WE ARE HUMANS
We are humans, we act like humans, and we think like humans. And we call out anyone who does the opposite.
Collaboration is one of our core values. We collaborate with our clients for the best outcomes as a team.
You’ll get no buzz words here, or techno-jargon. We shoot straight and deliver projects which really work.
WE THRIVE ON PROBLEMS
Without problems, humans would be bored. We’re genetically engineered to seek out a better way of living, of doing business, or experiencing the world around us.
We believe that technology can immeasurably improve a business, and solve many problems which exist. We’re critical thinkers, creatives and planners with a deep understanding of humans.
WE MAKE CHANGE
Change is a natural part of human life. Without change we’d all still be living in caves painting the walls with ochre. We embrace change, but only one which has a reason.
NO COOKIE CUTTERS
Every project we engage with is unique, from the very first meeting with our prospective customer through every stage of the process. We deliver technology which is based on the unique needs of our customers’ business to enhance.
WE’RE NOT “ORDER-TAKERS”
We ask why. We don’t just fill out a checklist. We question, we collaborate. Every business is different, and we strive to find the perfect marriage between our technology and the business we design it for.

WordPress Web Dev for Electronic Consumer Goods Company
"Human Pixel were extremely fluid with us, very flexible and accommodating of our developing needs."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Digital Producer at Panasonic Australia, we sell electronic Consumer Goods across a range of B2C and B2B categories.
For what projects/services did your company hire Human Pixel Pty Ltd, and what were your goals?
We had been given a direction by global head office to launch a new VIP/Loyalty program to align with one of our key product categories, however, we had to undertake all aspects of the program development and website build locally.
How did you select Human Pixel Pty Ltd and what were the deciding factors?
We already had an web development agency on retainer in an ongoing basis for maintenance/remedial tasks, so for this project we consulted and got a quote from them, but also searched online and got word of mouth referrals which we short-listed and requested two additional quotes from - Human Pixel was one of these.
Ultimately, the solution proposed, the cost given, and the time taken to answer any and all of our questions before proceeding, gave us confidence in signing with Human Pixel.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The project was a brand new website built on WordPress with the UX Builder interface. The website required a member login area, integration with our Salesforce instance and a payment gateway. A multi-step member application form was built on the FE, which automatically validates an applicants eligibility into the program, based on values we can set within a separate Code Ignitor CMS.
3There is also a promotions module built, so that we can offer membership promotional pricing/coupons. Additionally, there are also multiple automated email notifications built, triggered to send to members/us/program partners at the relevant touchpoint.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We were in regular contact with the Project Director and Project Assistant, as well as QA Tester. Of course, there were also the Development Team in the background which we had some contact with when needed, and also Design staff assistance when needed - we were supposed to be supplying designs, but when we realised it was probably too much to handle in-house, Human Pixel helped out.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We weren’t only launching a new website, we were launching a whole new program offering for one of our customer verticals and were still working through business processes as well as the actual program offering, while defining requirements and functionality for the website. Human Pixel did a fantastic job of not only understanding our needs, but suggesting and implementing functionality on the site specifically aimed at reducing manual business processes that would be needed to operate the program on an ongoing basis.
Not only did their suggestions and expertise benefit us, we also have a much more streamlined website that better serves our customers needs. We have had very positive feedback from our global head office who have suggested that our site for the Australian program is better than other already launched global markets so far.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We had a sprint schedule planned out right from project kick-off, and whilst the schedule wasn't able to be kept to for various reasons (including delays from us the client), regular WIP meetings were kept to as necessary. For UAT, we used Zoho to raise and track bugs and communicate on tasks remaining.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Human Pixel were extremely fluid with us, very flexible and accommodating of our developing needs as the entire program came together. Of course, we had tried to think of everything beforehand, but ultimately as this was an entirely new offering to our customers, a new business or revenue stream basically, there were numerous questions and hurdles we were able to work through together along the way as things arose.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
As if did for many businesses, Covid threw a spanner in the works for them in terms of staffing and working from home arrangements, etc, but they were transparent about this and any time that may have been lost was well and truly made up for later. I don't believe this could have been foreseen or avoided.

