Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Even with a thorough creative and design stage, this app turned out to be much more complicated to execute on than intended. (As with every app dev). The project management team was completely transparent throughout the process. We would meet weekly to go over results and progress.
The project management team mitigated the complexities by keeping the original dev team whenever they could, as well as added new dev members who had knowledge of the specific challenges as they came up. The team ended up putting in a lot of extra hours and even had additional features and functionality, but did not charge me extra.
They stuck to their word and original quote, even in the face of unexpected complexities they persevered, communicated the challenges, and ultimately delivered a stellar application on budget. Super happy with JackRabbit and would recommend them to any entrepreneur. Very professional and honest.

Don't take on such difficult clients =) In every build there are challenges, Jackrabbit was extremely professional and honest throughout.

Jackrabbit Mobile has developed a loyalty and rewards mobile app for a multi-media polling platform. The team has built the product from scratch for iOS and Android using proprietary gamified technology.
Although the platform hasn’t launched, the client has been satisfied with Jackrabbit Mobile’s work. The team has met expectations and delivered according to deadlines; they communicate effectively through Jira, Slack, and weekly phone calls. Overall, they’re patient, persevering, and efficient.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a multi-media polling platform.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We wanted to build a platform.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jackrabbit Mobile has designed and developed a loyalty and rewards mobile application. Initially, we delivered a faulty MVP built by another company and provided a list of features that would take about two and a half years of development. They began the process by architecting the roadmap and figuring out the entire stack implementation and execution of the product. Afterward, Jackrabbit Mobile built the product from scratch; they didn’t use any code from the faulty MVP.
They’ve built the app on React Native and launched it on the Apple Store and Google Play Store. At some point, they transferred the React Native to Android and had to do some native development on the iOS side.
The app does everything from account setup, commenting, forming groups, uploading and sharing videos, and editing. They’ve implemented a proprietary gamification technology.
What is the team composition?
Throughout the years, we’ve worked with 4–7 frontend, backend, and full stack developers, a designer, and a project manager.
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We found them through a Google search.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent roughly $1.2 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in July 2022, and our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We have yet to launch, so we don’t have results. However, Jackrabbit Mobile has met our expectations.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve delivered according to our deadlines and communicated well through Jira, Slack, and weekly phone calls. Overall, they’ve done a satisfactory job.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I congratulate the whole team for their patience and perseverance. We’ve done market and user testing and had to pivot directions and priorities numerous times because we’re an early startup. Jackrabbit Mobile has maintained a great level of excitement, energy, and velocity of work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could improve on communication and managing expectations.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them a clear vision of the product you want to build and maintain open lines of communication.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a target shooting app.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
I needed a company that could develop a mobile app for me.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
I hired Jackrabbit Mobile to develop a mobile app from scratch, which uses image recognition to scan and score users’ paper targets after they go to a shooting range. They started by creating the wireframes, after which they worked on image recognition. I had to get them a lot of data for that part. After that, we went through the process of getting the app approved for Apple and Android. We also added a second major feature that allows users to slide in a rifle scope.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Mary (CEO) and Matias (General Manager).
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
I found Jackrabbit Mobile on Clutch and thought they were the best fit for us. They were also the most professional out of all the companies we talked to.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent around $300,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from September 2021–January 2023.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everything worked out better than I expected. Hopefully, in the next couple of months, I'll be selling the app to a big gun company. I’ve received a lot of five-star ratings on the iTunes store, but I’ve since scaled back on marketing other than showing the app off to gun shows. The biggest thing was that the company I’m planning on selling the app to told me that they’ve been trying to create an app like this for a year and a half, which made me feel great about the work that Jackrabbit did.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
Jackrabbit Mobile performed well in terms of project management. They communicated well and were incredibly transparent about the budget.
We typically communicated through Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was most impressed with their image recognition expertise. I don't think anyone even comes close to them, at least from what I saw.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At first, I didn’t understand how apps were built, and they were new to guns. Instead of building off of the Adobe XD slides we had, I wish they had told me to build those better and with more details so that when they went to the developers, there wouldn’t be as many hiccups as there were. We definitely improved upon this as the project progressed.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure that you have a clear mock-up of your idea because that would save you a ton of headaches and problems down the road.

