Please describe your company and your position there.
Tomorrowland Applications Pvt Ltd is a mobile application development firm. We come with ideas or concepts for POC which we outsource to our technology partners. My position is the Founder and CEO.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ionixx Technologies?
Ionixx Technologies was hired to develop a MVP for a concept we came out with initially and also to develop the MVP into full product based on usage in the market.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goals were the quality, UX and app design of the MVP to be top notch. There were “first time” concepts which needed a lot of research. The goals for Ionixx team were to focus on quality, UX and design of the MVP. They were also required to keep in mind the timelines we were looking at.
How did you select Ionixx Technologies?
Ionixx technologies was referred to us by their previous clients. We had calls with their sales teams and we also had the opportunity to talk to the development to know if they understand what we wanted to develop. The clarity of understanding, the ability to explain the solution and approach, technical expertise of the development team and the commitment from the management helped us select Ionixx.
Describe the project in detail.
The project was to develop a POC to test features for a social networking app based on media sharing and short messages. The Ionixx team was involved right from ideation. They participated in analyzing the features, preparing detailed analysis documents, product development roadmap, release timelines, technical architecture, development in both iOS and Android.
The product was also thoroughly tested by the team. Project management activities were also taken care of by the Ionixx team.
What was the team composition?
The team composition was a PL (Part-time), developers (iOS and Android), testers (Part-time)
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The solution was developed as per the timelines, some of the complex features were analyzed thoroughly and they worked exactly the way we wanted. The UX was fantastic and received great feedback from the users. The investors were very happy with the output and project execution.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The team followed the agile with scrum principles, the project management was excellent. We were provided with regular reports and were also involved in any issues before it reached escalation point. They were proactive in keeping us informed about any possible delays. We had regular face to face meetings with the team.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We had direct access to the developers and testers. This was extremely important for us to communicate our requirements without filters to the people who actually develop the product.
Technical architects and senior technical people were always available when we hit roadblocks. At times, when additional resources were needed, they were able to provide them at very short notice. They worked with us as a single team with collaborative ownership towards product development.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None at this point in time.

Custom Software Dev for Risk Management Company
“They took the time to conduct the research, and they were truly invested in what I was building.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of P2E Technologies, Inc. We’re a premier regulatory technology solutions provider. We work with senior executives in financial institutions to bring a more efficient, strategic, and proactive process around their risk management challenges, and to help them comply with regulatory obligations, promote their growth, and protect their reputations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ionixx Technologies?
We were looking to develop an end-to-end regulatory change management platform. I wanted to build a complex solution to relegate the complexity of compliance management as a subject. I’d been in the industry for a while, and one of my biggest challenges was all the available solutions were really complex for the end-user.
Ultimately, end-users would end up developing offline solutions to help them do what they needed to quickly. I wanted to develop an end-to-end product that’d give users a seamless experience and also work efficiently.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ionixx Technologies developed a custom software solution. We started out with a high-level description of what I wanted to do. They worked collaboratively with me to define the requirements and the skillsets needed to get it done. Their team put together workflows, wireframes, and mockups with the designers, which were then taken on by the developers.
What is the team composition?
Ionixx Technologies assigned a combination of designers, front- and backend developers, and testers. I was in contact with their project manager on a day-to-day basis. There were 11–12 people involved in total, based on how many users we had in Jira.
How did you come to work with Ionixx Technologies?
I interviewed a lot of people and chose Ionixx Technologies because of the thought process they put in taking my high-level requirements and breaking them down into the various functionalities the software needed to have.
I’d never worked in software development outside of the bank I used to work for. I asked around for referrals, and my business partner at the time actually did most of it. We got five referrals for companies from India, Argentina, Panama, China, and Pakistan, and we interviewed everyone.
One key factor for me was the vendor’s ability to speak English well. I had my own money put in, and I was working with angel investors, so whatever we built had to be within a set budget. I
also needed to go to market quickly. A lot of the providers we spoke to gave us timelines of 6–9 months instead of the three months I was hoping for. Ionixx Technologies checked all of those boxes, and the thing that clinched it for me was that they were willing to work for free for two weeks to build requirements.