Custom Zoho CRM System for Property Developer

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
Integra is Regional Victoria's largest property developer, creating large scale communities and property subdivisions across the state. My role as Marketing Coordinator involves managing the CRM system used by our sales team.
For what projects/services did your company hire Human Pixel Pty Ltd, and what were your goals?
We engaged Human Pixel to develop a custom CRM system with Zoho that catered to our specific requirements. Whilst already using Zoho CRM, the system we had was not set up correctly and had been limping along for around 5 years which was workable for some time.
However, a large increase in sales and enquiry over the last 12 months saw the need to improve the system to operate as it should assisting with the workload and cutting data entry and reporting time.
How did you select Human Pixel Pty Ltd and what were the deciding factors?
We enquired with a number of developers and Human Pixel stood out to us due to the fact that they were the most approachable and willing to explain the process in a way that we could all understand. Also, the fact that they were the only company we spoke to who we felt would happily support us after the completion of the development, which they absolutely have.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The scope of work was to develop a custom CRM solution within Zogo CRM that catered to our sales process and allowed the sales team to seamlessly follow the process in terms of data entry, the flow of the sale and reporting.
Along with the CRM, we have now been able to integrate marketing and communication assets and systems into this and Human Pixel have also developed a portal for purchasers and contractors to keep up to date with the progress of construction without the need to email and/or phone us.
Human Pixel have a very well thought out process which begins with a workshop so they can understand our requirements and many meetings throughout the process so you certainly feel part of it and are in the loop with everything that is going on the whole time.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were 5 people who we dealt with and many others behind the scenes working on the project.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have successfully transferred from our old system to the new system, we still have some work to do to get it up and running internally but Human Pixel remains available and ready to help if we run into any issues or tweaks to the system. They are extremely quick to respond which has allowed us to continue business as usual whilst pushing the boundaries to work out how it will best work for us.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
The project timeline was clearly communicated from the very beginning so we knew exactly what to expect throughout. The contacts were also clearly communicated so we knew who to contact during the process with questions etc. Everything happened as expected and was completed on time, we are absolutely rapt with how everything went.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The willingness to explain things clearly and answer any questions we had, which was highly reassuring considering our lack of understanding in this area.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really, everything went exceptionally!

Custom Software Dev for Language Service Provider
"I’ve been very satisfied with how quickly they address my needs."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of a language service provider based in Australia. We provide translations and interpretation services as well as language technology to both the public and private sectors.
What challenge were you trying to address with Human Pixel Pty Ltd?
Delivering translation can be challenging and time-consuming for a smaller work package, as it’s less straightforward than very large documents. There is sometimes a minimum charge involved, too, which isn’t great for the client.
Because of this, we wanted a platform to fully automate the workflow for those small jobs to avoid the pain of project management. This would also help us afford to offer more competitive prices without minimum charges to the client.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Human Pixel developed the custom software using AWS for hosting. We’re now in the client testing phase of the project with them.
What is the team composition?
We’re in contact with the CTO and 5–6 developers work on the project. There are two account managers, too.
How did you come to work with Human Pixel Pty Ltd?
We did our due diligence in selecting a vendor. We looked at a few companies and Human Pixels understood our requirements very well. They were capable of quickly proposing some solutions, which have ended up being good. The fact that they’re located in Australia was an important part of choosing them; we were talking to other companies overseas but we wanted someone in the same time zone for ongoing support.
I had contacted them a while ago after finding them on Google regarding another project that I didn’t go ahead with, so when I had this new project, I decided to contact them again because they left a good impression.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $27,000 AUD (approximately $20,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2020 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m very happy with their work, so far. The team has been pretty excited about it, too. Now we’re entering the testing phase and I’ve invited some colleagues to do testing with it, as well.
How did Human Pixel Pty Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
I’ve been managing the project mainly and we have regular meetings every 3–4 weeks on Zoom with their CTO. We also use email. We go through the bugs together but we also have a bug tracking platform where I test, submit bugs and take screenshots.
From there, the development team receives it and I get status updates on when it’s ready to be tested again. Then, I can then mark the bug as resolved in the tracking platform.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best part of working with them has been the testing phase. When they delivered the first product for testing, it was a good start but didn’t quite meet my expectations.
I’ve been very satisfied with how quickly they address my needs in those cases. I feel like I have a team of five full-time developers working for me who address the bugs very quickly and efficiently.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Once the platform is ready, they offer to host it on their AWS server and we could pay a monthly fee for support. However, we likely want to host the platform on our own server, in which case they only give three months of support, and then we have to pay for more. It would be better if they could give support even though it’s on our server.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have clear communication with them and be clear about what you want. Be very thorough. The more details you provide, the more the developer can understand what you’re looking for. It’s valuable to take time to prepare.

What were your goals for this project?

How did you select this vendor?
Mutual Connection through our founder
Describe the project in detail.
When we began the 2hr workshop Adam was great in setting the mood and tempo as well as creating a space for open and honest interactions.
He also didn't hesitate to call out the challenging areas for discussion and also provided some insights into how things could be enhanced, removed and added to improve efficiency within our business processes.
What was the team composition?

