Lilou is a valued brand of personalized, engraved jewelry and accessories.
As part of our cooperation, we have migrated the store from Magento 1 to Magento 2 online store engines. Our certified Magento developers was dealing with the current store service and its development at the frontend and backend levels.
The effects of our actions, in cooperation with the Lilou brand, were:
- increase of the number of orders placed by mobile devices,
- reducing the number of abandoned baskets,
- re-composing the Lilou brand website image,
- refining intuitive sales channels by introducing the RWD technique.
Veepee is a multi-brand online store that offers brand products up to 70% off every day. Veepee is an European leader in the flash sales industry and so works with more than 7,000 recognized brands, offering products in many categories such as fashion, home, accessories and others. Veepee has over 50 million satisfied customers worldwide.
We faced the challenge of improving the infrastructure of the database to support heavy traffic on the site. A number of problems in the database have led to a decrease in performance. We re-indexed it so that we restored stability and reduced the time it takes to access the data in the database. This has resulted in tangible benefits for our client – fast indexation is key for the short, several-day sales campaigns on which Veepee is based. In addition, we took care of a consistent and transparent image of the portal and UX optimizations. As part of the actions been taken, we implemented our IDEAerp system. As a result, the customer has been able to use the modules: PIM - Product Information Management; B2B purchases; handling returns as part of the implemented ISO system; sales handling; accounting and personnel data base as well as CAT (Computer-Aided Translations). The latter module supports the translation of the campaign from the supplier (Ventee Privee) from French to Polish.
Dr. Oetker is among the top food producing companies in Europe. The brand's products are recognized by consumers on international markets.
As part of cooperation with Dr. Oetker, we carried out a full redesign of the online store, adapting it to the current trends and standards. Hundreds of hours of work resulted in a well-designed platform. We have increased the intuitiveness and transparency of the site and also combined it in terms of color and functionality. In addition, our main assumptions included the use of Responsive Web Design technology, as well as adapting the site as much as possible for the SEO mechanism.
Operon is a pedagogical publishing house operating on the educational publications market. Our specialists took care of Magento 2 based platform, thus solving current problems and implementing new functionalities which resulted in the increase of conversion of the e-store. The solutions, that we introduced concerned the area of backed and frontend.
Pyskaty Zamsz is an online store offering the purchase and sale of branded clothes, shoes, accessories and handbags. Our challenge was to introduce YOPE into the e-commerce world. We have created a modern and functional online store from scratches. We took care of the finest presentation of the products. Due to COVID-19, the project was abruptly ended by the client. Despite that, IDEA07 was responsive and excellently coordinated all their tasks. They were patient and helpful throughout the engagement.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was an e-commerce manager of an online bookstore. I cooperated directly with the management board of the publishing house, which offered legal and professional information, necessary in the daily work of various professional groups.
For what projects/services did your company hire IDEA07, and what were your goals?
The subject of the contract was cooperation in the field of programming services (Magento 2), graphics, analytical services, quality assurance, project management and strategic consulting. By implementing this agreement, I hoped to improve the website, e-commerce functionality and increase traffic and conversion. The action plan was to achieve profitability within two years.
How did you select IDEA07 and what were the deciding factors?
Years of working in e-commerce have allowed me to meet many certified Magento partners. The choice of Idea07 was determined by their high skills, very good value for money and individual approach to the customer. From the very beginning I felt very well looked after by Idea07.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We started with a quick verification of the current solutions. At the same time, a list of tasks was created, which we then divided into priorities. It was clear that we first need to complete the migration to a higher version of Magento and fix many bugs. Then, the plan included focusing on website speed, linking and redirect structure, purchasing process, homepage and search engine. All changes were designed to adapt the existing e-commerce to the needs of the relevant segment, which was the B2B segment. At the same time, it was also necessary to start seo activities and building content, so close cooperation with the other provider was required.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
At the beginning I was led by the sales director. After that, the project director became the main point of contact for me. There were also two back-end developers and a test specialist. I was also guaranteed a free and unlimited helpdesk.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Only some of the planned tasks have been implemented, although quantitatively there were many of them. Unfortunately, we did not manage to implement many important changes, because in the event of a pandemic and the consequences of a decrease in turnover, the management board of the publishing house decided to close the e-commerce project.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We had weekly meetings, and after each meeting, I received a comprehensive summary from the project director by email. There was also trouble-free e-mail and telephone communication on a daily basis. The execution of tasks / projects and their implementation were coordinated by Redmine.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a lot of experience building robust e-commerce websites. Their team was patient enough to teach us about the best ways to use Magento 2, and they were responsive to all our needs.

I don't see any areas that should be improved.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Złote Wyprzedaże is a flash-sales company established in 2010. We later restructured and sold it to Vente Privee Group, which is an international company with a presence in Europe, Mexico, and a few locations in the US. We are one of the biggest flash-sales players in the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with IDEA07?
They were our secondary partner; we have a core Magento development team, but we wanted to have a second line for this project. We wanted the flexibility to use as many developers as needed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
IDEA07 works on the front-and backend of our platform. They gained a good understanding of the concept we wanted to develop, and they helped us get the product ready to sell. They helped us adapt our old interface and solutions to new company standards. IDEA01 also worked with us on integrating Magento ERP.
What is the team composition?
We have multiple lines of contact on their side. The Gaussian curve in our situation is quite typical. Some of their members are experts, while others are still mastering skills.
How did you come to work with IDEA07?
Pawel (Sales Director, IDEA07) cold-called me at a very good moment when I was already looking for a company like IDEA07. With each new sentence, he demonstrated that they were aligned with what we were searching for and what we do.
How much have you invested with them?
I can’t provide an actual figure, but we bought hundreds or even thousands of work hours from IDEA07.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with IDEA07 in 2016. The collaboration isn’t as intensive as it was when we needed a lot of development resources in the beginning. However, anytime we have a big task that can be outsourced, we go to IDEA07.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very happy with the team. The collaboration has been a positive experience in general. If I were to go back to 2016 with the knowledge I have today, I wouldn’t change my decision to hire them.
How did IDEA07 perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been very responsive—we’ve communicated through video calls on a daily basis. They could work with any kind of client. Our teams are 300 kilometers apart, and we’ve been working as though we were sitting in the same room.
Now, we have a 24/7 emergency line with them for ERP tasks. We have our own emergency team for the Magento shop, so we don’t go to IDEA07 for that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re great at Magento ERP.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be great if they reduced resource rotation and assigned more senior developers. This is a problem with development companies globally because there are fewer people working in the area than what the market demands. I’ve encountered this with every company I’ve ever met. However, this is something they could work on.