That was something they proposed themselves because they were confident in their process and work. They gave it their all during those two weeks, bringing their top leadership and the people who would actually work on the project if it went forward. Their team worked with us for two weeks like they were getting paid for it, and they delivered something at that time.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent over $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in October 2018, and we launched phase one in December of that year. We ran phase two from February–November 2019. I went back to them numerous times during that period to tweak and improve the platform based on user feedback. I’m planning to continue the work after I’ve gotten enough clients. Ionixx Technologies is my system admin in the interim.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve talked to and demoed the software to about 12 different banks in the US and Panama, along with an oil and gas company, and they loved it. Compared to the existing products from big companies, my software has an intuitive UX, and everything related to project management is contained in one system. The feedback has been phenomenal on every front, from user experience and design to functionality.
How did Ionixx Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We ran the project in sprints, and they delivered functional versions of the software every three weeks. We had daily standup meetings where they presented the latest work to me and addressed my questions. Anything urgent was put on my calendar, and we were talking 2–3 times per day at times.
Team communication was mostly on Slack, we used Google Meet for calls, and anything that had to be approved and kept in writing was done through email. The communication and deliverables were timely. We never had a deadline that was missed by more than 1–2 days, and they let me know beforehand of any possible extensions.
Something that had put me off with developers in the past is that they’d basically build exactly what I described. Ionixx Technologies thought through the requirements I gave them and challenged me on those. I loved that, and it helped us build a better product. I often found that an initial idea wasn’t what I was actually looking for, but Ionixx Technologies researched my field and came back with better alternatives. We disagreed with each other’s solutions at times, but between theirs and mine, we’d find a third way that’d work. It was a collaborative process.
We went back and tweaked each new version of the software, and Ionixx Technologies developed a fully functional version in three months. I re-engaged them for the second phase after that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was the only subject-matter expert on this project, and it was great they had people who could go beyond coding and research the field. As the customer, I had a general idea of the product I wanted but didn’t know all the permutations that’d get me to that. What made Ionixx Technologies stand out was that they took the time to conduct the research, and they were truly invested in what I was building.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They were sometimes afraid to deliver bad news because they weren’t sure how I was going to react to it. This may be a personality or idiosyncrasy thing. I told them to deliver bad news early and often so that we could adjust to it and move on.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
In order to get the most out of them, clients should know themselves what they want to be delivered. The programmers won’t be subject-matter experts in the client’s field, so knowing what you want to accomplish will allow you to steer Ionixx Technologies in the right direction.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Ribbon Communications (Nasdaq: RBBN), which recently merged with ECI Telecom Group, delivers global communications software and network solutions to service providers, enterprises, and critical infrastructure sectors. We engage deeply with customers, helping them modernize their networks for improved competitive positioning and business outcomes in today’s smart, always-on and data-hungry world. Our innovative, end-to-end solutions portfolio delivers unparalleled scale, performance, and agility, and includes packet and optical networking, core to edge IP solutions, UCaaS/ CPaaS cloud offers, and leading-edge software security and analytics tools. I am the Services Product Manager for Ribbon Communications’ network transformation process and services, along with several Ribbon Communications’ products.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ionixx Technologies?
We hired Ionixx Technologies to provide software development, test, and maintenance services for supporting the network transformation tools and processes of Ribbon.
The projects include the building of A2C and TSAM tools. As documented in the mutually agreed upon Statements of Work (SOWs) as well as Ribbon Plans of Record (PORs), services were rendered on a “Time & Materials” basis.
What were your goals for this project?
Our primary goal was to enhance our migration tool set to facilitate Ribbon’s SIP subscriber data migration process from a customer’s old Application Server to a new one, using our A2C tool, making the process faster and more robust. For this purpose, we wanted Ionixx to enhance this dedicated tool for supporting SIP to SIP migrations in both an appliance and cloud environment, along with another Ribbon tool used to support trunk migration planning.
How did you select this vendor?
