We needed help with mainframes and app development.

ITIDO helps the startup teams to fulfill their development goals; they do custom development. For the last projects, they’ve been tasked to stabilize and improve the blockchain-based platform. Also, they’ve tackled supply chain transparency in the food sector. The specific task in the software framework was that the application was hosted at AWS, and they used Angular as a product development framework.

We have direct contact with the management team. We can also contact the developers directly; they’re really transparent.

I’ve been in contact with them for several years; I’ve used their services for most of the technology companies I’ve invested in.

We started working together in March 2018, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They deliver the projects in a timely and sound manner, and the products work efficiently. Since we do small-scale projects, it usually takes 2–6 months to develop. Then, they’re in charge of supporting the teams and helping out with shortfalls of the internal development resources.

How did ITIDO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been able to tackle technical issues and deliver on time. Usually, they fulfill tasks in line with the budget. The team has onboarded us on their internal Slack and GitHub. They put everything on GitHub, so we can log in and follow the task they’re doing. Also, we have regular calls and video calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They can deliver large-scale projects in a dynamic environment for startups. They’re also capable of fulfilling technical needs on a specific level in a short amount of time. Most of the time, they understand the frameworks, environments, and business models they get into. ITIDO looks at the development tasks they have to fulfill and advises us based on other projects and experiences they’ve had. All in all, they’re really forward-thinking and client-oriented.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they suffer from the same topic as all the other technology companies. The more successful they get, the more resources they need to get, adapt, and implement into their teams. Therefore, the hardest challenge they face is keeping up the excellent communication and delivery while scaling the company.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Present the business model and scope of work and include them in the discussion. They can be beneficial by adding their knowledge and resources from other projects. I’d encourage everyone to share the project's larger horizons and development framework.

Infoleven is a software development company that’s based in Bulgaria and has a sales office in Germany. I’m the COO and co-founder of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with ITIDO?

We needed to develop a software product for one of our customers, but we didn’t have enough specialists and experts in-house. We hired ITIDO to provide support for front- and backend development as well as with QA.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For this development project, ITIDO’s team and mine used React and JavaScript for the frontend and TypeScript and Node.js for the backend.

What is the team composition?

We’ve scaled up and down during the course of the development, but on average, we work with three people who are software developers and QA testers.

We've known ITIDO for quite some time, and we first met through business acquaintances. We’ve also worked together on past projects, which is why we brought them in again for this one.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project began in January 2021, and we are still in partnership with their team.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

ITIDO’s team has helped our own to continuously improve the software product. We work with our end customer on a scrum basis, and so far, the deliveries are being produced according to plan. The quality of the software is good, and our customer is happy with the results. 

How did ITIDO perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve never had issues with ITIDO’s deliverables. They meet deadlines, and they’re open to both receiving and sharing feedback for the improvement of the final product. There is good collaboration between us. 

We use Jira to track and manage the project, and most of our communication is done through there or through emails and Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Even with their team having a mixed structure, they’ve been able to keep up really good communications. It’s not easy to integrate with an international team from five different countries, but they’ve done that quite well. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Thus far, we’ve only done manual QA, but we’re now in discussions about implementing automated tests. ITIDO will be working on this for the next few weeks or months.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure that you structure things in a way that works for both of you. This way, you will have better results. 

Please describe your company and your position there.

Covessa is telemedicine app, providing flexible, self-administered, remote Covid-19 antigen testing via our own application at app.covessa.de. Users get remote video assistance by medical experts so that performing proper antigen testing is guaranteed.

We see ourselfs as a tech solution provider bridging to medical labs who approve and varify a test result. The generated QR code of the test result is also integrated in the European Corona Certificate App. As one of the co-founders of the company, I am involved in all major business decisions as well as in partnering with our key stakeholders.

For what projects/services did your company hire ITIDO?

We asked ITIDO to perform a comprehensive technical review (audit) of the Covessa application in an early stage of development. Our product serves the public health domain. This is why we have certain regulatory responsibilities and commitment to the general public.

We wanted ITIDO to:

1. a review all aspects of Covessa that touch on security and performance
2. as a result, give us recommendations for corrective and mitigation actions

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A trusted business partner of Covessa has previously worked with ITIDO and highly recommended their services.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our application was up-and-running in Germany for several months already. It was built and deployed quickly so while we kept the development ongoing we wanted to ensure that major technology gaps (if any) are addressed simultaneously. Besides the security aspect, the review team was also tasked to look into speed, database problems, code quality and scalability of the app.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

ITIDO's review team consisted of a lead software engineer, a deputy software engineer and a delivery manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The review was completed in August 2021 and results were summarized in a report ITIDO prepared for us. The most critical findings were related to data protection practices we had to improve. ITIDO really opened our eyes for some inherent blind spots in Covessa.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was a relatively short project so most of the time Covessa's technical representatives and the team of ITIDO worked in joint virtual meetings and in one-to-one sessions. The collaboration was smooth despite the significant time zone difference.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They managed to quickly assemble a reviewing team with the right expertise to explore Covessa's technology stack. The staff of ITIDO employs a wide range of technologies and is familiar with the latest trends in cloud computing and database systems. Plus, the engineers proved to be detail-oriented which is a big advantage when it comes to performing audits.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No. We were 100% satiesfied with the service provided.

I'm the CEO of Bianor, a software service company with 19+ years of experience in software development, providing end to end software service in the Video segment. We have successfully completed over 200 projects, and most importantly, we employ technology with passion, integrity and excellence for the benefit of people!

