ExtensisHR
Extensis provides expert PEO and HRO solutions that adapt to their clients’ needs. They simplify the process and ensure these clients get the best service and benefits they deserve.
The Objective.
Extensis’ main goal for their website was to update their brand to be more accessible while maintaining the professional demeanor they are known for. Naturally, they were looking for better conversions and lead generation, but Extensis was also looking to improve their navigation and to simplify users’ ability to quickly obtain the information they’re looking for.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Finding the Right Balance.
One significant challenge for Extensis was that they wanted to modernize their website with a friendlier approach while still maintaining the crucial “trust” factor that their clients expect. An overly flashy design might catch the eye, but might alienate people who are looking to put such an integral part of their business into Extensis’ hands.
Improving Introductions.
Another pain point that Extensis faced was that they have a lot of information to share; PEO and HRO are complex services with sometimes equally complex solutions. Their new site needed to educate users with all of this information without immediately overwhelming them.

Luseta Beauty
Luseta Beauty provides customers with quality beauty products at a low cost. They believe in all natural products with a salon quality level.
The Objective.
Luseta Beauty was looking to revamp their website with a more consistent and mature visual design, improve overall website performance, and allow for customers to more easily subscribe to products.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Visually Differentiation.
The beauty space is crowded, and as a result, brands oftentimes struggle to differentiate. It was imperative that we created a visual design with character, but still felt clean and in line with other premium beauty websites.
Maintaining Lightening Speed.
Eccommerce websites tend to have a lot of bloat, and Luseta's conversion rates were suffering because of it. We needed to deliver a dynamic experience but keep page load times at a bare minimum.

ARM Creative
ARM Creative is a company that creates marketing campaigns. They use a mixture of video and static images to offer creative production strategy to their clients.
The Objective.
The goal of ARM Creative’s website is to better communicate and display what they do for their clients. They wanted a website that was professional and could help them acquire more clients.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Photos, Videos, & Graphics - Oh my!
ARM Creative had a ton of great content to use for their website, it was just a matter of where to use all of the content! They also needed help hosting their video content in order to not slow down their website. We included a Content Delivery Network (CDN) in order to help speed up the load time of their video content.
Showcasing ARM Creative.
They wanted a website that was professional and that could grow with them as their company grows. They also wanted to be able to showcase their abilities in what they do for their clients. We needed to create a portfolio design that was dynamic, flexible, and easy-to-maintain for the long haul.

BetterCloud
BetterCloud is a SaaS product that helps other companies with their own SaaS management. They help to pinpoint what companies are currently using for their SaaS products and then help them realize where they could better be efficient in their SaaS management.
The Objective.
BetterCloud needed help in consolidating their old website and to help with their own navigation management. We helped to streamline the process and flow of their website by creating various funnel paths throughout their website in order to get to their various products.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Flexibility to Grow.
They needed a website that was flexible enough to grow and change overtime as their company would grow and change overtime. The company also wanted to find a balance between a fun design while still having that option to grow and change in terms of design layout.
Besting the Competition.
BetterCloud was also looking for an update to their company’s image. Their company is smaller in comparison to their competitors so they were looking for a website that positioned them shoulder to shoulder with the ‘big guys’.

Cernucci
Cernucci is an urban jewelry brand that is inspired by London's hip-hop fashion trends. The company wants to give its customers a chance to express themselves through their fashion choices.
The Objective.
The goal was to create a website that Cernucci could use to highlight their brand and engage with their target market. They also wanted their website to be simplified in their navigation to make finding products easier on their customers.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Simplifying Pages.
In order to increase user experience and engagement, Cernucci’s multiple website pages needed to be consolidated in order to make finding key information easier to find. This made things more accessible and the navigation path simplified.
Amping Up Drops.
Due to the nature of Cernucci’s business model, they have a lot of limited addition drops of products. We needed to create an effective way to easily add these to the site and build up hype around them.

