We held online meetings every two weeks to discuss our goals and the development process. The team was receptive to my feedback and incorporated it into the final product. We started with the design system and covered typography, colors, and components. The team provided plenty of options and examples for me to choose from. 

After the testing phase (in which I also participated), we launched the website, which was built using various technologies, including Typescript, Node.js, React, Gatsby, MongoDB, and Vercel.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• Thanks to Inspiro's work, my business has become more valuable and sustainable. The appointment scheduling system has received positive feedback from my clients and has helped increase my revenue and clientele over the years, with over 3000 appointments booked. Although there were some initial errors, Inspiro's team quickly resolved them, resulting in a fast and efficient system.

I was involved in the development process from an early stage. Although they could have done more internal QA testing, they eventually delivered the final website. If you ask me, I would have invested more in the development of the scheduling system earlier on.

In 2019, Inspiro developed our first website, which was a major milestone in our rebranding project. The design, including the colors and styles, served as the basis not only for the website but also for our future offline marketing materials.

In 2021, when we launched the legal department, Inspiro developed our second website and refreshed the one created in 2019. For multiple sites, we used a tech stack that initially included Gatsby and Bootstrap, and later moved to Next.js and Tailwind CSS with custom design.

• We received tremendously positive feedback from our clients and suppliers.
• The number of foreign clients reaching out to us is continuously increasing, and our financial investment has been returned multiple times.

Their well-organized attitude kept me on track and helped me understand the project's status and everyone's responsibilities continuously. In addition, they kept the agreed timeframe. We communicated using instant messaging apps, email, and phone.

It quickly became apparent that we shared similar mindsets in business, which was a decisive factor for me. Additionally, we were able to agree on compelling pricing and I felt that I would not get better quality for the same investment. The most impressive factors were the fresh ideas that resulted in a fascinating deliverable, the well-organized project management, and the continuous follow-up that helped all team members to keep updated with their tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.

I work for the Hungarian Olympic Committee as an International Relations Officer. I was the Product Owner on this project.

In the year of 2021, we began developing our athletes' database, which will not only take an enormous administration task off from our colleagues’ shoulder, but will also serve the fans, journalists and Olympic family. We wanted to renew the official website of the Olympic Committee. We had several meetings before we made an agreement with Inspiro, and they provided a detailed software requirements specification. After that, they began to design and develop the applications and the system.

Previously we already worked together and we were satisfied with the company, so we wanted to continue the partnership.

At the beginning of the project we set up a roadmap together with monthly milestones (including key deliverable features). At first they were designing and developing the admin system, and in the second phase they delivered the athletes' database and the new Olympic Committee website. Technologies used were mainly Javascript/Typescript: Node.js, React, MongoDB, AWS.

The team consisted of a Solution Architect, four Developers, a DevOps Engineer, a Project Manager and a UX/UI Designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The company has developed and delivered everything related to the Website, Athletes’ Database, CMS and Data Platform based on an agreement. The code and all the data have been shared with us.

Based on the agreement, they did a product demo every month. For project management we used Jira. The communication tool was Microsoft Teams.

The communication was very good, I could reach them any time of the day via Teams or phone calls. We appreciated that they adapted the communication based on our needs.

They were cooperative, however sometimes some bugs were only fixed after several requests. It could happened as we used different platforms for the communication and maybe it was not effective.

Our company is a recruitment agency. We find the best jobs for our candidates on a personalized basis. We do this through an innovative questionnaire and a matching system. To make this happen, we asked Inspiro to help us. My position is Managing Director.

Our goal was to build a system that could handle both the data and needs of incoming applicants and the data of available jobs. Knowing this information, the pairing system can highlight the best matching options. This required building a website and a funnel system. Our final goal is to create an automatized information trading marketplace, a platform, which is a substitute for the chaotic excel system and manual task arrangement. Firstly, Inspiro thoughtfully created an admin system from which the transformation could begin. Then it became a CRM and the final step was the platform.

Inspiro was recommended to us by a former client of theirs and a dear friend of ours. We really wanted a team in which we can properly work together. A team that loves to solve problems and create innovative projects. We are creative entrepreneurs with high energy. Inspiro gave us several options for implementation.

Creating a website which is part of the first step of our hiring funnel. Clear, creative, and user-friendly structure. We had regular meetings and key process steps. Wireframe, design system, website iteration. We had consistent communication with Inspiro, and a lot of changes were requested by us in the process, which entailed continuous redesigns and discussions.

We reached 170 applicants in 4 months, which exceeded our expectations. Great SEO optimization and a high-converting website.

Agile methodology. Continuous communication, 1-2 week sprints in delivering features. JIRA, SLACK, all deadlines were met. Timelines were adapted to continuous changes.

They could always find the best possible solution to a problem. We always had multiple choices to choose from. They give honest and valuable feedback regarding any of our ideas or concepts, but they don’t interfere. They are striving to achieve what we envisioned.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think Inspiro’s team has the most valuable skills which cover quite a lot of ground, nevertheless, there is always room for improvement, and more creative thinking and they acknowledge that. Every team member is consistently evolving and improving. I wouldn’t want anything done differently.

They are slow and expensive. Their professional knowledge was inadequate in all areas. A junior staff worked mainly on the project, who had to be told everything over and over again, and the fixes were always re-invoiced. Communication was often unclear and slow, they did not understand what we asked for, and if they did, their work always needed to be corrected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most unique thing about them was their incompetence.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Inspiro Studio could have done differently?

Almost every task that was assigned had to be corrected; they do not understand the essence of the framework.

The vendor responded on April 27, 2023.

The owners contacted us for help as Daniel had left them and joined another company without hiring someone, leaving the project without a technical owner. We started documenting the project, but Daniel had all the accesses and ownerships. The codebase was messy and unmaintainable, which slowed the progress. Weeks later, we discovered that Daniel was still coding on his own, and we attempted to collaborate with him. Turned out, we were the fourth team he was unable to cooperate with. We had cultural differences. We refused to work on weekends and found his micromanagement to be unproductive and frustrating, which sparked frustration. Daniel even said, "If we pay you, shut up, and do your job." Shortly after, we ended our work on the project.

This is the context and background story for the negative review. Daniel was not our customer, and we don't work with toxic people.