For what projects/services did your company hire ITIDO, and what were your goals?

At that time we needed to onboard engineers with specific experience in Java/React, AWS, Kubernetes and we knew that ITIDO can support us in this challenging project with their specific experience and open minded approach. We needed to deliver an MVP within a period of 6 months on a limited budget.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected ITIDO due to various important reasons. Open communication, great expertise, fantastic senior management, specific expertise in the field we were looking for. In addition we wanted to work exactly with the size of company they are, not with a huge organisation where you enter a matrix and you don't get personal attitude.

They were responsible to provide the frontend and backend services for the application. In the frontend they used React.js and in the backend, they used Java’s Spring framework. The goal was to deliver an MVP of a an intelligent SAAS workflow management that brings organizations to a different level.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were 2 people involved in the front-end, another 2 in the backend and a QA engineer who was taking car of the quality of all delivarables. In addition, on the background we had the support and help of their architects and senior IT management. Along the way we had very good communication at all levels.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch the MVP within the planned time and budget. Most of all, we had a happy customer who was treated in a very personal manner. All deliverables were tested and delivered with no major defects.

They were not involved in the PM activities but rather they help with all estimations, business analyses and participated on the daily status meetings. In general the communication flow was seamless!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We loved the personal attitude we got from the senior management and the result oriented approach they have. Whenever we had any kind of issues, they were seeking for solutions that would help in the specific case. They never gave up on any problems that we encountered.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing I could suggest is to work a bit more with their engineers so they are able to present themselves in a better manner. Their team is great in terms of technical skills, but at an early stage, during the selection process, some of the devs. were not very persuasive during the talks. At the end of the day, despite this little concern, everything went more than well!

At the time of the project, I was employed by the Federal Office for the Environment and acted in my capacity as president of an association that dealt with food waste reduction.

We commissioned ITIDO to develop a mobile application that served the aims of the association to reduce food waste. In addition, ITIDO was to advise us on the implementation of the application.

The company ITIDO was recommended to us by our Bulgarian network

After the requirement engineering was completed and the functionalities were defined, the mobile application was developed and presented to us within a very short time. Small corrections were implemented quickly and flawlessly. The application was delivered to us about 1 month before the agreed deadline.

I can't estimate it because some staff members worked of their own free will and with great enthusiasm.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was completed on time, even a little faster than agreed, and the documentation was handed over to us in full. The app worked according to expectations and even exceeded our expectations.

The Managing Director Christian is a very pleasant person to communicate with, who is always there for discussions or concerns. The CTO Christo was an excellent complement to him - highly competent and fast working. Thanks a lot to both of them!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The company ITIDO combines a lot of competence with enthusiasm and customer friendliness. The conversations and discussions were always a pleasure. Two years later, I still enjoy communicating with the two founders.

I’m the founder and CEO of Agriniser, which is a digital marketplace for grains buyers and sellers.

What challenge were you trying to address with ITIDO?

ITIDO has been developing a number of features and functionalities on our marketplace. Our aim is to better engage our users and offer them more options.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Working with us, ITIDO is adding new features to improve the speed of our website. We’re currently working on a complex geolocation feature, using the Google Maps API — because of the nature of the marketplace, negotiations are anonymous, and we show only the bits and pieces of information that are required to make trading decisions.

They create wireframes and handle the design — I’m not a technical person, so I just specify what kinds of functionalities I need and then ITIDO does all the work required.  

They’ve mainly worked on the user flow, architecture, and specific functionalities, like setting counteroffers and other parts of the negotiation. The main programming language being used is PHP.

I’m working with Christo (Co-Founder & COO), Georgi (Delivery Manager), Lyubima (Business Development Manager), and 3–4 other people from ITIDO.

They’ve become a valuable partner that provides not only development work, but sales consulting. We can leverage their distinct competency in various technologies. They’re also able to consult with us to deliver the optimal solution for our client.

How did ITIDO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve performed fantastically. We’ve worked on multiple projects for different clients with them. In many cases, ITIDO had to start from scratch in the absence of best practices. This hasn’t been a trivial task, as they’ve needed to experiment with different POCs to find the best fit. Despite these circumstances, they’ve done very well.

ITIDO is providing us access to their time- and task-tracking systems. Their communication is very smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They don’t just take on tasks; they’ve even participated in the presales processes with our third-party clients. I’d recommend them to anyone for their impressive versatility and wide-ranging skillsets.

I’m the CEO and president of Knowdeom. We deliver online courses taught by MBA faculty through our web platform.

What challenges were you trying to address with ITIDO?

We worked with them in the early days of our company when we were just getting off the ground. They were brought on to build a custom platform where we could host our online courses.

They started out building the backend architecture of a custom web platform. It included some features for visualizing content, as well as an admin section. However, a few months into development, I realized there were more affordable readymade options available. We stopped their work and decided to move forward with one of those platforms instead.

We started working together at the end of 2018. We ended the project in January 2019.

The decision not to move forward with the custom development project they were working on was based on business logic, not their performance. I was pleased with their work and felt positive about the experience. The developer was excited by the work and was also dedicated to delivering. 

How did ITIDO perform from a project management standpoint?

We met over Google Hangouts once a week, but we primarily communicated over email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is the most impressive. They take pride in their work and go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy. They’re also very adaptable and professional.

Nothing comes to mind. I had no major frustrations with their work.

Make sure you have a clear vision upfront. As long as you’re proactive about communication, the easier the engagement will be.