Gleamin
Gleamin uses potent superfoods to enhance natural beauty and empower life. Their clean products are carefully formulated to invigorate a global community with a new-found sense of freedom.
The Objective.
Gleamin’s primary objective was to find a digital agency partner that could help them improve the visual consistency of their store, provide measurable improvements for sales, and allow them to have better content management control throughout their store
Unique Problems to Solve.
Balancing Aesthetics & Conversions.
Prior to engaging with Gleamin for this redesign, our Grow team helped them achieve an average conversion rate >5%. It was critical that we didn’t sacrifice these gains while re-imagining their website’s interface and user experience.
Improving Subscription Product Rates.
While conversion rates for traditional purchases were high, conversions for subscriptions were lower than the site average. We needed to figure out a way to make this process more attractive to the customer.

With a community of nearly 50,000 members, SurePoint continues to transform the legal industry by enabling law firms to unlock higher performance by freeing lawyers of administrative burdens so they can spend far more time focusing on their clients and their practice.
The Objective.
Surepoint (Formerly Rippe & Kingston) approached us on the cusp of their re-branding. They started off as a pure service provider over 20 years ago, and since, had developed sophisticated technology to help Law Offices & Firms keep track of their operations and documents in a safe and secure way.
Our job was to help guide them through this process and establish and look and feel more aligned with their FinTech future vs their service provider past.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Balancing technical prowess
and service.
Surepoint wanted to appear as more of a tech-focused company but was concerned about diluting their focus on service-a key differentiator for them and why they became successful in the first place.
Making complex product solutions seem simple.
Surepoint's software solves a number of technical and operational challenges for law offices. It was paramount that we highlighted the key things their potential customers really cared about in a clear and concise way.

VRC
VRC is a record and information management company that specializes in protecting other companies’ vital records. From walls of physical records to digitally recorded assets, VRC ensures that every piece of information a company produces is organized, accounted for, and protected.
The Objective.
VRC was known for doing an amazing job with physical record storage, but was less known for its digital offerings. We needed to not only make potential customers more aware of this prowess, but also make sure they looked like a digital company.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Visually Differentiation.
Record and information management, kind of a hard service to visually display potential clients but is something that makes VRC stand out from their competitors. We needed to find creative solutions to display VRC’s services to their customers which is where the various uses of illustrations come into play.
Ease of Ownership.
In order for VRC to easily update information we provided an easy to use system for managing pages throughout their website. This ensures that non-technical users can edit existing, or create new landing pages in a manner of minutes.

HeForShe
A bi-directional Salesforce integration.HeForShe, a global campaign sponsored by the United Nations is an invitation for men and people of all genders to stand in solidarity with women to create a bold, visible, and united force for gender equality. The men of HeForShe aren’t on the sidelines. They’re working with women and with each other to build businesses, raise families, and give back to their communities.
The Objective.
HeForShe was launching their first global conference to kick-off the next leg their campaign and required a website that would be able to keep up with a high-influx of website traffic, effectively communicate the campaign, and was geared towards converting visitors into champions of the cause.
Unique Problems to Solve.
A bi-directional Salesforce integration.
HeForShe wanted to be able to show commitments to the cause at a global scale in near-real-time. This required us to create a bi-directional integration with Salesforce that both allowed them to organize commitments from an admin perspective in Salesforce and pull the data back onto the site for graphs.
Getting 2M+ commitments.
At the time of the project, the cause had collected 750,000 commitments. It was a great start but they wanted more traction and set a hard goal of 2M commitments. It was imperative that the website communicated the value of the cause and made it as easy as possible for people to pledge their commitment.

Stone Source
Stone Source is a design-driven company that has been offering architects, designers, and homeowners a vast range of high-quality natural stone, tile, and ceramic products for 30 years.
The Objective.
Founded in 1988, Stone Source had enjoyed significant growth over the past three decades. With 10 showrooms across the United States and around 200 employees, they have effectively become a cornerstone of their industry.
However, while they weren’t struggling, the Stone Source team was well aware of the shortcomings of their old website. It did little to reflect the value of their high-end products, and as such, it offered them little in terms of lead generation or new business.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Simplifying product management.
Stone Source's way of managing their product library was comprised of a series of inconsistent spreadsheets. Not ideal. We helped them create a consistent system for organizing product data and automated the process of updating these products on the site.
Improving product display.
Stone Source's product library is huge. Between natural stone products, engineered porcelain tiles, and everything in between they needed a product library that could be flexible, but still consistent in it's display of products.

