Eurostar train app
Eurostar required a web and mobile application to automate its business-critical ERP processes and enable further convenience for their customers. IntellectSoft created Eurostar iTM, which hosts a range of functions including reservation management, streamlined reporting and an internal chat function via the app. Managers are able to control everything from responding to possible issues during the journey like jammed doors or malfunctioning seats to enabling train managers to book taxis upon customers’ request. Eurostar iTM
A high-speed railway pioneer gains a series of automated solutions to process passenger information, improve on-board services, and report critical information to passengers.
Challenge
Eurostar serves 10.5 million passengers annually and has over 8,000 transactions going through its website daily.
Eurostar required a web and mobile application to automate its business-critical ERP processes and enable further convenience for their customers. The app functionality needed to display multiple journey reports, collect journey-specific data, report up-to-date arrival/departure dates, and more.
Solution
Intellectsoft developed an employee-facing cloud solution for web and iOS named Eurostar iTM. By building on Eurostar’s existing application, our dedicated development team expanded functionality and improved management of content and user roles. The new interface greatly simplified reservation management, streamlined reporting, and introduced an internal chat function via the app.
The solution helps train managers capture and process information on passengers, successfully deal with various journey situations, send e-messages and dépêche to report critical information. The app shows special information on travelers – kids, pregnancy, special occasions and more – to guarantee appropriate on-board conditions for every traveler. The app’s features provide train managers with a convenient tool to book a taxi right on board at the request of a passenger.
Impact
This was an obligatory tool for internal use, so positive user feedback was more important than ever. The product was well-received and resulted in a boost to productivity and reporting accuracy.
As a result, we became Eurostar’s go-to development partner and helped them fast track new projects through regular workshops and access to a dedicated team. Our next collaboration with Eurostar would be the web-based ticket and seating app EMOS.

Challenge
Jaguar Land Rover commissioned Intellectsoft to develop an effortless way of advancing communication for the company’s representatives from different language groups.
Solution
Intellectsoft created a multi-language iPad app with an intuitive interface that covers all of the company’s communication needs. JLR Talk is an application that features speech recognition function, so that users who speak different languages can freely communicate without any problems with each participant communicating freely in their native tongue. The application supports 16 languages and allows a speech-to-text conference call translator to receive voice or text in one language and translate into another on the fly.
The functional of our application help users to participate in up to 5 conferences at a time, with each conference counting up to 30 participants. Taking into consideration accessibility of the Internet all around the world, this means that people from different countries can easily communicate with each other. JLR Talk also has such an option as ‘Save to PDF’. The app is fully designed to meet business needs.

Brauer helps its customers conquer complex logistical challenges. When equipment unexpectedly fails, customers expect Brauer to fix it immediately.
Challenge
Brauer is one of the industry's most trusted material handling solutions providers. For them, the ability to quickly respond to issues that arise from equipment performance or use is crucial. However, response time can get slowed down by users submitting incomplete support requests or being unable to locate the right department. Brauer sought faster ways their customers could interact with their service team and chose Intellectsoft to help them implement it in real life.
Solution
We developed a solution featuring QRcode and barcode scanning that maximizes efficiency of primary contact between clients and client service representatives. It is fully integrated with iOS, Android, LAMP Admin Panel applications, and Zendesk. From now on, users can scan QR codes directly from units enrolled in the program and submit automated service requests to the dispatch center. The system seamlessly processes user inquiries and ensures that representatives have all the required data. The Assistant then instantly puts users in direct contact with the relevant company representative for any of Brauer’s departments.
Impact
With the Brauer Service Call Assistant we developed, the client was able to nurture stronger customer relationships and take sales efforts to a whole new level.For their customers, it resulted in less paperwork and shorter downtime. Any purchase, service upgrade, or service request could be swiftly addressed with a mobile device. This mobile technology enabled Brauer to provide customers with reliable products and outstanding service.