Based on our past relationship and experiences with Ionixx Technologies, we selected them to complete this project. We have already worked successfully with them on similar projects before, and while our project is still underway, it is being jointly coordinated by teams from both Ribbon and Ionixx.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
We had very specific business requirements for this project. Ionixx documented them and we held brainstorming sessions to finalize the requirements. Ionixx also communicated with us regularly to take our feedback and ensure our requirements were being met properly.
At present, our projects include two tools via separate SOWs:
- A2Converter (A2C) tool: To support SIP to SIP migrations
- Trunk Service Analysis & Migration (TSAM) tool: To support trunk migration planning The A2C tool project is approaching the completion stage and is now largely in the maintenance mode. The TSAM tool project is ongoing and the development is in its early stages.
What was the team composition?
Ionixx provided us with a team comprised of backend developers and a team leader. Also, we had a support and maintenance team to address our concerns during critical situations, ensuring they resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Our projects are still in process. However, it is worth mentioning that the teams in Ionixx completed significant development to enhance our existing A2C tool, thereby improving Ribbon’s SIP to SIP migration capabilities.
The A2C tool has since facilitated several real-world migrations with Ribbon’s network transformation customers. Also, the TSAM tool, once completed, will assist in trunk migration planning, resulting in a faster and more efficient process within Ribbon.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management is being jointly handled by Ionixx Technologies and Ribbon Communications in a seamless manner. Their team was committed to deadlines and they effectively communicated via weekly Skype calls to discuss the status of the project and other issues.
At times, ad hoc meetings were also held if and when necessary with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from both sides to address specific issues. Also, they communicated delays and concerns well ahead of time.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Ionixx Technologies has been very responsive to our needs and requirements. The company has always completed deliverables in a timely manner and has remained committed to the deadlines.
They take project direction well, and quality of work is excellent. Another impressive factor is Ionixx’s breadth of development expertise; they pull in the required resources with the right skill sets when required without any delay.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Though Ionixx has strived to provide us their best with respect to the development domain, one area for improvement will be communication-related. We usually get along well with the team members and have discussions to ensure they understand our requirements, but there have been a few instances when fluency-related issues impeded our understanding of what the Ionixx representatives were trying to convey while communicating. That said, we also try to listen more carefully and request a repeat of what was said when necessary.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola), was incorporated in 1978 as the financial services arm of the Murugappa Group.
Chola commenced business as an equipment financing company and has today emerged as a comprehensive financial services provider offering vehicle finance, home loans, home equity loans, SME loans, investment advisory services, stock broking and a variety of other financial services to customers.
Chola operates from 1029 branches across India. I am the Head of Marketing Corporate Communications & Gaadi Bazaar.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ionixx Technologies?
We wanted to build an end-to-end web and mobile-enabled portal for users to buy, sell, auction and carry out streamlined vehicle trading operations. We wanted to build a customer-facing application to integrate our core existing features for loan related activities, and a dealer-facing application for trade advance and inventory funding.
What were your goals for this project?
Our primary goal for this project was to build a single unified vehicle trading platform under one roof and enable seamless integration of our existing functionalities such as loan and insurance.
With our background in financing operations, we already had a good deal of existing loan and insurance customers. Through the vehicle trading marketplace, we wanted to extend our operations to include a trading system that acted as a one-stop solution for vehicles to be bought, sold, and auctioned with several integrated features such as loan, insurance, bidding and auctioning.
How did you select this vendor?
When Ionixx got in touch with us through their sales teams, we wanted to understand their working style and hence we requested for a proof of concept (POC) to be built for a similar requirement, but much smaller in terms of scale. Ionixx was able to deliver a successful POC within a short span of time without compromising on quality.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They designed, developed, an end-to-end vehicle trading solution with extensive built-in features. The project began with brainstorming sessions and contributions from our end and took a collaborative approach to building the platform. Regular face-to-face interactions with them and our team members helped us reach a mutual understanding of the business challenges and goals.
Once they built the prototype, we further approved the workflows, wireframes, and mockups leading to actual production through various sprint meetings. At every sprint, we provided feedback which they quickly incorporated to show instant iterations enabling quick decision making from our end.
Since we were working on an accelerated deadline, we were able to collaborate with them effectively as they shared the same project goals and went above and beyond to ensure bottlenecks were resolved every now and then.
