BI Implementation for Logistics Industry
The Client needed to visualize all the data from its logistics software in real-time.
To overcome this challenge, Indicium created a BI using Metabase. Also, we developed crawlers and implemented a cloud database (DW and Data Lake) with real-time data updates.
After the BI deployment, the Client was able to make real-time decisions in terms of sales, costs, productivity, and effectiveness based on their data.

Attribution Modeling for a Real Estate Company
The Client wanted to have deeper insights on its return on investment per marketing channels and campaigns.
As a result, Indicium was challenged to create an attribution model to specify the company's media return on investment.
To achieve that, we created an automated ETL across all marketing channels, CRM, and ERP systems. Then, our team organized a new cloud database (DW) and deployed personalized dashboards.

Complete Overview of Brazilian Companies for a Consulting Group
The Client needed a complete overview of all Brazilian Companies to perform advanced analytics and make informed decisions.
Indicium was challenged to gather public information, available at multiple governmental sources, on 40 million Brazilian companies.
To tackle that, we implemented and automated an ETL structure on all government websites and stored this information on a customized cloud database. Lastly, we transformed this huge dataset into real-time visualizations by creating a personalized dashboard.
Our solution enabled the Client to use advanced market intelligence tools to achieve business outcomes.

Creating a Sales Forecasting Model for a Clothing Industry
The Client reached us with the following doubt: how can we forecast our next clothing collection in advance?
Indicium was challenged to create a customized sales forecasting model based on historical and present data. Our personalized application was built with three major features:

Building a Customized Dashboard for Power Generating Company
The Company wanted to use data-based prospecting and needed a solution to target which companies and/or economic groups were engaging in the Brazilian Free Energy Market.
Indicium was challenged to create a dynamic dashboard providing an overview of the Brazilian energy free market for real-time consultations, considering historic data from 2012 until now.
For, we created an automated ETL from the Brazilian Chamber of Commercialization of Electric Energy (CCEE). Then, categorized this dataset using data modeling techniques:

I am the CEO of an industry based in the construction industry. We sell a variety of products from screws to mailboxes to large stores. We are based in the south of Brazil and we have 12 employees.
For what projects/services did your company hire Indicium Tech?
I was having problems with field sales, difficulties to hire good salesman and high expenses. We decided to begin an inside sales project, not very common on our market. The challenge was: how to find new customers fast and with a good fit?
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to do target marketing using our base of customers and also a list of LEDs to do active selling.
How did you select Indicium Tech?
It was a long process of trying to find the best provider for the job. I was lucky to find Indicium through my college network.
Describe the project in detail.
The first step was to do an x-ray on my customer base. With that data we classified the customers by size and product like. Second step was to find LEADs similar to my customers, also by size and product link. With all the information we started to generate list of LEADs and to do active selling.
With the data was also possible to do target marketing in area we wanted to operate and with the LEADs we wanted to call. Every 15 days we had a meeting to discuss the results and to improve the extract of LEADs.
What was the team composition?
The team was composed by me and my seller. The side of Indicium was two analysts initially than some meeting with the CEO to discuss all the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
With their help we started an inside sales operation. In the beginning it was complicated because customers are used to receiving visits, but we developed some speeches and direct mail to attract LEAD's attention. Today inside sales represents 60% of my sales, in the year of the project we increased 15% in sales.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was very effective. They were fast to generate the LEAD list and also to modify what was going wrong. With they work on my customer data, it was clear to me where was the good customers and what product sell to them to increase sales.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The meetings to discuss the project and the results were the best parts. They were compromised to make things work, with tips for my seller and to me with my products. Is was very good to see some ideas of people that are not inside the company.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We were very satisfied with the results. The target marketing have to improve a little, because we don't have the ability to work with facebook and google, they can also offer this kind of work and do all the process.

We need Indicium to plug all of our channels into one dashboard and set up automation to generate the reports we where interested in. The task was simple enough to outline as we knew the areas we needed metrics from.

