuitive website development and design are their high points.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management has been highly effective.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Jacob Tyler is truly passionate about our project, and they have a personal approach to our engagement. Some of the other companies I’ve approached seem to be on it for the money. By contrast, Jacob Tyler seems to care about their clients. In fact, Les reaches out to us when we’re in sticky situations trying to resolve issues.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would love to see them working more closely with their developers. Sometimes, the project manager promises me things that haven’t been cleared with their developers, who end up having a whole different idea about the timing of the tasks.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Tell Jacob Tyler everything you need from the start because they can deliver.

Branding, Design, Web Dev & SMM for Dermatological Products
“I like the ease of access that they offer and their transparency whenever I have a question.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and president of a company that manufactures dermatological products for men.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
We needed help with our marketing and advertising to boost our digital presence.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We were a new company, so Jacob Tyler started doing marketing research to help us establish our branding, positioning strategy, and messaging.
After that was completed, they helped us design and develop our Shopify website and related social media pages, as well as manage our social media campaigns. The site is a traditional e-commerce platform that incorporates all of the modern tools.
They also designed the packaging of our product. We sell our product directly to consumers, and it’s available wholesale to dermatologists, so Jacob Tyler helped me develop a traditional sales sheet used by our salespeople when soliciting dermatologists — that was an old-school type of marketing material.
What is the team composition?
We work with a team of five people from them, but various other Jacob Tyler’s members have participated when we’ve had questions requiring certain expertise. The core team includes developers, designers, and a copywriter.
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
Our project started during the COVID-19 pandemic, so I primarily researched online, using Clutch as the starting point. I made a list of companies, reached out to them, and looked for referrals.
Jacob Tyler was the only company that allowed in-person meetings, which was very important to me. I believe that in-person collaboration is critical in a creative process, and I don’t think that working remotely can facilitate true collaboration.
I liked the access I had to Jacob Tyler’s portfolio information as well. When I first started communicating with the candidates, Jacob Tyler was the most open in providing me detailed information on their entity, including work they’d done and clients I could contact. I was able to see those clients’ online presence.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent $180,000, and we have another $70,000 sitting in reserve for the first round of digital advertising.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in May 2020, and we’re going live at the beginning of July 2021, but we’re just waiting for a final packaging component. The delay was due to FDA timelines.
I’m going to be working with Jacob Tyler on an ongoing contract for digital advertising and marketing content management.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve had great progress working together.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
Jacob Tyler’s communication has been great at all levels. The most important part is that we’re still working together. We’ve been working in person with them, which is very important for me in this creative process. They have protocols in place for COVID-19, and everyone on the team is vaccinated.
Although they have a hybrid model internally for project management, we have weekly meetings together. The project was broken down into 10 components, including branding, copywriting, packaging, and logo design, and all timelines set have been met.
They utilize standard tools for working online, including Zoom and Basecamp. They also use integrated Adobe technologies to view, change, and annotate mockups. I also have their CEO’s phone number, and I can reach out whenever I have a question.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What really distinguished Jacob Tyler from the beginning was that they assigned a large group to me, even though I was a new client. I like the ease of access that they offer and their transparency whenever I have a question.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I could provide greater feedback if the product was live. At this point, Jacob Tyler has followed the agreement.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
You should clearly state your needs and request a full definition of the services that Jacob Tyler will be offering you. I had a startup project encompassing a lot, and branding, positioning, and messaging were the foundation that, ultimately, lead to all the work across the project.
Clients should focus on understanding how Jacob Tyler manages that process and getting examples of it. That really helped me see how their team worked, and I used it to compare them to other teams. I felt very comfortable understanding how they were going to develop those key elements.