Jackrabbit Mobile assists a company in creating a platform to help law enforcement students study for exams. They’ve guided the client in the research and discovery phases to reach an easy-to-navigate design.
Jackrabbit Mobile works with a client, taking a complex design for an app and making it easy for users to navigate. They have been communicative, timely, and quick to solve issues with innovative ideas and designs. Their flexibility and understanding have made them an ideal partner for the client.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the owner and operator of Ridgefox Academy, a professional tutoring company for law enforcement officers. We aim to assist officers with promotional examinations in their department and to help them study and prepare for those exams.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We wanted to provide a platform for students to be able to study on the go. Everything today revolves around phones and electronics, and life is busy. Trying to study in this profession is very difficult to do because it is almost like going back to school full time while you’re still working and taking care of your family. I assist them by writing tests and producing video content to help them study.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jackrabbit is helping to create a platform for me to be able to seamlessly provide information to law enforcement students. The app is still in development, and we’re hoping to launch it by next year, early 2023. The software that we’ve created learns what each student needs, and provides them with individualized tutoring guidance.
We did a lot of discovery and research in the first months to plan and plot out how the whole app would not only look, but how it would interface with the material. It needed to be fast and easy, and even though the entirety of the app is incredibly complex, it needs to be extremely easy to use. Everything the app can do is condensed onto the home screen, and a student can use several different touch points to track their progress.
A student can decide how they want to study each day, regardless of the amount of time that they have, and they should have a highly effective experience. Each student will have an independent learning path.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with a team of 8–10 people, including the owner and operator, several different developers and code writers, design experts, and a team leader that coordinates all the work.
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
I googled them and started reading reviews of the company. When I was looking online, I didn’t find anything negative about their team. When I called and spoke to Mary (CEO) about what I was trying to do, she told me that she had a background in education and felt this partnership would be a great fit. After speaking with her, I felt like this was the team that I wanted to work with, and I haven’t looked back.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent close to $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in May 2022, and it is an ongoing project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app has not come out yet, but from the meetings we’ve had and the way it has all come together, I can say that the design is fantastic. We’ve only passed the design phase, but they’ve done a brilliant job with the home screen and creating a seamless experience so far.
The app is incredibly complex, but it needs to be easy to use, and Jackrabbit has done a good job of going to each different screen and module and having it be a seamless UX. Everything the app can do is on the home screen, and that’s where they’ve done a lot of magic, trying to get all of the elements onto one screen. It hasn’t been easy, but they have been able to find a way to do it.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
So far, they’ve been very on top of things. Everything they said they were going to do, they’ve done, and they’ve done it in the appropriate amount of time. Things have gone over budget, but that isn’t their fault.
If I have a question, I usually text them, and they call me back. We also use email and Zoom, but the primary form of communication is texting and phone calls. I’ve logged into Figma to see their progress, and if I have any issues, I reach out to my team leader, and they normally get it resolved within a business day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their dedication to the project and flexibility is amazing. It isn't easy trying to work with a startup company, and they have been completely fantastic with everything. I’ve had to ask them to speed up, slow down, and stop, and they just understand what my stance is. They’ve been fantastic, and I can’t imagine going to another company and having the same kind of working relationship I’ve had with them.
So far, it’s been my experience that they’re a great company. I’m waiting to see the final product to see how the coding works, so there is a whole aspect of this that I haven’t seen yet, but leading up to that point, they’ve been incredible in every aspect. All the other business owners I reached out to loved what they did, so I don’t think we’ll have any problems.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that I can think of.

client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CIO of Belong Gaming LLC, so I manage our technology strategy and execution.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We were developing and releasing our mobile platform and mobile applications.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jackrabbit helped us create both Android- and iOS-native apps. These apps were primarily created to service our customers and members by having them sign up for accounts and memberships for our platform. We also allow our customers to create bookings at our arena and go through a payment process. Overall, these were lightweight apps, mostly centered around the pre-work our customers do before they come into our arenas to partake in our services.
Jackrabbit created these apps from scratch. We initially provided them with some documentation, and we worked with them throughout the project to manage and guide their efforts. Most of the designs were done in-house, but Jackrabbit made small tweaks as needed.
What is the team composition?
Jackrabbit assigned eight people to our project. Their team included an account manager, a project manager, and two sets of development teams, each with a lead developer and two more developers. Additionally, we worked with a tester.
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
I had met Jonathan (Advisor & Owner) back in 2012, so I was aware of Jackrabbit. When the opportunity came, I got in touch with their sales department.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around January 2021, and we just wrapped up in January 2022.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve got a lot of positive feedback from executives and investors. They think that our platform is a good first step in our evolution.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
Jackrabbit performed very well. They were methodical and very structured, and they were able to deal with a little bit of chaos in our process. Like any other startup, we had some variability and direction changes, and we also had a lot of things that were underdeveloped or not well documented. However, Jackrabbit grew with us, adapted very well to our needs, and kept their work on schedule.
We used multiple tools to communicate. We mainly met via Zoom, but we also used Slack and Jira for our day-to-day communication and project management.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Jackrabbit’s overall expertise, especially in the area we were utilizing them for, was impressive. We found them to be very knowledgeable about app development, dealing with the app stores, understanding some of the processes involved, and understanding how to integrate with other software very well.
Additionally, Jackrabbit’s senior part of their staff was very experienced. For what they were charging, other companies would offer people with 5–6 years of experience. However, Jackrabbit offered people with at least 10–15 years of experience. That expertise showed throughout the process.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had some communication gaps at certain points where we both could have done a better job. However, they had a minor impact. Additionally, some of them were caused due to the pandemic, and others could have been caused due to the startup condition of our company.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Having clarity of direction on what you’re trying to achieve is going to give you the best value for your money. Jackrabbit can take your vision and strategy to meet your goals.