Arthur Guinness Day
Guinness is the most popular brand of stout beer on the planet and one of the most successful beverage brands worldwide. Its 250-year history is founded on peerless brand loyalty and a deep relationship with its customers.
Challenge
Guinness knew exactly what it needed - a tool to collect marketing data more effectively while strengthening the bond between the brand and its customers. This app would provide customers with interactive marketing messages designed to entertain and educate.
Solution
We studied the brand’s existing marketing approach to help define the most engaging mobile strategy for Guinness. Our team landed on a solution which employed the SQLite engine to create a native iOS app based around Arthur Guinness Day.
The app contained several mini-games and quizzes relating to the history of Guinness and the fun-filled Irish holiday. Aside from the app’s entertainment value, it encouraged customers to share their drinking preferences and thereby provide valuable market insights. Finally, we localized the app into 7 languages (Dutch, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian, German and the English) so everyone’s favorite stout could talk to customers from around the world. Reaching and maintaining contacts with every client is an extremely important step for any successful marketing strategy. Our application offers users to participate in a quiz presenting interesting facts from sir Arthur Guinness' life. Sound performance and outstanding design completely absorb a user.

Sumitomo
Our client is a global manufacturing leader of plastic injection molding machines. They offer more than 50 different models, and more than 250 attachments and options for the equipment.
Challenge
With such a huge range of options, the quantity of products required a highly complex Request-for-Quotation (RFQ) when it came to understanding how best to identify the unique solution to each customer’s need. This complexity resulted in a delay in equipment delivery time. The client needed to simplify the estimation process to help reduce the lead-in time required before delivery.
Solution
Intellectsoft worked with the client all the way through the concept-to-design phase of the project. In talking with the client, Intellectsoft listened closely to their needs and developed an application for iOS tablets.
This app came in the form of an employee-facing questionnaire which can be used on iPads, carried by sales representatives in the field and at trade shows. The simplified questionnaire gathers all of the client’s requirements, then generates and emails an RFQ directly to SHI headquarters. The app helps the customer select the right plastic injection moulding forming machine from a variety of different machine manufactured by Sumitomo SHI Demag.
The app is used by SHI sales team and partners of SHI. A list of questions narrows down the eligable machines until the correct match is found based on price and capaity.
Impact
Intellectsoft’s app has the capacity to improve the interactions between sales representatives and the customer by reducing the complexity of the questionnaire and the time it takes to complete it. The ability to directly email the client’s head office means that office staff will gain a better understanding of the client’s needs. The requirements also arrive in a faster, more accurate email generated by the app. The immediate email delivery of the RFQ will give the client the ability to deliver injection molding machines with reduced lead-in time.

RadAngel

The Rad Angel app is developed and designed in cooperation with Kromek to measure the radiation you may be exposed to daily and indicate the hazard. The results of the radiation measurement are displayed as a ‘RadBar™’. RadBar™ is an entirely new way to understand the radiation we are all exposed to. It enables us to distinguish between the natural background radiation which we have always been exposed to from the undesirable sources such as release of radioactive material from a nuclear reactor or processing plant. User registers a profile on Kromek’s site outside of the app and enters their subsequent code into the relevant application screen. This will work with an API to upload the data to their online profile.

Challenge
E&Y needed to reinforce their reputation for thought leadership by providing financial professionals with a consistent stream of expert opinions and education. Content also needed to remain approachable and easily digestible to differentiate the firm from competing publishers.
Solution
The resulting mobile solution was given the name Forecasts in Focus--and designed to deliver value at each end. First, inventive development techniques ensured that editors at E&Y could use their CMS to upload copy, graphics, and other media content directly into the app. Then, users were empowered to customize their own interfaces with hand-picked webcasts, industry-specific reports and geo-located updates.
The app we developed for Ernst & Young offers users great opportunities, including manipulation of the values and axis to draw various perspectives. Cirrus Insight
Cirruspath is a cross-platform SaaS company specializing in apps that integrate Salesforce CRM tools with email. Cirrus Insight was the first product to integrate Salesforce with Gmail, iPhone, Android, and Microsoft Office 365.
Challenge
Having enjoyed significant success with their Cirrus Insight sales tool, their customers had come to rely on a range of features with a high-level of functionality. Cirruspath reached out to Intellectsoft to develop a mobile application that would extend the capabilities of their Salesforce integration to the iOS platform. This would require a team to develop an application programming interface that retained existing features as well as optimize additional functions.
Solution
To re-create and enhance the capabilities of Cirrus Insight, the mobile application would come to include 60 screens, which represented an unusual level of complexity. Careful attention had to be paid throughout the development process to ensure that the navigation and user experience would not be compromised in any way.
A team of nine developers created a full-featured mobile email client with built-in, advanced CRM functionality. The app was entirely native with communication to the Cirrus Salesforce-integrated platform via a private API.
The application was initially released to support iPhone and was followed soon after by iPad support. The final version, like the web version, offering multi-language support and compatibility with all email systems.
Impact
With the new mobile version of Cirrus Insight, Salesforce users were able to view, add, edit, and update Salesforce from anywhere using their iOS device. The tool has proved indispensable to sales teams for the generation and management of new leads and contacts. Happening since 1892 in the namesake neighbourhood of Oslo that has one of the best ski jump hills in the world, Holmenkollen Ski Festival has long become one of the most popular sports events in Norway and Europe, with athletes competing in ski jumping, cross-country skiing, and biathlon over the course of several days.
Challenge
Holmenkollen turned to Intellectsoft to build an event app with essential features — in a month. The app needed to provide all the event-related information to the guests and help them navigate the location, in a comfortable experience without printed materials.
Solution
Using our approach that combines custom software development and a low-code mobile app platform, Intellectsoft created an app with comprehensive News, Schedule, and Results sections, a vivid map and uncluttered FAQ section — all in a clean and appealing design.

