AI Headline Analysis & Prediction Tool
The Young Bukovynian newsletter is a dominant outlet among the regional editions.
The aim of the project was to implement an AI/ML feature to increase the reach by analyzing the headlines of the outlet and identifying the factors that contribute to the effectiveness of the headline.
The next step was to create a software solution that will assist authors with writing more effective headlines and predict whether a particular title will be successful according to the preferences of the target audience.
Execution
For this project, considering the potential high-load and machine learning features, we decided to use Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Python, Flask, Tensorflow, Keras, Jupyter, React.js and Polyglot NLP pipeline.
Analysis:
We have analyzed the dataset with the publications from the website for the following criteria: View analysis correlation on two criteria: 2 hours after posting the piece and 24 hours after posting the piece, TF-IDF analysis to determine the importance of the specific words to a document in a corpus, LDA topic modeling to round up the relevant tag keywords.
As a result, we have constructed a correlation matrix that illustrates the dependence of these factors on the success rate of the headline. The graph includes the correlations between the publication time (2 and 24 hours after posting), entity count (including person, organization, and location count), title length, polarity, digits, and sentiment score.
Outcome
The solution we got in the result became a foundation for the prototype of Headline Success Prediction Interface: the prototype works on a predictive model based on the AutoML predictions model and custom ML model.
Our client was happy with the way the product turned out and for us, it was a great opportunity to show our experience in the AI/ML technology. Win-win!

HeForShe Arts Week 2020 AR Mobile App
UN Women in conjunction with HeForShe needed an AR gallery of works of contemporary Ukrainian women artists (1909 - 2019) in a mobile app.
HeForShe Ambassadors in Ukraine Michael Shur and Yaroslava Kravchenko (Telebachennya Toronto) introduce and guide users to the AR experience, where they can see, hear and even touch the works of the most acclaimed and more obscure female artists. HeForShe Arts Week 2020 celebrates their achievements and contribution to art across 110 years of Ukrainian history.
HUSPI’s role was to create a mobile app from scratch with AR features. The project was under strict deadlines due to the event’s scheduled date. We’ve worked closely with the UN Women and HeForShe team to take pictures of the artwork, integrate video of the speakers, and publish the app on the Apple app store just in time (which also was perfect just before the COVID-19 quarantine measures came into force.)
We have used Unity 3D for the development of the app.

MIRS Corporation Ecosystem Digitization
Mirs Corporation deals with domestic appliances and kitchenware wholesale trade and has its own retail chain development. Mirs also provides professional products and services to the hospitality industry. The reason Mirs contacted HUSPI was to help them build a client communication platform for streamlining business processes.
Strategy
We were tasked with maintaining structural changes in the company and business methods due to the enterprise’s IT-system reforms.
Execution
HUSPI conducted a complex audit of the IT systems and business processes. One of the major tasks for us was to write down technical and functional requirements for the existing IT system optimization for further implementation.
Outcome
The websites of the corporation were created with the help of PHP / Laravel and integrated with third-party service providers using the REST API.
For the corporation's ERP system, we decided to use Microsoft Navision since it could seamlessly integrate with Power BI by Microsoft for real-time analytics and streamlined decision-making processes across the companies and departments.
We have transferred a part of the business to the new IT platform - 1C - to accelerate the business processes and improve data quality. 1C was used both for accounting and financial purposes as well as POS software.

Custom Social Network Mobile Application
Family Business Network (FBN) is an organization with a mission of offering a communication platform for business owners. The project the HUSPI team worked on was a mobile application for a closed social network.
The primary task before us was to create a new way of communication for the closed network of company owners and their families.
We needed to create a cross-platform mobile app for communication as well as an admin panel for managing the mobile app.
While we were working on the main part of the mobile app, the requirements expanded to add another feature: the ability to close business deals within the app.
Having analyzed the requirements, HUSPI developers used the following technologies for development and DevOps support:
- Ionic 2, Node.JS, REST Web API, HTML5, MySQL;
- Docker, Apache Tomcat, TeamCity, CI, Linux Debian.

