Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and director of a construction company that specializes in drainlaying. We’re located in New Zealand.

What challenge were you trying to address with Influx Studios?

I wanted to get a more professional look for the business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It was more of an overall branding project. We were trying to get a cleaner website. We first started with a call.

Jamie (Director) called me, and we had a few discussions about where we wanted to be heading, what sort of designs we wanted, and how we wanted the site to work for users.

When our previous vendor, there were always a lot of emails back and forth with questions that they didn’t need answers for. Once we had a run-through with Influx Studios, they knew what needed to be done and took it from there.

They also redid our business cards because they were outdated and hadn’t been done to the highest of degree. During the process of the business cards, I got three different types of designs. Jamie just went from there once I had given him the details.

What is the team composition?

I predominantly worked with Jamie.  

How did you come to work with Influx Studios?

I’m from the UK, but live out in New Zealand. Influx Studios is based in the UK. It was word of mouth.

I found them through a friend. Influx Studios handled their project and said that they were very professional, had great knowledge in the design and rebranding business, and that they were a super easy company to work with.

The price and value were good. It was a good recommendation, so I sent them an email, and we went from there. We had a few Skype meetings, and it took off.

How much have you invested with them?

It was less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on this project from January–May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I couldn’t be any happier, and I’ve had so many compliments. In the construction industry, there are a lot of companies that are run by older people, and I think their modern knowledge puts me leaps above my competitors.

Influx Studios was super easy to work with, and it took a lot of the stress off me. They’ve been super helpful. It was always easy to get in contact with Jamie. I had some shirts made up, and Jamie messaged me back within that day with a PDF.

I’m over the moon with how it all turned out, the value of it, and what it’s done for my company.

How did Influx Studios perform from a project management standpoint?

Influx Studios was responsive. We were working with a bit of a time difference, but I would send a message off during the day here, and by the time I was back in the office, all my questions were answered.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I would say that their communication and the end product. It took the stress off me. I was thinking of doing it for a while, and I thought it was going to be daunting to do. But I think I got more than paid for out of the service and how simple it was made for me was very good.

They provided a professional service, and it was easy to get in contact with Jamie. He suggested things that I hadn’t even thought about.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, it was a total breeze working with them. For what I wanted, it was perfect. There isn’t one bad thing I can say about them from my experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

To be fair, they did all the work for me.

We spoke about my logo and where it can go from there, and they knocked out three different designs from what we talked about. They’re that professional and have that specific knowledge, so there wasn’t anything that I could bring to the table aside from what I wanted to be done.
