We are actually not a company, but rather a local Non Governmental Organisation in the sector of tourism, culture and education, named 365 Association. Our biggest projects are called Free Sofia Tour and Free Plovdiv Tour, but we also stand behind numerous touristic services, such as the Culture, Communist and Alternative Tours, the Red Flat Museum and #LOVESOFIA - a theater play in English. I work as the Vice President of the NGO and deal with partnerships and development of new projects.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inveitix?

Once I started working for 365 Association in 2016, we were on the verge of a big rise in the tourist sector, since companies such as Wizz Air and Ryan Air started flying regularly to Sofia. This meant a great deal to our team, since it opened an opportunity to meet many more tourists in Sofia and Plovdiv on a daily basis. On the other side, our team was still rather small and operated to this point on the principle of voluntary work mostly. Therefor we did not have a lot of resource to invest in our online presence. However, we wanted to step up our online outlook and decided to invest in redesigning our websites - 365association.org, freesofiatour.com and freeplovdivtour.com. The webpages were very outdated, all of them were written on custom code and were not easily accessible for us, in order to make internal changes and update the information about our services. The main priority of the project therefore was redesigning these websites, implementing wordpress, so that we have an easy access to the control panel, implementing ways of booking services online and structuring the internal information presented there in a better, more user friendly way.

What were your goals for this project?

Our websites were already using pretty old domains and were scoring very high in google on different searches. We definitely wanted to preserve that, but also make the pages more modern, presentable and user friendly. Another big goal was the implementation of online booking systems, so that our customers can book our tours online and also pay online. The last goal was to turn the pages into a good structured online portal for information through our old blog posts and the once we have been writing ever since.

How did you select this vendor?

The answer here is simple - I knew the main person behind the company - Emilian Kadiiski, with whom we shared the same career path as teachers under the program Teach for Bulgaria. I was aware that Emo had a dream to go back to the city of Vratsa and engage as many people as possible to start learning and working in the field of IT and Programming so I trusted him and the company as a result of our personal connection.

The project had different aspects: 1. Wordpress implementation which would allow our team to use the website on a daily basis, updating every single piece on the site such as text, pictures, carousels, website tabs etc. 2. Redesign of the main page and the landing pages as well. Creating carousels, implementing text and pictures in high quality. 3. Booking options for our users - something essential for the development of our paid services. 4. Working on optimizing internal information and migration of content, especially our blog posts - optimizing content via new google requirements. 5. Optimizing the speed of the websites and their mobile interface and overall outlook.

What was the team composition?

The team was composed of one project lead and one developer, who worked on the project and the different tasks.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Overall the websites started performing much better, loaded much faster, scored even higher in google depending on key word searches. As a result we nearly tippled the size of our monthly visitors and thanks to the booking forms managed to present and sell our services to many new customers, who were overall impressed with our online and offline presence.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Everything was flawless - we always had a very direct and personal approach and could communicate effectively in online meetings and on the phone. Emilian, who was the project manager during the implementation, was always there when we needed him and supervised the projects throughout. What surprised us very positively is that he stayed in contact with us years after the projects were brought to finish to give extra advise and to fix minor mistakes, when he spotted them.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The personal approach, the willingness to help organizations in the non governmental sector, that have an ideal goal and to adapt their prices to the occasion, without affecting the quality of their work.

Over the years, Bulgarian history, folklore and traditions have been lost little by little. The idea of the platform is to find and preserve, through photographs, documents, stories and songs, these values from small towns and villages in northwestern Bulgaria. The documents included in the site "Time Travel Map" are part of the created digital archive of the region of Vratsa - XX century - history, culture, life and traditions, landmarks.

Authentic elements of life in each of the settlements (text, sound, photography) of the Vratsa region. Valuable records, documents and photographs go out of oblivion to be preserved and displayed - presented in the best, publicly accessible way, to reveal the life of one of the most colorful and interesting, but at the same time one of the poorest and most deprived regions of Bulgaria today.

What were your goals for this project?

The goals of the project is to digitalize the documents and to preserve, protect and popularize the folklore and history in Vratsa region. This is important because many of the villages in the region are permanently depopulated in recent decades, and a lot of the heritage is often destroyed by negligence, lack of knowledge of their importance or simply left in the empty houses.

We have worked before with the company on different projects. We wanted to work with young people who could help us create the technology for our project in a modern way.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

An online platform that allows all users to view all municipalities in the Vratsa region. In each municipality, all cities and villages are described in detail. The description includes settlement history, beliefs and traditions, local stories, local revolutionaries.

Simple and easy way to edit and add new settlements and stories. For every settlement we can add and edit the texts, pictures, videos and sound records. For the backend is used Laravel on PHP and for the front end is used JavaScript, ajax, jquery and bootstrap, for the database is used MySQL.