Shopify Dev, Photography & Content For Skincare Distributor
“Jacob Tyler is probably the best company I’ve ever worked with in terms of project management.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re the United States distributor for a Japanese skincare line. I’m the CEO.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
We needed help with web development and branding. We wanted to improve our customer acquisition. We also were looking to turn our brand messaging into visual components and a customer journey. On our previous site, we had very low conversions because we didn’t understand the guest journey.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jacob Tyler created our entire Shopify website. We started out with several discovery meetings. From there, they built out our site and took time to understand all of our social integrations. The team also built out our product pages and cleaned up our content.
Jacob Tyler also implemented gift cards and integrated multiple ways to pay. The team recommended Okendo and implemented Klarna. They also downloaded a gift card software.
Additionally, they redid the photography on our website. We had some photos from a prior photoshoot, and Jacob Tyler went through and edited all those photos so they would follow the same format.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Jennifer (Account Supervisor) as a main point of contact. I also worked with Tom (Creative Director), an owner, and a team that handled site mapping.
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
They were recommended to us by another vendor. We met with 3–4 other companies and we ended up choosing Jacob Tyler.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $52,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in November 2020, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We only launched a couple of weeks ago, so we don’t have any metrics to share yet. We asked several dermatologists for their feedback; they said the site was authentic and easy to use. Current users also enjoy the black and white photos we incorporated.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re fantastic. The team is extremely responsive, easy to work with, and available. They always respond within a few minutes if not a few hours. Jacob Tyler is probably the best company I’ve ever worked with in terms of project management. We use BugHerd and Basecamp for project management. We communicated via phone, email, and text. We’ve also met in person a couple of times.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I like their site mapping and how much they understand consumer behavior. The team has a good understanding of how to map out and build a website. We formed a good relationship, and they even asked us to participate in a video for Jennifer’s birthday. I trust them, and I know they have my best interest in mind.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to make sure you give them as much information as possible. They do not mind readers. Be able to portray what you’re looking for. The more you communicate what you want to see, the better the end product will be.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager for United Fulfillment Solutions, Inc. We’re a third-party logistics, fulfillment, and shipping company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
We’re in an industry that’s harder to understand, and marketing isn’t our strong suit. We didn’t market ourselves properly, so that’s why we turned to Jacob Tyler — to bring us to the next level.
What was the scope of their involvement?
When Jacob Tyler came on board, we started to work on our branding. We started from scratch, and they came up with our brand guidelines and updated our internal documents accordingly. Their team created all the content and creative materials. They’re now working on our sales deck and other marketing materials. Their team currently works on our SEO initiatives too.
We’re taking a phased approach to the engagement. Once we finish the two phases we mapped out, their team will start working on our website. That phase will also include photography and videography services.
What is the team composition?
I have ongoing contact with our senior account manager, a creative director, and an art director. We also work with a content creator and speak with their CEO.
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
I researched marketing companies and talked with about 50 different companies. I then narrowed our list of prospects. Jacob Tyler made it through the process. We just connected.
How much have you invested with them?
The first phase of the project cost around $50,000 and the second phase will cost around there too. We also have monthly services that cost about $3,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Jacob Tyler’s work blows us away. We didn’t have documented brand guidelines before working with them. The guidelines helped us step up our game and captured our audience. They gave us a different perspective on how we work. The guidelines will also play into our sales collateral, which will produce a good ROI.
We’re excited about our other projects becoming a reality with them. We’re excited to start the photography project.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
They use Basecamp as a communication and project management tool. Their team creates a timeline for projects in Basecamp that they update. There are also checklists within each project’s scope. It’s a great way for us to communicate as well as through email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Each member of their team has a different creative outlook. It’s unique and comes together nicely.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have anything negative to share.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ensure that you partner with a vendor that’s willing to learn about your industry. It was hard to find someone that was willing to learn about what we do.

Our last website was developed in 2012, and we needed something sleeker and more user-friendly. Over the past few years, we’ve changed our offerings, so we needed that updated as well.

We plan on spending $73,500.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with their team in September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really. Their communication is great. They’ve stuck to the deliverables, so there’s nothing I can complain about at this point.

