UI/UX Design for EdTech Company
"I could have ratted them higher than 5 if I could. I have enjoyed working with them on this project."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder and CEO of Bukscholar a edtech company
For what projects/services did your company hire Intelivita?
Bukscholar is at early stage of development, we contacted Intelivita after failed attempt to get another company to capture our vision and design a prototype that captures these as a whole, we needed the UI/UX design
How did you select this vendor?
We contacted BIPC in our local area who gave us the link to Clutch platform, we read through the reviews and picked Intelivita as we thought they should be a good fit, we filled their online form and got a call back same day, we then arranged a first meeting, that was all we needed to be convinced we found the right agency to work with as they brought a wealth of knowledge from that very first discussion.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
What started off as a quick design project as we had the scope ready for them to proceed ended up with their team collaborating with us on numerous research, they were able to help us make crucial decisions, we wrote out the user story and then went on to design the prototype wireframes for the different set of users, we also had a webpage built to be able to conduct our market product fit, we now have a proposal to build the platform as the next stage
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had 2 people that we directly interacted with through the life of the project, pretty sure there were others working in the background but it was easy to communicate with minimum contact who have an overall knowledge of what we were trying to achieve and they communicated with their team, one project manager and a business analyst. The project manager was the key person.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are pleased with the deliverables from Intelivita team, the UX/UI represent the platform we are trying to build which they will be developing for us in the new year as soon as we raise enough fund to start the next phase, we have tested with several potential users and have had positive feedbacks. They have been able to capture the vision and guided us with their many years of experience and expertise in the field.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They have a very flexible approach to work which worked really well for us as a start up, the project manager was super effective and communicated really well with us at every stage of the development, they carried us along and made sure we were both on the same page, we had a few zoom calls when necessary otherwise we used Basecamp as our main platform for communication it was super easy to communicate with the entire team and collaborate, they worked really well with time and when deadlines weren’t going to be met we had prior communications.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are very professional and friendly group of people, they have built a team of knowledgeable experts, their input from the very first conversation blew me away, they thick all the right boxes for us and we just knew we found the right people to work with, they were able to guide us through the process as a startup we had so much to learn and they had the patient to help us throughout, they support their suggestions with research evidence, with all time invested in designing the user story the UX/UI design took little time and turned out perfect.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We took a long time to complete the initial stages of user story and research before the main design which got me worried at some point but once we got to the design phase it was completed in no time, that information should be clearly communicated as I now understand the process.

Custom App Dev for IT Solution Provider
"They took full responsibility for our project and proactively met our expectations."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and sole director of CRAFTPEER LTD, an IT solution provider.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
I needed their team to build an application that served as a marketplace for different sellers and buyers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intelivita initially helped me build templates for our app’s buyer-seller journey before kickstarting the development process. Their team implemented multiple features that allowed users to display product information, accept and reject orders, track deliveries, and relay product concerns. Additionally, they deployed backend solutions that enabled our staff to input buyer and seller credentials to update their profiles.
What is the team composition?
I mainly worked with their project manager and lead developer.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
I found their team online while searching for qualified developers to onboard for this project. Intelivita sent me an impressive project proposal, which convinced me that they were the right team to hire for my development needs.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent £7,500 (approximately $10,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from May–October 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I couldn’t share any quantitative metrics because the app just went live and wasn’t deployed into any App Store yet. From our perspective, Intelivita delivered our technical needs by producing a specialized B2B app with seamless functionalities. We didn’t find the need to conduct multiple app testings — the product worked like how we envisioned it from the beginning.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly communicated via Slack and phone calls. Intelivita was a supportive team that listened to our specific needs, met our time frames, and offered post-production services without additional costs.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Intelivita proposed concrete solutions from the very beginning. They took full responsibility for our project and proactively met our expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The dates indicated in their proposal were somehow far-fetched — it took us longer to complete the product.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go the extra mile by designing your wireframes or templates.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager of a construction company. We supply and install garden buildings, log cabins, garden offices, garden rooms, sheds, and some houses.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We needed to develop an internal app that managed communication between the office staff and our installation team. This would help coordinate jobs and information, as well as manage who is on what job and for how long.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intelivita has done both development and design. We sent over our logo and color scheme, and they designed the whole layout. All I provided was an Excel spreadsheet of what we needed to include in each function, and they went from there. The app is for iOS and Android.
