Impressive Agency Review - Billy J Boutique

The Challenge
Although the brand had already experienced some well-deserved success, they came to Impressive in 2019 wishing to elevate their vision to a global one. With the desire to increase brand awareness as well as to significantly increase sales and achieve a higher ROI, they wanted a strategy that covered all bases.
The Strategy
Our social media strategists used a three-stage funnel when building out the ads. The top of the funnel was dedicated to brand awareness, and our design team created engaging ads that would showcase a wide variety of Billy J’s products. Moving further down the funnel, we served action-oriented social ads that would turn passive browsers into buyers to maximize conversions.
Impressive’s PPC specialists created a strategy that would maximize the opportunities of pay-per-click platforms. Creating YouTube ads as a top-of-the-funnel (ToFU) strategy, we could create awareness and showcase the brand’s beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories in an engaging format.
Around the middle of the funnel, the team utilized display marketing ads to facilitate a consideration stage for potential customers that already had some awareness of the brand. The bottom of the funnel mostly consisted of Google Ads and Google Shopping campaigns, which both drove a huge boost in sales and an average monthly return of 41X for the client.
In addition to on-site SEO, our team worked to build authority using off-site white-hat strategies, resulting in Billy J ranking for leading keywords that have up to 40,000 searches every month.

Impressive Agency Review - Ivory & Deene

Since January 2020, Ivory & Deene has seen major organic traffic growth, with their flatline in progress becoming a thing of the past. We compared the period of 9 months before and after Impressive’s SEO campaign to find:

The Challenge
Impressive’s SEO team was handed the challenge of improving the organic visibility of Ivory & Deene’s unique products, to increase their organic traffic and online revenue. Our client was searching for at least a 6x return on their investment per month.
The Strategy
Our approach was driven by Ivory & Deene’s target audience, so we began by studying their demographics to build a content strategy around. By looking at quantitative data collected from Google Analytics, and qualitative data taken from an interview with the client, we generated a clearer picture of the target audience and created the brand’s tone-of-voice to suit.
We then combined the keywords across 3 phases to target audiences in the top, middle and bottom of the funnel in order to improve rankings, traffic and conversions.
Once the keywords and URLs had been finalized, our in-house writers got to work on a detailed content brief. This was supported by ongoing optimization including deep technical audits to identify and resolve any technical SEO issues and a close eye on performance monitoring to ensure traffic, rankings and conversions continued to grow.
The Results
We checked out the data in Google Search Console, to find that total clicks to the website have more than quadrupled in the last 6 months, and impressions have more than doubled.
The SEO campaign has also led to a lot more keywords ranking in top 3 and 4-10 positions. Right now, the website has 122 keywords in top 3 positions, and 216 keywords in positions 4-10.

When the brand first approached Impressive, they had zero online presence and wanted to find out how they could grow this. Originally starting out as stockists, they had recently shifted to an eCommerce store and needed a fresh, results-driven strategy.
Synergie Skin’s new marketing manager approached us to help achieve their original target of $100,000 of revenue in the first 12 months with Impressive.

We engaged in a comprehensive cross-channel approach to ensure Synergie Skin was able to surpass their objectives. Impressive’s in-house SEO, PPC, and social media teams worked together to build an integrated strategy that focused on the brand’s best-moving products.
With the anti-aging market in the midst of a huge growth period, we concentrated on making sure we put the right products in front of the right audience at the right time – to give Synergie Skin the competitive advantage it needed.

After 24 months of working with this client, growing from strength to strength, we were able to keep the momentum going despite the challenges of the 2020 landscape. In fact, March 2020 was a record month in revenue for online sales in digiDirect’s history.

The Challenge
Despite the brand’s previous success and status as a household Australian name for all things camera equipment, digiDirect wanted to find innovative ways to channel eCommerce in order to grow their online presence and increase their revenue.
When they approached Impressive, they already had a huge presence in the physical market but wanted us to drive visits to their online store. In short, they wanted to be the leading result in search engine results pages for users searching for the products they sell. They also found that their online conversion rate was low – much of the traffic coming in wasn’t turning into sales, so they wanted to find out how to turn this around.
The Strategy
We launched the strategy with a deep-dive audit, to identify any inefficiencies in digiDirect’s customer journey and pinpoint why the conversion rate wasn’t as high as it could be.
We then turned the brand’s current digital strategy on its head. We moved away from focusing on generating links and instead, executed a content-heavy SEO campaign. This included the optimization of key categories and over 7000 product pages, rolling out the content overhaul on a monthly basis, and ensuring the site was technically sound to deliver a better customer experience.
The Results
March 2020 was digiDirect’s biggest month ever in revenue for online sales. These figures were achieved despite the economic decline that’s occurred from coronavirus, with most brands struggling to maintain their usual sales figures – let alone beat them.