I’m the CEO and president of Vauz Inc. We’re a startup that’s launching a consumer product next April. The product will be in the wine and spirits accessories space.

Our product is innovative, and we were looking for an innovative vendor that’d match our enthusiasm for the product, brand our entire company, and help us reach our vision.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jacob Tyler is doing everything soup to nuts for us. They’ve created our company logo and put together a brand message. Their team helped us with our brand identity and helped us build our company from the ground up in terms of tone, voice, and vocabulary to use to describe ourselves and correspond with our customers.
Currently, they’re working on a package for one of our packaging design products. They’ll also be developing our website and eventually running our marketing campaign.

Les’ involvement has been awesome. Jacob Tyler has done multiple revisions and has been flexible in accommodating our feedback even after we’ve done some changes we agreed upon. They’ve been phenomenal to work with.
They were quick to understand our brand, and we were very well aligned. They hit every point very fast so that eliminated a lot of iterative correspondence. Their team fine-tuned everything and nailed who we are as a company immediately. Their ability to understand what we’re going for and then produce impressive work is one of their many strong suits.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
Jacob Tyler provided a Gantt chart early on that gave us a timeline for the project. Their team worked with us by compressing the timeline by two weeks in order to meet our launch date. They actively trimmed that out and are pushing themselves to make it happen by our deadline.
Their team is organized and proactive. We’ve thrown curveballs their way, and they’ve been great at working in parallel and not letting anything impede the progress. Also, communication is super seamless and quick.

Web Design & Marketing Strategy for Dental Services Company
"Their responsiveness and experience set them apart."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a specialist at a dental services company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jacob Tyler?
We wanted to have a degree of marketing visibility. We’re a startup, so we needed to have an aligned message and a good marketing strategy so that our customers could see us and find us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jacob Tyler is designing our web presence, as well as some ancillary materials that we’ll be giving directly to some of our partners. The team is also helping us with overall marketing strategy, brand messaging, and personality.
They take our model for delivery and create a more comprehensive strategy for reaching the people we need to reach. They’re also working on updating our logo design and designing and developing our website.
Some of the features that they’re creating for the website include video testimonials as well as functionality that enables patients to contact their own dentists.
What is the team composition?
There are 7–8 teammates working on the project including Les (CEO & Chief Creative Officer), Maddie (Brand & Communications Strategist), Jennifer (Senior Account Marketing Manager), Jeshua (Art Director), and a copywriter
How did you come to work with Jacob Tyler?
We looked at companies that do specialized marketing within the dental field. Because we’re a dental service, rather than a one-off dental practice, it seemed like Jacob Tyler was the company that was able to deliver a complete package and was more experienced with doing something on the scale we were looking at.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $90,000 thus far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began in April 2020, and it’s ongoing. We hope to continue working with them as a longterm partner.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Jacob Tyler has helped us in terms of our messaging. Even though the project isn’t completed and we don’t have the website up, just doing the messaging has given us materials that we can use right away to pitch and talk to our customers.
This also gives us the ability to make smaller-scale marketing materials like flyers which we can do on a short-term basis. Doing that upfront research and brand messaging work with the team has allowed us to have some early deliverables.
How did Jacob Tyler perform from a project management standpoint?
The team is very thorough when it comes to project management. They are communicative, and we use Basecamp. Jacob Tyler gets back to us within the same day, and they deliver on time or early. Additionally, they solicit feedback and quickly do edits when necessary.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their responsiveness and experience set them apart. Jacob Tyler has experience working with big contracts and companies nationwide. I talk to the owner and the team members regularly, and the same people who sold us on the project, are the people who we’re working with.
This is usually different in large agencies, where the people you speak to hand off their work to less-experienced teammates. Jacob Tyler strikes a balance between having nationwide experience while remaining small enough to know the people they work with by name and face.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing stands out.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know that they’re very responsive, so it will be helpful for you to be equally as responsive in order to get the project done on time.
