An environment for programming educational robots
CHALLENGE
All manufacturers of educational robots popular on the market offer their own environments for programming robots, however, these environments are dedicated to a given type and version of the hardware platform and do not offer the unification of the language and programming environment even within products of one product line.
The challenge of the project was to create a universal graphic, intuitive programming environment, which is an important element in popularizing the learning of programming with the use of robots, significantly facilitating or even enabling an effective teaching process in school conditions.
SOLUTION
In cooperation with RoboApp, we have developed a Universal graphic environment for programming educational robots, providing a user-friendly drag-and-drop interface and a programming language that allows you to program robots built on different hardware platforms without knowing complex syntax and semantics. By definition, all program elements (e.g. loops, conditional instructions) and robot objects (sensors, actuators) are available in the form of a graphic representation. The set of available controls depends on the specific hardware platform. The simplicity of the language and the environment enables the effective programming of robots without knowing the technical intricacies of a given robotic platform and without the need to understand advanced concepts related to the specifics of real-time control. The environment enables the programming of educational robots from the most popular hardware platforms, including LEGO (WeDo and EV3) and robots from the mBot series.

Thanks to cooperation with Innokrea, RoboApp has created a modern educational product intended for implementation in schools and educational institutions around the world.

Mobile application for managing service requests
CHALLENGE
The Sescom company has always strived for maximum comfort and satisfaction of its customers. For this reason, in 2018, a decision was made to allow customers to report and manage defects through not only the online platform, but also using the application on phones.
SOLUTION
In 2018, our team of developers prepared a mobile application for Sescom, available on devices with Android and iOS systems. Thanks to this, a tool for the quick submission of reports was obtained, among others technical faults and managing their efficient implementation.
BUSINESS EFFECT
The application streamlined the process of communication and submitting notifications. Sescom appreciated our product for the fact that at the time of implementation it distinguished itself by adjusting the functionality to the needs and requirements of the company.

Biometric access control system
CHALLENGE
Microsystem Company turned to INNOKREA with a proposal to prepare and implement software supporting the existing access control systems. Microsystem had previously developed algorithms that required modification and implementation in the final solution.
SOLUTION
As part of the cooperation, in the first step, the functional specification and architecture for the new system were developed. After agreeing on this scope of work, the preparation of graphic designs of the application screens began. The next step in the cooperation was the commencement of programming work.
It was agreed that the project would be implemented in the so-called agile methodology. Key people from the project team met regularly and, inter alia, agreed the scope of work for the next iteration of the project (the so-called sprint) and discussed the current challenges. Additional dedicated meetings also discussed improvements to the way of internal cooperation between Microsystem and Innokrea.
BUSINESS EFFECT
The created server application and two client applications in C ++ / C # technologies, thanks to the involvement of the entire team and the adopted work methodology, met all customer expectations.
The implementation at the end customer allowed for the launch of an access control system based on biometric analysis of the faces of bank employees.

Intelligent signature's demonstrator
CHALLENGE
Digital Signature is a technology company that develops biometric solutions. One of them is a biometric pen which, using advanced electronics, collects various characteristics that allow for the unambiguous identification of the user's signature. Digital Signature was looking for a business partner who would support the company in implementing the prototype of the indicated device.
SOLUTION
Innokrea analyzed the source code of the prototype solution and proposed to write a demonstration solution that allows signing the contract in electronic form using a tablet and the biometric pen in question.
As part of the project, many tests of various devices were carried out, a dedicated mobile application in JAVA technology was written and many additional engineering problems resulting from the interface between hardware and software were solved.
BUSINESS EFFECT
The prepared prototype allowed the Digital Signature company to present the prototype of the biometric pen in a real business application, meeting the expectations of the recipients of the technology.

