SHIPMENT MANAGEMENT MOBILE APPLICATION
THE NEED FOR MOBILE APP
Our client - international shipping and container transportation company, reached out to us to create a mobile application for shipment tracking.
For this project, we covered the full cycle of software development and maintenance including UX/UI design, requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS & SOLUTION
The client was interested in an app for all main mobile platforms. During the investigation and taking into account all client needs and further plans, we discovered that no suitable cross-platform solution existed at the time. That’s why it was decided to develop our own cross-platform framework.
The Scrum framework was chosen for this project. Our development process began with a requirements analysis and documentation. Then we flowed smoothly into the prototype development.
At this stage, a business analyst worked in close cooperation with a UX/UI specialist to create an extensive prototype in Figma that gave a complete picture of how new screens or elements would look. This approach saved time and resources for development. This sort of realism allowed us to assess the usability, or any potential inconveniences of use, and make changes to the UI or business logic before the developers started implementing the feature. After agreeing on the prototype, we began feature implementation.
RESULTS
When the framework was developed, the delivery speed of business features became very high and clients were able to fully assess the benefits of the chosen approach. We wrote all the logic in Lua, and we described the page layout using a markup language. This gave our customer, more opportunities to speed up new feature development, and delivery to production, as it made it possible to add new features without the participation of native mobile application developers.
We are proud to say that through the development process and testing, we got the app to 99.8% issues free.

BIG DATA: RICE FIELD ANALYSIS USING DRONE PHOTOS
CLIENT
Agricultural Production Company
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Develop an application to analyze photos made by a drone while flying over rice fields and count the number of plants sprouted on the plots in the image.
SOLUTION
The IBA Group team implemented image processing algorithms to calculate the number of objects. For end-users, we created an application that processes photos, determines the number of plants on them and generates reports in *.csv and *.pdf formats.
APPLICATION ALGORITHM:
· Create a polygonal image of the region of interest
· Download satellite image for it (requires Internet connection)
· Take a calibration photo (taken at the desired measurement height containing two visible objects placed on the ground at a distance of 1m from each other)
· Take a photo above the field for measurements
· Perform calibration procedure using the calibration image
· Generate report
OUTCOME
Thanks to the application, the customer can receive reliable information about rice fields using drones. The project is continuously improving.

A BENCHMARKING ANALYSIS OF 3 LEADING RPA PLATFORMS
CLIENT
European Telecommunications Operator
BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Process data on the counterparties of the telecommunications company and import them from Excel to the SAP ERP system. Then, based on this data, create Word documents to conclude additional agreements with contractors and enter them into the workflow system.
SOLUTION
IBA Group team conducted a benchmarking analysis of the three leading RPA platforms: UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism. To address the challenge, they chose UiPath.
IBA led several remote consultations on RPA and solution demonstrations for the customer during the project and implemented an algorithm for obtaining data from an Excel file, processing and entering it into the SAP system. The robot also generated contracts automatically in Word format based on the data obtained.
RESULT
The pilot project showed that the robot could take on the routine manual work of users, thereby providing the organization's employees with increased capacity for analytical tasks.

We work closely with IBA Group for the development and design of our software. We provide them with the documents, architecture, and framework at the beginning of the project and they’ll build the entire code from scratch using Figma.
In addition, they use AWS cloud services and Angular for mobile app development.
What is the team composition?
We typically have two backend developers, two frontend developers, and one DevOps engineer in our team.
How much have you invested with them?
So far, we’ve spent more than $1 million.

Our ongoing partnership with IBA Group started in May 2019.

When we had a need, we reached out out to our partners, including IBA. They have people with required skills and good English who would be able to help our clients.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
One example of such collaboration is in the area of business analytics. Our client has many reports written in Qlik and Tableau. They need help in analyzing what they have already, enhancing those reports and dashboards and creating new ones.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have over a dozen developers who have been helping us, including BI developers, .NET and QA engineers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We and our clients appreciate the knowledge, skills, and attitude to work that our colleagues from IBA have consistently demonstrated.

I am the Managing Partner at ColabPro - a technology consulting and software engineering company that offers custom development services with development centers in North America and Eastern Europe.
For what projects/services did your company hire IBA Group?
In 2021 we managed to expand our clients and partners network but were faced with a shortage of personnel, especially in such IT areas and technologies as Business Process Management, Java and Camunda. Our client – a huge asset management company – needed to build a new platform based on Camunda to automate business processes in the area of reporting and human resource management as a single solution for all business units and geographical locations.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We knew that our long-term partner IBA Group has a vast portfolio of successful projects, including BPM and BPMN implementation. Thus, we decided to address IBA Group with a request to provide qualified experts and consultants to cover the above-mentioned request.
Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.
After initial detailed studying of our client’s request, core pain-points and main goals to be achieved, IBA Group created an implementation plan that was immediately accepted by the client. They provided three relevant Camunda and Java experts who have been working closely since then with our client’s team. When the first stage of the project was achieved, upon our client’s request IBA expanded the team to five experts and has intensified work on new and more complicated tasks to scale up the project. The team members demonstrated great technical (Camunda, Java) and communication/management skills while performing tasks.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The initial team consisted of three persons (one Team Lead and two Developers) and subsequently was expanded with two additional Developers. We and our client were also in constant contact with relevant IBA IT Solutions Consultant and Resource manager to update the results of the work and exchange views on how we can improve it.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
IBA Group team has been successfully implementing all the tasks since the beginning of the project and has already received several very positive testimonials from the client. The team has implemented the MVP with core functions and initially selected processes to demonstrate the new platform to business units. The business team is excited to use the given MVP and the project sponsor is keen to push it out across the teams globally. IBA team met all the deadlines indicated by the client without initial budget reassessment.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We achieved smooth and efficient communication with IBA Group team to update day-to-day activity and achievements. We successfully build a great joint team customer side and IBA Group with a high level of internal collaboration. Additionally, there was direct contact between the client’s team and IBA consultants in terms of new assignments and project planning activities.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are able to oversee and implement the entire process within the project: from problem identification to its successful solving. Professional, independent, reliable and sensitive team of experts who are eager to make client’s life better.