Jackrabbit Mobile provided development work on the mobile application, API connections, and web-based customer-facing dashboard for a school hearing and vision test company.
The work performed by Jackrabbit Mobile has completely exceeded project stakeholder expectations on the quality of the build and allowed the client to provide instant feedback to their clients. The team is flexible and communicative, making the project enjoyable to work on for everyone.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the executive director and founder of the Half Helen Foundation. We exist to help children see and hear clearly and run a mobile application to help collect better screening results from services delivered in schools and more consistently refer parents when we identify potential vision or hearing issues.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We started out collecting all of our results manually and spending hours performing data entry, so we needed a partner to help us bring those capabilities into an app.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their team developed our vision and hearing screening mobile application to allow our screeners to input results into a mobile device immediately and have that data processed and sent to the appropriate places automatically.
They also built a connected browser-based dashboard where our school partners could log in and view the screening results in real-time as opposed to after the delay that had existed previously.
What is the team composition?
We work with a total of about 5–6 members of their team.
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
I was introduced to their team by one of my organizational board members who had worked with them in the past. Their CEO send a connecting email and we clicked immediately. Once we interviewed them, it was clear that they understood and supported what we were really trying to achieve and had the expertise to get us there.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost of the project was $102,000 which was actually under budget from the $115,000 that we had originally planned to spend.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first contracted with them in August 2018 and released the product in February 2019, but we continue to work on a variety of development projects with them.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I really can’t say enough about the quality of work that they delivered to us. Everything was just excellent. Their team was responsive, engaging, and always asked follow-up questions to make sure they understood what we were trying to achieve with each element of the product so that they could be sure they were building what we really needed.
Their dedicated project manager was able to take my layman’s terms explanations and communicate them in technical terms to their development team so that they were able to produce beautiful and precise renderings of the application in the design phase and then execute on them perfectly.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
We had weekly check-ins, so I always knew where we were in the development process, and they made sure that I understood everything that was going on. If I had any issues, they would respond to them immediately, and their team was always just positive and upbeat in a way that made them really enjoyable and easy to work with.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really appreciated their team dynamic. Their personalities match each other very well, and their apparent mutual respect translates to a very seamless experience for the client, which I really appreciated. We had almost no hiccups throughout the entire process, and certainly none that they weren’t able to take care of before they caused any problems.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, we have such a strong, positive working relationship that I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. I have nothing but praise for the whole team.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Trust them. They really are an incredibly high-caliber team and have a great depth of expertise, so it would be a shame not to take advantage of that.

Jackrabbit Mobile provides mobile application development efforts for a fintech company. They developed the app for iOS and Android, also handling its UI/UX designs and following branding guidelines.
Within the first month of being live, the app has already done thousands of payment processing. Jackrabbit Mobile achieved the partner's mission and has done so through seamless collaboration. Their team is communicative and organized. They're receptive to feedback and very professional.

BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of marketing strategy and operations for The Odyssey Project. We’re a financial technology company centered around creating a frictionless closed-loop payment network. Basically, this means creating financial inclusion for anybody to engage in the commerce they desire to.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Jackrabbit Mobile?
We brought them on because having a mobile app is an integral part of our business model. We have an in-house team who could’ve handled the solution’s development and UI/UX design but it made more sense to bring on Jackrabbit because they have years of experience doing just this.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They built the app from scratch working alongside our development team. I helped with the branding guidelines for the mobile app. The app is both for Android and iOS. We went through multiple betas and just pushed the final application out a month ago. They also handled product mockups.
What is the team composition?
We work with a full team. Our team had a lot of communication with Sam (Android Developer), and I worked with Lauren (Operations Lead) on the marketing side.
How did you come to work with Jackrabbit Mobile?
My company started working with them before I joined. We probably came to work with them through word-of-mouth or an online search.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested about $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in February 2020.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app has been live for a month, and we already have about 12 people processing on it. The users have done thousands of payment processing through the mobile app. This is great for us because it allows all of our customers to take their business on the go. That was our exact mission for our partnership with Jackrabbit.
How did Jackrabbit Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s been easy to track what we’re doing at any given time. Our project lead has been incredible. We have a Slack channel, and we can view their Asana. We also have InVision for UI/UX demos.
Once, we had a bug in the system in its prerelease phase and we were able to patch and push it within 45 minutes. There’s nobody who can do that, which is a testament to Jackrabbit and our team because even large players couldn’t do that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication with us has been open, honest, and transparent. We always know what’s going on. They’re very professional and come to every engagement ready with an agenda outlining what they want to get done. What’s more, they always ask for our feedback. Sam is continuously communicating about backend updates.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, all of our interactions have been great. We’ve been waiting for a case study to come out because it’s an exciting story for us and them as well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Engage as much as they engage. They’re quick and will push you a little. You must be on top of things and up-to-date because if you’re not, you’ll get left in the dust.