NeuralSolution Sentiment Analysis
NeuralSolution is a company with the patent-pending technology able to extract a wide range of biometric readings from sensors, which helps to monitor and model the neural patterns.
NeuralSolution approached the HUSPI team with the need to develop and implement the architecture of the project. Considering the vast amount of incoming data, we needed to set up complex processes to analyze the streaming data, transform it into specific characteristics, and send this processed data to a light bulb that would change color according to the emotion experienced.
We also needed to create a dashboard for patients and doctors, where they can see recorded videos of themselves for further work.
The project's sensors are non-invasive, which means that all data is coming from video files and biometric parameters. Specially developed light bulb receives the parameters about emotions in real-time and its color reflects the state of the person's nervous system.
Therefore, there were several tasks before HUSPI:
- Create the architecture and think through all the data processing, storage, and analysis rules in order to avoid crashes and mislabeling
- Develop the dashboard with the incoming data
- Create separate user permission rights for doctors, administrative personnel, and users
- Create all light bulb settings and integrate it with the dashboard's backend
For these tasks, we have used the following technologies: React, Redux, Core UI, Node.js, Noble, PostgreSQL.
This technology helps to accurately translate physiological information into useful for business metrics: engagement, attention, stress, sentiment, connectedness, etc.

Reha-Stim MedTech Project
REHA STIM Medtec project is a software gaming system aimed at speeding up the rehabilitation process in patients with cognitive impairment. The main users of the rehab system are stroke patients. The secondary users are therapists who administer the system, add users, set the games and processes up and run reports.
Since it is a gaming platform, we opted for development using Unity 3D and C#.
Another interesting technical challenge for us in this project was the fact that the games had to be controlled using special Bi-Manu Trainer gloves. Special sensors installed in them can track patient's movements and therapists can understand how to tailor the rehab program to a particular person's needs. Therefore, the project was part-IoT due to the gloves' sensors integration.
Our primary task was to develop a set of eight games according to the technical requirements presented by our client. Since, as we mentioned above, the main users are people with cognitive impairment, we had to pay special attention to the user interface and experience.
It had to be light, not overloaded with information, and it always had to provide ample descriptions as to what to do next. The games are connected to the reporting system and track user actions to see whether the patient's mental health is improving.