Improving sale of outstanding goods in stock
CHALLENGE
In wholesale, products from the end of the series and withdrawn from the manufacturer's offer are a frequent challenge. Such goods, which are in storage in warehouses, are fully functional and valuable. However, it generates additional storage or disposal costs in the company.
SOLUTION
In response to the business needs of FEMAX Company, we have implemented a dedicated auction platform KupTam - in this way, a new sales channel has been established for business customers, through which it is possible to effectively sell unnecessary products that cannot be sold using other methods.
BUSINESS EFFECT
In this way, FEMAX has achieved a significant reduction in the costs of storage and disposal of goods remaining in warehouses, as well as the satisfaction of customers who have gained the opportunity to purchase full-value products on preferential terms.
Both FEMAX and its customers appreciate KupTam as a solution distinguished by practicality and refined functionality, enabling, among others, intuitive and easy-to-use shopping and easy listing of items for sale.

E-commerce platform for local communities
CHALLENGE
The main activity of Scheidt & Bachmann is focused on the development and implementation of technological solutions for transport services (including ticket machines, toll collection systems and many others). In its development strategy, the company decided to enter the e-commerce market.
SOLUTION
INNOKREA has been developing its own auction system KUPTAM.PL (web and mobile application) for many years. Based on these experiences, as part of co-operation with Scheidt & Bachmann, a dedicated e-commerce platform was implemented on the Swiss market: SMARTDORF.CH
The platform allows purchases and sales to be made between local stores and residents of a given commune in Switzerland.
BUSINESS EFFECT
The Scheidt & Bachmann concern has expanded its product’s offer and is able to reach a larger group of end customers. As part of the cooperation with INNOKREA, there was no need to invest huge funds to build an e-commerce solution from scratch - a significant part of the solution was prepared in advance.

FIXFM created a platform that redefines the implementation of emergency interventions and repairing faults. They automated interactions between clients and professionals so that each party can focus on their most important tasks and plans. FIXFM faced a challenge of changing their technology partner.

FIXFM was looking for a partner who would provide appropriate technical competences for further development and maintenance of the application. We were looking for experience in, among others, Python and React technologies. In cooperation with INNOKREA, a transition plan was built for our comprehensive support.

INNOKREA was responsible for the whole technical part of the project. They were co-operating with our project manager. They used React and Python/Django technologies for the project. The main idea of the Cieplo.it portal is that a heating company receives access to a number of industry functions and specialist applications via a web browser. The platform generally consists of: o data analysis tools, o a number of applications dedicated to solving specific problems of the company, e.g. CRM system, field team management system, auction system, gamification application, investment project management tool, GIS, and others.
INNOKREA played the role of a solutions integrator in the project. They were responsible for the pilot implementation of the field brigade management system, under which: o an application environment installed in the Internet cloud was prepared, o user training was conducted, o locations of heat nodes were imported to the system, o the work of brigades was simulated.

The greatest advantage of the solution is the extraordinary usability (adjusted on the basis of many years of experience in sales management) and its availability from Internet browser for any mobile devices and desktops / laptops. In terms of planned activities - directly from the card, we can plan, for example, another phone call or a meeting. In the sales process it is possible to register in the system sales opportunities (leads), i.e. commercial activities related to a specific customer.
The "Contract records" tab presents the scope of information that can be stored in the system in the area of concluded agreements with clients (and annexes).

We needed a team to support our custom development needs across the several projects we were operating.
What was the scope of their involvement?
INNOKREA aids our custom development pipelines when we're dealing with internal staffing issues and other technical challenges. Over the course of our three-year engagement, they've built stand-alone solutions and additional custom features for our existing products. One of their major deliverables is an online Swiss marketplace, wherein they've conducted API integration to incorporate back-office functionalities into a pre-built digital shop.

One of our partners was dealing with staffing issues and couldn't support us anymore, so they recommended INNOKREA's team. Upon interviewing their owner, we were easily convinced that they were the right fit for us.

We started working together three years ago and we continue to collaborate together.