What was the team composition?
We primarily worked in collaboration with a Project Lead and a Design Lead from their end along with their respective team members.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We have implemented the auction and Inventory funding services at the moment and functioning seamlessly through complete automation
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Project management was effective as the team regularly worked in sprints, allowed for collaborative execution, complied with deadlines and communicated delays on situations.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
we have direct access to both project managers and the wider team behind them. This is critical because technical things can easily be lost in translation when there's always multiple communication gets transmitted from the business to the developer and only a single middleman playing the role of messenger. They helped prevent this issue by keeping the lines of communication completely open
Are there any areas for improvement?
My suggestion for the young team members still learning the ropes is to document as much as possible before getting into real-time production. This way, project requirements are easily validated and understood.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Tenshey. I started this company after realizing my ascension to the C-suite in the tech industry as a woman was rare and shouldn’t be. My solution was to create a business with the mission to avenge the lack of gender diversity in the workplace through executive and career coaching.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ionixx Technologies?
After starting my company about two years ago, I needed help to develop our first technology platform to help map out the customer and coach journies within our services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They were in charge of designing the user journey for our web application while making it mobile responsive. The team defined how to bring in a member online into our process, including the UI experience, design, and digital technology. They built the app to be fully-functioning and immediately usable.
Now, users can sign up on our platform after providing us with information regarding their ideal career paths and what challenges they currently face in the industry. Then, they can choose their coach, schedule sessions, and track their journey. Whether it's helping someone create a career roadmap or building their executive presence, users are able to located and engage with coaches that can develop skills they’re interested in.
What is the team composition?
At any given time, there were between 3–5 teammates working on the project. I’m not sure how many people are on the backend, though.
How did you come to work with Ionixx Technologies?
I reached out to my advisors to help fill our need for custom software technology. They referred me to Ionixx Technologies. We talked with them and several other vendors, also going through an RFP phase. Their team, particularly their CEO, was enthusiastic about our mission and understood our requirements perfectly. She was excited to assemble a team to bring our platform to life. That stood out, so we went with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $25,000–$50,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project in May 2018 and finished up in April 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
At this point, we have our coaches and some customers successfully on-boarded onto the platform. That enables us to scale much faster because we no longer have to work manually through email. Our B2B clients are really appreciative of this change because it allows them to view the broad range of talent and leaders on the app. Users also have access to a number of sessions and program progress, which was appreciated.
How did Ionixx Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They did really well. When we started the project, we had weekly conference calls to discuss where we needed to focus attention. We felt very supported by them because they were always responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s one thing to have a vendor perform well, but it’s another to truly have a partner. We’ve built a genuine relationship with Ionixx Technologies. They perfectly understand our vision, and that really differentiates them from other vendors.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything to offer at this time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It's important to know exactly what you’re looking for and accurately describe it to their team. Communicate the features and priorities for the project. This advice goes for any custom software development you undertake, whether it be with Ionixx Technologies or someone else.

Crypto Trading System for Software Company

Please describe your company and your position there.
We are a software product company, and I am the CTO.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ionixx Technologies?
A complete cloud-hosted trading system complete with multi-market connections, market data, order routing services, algorithmic order types, order management system, and a risk management system.
What were your goals for this project?
To build the system from scratch, with functional and technical input from our small team in NY - in less than 6 mos. System was to be core Java, cloud-hosted, highly scalable and redundant leveraging Kubernetes.
How did you select this vendor?
We identified a pilot project that I had 4 vendors complete. Ionixx excelled in the speed, completeness, quality, and working relationship. They won our bake off.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
A core Java based micro-services architecture for aggregating data from multiple crypto markets with a web based front end, REST API, and FIX API. Target users are institutional and high-end retail.
I have 20 years of IT experience, most of which is in trading systems, and by my measure this was a complex and ambitious build. Performance, high availability, scalability, and complex functionality. The system consists of 29 microsevices, makes use of open source frameworks such as Kafka, MySQL, RabittMQ, Elastic Cache, Redis, and others. We make heavy use of Kubernetes for high availability and scalability.