They created a safe and comfortable environment for us to interact openly, honestly and effectively
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Experience. I was impressed by their ability to convey effectively how to improve our existing processes.

None at this point, it was an eye-opening experience for our team and truly helped with allowing our management team to see things from other perspectives.

Chatbot Dev for Workforce Software Firm
“They always provided white glove service and had a very hands-on approach.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I worked with them at a previous position with Equifax Australasia Workflow Solutions. We were a police and background checking company prior to our acquisition by Equifax.
What challenge were you trying to address with Human Pixel Pty Ltd?
They joined us to develop and maintain our website. We then engaged them to build and implement new chatbot and AI functionality.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We worked together to create end-to-end decision trees and implement chatbot functionality into our site. They developed a web portal that gave us control over new bot development. They trained us to become self-sufficient and able to create our own channels and decision trees in the future. That was a big draw for us, since our business is constantly changing. Once we had everything in place, we could train the AI to run on its own, without a live user present.
They had all the code ready for us to implement into the platform. As they maintained multiple websites and streams, they found ways to include various components into each page. We made sure their code wouldn’t affect our existing colors or schematics and amalgamated their work into our existing frameworks. The code was high-quality, and they resolved any issues as they arose.
What is the team composition?
We worked very closely with Adam (Global Head of Projects, Human Pixel Pty Ltd), a project manager, and a BA.
How did you come to work with Human Pixel Pty Ltd?
The initial contact with them predated my time with the company. They were already maintaining our website through our previous marketing coordinator. We liked working with them, so approached them to build out our chat functionality.
How much have you invested with them?
The chat development equates to about $30,000 USD, and the website development put the whole project within a $50,000–$100,000 range.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started around April 2016 and is ongoing. They were still developing chat functionality and were considering other financial services and credit reporting when I left the company at the end of 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We saw significant positive impacts. After the initial release of the first chat system in 2017, we saw a 40% reduction in phone calls, which condensed the time we spent supporting those calls. We sustained a high level of data processing, and as we developed the AI further, about 50% of user questions could bypass the live support team and be answered by a bot.
How did Human Pixel Pty Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
I was in regular contact with the team throughout the process. They always provided sufficient documentation, and were on hand to clarify anything. There was a support platform for tracking issues or bugs, and we could ask questions through that channel as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their turnaround time is very impressive. They deliver high-quality code efficiently, and are much better than other agencies of their size. They always provided white glove service and had a very hands-on approach.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only improvement might be a more responsive logging protocol for issues. Other than that, we’ve had a very positive experience. I don’t have any real critique of their methods.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Maintain constant contact with them and be ready to move quickly. It’s in your best interest to be proactive and to communicate regularly with them.

Dev Partnership for Digital Services Firm
"We knew they could deliver on what they were saying."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing director of a B2B digital services company. We provide internet and communications, business process support, marketing, web design, hosting, and management.
What challenge were you trying to address with Human Pixel?
We wanted them to fully automate our internal processes. They work with Zoho Office Suite, and we use that for our tech stack.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We engaged with Human Pixel to centralize digital infrastructure for our clients. That’s grown into other projects, such as building bespoke systems for internal use, and an e-commerce platform that integrates all our sales systems. We’re integrating different APIs into one CMS, along with services we sell, and integrating that into our accounting CRM and project management system. Future goals include automating our web development so we can sell custom-made sites.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 6–7 people. Our main point of contact is Adam (Global Head of Projects, Human Pixel).
How did you come to work with Human Pixel?
I found them through a Google search.
How much have you invested with them?
We have a total budget of $50,000 for bespoke e-commerce and Zoho automation. They work in sprints of about two weeks for about $10,500 each.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in June 2018 and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I have no specific hard metrics, but they’ve streamlined a lot of our business systems and improved efficiency. They’ve hit the mark on everything we were looking for.
How did Human Pixel perform from a project management standpoint?
Many of their communication procedures mimicked what we were trying to build. They’re automated, whether email sequences around the proposal stages or flagging for phone calls. It’s been great. They’re always up to date with what’s going on with our project, who’s on our team, and what we’re expecting.
What did you find most impressive about them?
After trying to engage with other vendors in the past, we appreciated Human Pixel’s understanding of the systems we build. We knew they could deliver on what they were saying. They introduced a level of knowledge and professionalism that was a weak point of ours, and it’s propped up our business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we’re satisfied with everything so far.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should make sure the provider’s model fits what they’re looking for, whether they’re product- or price-driven. If they’re upfront with Human Pixel, the team will build out a scope that makes sense for the business.