Centivo
Centivo is a new type of health plan that allows self-funded employers and clinicians to join forces and deliver high quality, affordable healthcare to their employees.
The Objective.
Reliable, high-quality healthcare is crushingly expensive. But the high cost doesn't imply a high quality of service. Americans overpay for health care that underdelivers.
We partnered with Centivo to deliver a friendly digital experience that explains, to their target audience, how they combat inflated premiums and plans.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Centivo's Not a Plan or a Provider – They're Something New.
Centivo isn't a healthcare plan or provider. They're also not a traditional PEO. Their model of operation is really unique, so we were explaining what they are and their benefit to their audience that hadn't engaged with a similar type of company before.
Communicating Effectively with Distinctly Different Audiences.
Centivo serves employers, employees, and providers directly. Not only did we have to make it extremely obvious that they served these audiences, but we also needed to capture the unique benefits for each while still ensuring the overall digital experience was consistent.

Tripleseat
Tripleseat is an easy-to-use sales and event management platform for restaurants, hotels, and unique/special venues that will increase your bookings and remove the stress of the planning process. We redesigned their WordPress website to better communicate their USP and to increase conversions.
The Objective.
Tripleseat wanted a website that better communicated their products' value to potential customers and had a more premium user experience.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Navigation Woes.
Tripleseat’s original website was difficult for users to navigate to information that would be specific and pertain to them as well as stayed on the Tripleseat website instead of taking users to external pages. This made the flow information difficult for potential customers to find out what Tripleseat does best.
A Design Refresh.
They also needed a design refresh; their previous website was dated and did not highlight the company as best as possible. Some of the images used were pixelated making it difficult for potential customers to see Tripleseat’s services.

A+ Products
A+ Products manufactures and designs clasps that stand up to the demands of performance brands. Every buckle, handle, snap, and loop is sold by A+ Products to manufacturers across many industries.
The Objective.
A+ Products, traditionally a wholesaler, needed a solution for lower-quantity sales. By effectively being able to sell through their website, they’d be able to free up their sales team’s time to focus on larger quantity orders.
Make no mistake though, A+ Products is still firmly a B2B brand, and the website also needed to clearly represent that.
Unique Problems to Solve.
B2B Positioning.
Oftentimes A+ Products were being contacted for one off products directly from consumers, rather than from other manufacturing companies. This was frustrating and because of this A+ Products wanted to make sure their website communicated exactly what they do and who their target market would be.
Data Migration.
A+ Products needed a website that could showcase their extensive product catalogue. We saw that Shopify would allow A+ Products to display their hundreds of products easier than their previous WordPress website. A Shopify ecommerce store would better facilitate switching products out and adding new products.

Caldera Lab
Caldera Lab is a beauty company that focuses on men’s high performance skin care as well as products that are pure with their ingredients that are also sustainable.
The Objective.
Since launching their product in 2019 Caldera has had several different teams work both on their website and marketing.
Over this period of time, fragments both with the front-end design and back-end setup had begun to form, making it more difficult for their internal marketing team to manage, and impeding conversions.
We needed to both improve their front-end experience while also making their Shopify website easier to maintain.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Improving Their Existing Site.
Entering a website you didn’t build with the intention of improving it is always a difficult task. With limited formal documentation, we needed to understand how existing features were set up and make improvements in a short time. Then, make all of this easy for Caldera Lab to do themselves in the future. Such were our goals for their website redesign project.
Increasing Their Conversion Rate.
Caldera Lab wanted to find a way of increasing their conversion rates and in turn their sales. To do this, they needed an ecommerce website that could handle capabilities that updated sales percentages of various products and promotions, as well as a skin care quiz that would suggest products for customers to purchase.

