I am the CEO of an online coffee business in France, selling product only through online channels.

For what projects/services did your company hire Imperial IT Pvt. Ltd., and what were your goals?

We wanted to be aligned with our ambitions, means to have our own mobile app and web app for internal purposes. The goal for the mobile app was to offer our customers a full online experience and the web app was for our operations team.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After searching online for development companies, I had interviews with 5 of them shortlisted before. The call with Nilesh was different, he showed an incredible flexibility and dedication to my projects from the beginning that convinced me right from the scratch.

Within 3 months I got the mobile app live and we had only brillant feedbacks on customers' experience on it from our clients. The app is rated 5 stars on Apple Store and Google Play.

We had regular meetings with the project manager and developpers working on the project to align and confirm every step of the production.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Since 1993, our company has been specializing in providing audio, web conferencing, collaboration, unified communications, streaming, and virtual event technology. We cater to businesses of all sizes in North America. We provide both professional services and technology to support all of these service requirements. 

I am the VP of marketing, and I’m responsible for our marketing and product marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Imperial IT Pvt. Ltd?

We needed help in developing a specific web application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by figuring out our initial requirements as a company, and Imperial IT came on board and helped shape our scope of work, as well as our budget requirements. They refined our approach based on those discussions. Once we agreed on everything, we hired their team. 

After that, we had several meetings to set timelines and assess milestones, as well as brainstorm the tasks that needed to be done to benefit the end user. They factored that in as part of our process, which we appreciated. 

They worked in sprints and released different parts of the project to us for review. We assessed it as a group and performed testing. As we worked through various iterations, we had the opportunity to further refine, until we achieved what we wanted the app to be. Their team also helped us during the product launch.

Even though the initial project is complete, we continue to leverage Imperial IT to support and update the web app. 

What is the team composition?

Nilesh (Business Development Manager) is our primary contact who leads the team, but we also work with about 2–3 people.  

How did you come to work with Imperial IT Pvt. Ltd?

We did some research and we came across Imperial IT through a referral by a US-based developer we previously worked with. He had used Imperial IT for his own work, and he connected us with them.

How much have you invested with them?

Over the years, we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with Imperial IT.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around January 2017, and it is ongoing. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our tasks usually involve inputting information on behalf of our client. On top of providing a developer, Imperial IT also provides a QA resource that is responsible for reviewing their work before it is submitted to us. That goes a long way in picking up issues and errors, instead of us having to identify them.

That system lends to the quality of their work. We have very tight timelines for our projects, which makes their internal testing invaluable. 

How did Imperial IT Pvt. Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Imperial IT has been able to meet all of our needs within our timeline. They consistently meet milestones and set the right expectations on when deliverables are going to be available. 

Generally, they’re efficient and good at project management. They are also very prompt, courteous, communicative, and responsive; they complete their work to our satisfaction.

Overall, Nilesh has been amazing and responsive. He always makes himself available to hear our feedback or provide support during our business hours, even though it would be the middle of the night for him.

Language, communication, and scheduling issues always make working with offshore companies a little bit more difficult. However, their team is helpful, and they make everything as convenient as possible for us. Ultimately, Nilesh is a very resourceful project manager, and the team is talented and well-rounded. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Imperial IT impresses us with their ability to make themselves available. Their being overseas has never been a barrier, and that makes our relationship better. Compared to the other ones we’ve worked with, they definitely stand out on that matter. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't know that there is anything they could improve. Maybe they could have a representative here in the US, but it's not necessary.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need to be clear on what your requirements are and to have some ownership over the project. You can’t just hand over the entire project and expect things are going to work themselves out. There needs to be management, guidance, and communication. You need to make yourself available, too, if they need you. Start the engagement with the right expectations and be organized to benefit everyone.

To create a brand new website from scratch as well as an e-learning platform.

Absolutely fantastic team of people bringing solutions at high speed. Great outcome, beautiful design.

Communication has been incredible, from emails to Skype and phone. Although I’m far from the country of origin, it felt like we were very close.