The system is meant to support large numbers of web users, but with minimal latency as this is a trading system. The system supports local installations as well as cloud-hosting.
What was the team composition?
An average of 14 technical staff. Skill sets are core Java, web/React, database design, network/cloud management. 90% of the staff were consistent throughout the project - with 10% brought in as specialists for short-time projects only. The technical skills, professionalism, and the total sense of owner-ship and positive attitude from the team were top notch. The team did not have any background in trading systems, crypto, or financial services. We trained them on all domain knowledge.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The results were outstanding, The functionality, performance, and stability of the system are outstanding. Our customers, our investors, and our competitors are astounded that in 6 short months we created a system with far more functionality than our much-more-heavily funded competitors have created, especially given that they started many months or years before our project.
I will say that the ownership from our team at Ionixx has been oustanding. We do daily "stand up" meetings - with Ionixx in Chennai our team in NY. The level of detail and understanding is excellent. I believe Ionixx has as much, perhaps even more, pride and ownership in this system than we do. They have regularly pulled all nighters with many, many staff sleeping over night in the Chennai office. I can't say enough good things about the professionalism, technical skill and positive attitude of our team with Ionixx. In addition to an entirely new domain for them to learn (trading, crypto, financial services), the team had to learn several new frameworks (Kenesis, Kafka, some AWS and GCP services) which they did extremely well. We did several comparisons of frameworks, and the team understood the selection criteria and produced excellent documented results supporting their suggestion.
On top of that, as a start up, we would sometimes change priorities significantly in the middle of a sprint. We try not to do this, but sometimes it's inevitable, and the team dealt with these extremely well - quickly moving to the new priorities. Lastly, we're in production beta now and our dev team is also our production support team (for now) and doing extremely well, also providing services off hours.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
There is a project and tech lead on the Ionixx team that is involved in every aspect of the project - Baskar Natarajan. He is both the scrum master, technical lead, architect, and owner of all issuers. He has some key senior staff working with him, and several juniors on the team which he and his seniors oversee, mentor, and help along. Ionixx has a significant bench so when we needed specialized technical skill, or UX design, they were always able to accommodate us.
We have a daily 1-2 hour stand up meeting with our entire team in NY (6) and the entire team in Chennai (14) . Each person provides and update. We use Jira to manage the scrum board and issues. We have 3 week sprints, followed by sprint recaps and next sprint planning. As the CTO, I was responsible for the team selection (Ionixx), tech stack, microservices architecture, and all the funcitonal and technical documentation - which was (is) extensive.
We also provided docs on domain knowledge. Our intent was to create a long-term relationship with Ionixx - not just a project, but a forever off-shore team which we consider "our" team. Swathi and Manju, owner/managers of Ionixx, are outstanding the work wtih and meet with us here in NY monthly (Manju flys in from LA, Swathi is based here in NY). We created a structure between our two companies that provides the correct incentives two both firms, and the employees of both firms. The management results speak for themselves - from nothing to production on 6 mos.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their range of technical and architectural skills really impressed us. Additionally, owership, dedication, range of skills (depth of bench), attitude, ability to learn new domains, abilit to learn new technologies, attention to detail, flexibility.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Nothing worth mentioning. I have worked with many many offshore and near shore teams, including India, Singapore, Budapest, Poland, Mexico, Tokyo, London, and other locations. A manager must have good management skills with offshore teams to get good results. Clear, complete communication is key - detailed documents, both functional and technical, are key.
Lastly, treat your team with respect. Technical people love to solve problems and more than anything, they love a successful results and to see the application used and loved. A see a lot of companies that try offshore have bad results, including departments within the same companies I've worked for in the past, and mostly it's been a failure on the US-side management, not managing remotely well, not knowing what to look for in a team. Ionixx produced the best results I've ever had in any offshore team.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Muster Technologies, a product company that released a location-based social dining app called Muster.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ionixx Technologies?
As a startup, our biggest challenge was the initial investment in development; doing that in the U.S. or Canada would have cost us a lot. Coming from Chennai, India and having an outsourcing background, I wanted to outsource development to reduce our cost and increase efficiency.