Aavrani
Aavrani is a beauty brand focusing on ayurvedic or the ritual process of beauty and self-care. Due to this, each of their products are steps within a ritual beauty process that tells a story that invites Aavrani’s customers to participate in self-care.
The Objective.
Aavrani needed an ecommerce website design that would be able to tell their story, the stories and ritual processes of their products, and make a connection with their target audience. In order to achieve their goals we needed to help them design a website that made their Shopify store accessible to their audience.
Unique Problems to Solve.
SEO Ranking.
Due to the original setup of Aavrani’s website, they were not able to rank very high via SEO as many of the product pages were missing key SEO information that would help potential customers find them. We solved this problem by adding the necessary keywords to boost performance within various search engines. This allowed for their products to be easily found by potential customers and Aavrani to see an increase in sales.
Telling a Story.
Each product has a ritual and story behind them. Previously the stories of each product were hidden and difficult for customers to access so we worked to improve the product page design and draw more attention and focus to that particular copy as part of end user experience design.

Sun King
Sun King, or originally known as Greenlight, sells solar power items such as self-sustaining lighting and TVs at a lower cost to third world countries.
The Objective.
Sun King was rapidly scaling up operations to better serve its customers. We needed to improve their WordPress website design; specifically, their communication, positioning, and cohesiveness of user experience ahead of a key investment round.
Unique Problems to Solve.
Page Speed and User Experience.
Their target audience are customers who have limited access to a consistent stream of electrical energy or a power source. Due to this, it was important for us to make sure that Sun King’s website loaded at a quick speed and only the most important information and images were kept minimalistic.
Targeting Several Audiences.
Sun King’s website needed to speak to both customers and investors. For customers, we needed to clearly present the benefits of the products and make purchasing them super simple. For investors, we needed to sell the bigger picture and long-term goals of the company.

Buechel Stone – B2B, Ecommerce
Quality Set In Stone
You might not expect a stone quarry to push the envelope when it comes to its brand. Then again, you might not expect a stone quarry to pioneer industry-leading initiatives in sustainability and product innovation — we’re talking about stone, after all: how much could it be improved? Buechel Stone isn’t just a quarry, though, so their website couldn’t just be a website.
They didn’t ask for a portfolio, so we built them a Brag Book. They don’t run e-commerce, so we built them a cart system that connects customers with trusted dealers. And if you’re looking for help, they didn’t want to just send you to a contact form or a 1-800 number, so we built a resource center where they could share all of their CAD drawings, 3-D prototypes, and installation tutorials so architects, contractors, consultants, and even adventurous DIYers can begin designing their projects.

AgAmerica
The Objective.
AgAmerica is one of the nation’s premier agricultural land lenders, offering a spectrum of flexible loan solutions that support long-term success for farmers, ranchers, and landowners.. Known for their excellent customer service and flexible financing, they remain at the forefront of technology in their space.
AgAmerica’s website redesign came at a time when society was compelled to lean on technology more than ever before. Their website served as one of the strongest sources for lead generation. But within just a few years their vision for the brand and the customers they serve, outgrew the site and they knew it was time to build a digital space that could serve the greater needs of the agricultural community.
Furthermore, they sought to equip their customers with valuable resources through a central digital resource hub containing articles, whitepapers, and tools that could empower their customers to make stronger financial decisions in their day-to-day operations.
Unique Problems to Solve.
A Sprawling Resource Library.
In recent years AgAmerica had invested a ton of time and effort into bolstering its content. Long form articles, videos, and whitepapers had been created covering dozens of important topics. We needed to create a rich resources section that could handle all of it, deliver a consistent experience, and make content discovery simple.
Amping Up The Experience, But Keeping it Professional.
AgAmerica had a vision which included motion, grit, and dynamic storytelling and we were thrilled because that’s where we thrive. We needed to balance these aspects of the design against what one would expect from an established financial institution.