The Challenge
Already offering their laptops, desktops and touch-enabled devices through a network of retailers, Acer saw an opportunity to grow revenue through strengthening their eCommerce capabilities. An overall small online presence combined with a limited internal team primarily focused on Google Ads meant that rankings – and thus conversions – for the online store had suffered.
With competitors seeing exceptional success investing in their eCommerce channel, Acer wanted the same for them.
The Strategy
A company this large with goals this ambitious needed an intricate, precisely calibrated strategy – and that’s exactly what out experts delivered. We began with a deep audit of their website, looking for content gaps and UX shortfalls that were causing the client to miss out on ranks and conversions. As part of the onsite optimisation, fresh content was ordered for dozens of pages across the website, supporting key categories including laptops, desktops and gaming.
Meanwhile, our SEM team got to work putting together a winning Google Ads campaign for the client. Working off an understanding of their key demographics as gamers and the technologically savvy, the team built a campaign full of powerful, persuasive ads that resonated with the client’s niche audience.
The Results
The numbers speak for themselves. By September – just four short months after we kicked off the campaign – we had doubled the monthly revenue of the Acer website. The Challenge
Petite Cosmetics didn’t have any solid marketing plan in place when they approached Impressive, wanting to retain and grow their customers. With their founder being a major influencer, they had primarily relied on the community she’d built up – made up of millions of YouTube subscribers and over 180,000 Instagram followers.
This meant the organization had a massive database of subscribers that they weren’t utilizing to its full potential. Because of Impressive’s vast experience in eCommerce and in growing the international presence of companies, Petite Cosmetics wanted us to help them better communicate with their audience and drive their growth in the USA.
The Strategy
Our automation team launched a complete re-strategy of the organization’s Klaviyo account, optimizing their welcome series and abandoning cart emails to be more in tune with the brand and to communicate relevant messages to a segmented audience, at the most optimal times.
We also created engaging pop-up forms to increase lead generation and initialize flows for post-purchase and customer win-backs, with the aim of increasing customer retention and repeat purchases.

Impressive Agency Review - Kookai

The Challenge
Both offline and online, the fashion industry is one of the most competitive verticals to be positioned within. When lockdowns were introduced across Australia due to COVID, it became apparent to Kookai that relying on offline transactions was a thing of the past.
As Kookai already had a well-established loyal customer base in market, our objective was to find new customers online and to increase online revenue for Kookai.
The Strategy
To position Kookai front of mind to online shoppers we launched Google Ads and Shopping campaigns, targeting those with intent to purchase fashion pieces online.
In addition to this we restructured Kookai’s social media strategy to introduce conversion based objectives at all stages of the customer journey, and introduced detailed retargeting strategies for the brand.

The Challenge
Leading skincare brand Bioderma came to Impressive as they wanted to cut through the oversaturated Australian market and find a qualified audience who had a need for their products. They briefed us on finding the best channels to do so, however, they didn’t have any eCommerce functionality on their website, so in order to achieve Bioderma’s objectives the Impressive team had to flip performance marketing on its head.
The Strategy
Taking an Agile marketing approach, we used typically performance-focused channels to not only achieve brand objectives (awareness, qualified reach) but also to drive a qualified audience through to the Bioderma site. We measured engagement goals in Analytics, such as product views, time on site, and ‘find a store’ clicks. Having a fluid budget allowed us to optimize as required, maximizing these results and ensuring we were targeting the right audience for the Bioderma brand.

Not only did we deliver a considerable increase in overall traffic, but our performance-based targeting also ensured we drove a quality audience (based on measurable data).

Impressive Agency Review - Sunyee

Sunyee International is a leading supplier of premium 4x4 accessories and outdoor camping supplies. Their mission is to engineer great offroad and outdoor products at affordable prices.

