Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the owner of our company, and act as a liaison for buyers and sellers who are generally located in Europe and the U.S.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ideal IT Techno?
We originally started working together on web development. After completing several of those projects, we moved onto app development about five years ago.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The team has grown from six to about 55 members. After they built up their team, they started handling the wireframes and designs. Originally, they started off with HTML apps for small businesses and then moved on to bigger business production apps. The development language now uses Objective C and Java in their native forms.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Rakesh Gavande, the manager of Ideal IT Techno. His position is just below the owner. The fact that they increased the size of their team made my work much easier.
How did you come to work with Ideal IT Techno?
I found Ideal IT Techo through a local referral, when I worked in Michigan seven or eight years ago. The quality for the price they offer was unbelievable. It couldn't be matched by anybody here locally.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent between $70,000 and $100,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together between 2010 and 2016. Since I accepted a contract working with the state, I'm no longer able to practice any outside work. That was the only reason we stopped working together.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I worked with 24 clients using Ideal IT Techno's services. All six of the 24 who needed additional work done wanted to move onto future projects using their team. I was happy with them until the end. After passing on their information to people looking for similar services locally, I found them clients in Detroit, Houston, and Denver. They've been expanding in the U.S. with other several new clients.
How did Ideal IT Techno perform from a project management standpoint?
They always either met our deadlines, or completed their work prior to when it was due. We used the Zoho suite of project management tools to correspond with their developers. Their manager is willing to communicate literally 24/7. He will respond to any e-mail or call within an hour, regardless of the time of day. That’s not something you find at most companies.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Since they have over 50 employees, whatever job you need to get done will be completed from A to Z. They can provide all the services for your project, including wireframes, design, development, and quality assurance. I never had to search for app or web testers; they cover everything.
Are there any areas they could improve?
This isn't within their control, but the 10-hour time zone difference between them and our clients was significant.