Web Design & Dev for Managed Cloud & IT Services Company
"The team delivered a design that we loved, and that has garnered rave reviews internally."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of digital marketing at a managed cloud and IT services company.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
We had an old website that needed a visual and code refresh. The old site had a lot of technical debt, with new code written on top of old code, and we wanted to start fresh with a clean code base. Additionally, the site was showing lagging performance metrics, so it was time to start over.
What was the scope of their involvement?
HUEMOR rebuilt our website from scratch. They created the site on WordPress and built a lot of custom modules. We started from ground zero on design; the team began by building an outline of the new site. Together, we talked through what we wanted to accomplish with each page and the broad strokes of headings on our services pages. We told them how our company works and the nuts and bolts of our services.
Our requirements included a way to answer FAQs on each of the service pages and optimization of all our pages for conversion so that people could easily get to us and begin a conversation. Using that information, HUEMOR created template-level outlines for each page, which they used to start designing. Then, they presented us with wireframes, and we had a chance to go back and forth with them. We spent a lot of time tweaking those wireframes to ensure we got where we wanted to be.
After the wireframes were approved, the team started building modules and coding the whole site. We did the SEO side of things, including keyword research and copywriting. When HUEMOR was ready, we delivered the copy and images to them, and they handled the content injection process. From there, they delivered the final pages to us for QA and user acceptance testing. They dealt with the fixes that we needed and made the site live for us.
When it comes to functionality, since we're a B2B company, we wanted to make sure that our users were able to find our services and the business problems we solve. We also have a blog we wanted to make sure people could easily find. Additionally, our resource center includes fact sheets of specific products, webinars we've done in the past, and whitepapers that we've sponsored or published ourselves. The site also has company information, a careers page, and other resource guides.
Currently, the HUEMOR team provides us with site maintenance, which we've contracted for the next year. When other small projects pop up, they help us as well.
What is the team composition?
We've primarily interfaced with a project manager. In the beginning, we worked with a project manager and a designer, and a few additional people were on calls. When we got into coding, we started working only with the project manager. Another project manager got involved when we were closer to the site launch, and we had more direct contact with developers and the people doing the content injection.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
We found them on Clutch while looking for web developers. Although we interviewed three other vendors, the decision to go with HUEMOR was unanimous after our last call with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent $75,000 with them, not counting the ongoing support.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2021, and the site launched in June 2022. Since they're doing maintenance, our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
With just one month of data, we've seen about a 6% increase in clicks and a 22% increase in impressions on our website.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a change of project managers in the middle of development when our initial PM changed jobs. The transition to the new PM could have been smoother. Our project was large and complex; it involved not only building the new site, but also migrating blog content and resources from the old site. Even though we had to push a bit to get everything done and our deadline slipped by a week, we ultimately succeeded. HUEMOR brought in a more senior manager to assist when they saw that the timeline was slipping, so I give them credit for recognizing the issue.
HUEMOR uses Asana for project management and communication during the build. We found it to be a very effective way to stay informed and on top of things. During user acceptance testing, we would put comments directly into Asana, and the developers could ask questions if they had any. We also use Google Meet and email to communicate. Additionally, they use InVision as one of their tools to collaborate on the wireframes.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I'm impressed with the quality of HUEMOR's design (visually and from an information architecture standpoint) and the thought they've put into the project to deliver something that meets our objectives. When we started, we wanted to ensure we had features on our pages to engage with our visitors, and make it easy for them to find the info they are looking for as well as to engage with us. The team delivered a design that we loved, and that has garnered rave reviews internally.
We're very happy with the vision they took from the parameters we gave them. Moreover, the team is flexible and easy to work with. They understood our requirements and that we wanted to have control of the content side; that was never an issue on their side. HUEMOR has met us where we are, and they're really good at what they do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only blip we've had was the transition between project managers. However, once they identified the issue on their side, they acted quickly and decisively to allay our concerns and keep the project on track.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Something that helps them is knowing your business from the very start. Don't be afraid to talk about the things that are important to you and your executive team. HUEMOR will provide best practices and make recommendations; they're really good at helping you navigate questions you might not have thought through.