The Challenge:
As a result of the lockdowns, curfews, and travel restrictions that were implemented in the latter half of 2020 in Victoria and the Northern Beaches of NSW, Sunyee faced a huge dip in organic traffic. Additionally, there were a fair amount of technical issues, as well as little to no on-page content, which made it difficult for Sunyee to be discovered via search engines. Limited category descriptions were also a factor in minimal organic traffic.
The Strategy:
Impressive set out to analyze the existing landscape by identifying, prioritizing, and fixing the top technical issues that covered indexation, structured data, and page experience.
We read through popular product descriptions in order to identify additional keywords and categories that were relevant and would lead to more search visibility and organic traffic. We compared this with phrases with Google Search Console, taking note of pages that were high for impressions. Once we'd established these, we created additional categories based on this information.
As content formed a major part of this strategy, target audience research was critical to the success of the campaign. We went back and rewrote or added to the existing content on the main category pages using a complete keyword refresh. This ultimately allowed our in-house writers to provide more educational content that would be relevant to the keywords users would be searching for.
The Results:
By conducting an analysis of top-performing categories and brands based on the past 6 months’ revenue from all traffic sources, as well as identifying the right audience, Sunyee saw an increase in organic traffic, page one keywords, and revenue.

Impressive Agency Review - Elevation107

Elevation107 began working with Impressive in April 2020 following an unsuccessful eCommerce migration by another agency and unprofitable campaigns. Our aim was to get Elevation107 back on the slopes by yielding profit, maximizing their ROI across various channels, and building an organic, sustainable online presence.

Ongoing lockdowns and travel restrictions across Australia saw the demand for skiing and snowboarding gear plummet. Coupled with existing issues as a result of a failed website migration with another agency, Elevation107’s eCommerce sales were in freefall. Restoring traffic and visibility, boosting sales, and improving conversion rates was no easy feat - but the experienced team at Impressive was ready to take on the challenge.
The Strategy:
Our plan involved recovery work to salvage lost rankings post-migration, identifying and pursuing new traffic growth opportunities around commercial queries, and driving qualified traffic to the site through bespoke mobile and desktop campaigns. No avenue was left unexplored as we incorporated all relevant ad extensions, including call-out and enhanced sitelinks. To target potential customers in the middle of the sales funnel, we rolled out dynamic product ads across Facebook and Instagram. The Challenge
It was time for Luxo Living to break out of the pandemic slump and claim its rightful place back on top of the online furniture industry. While this was quite a feat with ambitious goals ahead, Luxo Living had the right team behind them to make it happen - Impressive.
The goal of this campaign was to drive traffic back to the site, increase overall revenue by 78% and cement the brand at the front of potential customers' minds.
The Strategy:
To achieve those goals, it was imperative that we threw everything we had into the campaign. The chosen strategy was to deploy an integrated campaign, utilizing multiple channels including SEO, SEM, social media, and automation that would work together harmoniously to achieve the common objectives.
Our plan was to target high-intent keywords on search, create and optimize content-rich category pages for organic SEO, build backlinks, improve site architecture and make use of social and paid media from a remarketing and top of funnel perspective. Following this, we then came in with email automation tactics to further segment and nurture prospective customers.
The Results:
Overall, the integrated campaign led to a drastic increase in website traffic with an increase of 65% in sessions and a 78% increase in unique users.
Like with every campaign, the real proof of success lies in the pudding - the revenue. In just one year, Luxo Living also saw a monumental 86% increase in sales compared to the previous year.

We have weekly WIP's with the team and generally make decisions during these meetings. The workflow is very effective. If decisions cant be made during the WIPs we correspond during the week via email.

Superstars that I didn’t know I needed! That’s what I get working with Impressive. I get a team of superstars and super brains that I didn’t know I needed! We knew we needed help with Digital Marketing but had no idea how we were going to achieve this on our own, nor where to start. The best decision our company could have made was to reach out to Impressive and see what they could do to help us. They have exceeded this beyond what we thought we needed.
Their focus on our brand and company and the ease of which they go about their work is outstanding. Mincove Homes, a local award-winning family-owned business has been building beautiful, high-quality homes for the people in the Wollongong, Shoalhaven, Southern Highlands and Goulburn regions for over 20 years. There were several people involved in the process. There was Russ himself, who was always on call should I ever need anything. We had an account manager as well as access to the account manager's "team leader" which was a nice bit of access. Our campaign was an amazing success and we achieved everything that we were promised & more! Our SEO campaign was so successful that we went on to win an SEM Rush award for "BEST ONLINE MARKETING CAMPAIGN – REAL ESTATE" - which was some great recognition for the team as well as a testament to the client x agency relationship that we had built throughout our time working together.

As we were setting up our affiliate, we hired Impressive to handle all aspects of Digital marketing, as an extension to our office marketing team. Impressive quickly became an extension of our team, always appointing the best expert in each deliverable. SEO, SEM, Google ads, Social advertising, automation etc... We set up our Digital strategy which we would then review twice a year and adapt our action plan based on findings, results and industry best practices, alongside head office guidelines and recommendations, which they would always adapt to our home market.