What was the team composition?

We worked with one developer for this project who made the back end and front end.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The platform is a unique wat to present the culture heritage of the region. It is the first of its kind and it started to gain popularity shortly after we released it. Maybe because we are able to add new scientific and historical materials constantly. We started getting recognition from different institutions and medias.

We received award from the major in Vratsa. We received the most famous national award for libraries and library work - “Hristo G. Danov” in the category ”Literature and Culture”. We also received some other domestic awards. Other Our online popularity raised because it is really easy to add scientific and historical materials.

Other libraries from different regions liked our platform and wanted to help them create one of their own. Many of the photos have no caption and do not know their origin, but through the platform people across the country and abroad recognize and share where the photos are from, and even through the platform they trace their ancestry and roots.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We managed the project and the communication was great. We knew what we want and gave them the design and they made everything the way we wanted it.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They gave more than we expected. They added new features and functionality after the release which was really kind. The project was a specific one and we are glad that we were able to bond quickly and make it happen.

The goals of the project were to raise awareness about the major online risks among 7-15-year old children and empower them to use effective preventative measures for mitigating those risks.

At the same time, we want to encourage children to actively seek support from the consultants of the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre and from trusted adults, such as parents and teachers in an effective and a fun way.

How did you select this vendor?

Invetix is unique in Bulgaria in that it both has competative expertise in developing mobile applications and it consists of employees that have experience and are motivated to work with children.

This project required a profound understanding of the target group (7-15 year old children), so that the mobile app was both educational and engaging. Inverix was the natural choice.

We achieved our objectives in four steps:

  1. Development of the first of its kind mobile application for safe internet use in Bulgaria.
  2. Provision of a comprehansive gamified tool for recognizing the major online risks and their corresponding preventative measures.
  3. Involvement of peer-to-peer child trainers and teacher facilitators from 2 Bulgarian schools in in the dissemination of positive online content in a supportive and cooperative way.
  4. Direct connection between children and expert consultants about online safety.

Three PHP developers and two online safety experts.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since launch the Safenet App has become one of the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre's major tools for training children about online safety.

It has also proven to be extremely effective peer-to-peer training tool, as it has been used in 10 schools for training more than 200 children about the major online risks and the ways to combat them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The employees from Invetix were very comprehansive of the concept and the app specification and created a product that perfectly matched our expectations. They were also very responsive and in the majority of cases quickly fixed bugs and improved the app functionalities based on feedback.

The only time we had a gap in the communication was when we requested a clear process for accessing the user data for the mobile app and are still struggling to find one.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Two things impressed me equally:

  • Their deep comprehension of the business (in this case project) needs.
  • They are passionate about working on socially beneficial projects, especially when they address children.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As already mentioned, we would like to recieve clear instructions on accessing end evaluating the user data of the app both in iOS and in Google in order to evaluate its impact.

How did you select this vendor?

We had heard of them through news outlets and they were recommended by experts with knowledge of the subject matter. Given the unique position of the World Bank, our preference was to hire a company in a developing country which would have been able to execute and was also cost-effective.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

At the request of the Georgian and Armenian governments, we started the development of a pilot prototype for peer-to-peer index insurance platform which utilizes satellite data to trigger the execution of the insurance contracts.

All of the software development was done by Inveitix. This included the front-end development, the back-end development and database management as well as the integration with the various APIs and data providers.

In addition, the project included a blockchain component where parts of the contract were stored on a blockchain.

What were your goals for this project?

The main goal for me was to promote in a modern way real estate services and available properies, due to easier communitacion between my company and clients.

I made my own research, also they were recommended by other company.

They create my company`s web page www.studio4.marketing using laravel framework connected with admin`s panel, where I can upload, delete all databse with properties and manage all client`s enquiries. For me was not so easy to understand all process and steps of creating web page, more important was to see visible results in the end of this project. Real estate web pages are specific in a way that affects directly to client`s attention as well as business income. In real estate it is better not having company`s web page instead of having not userfriendly one.

What was the team composition?

The team lead is Emilian Kadiisky and I had communicate with web developer Emil Sergeev. Both of them were very helpful to me and understanding client`s needs. I really appreciate their professional work and definitely would recommend them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

For one year many people visit the page, for local business the results are very good (excluding paid promotions).

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I think it was very good organized, all of the team followed schedule and each part of the page was created by different person, all of them were good managed by the team lead. We had shared folder where I can upload any of my visions, ideas, questions about certain case during the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The communication is always open, it is very good to know exaclty where is your project in time line. Feels good to know that someone is standing on his words.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The only thing is that it might be good for their team to have a designer, to precise final look of pages they create.