The company is a luxury resorts and entertainment operator in Asia whose vast locations offer a wide a selection of suites of different scale, from multi-bedroom rooms to big two-story villas.
Challenge
Expending their chain with one more giant hotel, the client turned to Intellectsoft for a universal smart room app — their first experience in outsourcing software development. The client tasked us with creating a solution that would allow the guests to control a wide range of amenities in their suite, order hotel services, and give them all the information related to their stay. The app’s user experience needed to extend the chain’s unrivalled hotel experience to mobile.
Solution
Working in close collaboration with the client on and off site, we developed a single Android app with pre-set designs for each suite type. In a fluid, eye-pleasing, and uncluttered design, the guests can control air conditioning, light, windows, media centers and TV. They can browse the menus from the resort’s many restaurants, and the in-room dining menu. Other features include ordering guest services, in-app chat with stuff, notifications. The app’s functionality extends further to providing information about the resort, flight schedules, and more.
Impact
The app successfully extended the chain’s unmatched hotel experience to mobile, making the guests’ stay even more comfortable and enjoyable.

Deltager
Challenge:
A Nordic leading event service provider requested additional programmers to complete their team and develop new functionalities for their event portal. Taking into account that their 10-year old model built in .NET was already outdated, Intellectsoft professionals needed to migrate the platform to Angular and bring the innovations to life.
Solution:
After a series of productive workshops we conducted in Norway, the event portal sparkled with new functionality and improved UX. The solution we assisted in building was software for organizing registrations and payments as well as evaluating participants' feedback. Our team also worked on simplifying a new event set up for organizers and registration page model.
Impact:
Intellectsoft managed to improve UX and reshape some of the integral system functionalities. In addition, we reduced the number of steps for organizers to set up their events. From now on, they can create their accounts with Deltager AS and arrange events. Now, all the processes are much more simple and streamlined.

I’m the director of project management at Archrival, a youth culture agency. We do a lot of strategy, design, and field marketing projects for brands worldwide. We provide research, design, digital production, and development work.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intellectsoft?
We were designing and developing in-house a custom app to serve our field teams. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to let go of our development team halfway through the project. We were looking for a partner to take over the full development of our app and its features.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intellectsoft is developing our native app that displays various kinds of reports, and it’s available on Android, iOS, and the web. Our field teams fill out forms through the app, and their data gets consolidated in an analyzed page on the platform. The app also allows our teams to input their schedules, log their time in a location, and upload pictures and qualitative data.
First, Intellectsoft helped us with requirements gathering, and from there, they designed low-fidelity wireframes. We worked together to come up with the final design. We’ve then collected all the other requirements, and Intellectsoft has developed the app against those requirements.
Intellectsoft has also provided us with a business analyst, and she ensures that we’re developing features that will get the most impact on the app. Likewise, they’ve assigned a project manager that ensures our budgets and scope are in place and that we’re hitting our deployments and releases on time.
Throughout the development, Intellectsoft conducts live demos for us. They go through a sprint lifecycle, and we test everything they’ve developed. They implement once they get our thumbs up. They’re also handling all our App Store uploads and certifications.

