We started with a relatively simple project: Created a web app from our Windows Server 2008 based enterprise API. If all went well, we would expand the project to include turning the web app into an iOS and Android app. Every think went well so we continued to give more of our experimental projects to IT-Dimensions for over a decade and continue to do so today.

From our very first project until our most recent ones, IT-Dimension has always done their best and always improved as their team has grown. Over a decade after our first project, their main offices had to shut down due to an armed invasion. Their health and safety were our primary concern, not the projects we were working on. Hours within a few days we were still seeing updates to GitHub repos. 

I've never seen a dedication to work at that level from any of our other partners. Ever. Dmitry and Volodymyr started IT-Dimensions while still in college. We actively seek to work with partners with similar DNA (more than one founder, with experience working together during college). Our theory has always been that teams that grow up together develop intangible assets that can't be replicated without that shared experience.

As many businesses, we have to become visible to our potential clients, clearly explain how we can help and with simple tools get them interested in our services. So, we had to create a strong online presence (web page, with simple listing tool to advertise assets we offer); Another challenge was improving our internal performance, so we could deliver the best service to our clients. And it is only possible with the right CRM in the place where you can track the business performance.

However, from our experience, not many online-based software could cover our needs, so we had to develop our own system. This “Assets-Clients” CRM should collect all information about Assets, Clients; Schedule and measure work activity; Analyse business development for possible pivoting changes; Give general overview on a business performance. The main key deliverable is an accomplished result, which is the best KPI from the entire process. We’ve got the CRM, we’ve got an online presence, and the product was delivered to our satisfaction. What else can we ask for?

The customer service team has also seen fewer inquiries, as customers can get help quickly through chatbots. Overall, the project has been very successful, and we look forward to new projects with IT-Dimension.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

IT-Dimension has the Agile project management style, using a mix of tools and processes to ensure timely project completion. They use a combination of tools such as Jira, Slack, and Trello to communicate and track progress.

They also use Scrum methodology to manage schedules and ensure tasks are completed on time. In addition, the vendor is very communicative and responsive, providing regular updates and feedback to ensure the project is on track.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive thing about them was their commitment to customer service, their willingness and openness to work with us to customize our order. They provided excellent customer service and were very responsive to our requests.

They also worked with us to develop a customized solution for our project, which allowed us to get exactly what we needed. They were also very knowledgeable and experienced, which gave us confidence that the project would be completed on time and to a high standard.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO and president of the BIMeta Corporation; we’re geared toward creating Autodesk applications for users.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with IT-Dimension?

We needed to develop our own custom software. Since we didn’t necessarily have those capabilities internally, we hired IT-Dimension to take the lead.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave them the ideas and thought processes behind what we wanted to implement, along with the key features. We worked on a documentation phase where we wrote out exactly how we wanted the software to work and then met with them after, and they sent us pieces of the code. 

We gave them existing code that another team of developers had worked on, and they jumped into that. Most of the code was developed using C# and .NET with Visual Studio, and we shared the code back and forth with GitHub. IT-Dimension predominantly worked on development, but we did exchange Adobe Photoshop images to illustrate what we wanted the end products to look like. 

The code allows users to customize it to their needs, and they can type in any kind of plug-in they want. It reads all 220 languages, so it eliminates language barriers on a technology software level. On a functionality level, it includes AutoCAD, Revit, and Odyssey Software. There is also the automatic elevation of line weight depth, so the line rates go lighter as a user moves farther away from a building. The software was launched in early 2020. 

We continue to update the software, and we’re currently working with IT-Dimension on updating our licensing management system. 

What is the team composition?

We work with the head of their software development team, coders, and developers.  

How did you come to work with IT-Dimension?

They were a referral; we appreciated that they wanted to ensure our software was secure, so we decided to move forward with them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $10,000–$20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We have approximately 100 downloads in about 30 countries worldwide. We still have a lot of people using it on a trial basis, but we’re looking in the next year to make another partnership with a consulting company that works worldwide. 

How did IT-Dimension perform from a project management standpoint?

If there are any problems, IT-Dimension solves them quickly and normally gets back to us within a week. Everything is delivered on time, and if anything goes outside of the budget, we know it's for our benefit. We primarily communicate via Skype, WhatsApp, and email. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength by far is that there is not a single test that they don’t know about. They are so well-rounded that there’s not really anything they can’t do. We were impressed that they were able to jump into someone else’s code and move it forward for us. Everyone we worked with was incredible. They’re a top-notch company, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as thorough as you can and give them the big picture first before breaking everything down into small details. Give them documentation and discuss everything. Also, remember that you might have to pivot and be flexible in your approach. They’ll be able to give you everything you want, but it might take a little bit of time to get there.