What is the team composition?
Initially, our main point of contact was Oliver (Managing Director), but Deval (Co-Founder) has been managing the build.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
I found a number of companies online and spoke to Oliver. He was really helpful. We chatted through some ideas, and then they set over a presentation of what would be included; it was a detailed proposal. Then, we had a zoom call with my two directors and Oliver, where he outlined everything.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent less than $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We committed to Intelivita in February 2021, and they delivered the app in June 2021. We originally completed the app in the middle of May, but then I wanted to add a few extra elements so we worked into June.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m waiting on final confirmation from Apple for the app to be published.
Intelivita was very helpful in that we haven’t had to spoon-feed them. We told them what we wanted the end goal to be functionality-wise, and they created exactly that. They were good at giving advice as well, as we don’t understand technical jargon.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
We had calls with them pretty much every week, starting in April. Deval kept us up to date and stuck to timelines. We used Basecamp, and everything was on there: calls, schedules, shared documents, general chat, etc.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Intelivita’s customer management stands out. They also have fair prices. Additionally, they communicated well and did so in a manner that we could understand. This is the largest issue I‘ve had with other companies; they don’t know how to communicate with someone who isn’t technical.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be very clear about what you want, and don’t worry too much about the design side of things. Be clear on the functionality, as well, and they’ll handle the rest. We did, and it’s worked out very well for us.

the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of QualifyFAST. Our organization trains people to help them pass their pharmacist exams by providing practice questions and other resources.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We needed to build a website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intelivita built the entire website — frontend and backend. Their team developed the backend to enable us to quickly add and delete questions, among other activities. They built the system based on our specific preferences for customer experience and functionalities.
For example, the website offers users a free trial of 20 questions. They can then subscribe for access to thousands of practice problems to prepare for their pharmacist exam. Through the website, users can also interact with a team of pharmacists to receive help on specific problems.
What is the team composition?
During the project, I’ve interacted with at least 5–6 people from Intelivita.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
I found them on Clutch and contacted them based on their reviews.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $50,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in November 2020, and the partnership’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Intelivita exceeded my expectations — the website works perfectly. It’s responsive and doesn’t glitch. Their team implemented the backend exactly as we requested. When we requested changes during development, they quickly made them. They’ve done a brilliant job.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via Basecamp, text messages, and phone and video calls. They created professional designs with impressive speed. They’re flexible and stay within set timelines, delivering what’s promised. Their team is professional, knowledgeable, and capable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Intelivita understood my needs and realized them in a practical way. Unlike other vendors I’ve engaged, they delivered above and beyond what was promised. Their team does exactly what we request without raising the price even if we didn’t initially discuss it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t ways for them to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re professional, flexible, and trustworthy. Intelivita will deliver what you ask from them.

Android Game App Dev for TV Production Company
“We were very happy with the communication and the end product.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m an assistant producer at a television production company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We’re making a television program, and we needed to create a very simple mobile game that we could launch on one of the app platforms. We didn’t know how to go about that.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We contacted Intelivita and explained roughly what we wanted the game to do. Oliver (Co-Founder, Intelivita), who we dealt with there, told us that we needed to provide some video files, and then they could use those to make the game.
Once we provided the video clips, they helped with the whole process of building the mobile game for Android. They then helped us to launch the game; they talked us through what we needed to do, such as creating a developer account that they also had access to.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact was Oliver.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
I think it was just a case of Googling mobile game developers and looking at some online reviews and testimonials. We did contact a few app developers, and Oliver was just extremely helpful. Because it was such a simple game, we had quite a low budget, and Oliver was able to help do something within that budget. We checked out his credentials, and they also fit with what we were looking for.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began talking to Oliver in October 2019, and we just completed the work in February 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our whole team is really happy with the app; it’s exactly what we wanted. Oliver stuck to the brief and was excellent at communicating all the way along.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
They did really well. We communicated via email and phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Oliver’s communication skills made Intelivita stand out. He was excellent at getting back to us. As I said, we had a limited budget; when we went to him with our brief, he came back to us with some ideas about how they could make it work within our budget. He was willing to invest quite a lot of time in the early stages, which is what we needed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so. It was quite a unique and simple project, so everything went as planned.