We worked with another company in Chennai, but we had a rough time. We needed passion, motivation, and ambition from the company. This was our only product, but, for them, it was one among many. It was tough for us to keep them focused toward a release. We struggled to find a partner that was as enthusiastic as us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ionixx is our technology partner. We guided them toward what we needed for the concept. They’ve done almost everything for us, including development, testing, project management, maintenance, and troubleshooting. We had an existing product that we enhanced with the help of their team. The app was built for Android and iOS as a native product.
The most important part of a product is how the troubleshooting is done. We tried to provide a uniform experience across our user base. We had variable results—the app was working for some but not for others—but Ionixx came on board and made sure that our user experience was the same for everyone.
Development is a nonstop process, and we’re starting a new round of funding. We’re confident in doing this because of their team. It will take a long time for us to build an internal team, so Ionixx is our long-term plan.
What is the team composition?
I’m not sure what the full size of the team was. We have one point of contact with them.
How did you come to work with Ionixx Technologies?
I go to startup events and met Swathi (Co-Founder and VP of Growth, Ionixx Technologies) at one of them. She was terrific. From the moment I met her, I understood how ambitious she was to create a platform and help our startup. She understood what we needed, maintained efficient communication, and delivered on time, which was key. I visited her website, which looked professional. Ionixx represented the perfect technology partner for us.
When I decided to change technology partners, I wanted to have an internal point of contact. My CTO was in Chennai so it was convenient for him to handle Ionixx’s development team, geographically speaking. At the same time, I wanted to have a point of contact with the internal management team; Swathi was a tailor-made fit for us in that scenario. I discussed it with my CTO, and he researched their previous products and was happy.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $20,000 CAD (approximately $15,300 USD) with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Ionixx in January 2018 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We are making our investors happy. This is dependent on how good and stable our product is. Ionixx came in and fixed our problem, stabilizing and upgrading the app. Our investors saw this, and we’ve been getting warm messages from them.
Our ratings are close to 4 on Android and iOS, and we have nearly 50,000 users. This is definitely due to the UX. We’ve also looked at our error and crash rates on the backend, which are minimal. We are on par with what Google and Apple expect in terms of quality.
How did Ionixx Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re experienced, and resources are not a problem for them given that Ionixx has a parent company. Ionixx has a great resource pool, and they’re able to keep their members efficient throughout. Their management skills are perfect.
We worry about resources leaving as it takes time for someone else to come in and learn about the project, and time is money. Ionixx’s resources have come and gone, but the transitions have been smooth.
We mostly use email for communication. For situations that demand discussions, my CTO talks to them. My team has only met Ionixx once or twice. When we went to them, the product beta was already launched. We were clear about our requirements, and their communication with us was to the point. We don’t talk a lot. It’s quite smooth.
They understand problems quickly, and we didn’t have to ask them what was happening on a daily basis. They made efficient, long-term fixes, which we really appreciated. They’ve taken the time to let us know when a problem might require a complex fix. We’ve gone back to the drawing table and had discussions about having short- or long-term fixes. Choosing the latter might be time- and budget-consuming, but it’s often worth it. The technology partner needs to be willing to do this, and Ionixx is.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They might be on the higher side in terms of fees, but, even though previous tech partners charged us less, they required more development hours. The time spent by Ionixx on development is less in comparison, so we’ve spent less money with them overall. They have a premium service, but they don’t cost as much as one would think when initially talking to them. With them, the pain is minimal, and the spend is even less. This is a top-rate package for me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I’m a happy customer.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
As I mentioned, Ionixx might seem more expensive than other groups, but they also offer more. Startups shouldn’t get confused about the fee structure and go for a lesser group that will take longer to finish the work.
As clients look at the bigger picture, Ionixx will give them peace of mind in terms of development and project management.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Harmoni, a mobile application that allows refugees to work from their smartphones.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ionixx Technologies?
We didn’t have the in-house technical expertise to build a first-version app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
After I briefed them on the scope, Ionixx walked me through the whole process. They tweaked our mock-ups and proceeded into development with designs that complemented our original concept. The team built the app to have two sides – one for users and the other for the administrator – to let me input different types of work for the users to do. They completed the app and tested it.