Web Overhaul for Event Management Platform
"They had a number of teams who had different expertise and could advise us on different areas."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CMO of an Event Hospitality Software company based in Concord, MA
For what projects/services did your company hire HUEMOR?
Our website needed a complete overhaul of both design and functionality. It hadn't been updated in several years to accurately reflect our brand and multiple product offerings.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked at 3 or 4 different agencies and thought that Huemor had the most in-house capabilities to get the project done.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The initial phase of the project was dedicated to the discovery and then we focused on the design and flow of what the website would look like. We met weekly to go over any issues or new elements.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The number of Huemor's team members varied over the course of the project depending on where we were with it. We always had our project manager and then 2-3 additional members.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are really happy with the outcome. We have had a few hiccups on getting the website live but that was with the server, not the agency. We are now continuing our relationship with ongoing help with the website as well as new projects.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The project manager, Caleb, was easy to work with and always wanted to resolve any issues that came up. They used Asana and were quick to reply.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They had a number of teams who had different expertise and could advise us on different areas.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Things could always move a little quicker and there were some setbacks due to the pandemic but overall great experience.

SEO, Web & E-Commerce Dev for Components Distributor
"They had the skill sets, knowledge, and refined processes that we needed for the project."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
We are an importer and distributer of a variety of components that are sold and marketed to US companies. We have a very wide variety of products, services and industries serviced. I am in charge of all sales, marketing and revenue driving activities and strategies at our company
For what projects/services did your company hire HUEMOR, and what were your goals?
Our old website was terribly outdated and did not clearly communicate our products and services. Our goals with Huemor were ambitious and challenging considering our starting point and business model. We wanted to:
- Develop a corporate site that clearly communicated our company, products and services.
- We wanted to build out a B2B e-commerce store for 500+ items that will be sold through our site to a determined segment of our customer base.
- SEO - our old site gave us very little SEO or ability to increase SEO
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We need our goals were ambitious and challenging so we spent months in the vendor qualification process. We spoke with many competitors, measured clutch reviews and conducted 3X referral calls with past clients. The final stage was vendor cultural fit with our company. Huemor was #1 in each category we evaluated which is why we nominated them as our vendor
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Many of the processes used by Huemor are above my ability to describe, which is exactly why we selected them as our vendor. They had the skill sets, knowledge, and refined processes that we needed for the project. I can say their discovery process was very comprehensive and they really took the time to understand our company, our culture, our customers and our expectations. Weekly meetings insured we were on track and allowed us to consistently offer input as the site developed.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Mike & Jeff (owners) and Caleb (PM) were our higher level contacts and among the most professional and knowledgeable vendors I have ever worked with. We worked with many other Huemor employees that were part of the build team and all had specific areas of expertise - all team members at Huemor are top tier in their professional fields.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Huemor exceeded our expectations on all deliverables and actually helped us clarify our messaging and value add through their highly productive discovery process.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We used Ansana and Invision - both were great for project management.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The amount of time, effort, and energy they put into the discovery process and gaining a true understanding of our business was impressive. I directly attribute this to the quality result of our build,
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