We now have an area where we can login and clearly see how all of our channels are performing. We can select date ranges and manipulate the dashboard to serve our needs. It's handy to not have to go to each individual channels reporting areas and cross reference everything. Having all our data in one space makes it easy and efficient to analyze our campaign performance.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Indicium was prompt and easy to communicate with. We are in different time zones so often we would connect on work and shift to email communication. The workflow was simple and straight forward.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Indicium would listen to our requests and execute on them. Some issues arose when plugging in certain aspects of our website but Indicium worked through issues to deliver what we needed.
Are there any areas for improvement?
If they where struggling to meet a deadline, they would proactively reach out and tell us why. These delays rarely happened but when they did, the added communication was greatly appreciated. These issues where generally directly related to oddities within our systems, so unforeseen hurdles would appear. In the future, Indicium could possibly spend more time understanding the nuances of each unique business structure.

The may goal was to be able to segment the Energy consumption base according to Economic groups and provide more intelligence in terms of market data analyses, market share calculation, close follow up of market trends and supply the sales team with powerful sales-related information.

We know indicium from a previous successful pilot we ran in 2019. The company was selected for this pilot after technical interviews with companies located in Florianópolis, where ENGIE headquarter is also located, a city recognized as the tech capital of Brazil.
Describe the project in detail.
Data integration and database structuring for a ENGIE, a power generation company responsible for the commercialization of over 13% of Energy in the free market of electricty. This also mean Indicium has to integrate all their codes in ENGIE's Data Lake and Data Warehouse. They also developed crawlers and data modeling for economic groups and na API for enriching ENGIE's data with data only available on Indicium's Data Warehouse.
What was the team composition?
On ENGIE's side, we were 3 analysts that are responsible for customer and market data at the Company. On Indicium's side, they had a Project manager, two data engineers and one data scientist working on the Project. I also assume they relied on their structure of several other data scientists for specific tasks.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are in the early stages of the Project yet, therefore no actual result. However we expect to save hundreds of hours per year of data gathering and analysis, as well as several GB of same data stored in multiple places and better information for the sales team that may translate in higher margin and better time-efficiency.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Frequent communication every week. Formal Sprint review every two weeks. Everybody available to each other through multiple platforms (WhatsApp, Email, Bitrix and so on)
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Extremely high technical capacity. They have knowledge of several diferente tools, including all tier 1 tools we use. They are only done when the client is happy with the result.
Are there any areas for improvement?
So far there is nothing specific to be pointed out. Of course, on our side, quality > speed, so any delay that may happen in the schedule will not be a big deal if the quality is right.

Marketing, IT, accounting and finance. we had to put everyone on the same page and then provide the data in the most correct way so that Indicium could deliver this project to us. The project lasted practically a year.

At the beginning the team was composed of an IT professional, a product engineering professional, an accounting professional, a cost professional and two marketing professionals.

We organized meeting to start the projetc with both teams, share our goals and the project schedule and main steps to achieve. We had meeting eith the leaderships once a week, while the indicium team work daily to understand our data.
The operational teams (dialogo e indicium) had a meeting very often, almost daily. As our system was from another companh, this was a special issue. We had to jeep an eye on these matter. The 3 opertional team work to solve problemas and to make the data viable. Again, we had checkpoints with the leaderships to solve eventual main issues.
Indicium propose the delivery four main points. 1) the draw of the database, how the architeture would be 2) Import the Figures and checking 3) defining main views 4) train the users and implementation The first part they work mainly by their own and had a great challenge They need our help With the third part team that own the system.
Fortunately they have a good negotiation and relashionship skills that facilitate to pass through this challenge. Import figures and checking figures demand a hard work together between indicium and dialogo with some checpoints to advance. To define the views, they were very patinent and diligent as we had still the “excel mindset”. They help us advance and change the mindset Finally they were very prestative and able to train our people and diciplined to implement the BI