Any advice for potential customers?
I would definitely recommend them. We were very happy with the communication and the end product.

Mobile App Dev for Restaurant Management System
"Intelivita took our idea and went above and beyond."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder and COO of a software development house that manages an interactive restaurant management system.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We wanted to develop a fully-integrated restaurant management system (RMS) that bridges the gap between the restaurant side and the diner side. We specifically wanted to design an app for the diner side of the platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intelivita built the diner app for us. It’s built dor iOS using Swift and Android using JavaScript. We didn’t provide wireframes, but we had a clear idea of what we wanted the app to do.
Diners can search restaurants by cuisine, location; make reservations; note any allergens; build a profile, and collect points. It’s similar to other booking apps, but the difference in our app is that we don’t charge for this.
What is the team composition?
My principal point of contact is Oliver (Director, Intelivita).
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
I found vendors by researching on the Internet and, based on reviews, whittled down my list. I chose Intelivita because, as a young company, they were a fit in many ways. Their demonstrated technical expertise and entrepreneurial attitude fit ours in terms of our workflow and culture.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about £50,000 (approximately $64,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in March 2019 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We do a lot of internal testing every time a feature is built. That means testing it with our team and with our consumers. Everyone absolutely loves it. We don’t get any negative feedback. Also, from their work on the app's look and feel as a unique product under our RMS, we get told it looks like a million-dollar brand.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
They use Basecamp as our central hub of communications, but I personally don’t like it as much. I insist on having a weekly call with Oliver because that’s my style. They’re very responsive and proactive, and their project management has been very strong.
What did you find most impressive about them?
In interpreting what we were hoping to achieve, Intelivita took our idea and went above and beyond. I was impressed with that. They really saw what we were trying to achieve, beyond the technical specs and documentation. They've made the brand and user experience very fluid and have the confidence to challenge us if they think something could be done better. Intelivita has absolutely been one of the best companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of work with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d ask that they not use Basecamp. It’s a chaotic tool, and I only work with it because that’s what they use.
Any advice for potential customers?
Be transparent about what you’re trying to achieve. Don’t just tell them about the specific product; let them see who you are as a business and what your long-term goals. We did that, and we got a product that’s built for both the present and the future.

Mobile App Dev for Workplace Training Startup
"This project went very smoothly. I couldn’t ask for more."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a training and educational platform. We help workplace-to-workplace instruction.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We wanted to develop an app that would trigger training videos at the exact time that staff members needed access to them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Intelivita built an application that lets companies train employees more dynamically. An employee would walk up to a physical point, find a sticker that they hold their phone over, and receive training in the form of a video that automatically plays right there. That way, employees get the right information at the right time. Intelivita built it for iOS and Android devices.
What is the team composition?
We worked with quite a few people, but the main point of contact was Harit (Technical Project Manager, Intelivita).
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
We found them on Google and went with them because they had the experience in the area we needed, along with positive reviews and a great reputation.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about £10,000 so far (approximately $13,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project ran from October 2019 until January 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The quality of the app is great.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed really well. We kept in touch through Basecamp and phone calls. If I ever sent them a message, they replied very quickly and vice versa. They did a good job of meeting deadlines as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I don’t know other service providers because I’m new to this business, but this project went very smoothly. I couldn’t ask for more. Whenever we came up with something that we needed Intelivita to do, they’d always take time to think about it and come back with a solution.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nope.
Any advice for potential customers?
Intelivita replies very quickly to messages, so you should reply quickly as well. Otherwise, you’ll just slow the process down.

