Branding The Impossible
Welcome to Henderson-West & Company.
Here, we promote the nurturing of ideas from marginalized communities and bring them to fruition through the art of branding and visual communication.
As brand curators/storytellers, we help contextualize and empower diverse stories so that their tellers(you, dear client) may learn to actualize development and defy the impossible.
We do this by discovering your 'Why': Why you exist and why you're worth the world's' attention, time, and money.
Then we discover the 'How': How your story relates to the global community and how to design targeted messaging for desired audience actions.
Through data-driven strategies paired with story-driven content and purposeful design, the stories we tell help manifest our clients' dreams and goals to further a world without what-ifs.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Campaigns Organizer at a small progressive political nonprofit in Boston, MA that manages a coalition of organizations and trains candidates on how to run for office.
For what projects/services did your company hire HW & Company, and what were your goals?
We hired HW & Company to overhaul our website on WordPress. It has been over a decade since we updated our external website and we needed someone with an eye for creative design, flow, and structure to do a whole cosmetic update.
Our intention was to make our website easier to navigate, attract more traffic, and easier to update moving forward.
How did you select HW & Company and what were the deciding factors?
We selected HW & Company because we liked the example websites they provided that they had designed in the past. The price was reasonable and Chris and his team were responsive, professional, and helpful.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We met and set goals and expectations including laying out which pages needed to be updated and how. Then Chris and his team overhauled the cosmetic updates, sent us the design, and helped us formalize the end product.
The deliverables were the set of pages that needed to be updated and some content and copy changes. We used WordPress to host the website.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our point person was Chris Henderson-West (position: Lead Brand Manager & Narrative Strategist) and he brought on two members of his team to help.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were very pleased with the website redesign we received from Chris and his team. They met all of our expectations and provided deliverables we were happy with.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We primarily communicated through email with occasional Zoom meetings. The team was professional, responsive, helpful, and timely in answering all of our questions and addressing our concerns.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were impressed by their responsiveness to adapt the changes we needed to see in the redesign. They also provided a guide at the end that helps our team navigate the new website and get familiar with the backend.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We were happy with the process and our relationship with HW & Company!
The organization was very pleased with what HW & Company had delivered. The client received a guide to familiarize themselves with the new website. The team met all of the client's expectations. They were professional, responsive, helpful, and timely.