We’ve worked with Maria (IT Project Manager), a business analyst, one designer, two frontend developers, and some backend developers. We also have a QA specialist that pops in and out as needed. Maria is our main point of contact.

It’s been tricky at first since we’ve had a development team in-house, and we’ve handed off our entire codebase to Intellectsoft without any introduction or training. They’ve had to get their hands dirty pretty quickly to understand our codebase, system, and functionalities. That way, they can make recommendations to move off of our existing platforms.
Intellectsoft’s suggestions made sense to us early on. They’ve saved us some money because we’ve been able to consolidate moving everything to Amazon infrastructure. Their work has helped speed up our deployment and make a lot of things easier. Now they’re at a place where they’ve fully reviewed and cleaned up the existing code. We’ve seen a reduction in bugs that popped up since working with them.
How did Intellectsoft perform from a project management standpoint?
Ever since Maria got involved, Intellectsoft’s project management has been excellent. We regularly meet to discuss commitments, progress, and issues. Maria has been able to put things front and center and raise any flags way early in the process so we can stay on budget.
We want to make sure that we’re tracking the budget we set forward. They’ve been on target every single month with our expectations. We use Slack and Zoom to communicate.

Intellectsoft’s communication is very efficient and clear — there’s never any confusion about expectations and where we’re at with the project.

Intellectsoft team members helped us create a well-designed data analysis solution keeping our customers’ needs in mind. We worked together on the project for 6 months and released it by the end of March, 2021. We started from scratch and finished the development process according to the deadlines we requested.

My company, GeoZilla, acquired Family Locator approximately nine months ago. The application was very popular among families, and it was also very successful financially. After we made the deal, we went to Intellectsoft to help us improve the application. We utilized their expertise and resource pool.

One of the challenges we faced after acquiring Family Locator was to design a roadmap to migrate it into our cloud infrastructure. We used Intellectsoft’s expertise to make the best choice on how to do this, picking Google as a cloud provider.

What challenge were you trying to address with Intellectsoft?
We needed extra programmers to help us develop new functionalities on our platform as well as migrate our platform from .NET to Angular.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first part of our solution is a software for organizing registrations and payments and also to evaluate from the participants on those events. We had a 10-year old model in .NET that was quite old fashioned. They helped us to rebuild it in Angular with more functionality and better UX.
The biggest project that they just finished was a new event setup. It’s possible for organizers to create their own accounts with us and set up their own events. That was way too complicated on the old platform. It’s fewer steps for the organizer to set up their event now.
They finished two models and in December, they started with the third model, which is to simplify our registration page model. Last week, we invited a team to Norway for workshops. We defined the next project that will be a communication tool on a new platform.

We have three developers in-house and three dedicated developers from Intellectsoft in Ukraine.
We’ve now asked them to move our stack to Azure and optimize our database. There will be a part-time person that will be added to help with that.

We didn’t spend much time specifying the project before we started working with them. We have bi-weekly sprint planning, and their three developers are in daily contact through Slack and weekly telephone meetings with the tech lead in Ukraine. They give us weekly reports on Friday afternoons on what was done the past week and what the potential issues are that I have to look into.
There are monthly management calls as well with both teams. They’re very good at following up on sending an invoice and making sure I’m paying on time. I’m very happy with their service and how they managed the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I appreciate that they send me weekly updates and have monthly management calls. I was skeptical at the beginning and didn’t see the need for it, but it’s been a good thing to have two separate channels for technical and managerial issues.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I expressed my concern about the speed. I’m happier having a live, 90% model than to wait three more months to get it 95%. It’s a consequence of our tech lead in Ukraine who is a smart developer and doesn’t want to deliver anything that we’re not 100% happy with. What we did was look at the process to see how we can improve the process and speed up the testing part on our side.

In the initial stage, we completed a workshop with Intellectsoft in Kyiv, Ukraine, where their main development team is located. The workshop involved a full week’s analysis of business and project needs that resulted in the full scope of the project. We found it to be very helpful.
When we were ready to proceed, we engaged Intellectsoft to develop the MVP. Then we moved into the next phase of building the web-based application, making enhancements along the way. Intellectsoft also helped with the app’s design and the look and feel. We provide input and their designer produces designs based on our feedback.

We later shifted to them becoming self-sufficient and working more closely with the designers so that I didn’t have to be as involved. That process has worked out well, and they still provide regular updates.