App Design & Development for Sporting App
"They have the ability to understand what we need and effectively document it through wireframes."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of POWPOW, a sporting app. Its mission is to provide its users the world of sports in their hands. The premise is to aggregate all your sports-related interests into one app.
It connects users with like-minded individuals who enjoy the same sporting activities. Users can create events, share content, and consume content that's specific to sporting interests. We have four sporting categories: land, sky, water, and parasports. In those four categories, we have 140 sports.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We needed help with app design and development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided them with ideas and some basic branding and functionality. They produced wireframes, and we requested the color orange and dark gray. They came up with a suitable color scheme pallet. At that point, their team showed the user journey of creating profiles, making a booking, and connecting to other people.
From that, they were able to extract more information from us to develop use cases. They took our idea and delivered the end products. The app is on iOS at the moment. The plan is to do an Android version this year. We also want to develop and iterate both apps as we go along. There are several cool features in the backlog that we want to work through, including wearables.
What is the team composition?
There’s a relationship manager, a solution architect, a scrum master, and a number of developers.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
We approached a number of digital design agencies, including Intelivita. They were a recommendation to our founder by someone in his network.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about £55,000 (approximately $76,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We launched in December 2019 with a fully functioning app. The build was released for testing, and it became very collaborative. We felt like we weren’t just a customer but rather a true team. They listened to the things we wanted and made changes as needed.
The feedback from users has been very good. They liked that they can create a booking, can connect with nearby, likeminded individuals, and recieve content specific to them.
We always wanted to have an intuitive app with a few surprise features. We built functionality that allows for emails to those outside of the app to be sent out on time. Those users can respond, which appears in real-time on the app for the event organizers.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is very good. We haven’t had any major problems, able to work through any minor misunderstandings very quickly. Anything we want to do moving forward can be easily scoped out with them. We have a very good relationship with them. We use Basecamp, Trello, and TestFlight.
We worked in an agile methodology with two-week releases and regular phone calls and updates. We didn’t have that much interaction with the developers, but we had constant interaction with the scrum master. We spoke to the solutions architect about how the app would work moving forward and how we could extract analytics.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have the ability to understand what we need and effectively document it through wireframes. They also understand the bigger picture in terms of client goals. They can offer advice as well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing that needs to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Don’t hold back on what you want your business to be like. If you have a passion for what you want to do, you need to show and share that. If Intelivita understands how important it is to a potential client, they'll become enthusiastic. They give a personal touch and understand that their reputation is one the line as well.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and managing director of an education consultancy company. We have a range of services that we mainly offer to parents of students both in the United Kingdom and overseas. Our goal is to make education-related decisions easier, which can include choosing the right school, university preparations, or mentoring children who’re struggling in school.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We wanted to grow our presence in the online space to find people who’re interested in our services. Our team also needed a solution that would track the date of birth in connection with a child’s year in school. We were always counting on our fingers to do that, so we were looking for an app that could function as a simple solution to both needs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed iOS and Android apps from scratch. We provided only our logo and the name for the app. Apart from that, we had a spreadsheet that contained the age calculation and content needed to create the age functionality. They completely determined and designed the look and feel of each page, the UX, and the general functionality of the app. The team also added a web widget to our website that offers a similar solution for desktop users. That sits on our WordPress site.
The app has launched in September 2019 and is being used by parents, schools, and admissions boards in their efforts to make education-related choices. The solution was really designed for parents to help their children through the British education system, though. It provides individualized results for children.
What is the team composition?