EasyPay System
EasyPay is an online payment resource. The main task before the HUSPI team was to develop a system for monitoring operations based on web technologies. The goal was to allow more extensive use of operating system data as well as optimization of the web and mobile applications architecture.
HUSPI team got together to work in three main directions:
- Create a new interface with higher usability level so that customers and administration could easily navigate the system
- Improve the productivity of the resource taking into account the increased user load
- Add new features
Having explored the technical requirements and expectations of our client, we have opted to use the following technologies and frameworks:
- Web: Angular 4, ASP.NET Web API, HTML5, Telerik, MSSQL
- Databases: PowerBI, Azure, MSSQL
As a result of our diligent work, the efficiency of the EasyPay resource increased 4 times in terms of high-load management. We also have simplified customer experience processes thanks to the complete redesign of the website.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the COO for a startup that is using nervous system intelligence to improve the human condition on our shared planet. We use or license our technology to cases that are within our ethical goals of applying science toward human good and societal welfare.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUSPI?
We had already deduced the hard and software system for neural state measurements and implemented an algorithm on Python. We hired HUSPI to help us develop the idea further.
What were your goals for this project?
We needed a proof of concept for our central idea and algorithm.
How did you select this vendor?
We connected with them through personal contacts.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
HUSPI began by creating our system architecture. It was a complicated one because, as a startup, some of the parts are unstable. They also designed a web dashboard with data visualization from the algorithm output, user settings, and session settings. The dashboard included bulbs that changed color depending on several data variables from six different body parameters. HUSPI gathered all the data and video for every session and made graphs to correlate with video timelines. They used a variety of technologies, including React, Redux, Core UI, Node.js, Noble, and PostgreSQL.
What was the team composition?
The team composition varied with the level of development. We received an initial consultation from a senior IT project manager, then a system architect built the structure. Two developers and one project manager completed all subsequent development work with part-time support from a DevOps team.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Not everything went perfectly, but we eventually received a system that real therapists could use in live sessions to gather user experience data.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We began with Jira, but with a short project length and some unexpected detours, we rather quickly opted for more direct communication via phone, Skype, and WhatsApp.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are fully invested in their projects. They strove to understand our obstacles and bottlenecks more than we were able to ourselves. Moreover, many of their solutions were more time and cost-effective than those of other vendors we had considered.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I would like to see them spend more time on the initial system audit because the development process often deviated from the original plan. On the other hand, HUSPI did not charge us any additional expenses for a scope that extended beyond the agreement.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the CIO at Mirs Corporation, a distributor for professional household appliances and utensils.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUSPI?
We hired HUSPI to entirely redesign our online internal processes.
What were your goals for this project?
Our main goal was to cut internal costs and increase revenue for our online services division.
How did you select this vendor?
HUSPI was recommended to us as the best in digital transformation agency for our industry.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
First, HUSPI analyzed our business processes and conducted interviews to assess areas for growth. Then they recommended several technical solutions that could work for our needs. Once we made a choice, they started the integration process, which included: developing the data flow map for our future systems, re-building the supplier-chain business process, and launching business intelligence tools for monitoring real-time BIs (Business Intelligence). Our IT core system was also replaced in order to transfer data flows in accordance with the new infrastructure. Next, they made workshops for all of our business units to implement the technical changes. Finally, they launched the CRM with several new online platforms and replicated the entire process with our online team.
What was the team composition?
We worked with a senior business analyst, a senior IT project manager, and a database architect.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
We’re happy with how the new platforms launched and have seen a successful ROI.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used JIRA to track our project. Our company is in a different city than HUSPI’s office, so they traveled to meet us throughout the course of our project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I found their level of professionalism especially impressive. They made a huge change to our company in a relatively short amount of time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, I don't think so.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the CTO of Easypay. We’re a payment system that allows customers to pay for services at physical kiosks and through an online portal. We also offer an electronic wallet.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUSPI?
Our online system was developed over ten years ago, so we needed to update it. We needed to create a web/mobile app, a B2B personal area, and a new client interface.
What were your goals for this project?
We set out to improve our system’s client interface and provide expanded functionality.
How did you select this vendor?
I’d worked with HUSPI on several previous projects and knew they had significant experience with FinTech firms.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They developed three different solutions for us: a backend based on the Rest API with a B2B payment gateway, a custom Angular web application, and a B2B client personal area built with Angular and a Kendo UI Grid widget.
What was the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, a technology architect, two backend developers, and two frontend developers.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
User engagement has increased by more than 30%, and transactions have doubled.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used a Scrum methodology with two-week iterations and communicated over Skype and Jira. They were even willing to work in our office per our request during the final stage of the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their responsible approach stood out to us, as did their FinTech and frontend development experience (especially in Angular).
Are there any areas for improvement?
My only suggestion would be to hire more resources.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the CTO of Reha-Stim Medtec AG. We develop scientifically well-founded rehabilitation devices that assist therapists in their daily work. In 2017, we merged our activities with YouRehab. We remain committed to developing new therapy assisting devices to support doctors and therapists and help patients regain their ability to move.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUSPI?
Our first joint product is a VR-based arm and finger training system. HUSPI was hired to enhance the existing software with a reporting system and introduce multi-lingual capabilities. They’ve also been tasked with developing a migration utility to move data from one to release to the next.
What were your goals for this project?
Our initial goal was to develop a reporting system, and the second was to speed up our in-house development with additional Unity resources.
How did you select this vendor?
The reporting system development was a sort of test project. Due to high satisfaction, we’ve agreed to additional work packages.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The reporting system was built with Xamarin and works with training data stored in a MySQL database. Currently, they’re enhancing our basic game system, which is purely developed in Unity using C#. They’re also fixing existing bugs throughout the system.
What was the team composition?
We work with one full-time resource and add additional resources when necessary.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
They’ve sped up the development process and improved the quality of existing parts of the software.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We mainly manage the project using Jira and Skype. Occasionally, we’ll travel to Kiev and visit them in-person to discuss details.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their responsiveness to requests we’ve made during the project is outstanding, as are the lengths they’ve gone to to deliver on time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, not that I’m aware of.
The app is now available for both the Play Store and Apple Store. HUSPI delivered a product with a convenient content management admin panel and functional interactive elements. End users gave positive feedback about the product.