What is the team composition?
The project manager was my main point of contact. I also spoke with the developers on a consistent basis.
How did you come to work with Ionixx Technologies?
A friend of mine, whose judgment I trust, recommend Ionixx after working with them. When I spoke with them, they seemed very affordable and willing to help me with every aspect of the project. I felt Ionixx went above and beyond what other companies I spoke to offered.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them between July – November 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I like how they built the whole platform for me; it was everything I wanted. This is the first version and it has decks needed to build the second and third iterations. They built a clear and user-friendly admin dashboard without that much direction from me. The UX/UI design was also impressive.
How did Ionixx Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They were with me every step of the way. Although Ionixx is based in India, the project manager was in Los Angeles, which made communication. We didn’t have any problems with language barriers or time difference. We mostly communicated via email and Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They felt like they were on my team when I was working with them. Ionixx was invested in my work and how to support it. The team had great suggestions, especially when we switched back from one of my ideas that proved to be wrong.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I had a really wonderful experience with them. I may have had suggestions during a longer engagement, but I wouldn’t change anything about this project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear in every single detail of the instructions and ask their opinion. They’ll say whether an idea is feasible or not.

Please describe your company and your position there.
CROSSBOW was established in 2017 as a company offering digital employment background verification with the brand name of “DigiVerifier”. The company has had a wide range of customers including Mindtree, KPMG, A-Check Global, and VHS Consulting. Operating as a Bangalore based start-up for the past 3 years, the workforce at our company includes experienced HR-domain specialists and data scientists. I am the founder of CROSSBOW.
For what projects/services did your company hire Ionixx Technologies?
We wanted to develop a customised website from scratch for our clients for the purpose of screening new employees during the interview process. The main criteria to screen the employees was based on their work experience details.
What were your goals for this project?
Our primary goal was to reduce the extra amount of time needed while processing the work experience of a particular employee. We wanted to detect the number of years of experience along with the gaps in the careers of the employees during the recruitment process, in the least possible time.
How did you select this vendor?
With the word of mouth, the leadership team at CROSSBOW got to know about Ionixx. When we got in touch with the sales team in Ionixx, we wanted to understand and estimate their capacities. This included reviewing the security and compliance process, assessing the experience and background of the technical teams and checking the customer references. Hence we made a request for a working model and Ionixx was able to deliver a quality model within a short span successfully.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
As we had very specific business requirements, Ionixx Technologies documented them and had a brainstorming session to finalize the requirements. Post this stage, prototyping was done methodologically, keeping in mind that our requirements are met properly. Ionixx arranged regular calls for taking our feedback and during all these times, the communication was seamless and clear. During critical situations, Ionixx makes sure that they provide proper response and resolve the bottlenecks efficiently.
What was the team composition?
We had a team of frontend developers, backend developers, a testing resource and a team leader. We also had a support team to address our concerns during difficult situations.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The completion of the project was a major achievement for our executive leadership, board of directors, and workforce. In fact, the process of screening new employees during the interview process became faster. The error-rate in determining the work experience and gaps in career became nil; the website streamlined the entire recruiting and background verification process.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The project management was handled by Ionixx Technologies in a very smooth and impressive manner. Their team was committed to deadlines and they effectively communicated exclusively through Hangout calls with the respective technical teams and project leaders. In fact, the communication was transparent even with the AWS service team. They communicated delays and concerns well ahead of time.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
One of the most impressive things about Ionixx Technologies is that they are up to date and highly skilled with the latest technologies. As far as deadlines are concerned, they never miss them and are very serious about being in sync with the stipulated timelines. Other noteworthy things include the way they proactively supported the project. I also found it to be a cost-effective solution, compared to other service providers.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Risk management process should be an integral part of any project. I recommend that they go for reputed certifications such as ISO 27001 that can boost the customer’s confidence and increase the trust.
The Ionixx Technologies team delivered the MVP on time and as required. Its features met the app development firm's specifications. The UX received positive feedback from end users, and stakeholders were satisfied with the output.