We have contact with one person on their team. I was communicating with them on a regular basis, and I’m sure they had a team working behind them.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
We selected Intelivita from 3–4 potential vendors. I noticed that they’re based reasonably close to us, which was important. We also found that they were able to provide a clear delivery timeframe. Our team was impressed with that clarity. They had a deliberate plan, which made it easy for us to understand what we were agreeing to. That’s why we hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about £4,000 (approximately $5,100 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from August–September 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Those who’ve given feedback indicated that the app is a clear, simple solution to the problem. Several people have given us their input on the solution. Schools and institutions have taken a real interest in it, offering suggestions for how we might develop in the future to make ourselves available to education systems around the world. For example, students could transfer from a British school to a school in the United States. Overall, we’ve been received positively. The web widget, especially, is used by many.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
Our project manager was clear in his communication and prompt in calling us back. The initial plan he developed was so close to what we were looking for. We felt totally comfortable in his understanding of our goals in the education space. Our team found him a real pleasure to work with and a refreshing change from other past partnerships. They really listened to our needs and took them to heart in the development.
For communication, we used Basecamp and the occasional Skype call. We accomplished everything mostly via Skype messaging and sharing information and images through the project management software.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a strong ability to listen to our needs and deliver in a very efficient timescale. We know they have the expertise it takes to effectively and clearly create a solution that aligns with our goals. Our team ended up being able to deliver what we were aiming to provide our customers.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Some development partners struggle to develop a solution with your needs in mind. They were able to do that, which was a refreshing change. Their team works well with clients because they’re efficient, friendly, and supportive. They’ve found a really good balance, so I can’t say anything negative.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re very focused on project goals. Make sure you have a clear brief written that details what you want to achieve. That’ll ensure that the project is delivered exactly as you have in mind. There’s not a huge amount of dialog during the build, so if people are fuzzy on their goals, they might not end up with what they want. It’s important to have clearly defined project plans.

Android App Dev for Industrial Tools Retailer
"Their team grasped our intentions with the app easily."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the e-commerce manager at ITS. We’re a retailer of power tools and trade-related equipment. We sell around 20,000 tools that tradesmen use. We’re a B2C small company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Intelivita?
We had someone who created a basic iOS app for us internally. The platform had various links that send users to different parts of our website. The functionality was basic. We wanted an Android version of the app, but our in-house developer didn’t have the necessary experience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We tasked Intelivita to develop the same exact iOS app on an Android platform for our customers. I integrated the platform with our back office and built a SQL table for it, meaning the platform was built natively. Their team created a complex notification system where the bottom half of the app was geared around content that we were going to produce and different categories of content. Within the app, they developed an actual notification process where different categories have their own notification platform. For example, if we had a new article in buying guides, users would see a red circle with a number one but receive a separate notification if there was a new video, product, or deal of the day.
What is the team composition?
I worked with two people. I engaged with a developer and an account manager who was my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Intelivita?
We found them through PeoplePerHour where I posted the job. Intelivita had the best, most accurate response and understood the project’s goals before any other vendor. They were also priced fairly.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $3,200 on the product.
What is the status of this engagement?
We collaborated between January–March 2019 on the app.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Generally, we were pleased. I was happy with the functionality of the app. It took effort for them to understand our internal limitations. They had to deal with our third-party software developers and IT team, meaning it required effort to get everyone on the same page. But, I was very happy with the final results.
How did Intelivita perform from a project management standpoint?
Intelivita performed well. To be honest, they chased me far more than I chased them. Predominately, we communicated via PeoplePerHour because that’s what they preferred. Towards the backend of the project, we moved to Skype as we wanted a more instantaneous review response. We scheduled meetings as needed.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We found their speed of work and understanding of what we were trying to achieve to be impressive. Their team grasped our intentions with the app easily. I’ve dealt with programmers before when— after having one conversation with them—they went off to build a product that’s completely different than expected. Intelivita made sure they understood what we were trying to achieve 100% before building the product.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Intelivita could try to understand each individual companies’ capabilities internally. They assumed we had more access and knowledge than we actually did, which resulted in back and forth with our IT company before we were on the same page and knew what we could achieve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be primed and ready with a specific idea of all the functionalities—no matter how small—and give as detailed a breakdown as you can so they know exactly what you’re after and can follow that with absolute clarity as opposed to getting mixed messages.
The client already looked forward to launching Intelivita's designs. Feedback was highly positive. The vendor was described as effective and communicative, thanks to their insistence to keep everyone on the same page throughout the partnership. Overall, they were easy to work with.