Our time-to-market for customized solutions has evidently improved upon entrusting our efforts to INNOKREA's team. They're highly capable of delivering flexible development solutions that meet our market needs, and that's our main success metric for their work. Apart from their self-starter approach, INNOKREA also delivers what they promise and meets our budget every time.
How did INNOKREA perform from a project management standpoint?
We rely on Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint for project management. They're a very service- and timeline-oriented team that integrates seamlessly into our processes and communicates transparently with our team to deliver the robust and high-level solutions we need.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We're most impressed with INNOKREA's flexibility and extensive skill set — it's hard to find another provider with varied development skills. The cherry on top is their capacity to scale up or down depending on our requirements.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There's nothing I can point out at this point.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president and CEO of Roboapp. I’m responsible for the strategy and the technology in the company. Our company focuses on high-tech solutions for education. We provide solutions for teaching children math, physics, and technology using state-of-the-art education solutions like robotics and programming.
What challenge were you trying to address with INNOKREA?
The goal was to create a universal programming language that would enable children to program different types of robots based on popular robotics platforms like Mindstorms or OtherBots, for example. The problem was that there were no new solutions on the market that address such functionality, so we wanted to develop a solution that could cover different types of robotic platforms for children.
What was the scope of their involvement?
INNOKREA delivered a programing language and a frontend platform for the tool we’re developing to teach children robot programming. It is a web app that has a few limitations on some operating systems, in which users have to install software to control robots.
To start, we gave them hardware and some documentation and they did some research as well. We were involved in the design and high-level management but they were responsible for testing, development, and all other tasks.
What is the team composition?
During the meetings, I usually met with 3–5 people, but there could be more people involved in the process. They provide people to work on the front- and backend development and operating systems. There are also people responsible for specific technologies and a project manager. There is also a higher-level teammate who attends our meetings.
How did you come to work with INNOKREA?
I had contacted INNOKREA before and I believed they were professional enough to deliver a good solution for us. We’re also from the same part of Poland, so we personally know some of their teammates.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019 and our collaboration is ongoing — they’re still providing support.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m generally happy with their work. From a software development perspective, their work has been a success. Though I can’t say everything has had the best quality, they’ve generally delivered at a good level. In the beginning, we had some minor problems because the project was a challenge for them. However, after some small adjustments, we have been totally happy with their efforts.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we have a dramatically reduced number of lessons imparted with our platform. During the development, lots of problems happened but the platform is fully functional and all issues were removed. It’s all working properly right now and we haven’t experienced any major problems.
How did INNOKREA perform from a project management standpoint?
Everything has been more or less on time. We had experienced some issues with the hardware but they stayed on schedule, as agreed.
We had to modify our schedule during development but it wasn’t their fault — it was due to some discrepancies in our documentation and coding hardware. We were going deep with the integration of hardware platforms and sometimes the documentation wasn’t detailed enough.
Overall, I have been quite happy with the project being on track. Our company uses Jira internally but with INNOKREA we communicate through emails and online meetings, with a few calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have been very reliable. Even when we’ve had issues, they’ve always been able to solve them and help us at any time. Even when we have problems that are our own fault, they help us out. On one occasion, we forgot about some functionality and realized very late that it was necessary and wasn’t in our agreement. INNOKREA was very helpful, included it in their work, and prepared it really fast — I was impressed by their willingness.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I was happy with their service and, taking everything into account, I would work with them again. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a business success for us but that was mostly because of COVID-19 and other factors.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
It is easy to work with them. They really want to help and provide a high level of service. It could be necessary to precisely deliver all the specifications as soon as possible so they understand the problem. They have sometimes lost some details on our project, but it has been our fault due to the specifications not being detailed enough.
Thanks to INNOKREA, the client has optimized the app's maintenance and development costs. They've also found a stable partner for their technological projects. Moreover, INNOKREA's flexible and competent developers are exceptionally friendly, easy to communicate with, and well-versed in technology.