SEO, Web Dev & Redesign for Full-Service Marketing Agency
"What really sets HUEMOR apart is their ability to match us in terms of culture and values."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
ARM Creative is a full-service marketing agency. I’m the president and CEO.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
We wanted to portray our services more accurately and effectively brand our business through our website, which is why we hired HUEMOR.
What was the scope of their involvement?
HUEMOR did everything from top to bottom: web development, coding, design, layout, building, and testing. They used InVision and Space Station. We provided some visual elements for the design but their team did the research and came up with several layouts.
HUEMOR is currently doing on-site SEO for us as well. They plan to provide security and maintenance services along with it next year.
What is the team composition?
We’re regularly working with three people: a project manager, a designer, and a website developer.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
We found HUEMOR through an organic online search. We looked at a lot of different companies, including those that we had worked with in the past, but what ultimately made us choose them was the fact that their culture was similar to ours. They also had a lot of experience. We liked their case studies and felt that their enthusiasm and way of viewing our site were the best fit for us.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2020. The project was completed in October 2021 but they will provide ongoing maintenance support for the next 12 months.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve just launched the website so don’t yet have any metrics around its performance. We have, however, found it very enjoyable to work with HUEMOR. Our whole team has been happy with the website and we think that it’s a more functional way to display our work and accurately represent our business.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
HUEMOR was very detailed and hands-on throughout the entire process. They met us at every step and were with us every week, especially when the project met some delays.
We managed our tasks through Asana and used InVision to review the designs. We also had weekly check-in meetings with the team to make sure that we were hitting our benchmarks and that the project was on track. Our communication was mostly done through phone, Google Hangouts, Asana, and email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
There are a lot of web developers out there, but what really sets HUEMOR apart is their ability to match us in terms of culture and values. Going into this project, we were looking for a team that could understand us and our goals, and we got that with HUEMOR.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind so far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would definitely recommend that you work with HUEMOR. They’re very involved, attentive to feedback, and unafraid to make changes or start over if you need them to.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Creative Director at BetterCloud. We are a SaaS company that enables IT teams to discover, manage and secure the growing stack of SaaS apps in the digital workplace.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUEMOR?
We were looking to completely revamp our website, which was about 3 years old. We had recently completed a logo redesign but never fully implemented it throughout our website. Besides revamping the frontend to better tell our company narrative, we were also looking to create more flexible templates in the backend to allow room for our website to grow.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I actually discovered Huemor through Clutch. A big reason I decided to move forward with Huemor was after speaking to references and seeing the demo of their site builder.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We kicked off the project with the Discovery Analysis phase of the process, where Huemor took in all our insight and documentation and helped us define our site map, user journey, user flows, and our competition. Next, we moved into the creative phase where we went through the wireframe process, then into moodboards and HiFis of our site. After HiFis were approved, the development phase started while we worked on imagery and creating copy for content injection.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with mainly 3 people on the Huemor side - our project manager, creative director and designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The feedback I received so far from our internal team was all extremely positive. The site is a lot cleaner and shows a very in-depth narrative of our story.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Our project manager at Huemor was amazing. He was extremely attentive and quick to respond. Everything was organized in Asana, which is a tool that we use internally as well so it was seamless communication between both sides.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Something I found most unique about Huemor is how much they care in the success of the project. There was an issue that came up right before launch that our project manager was on top of and continuously working on throughout the night.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing that I can think of. I thought they did an amazing job, so great that I want to continue to work with them.

WordPress Dev & Design for E-Commerce Company
"HUEMOR remained adaptable and rolled with the punches."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of web marketing at an e-commerce company.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
Our old website was feeling a bit dated, so we needed a new one built from scratch. We were also trying to convert more landing page visitors. At the same time, we wanted to educate those visitors better before they go through our conversion funnel. To help us do this, we needed the new site to be on a CMS easily manageable by a non-technical marketing team.
What was the scope of their involvement?
HUEMOR built a website from scratch. In terms of CMS, we decided to go with WordPress, and they helped create the design and write the copy. We have already launched the site, but we're considering continuing our contract with HUEMOR for both maintenance and additional features.
What is the team composition?
We probably worked with less than five teammates, including a project manager, a designer, and a copywriter.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
They were recommended by another vendor who had a great experience working with HUEMOR on their website.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from February–October 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
From a creative perspective, we were extremely happy with their work. HUEMOR nailed the look and feel of the site — it looked modern and professional, and we loved the new aesthetic and style they helped us achieve.
In terms of performance, it's still too early to give metrics. However, we were pleased with the UI design and functionality. They also gave us the ability to manage the site without needing a technical resource, which was our primary goal for the project.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
Overall, HUEMOR was super flexible. We used Asana for project management, which helped us keep track of their progress and allowed the team to assign tasks to us if they needed anything.
They were also accommodating in terms of communication — sometimes we exchanged emails, while other times we would have phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The best thing about them was definitely their flexibility in terms of turnaround time, review process, accepting feedback, and so on. That was a real game changer for us.
At some point, we struggled internally to define our requirements, and we ended up adding to and modifying the original scope. During this time, HUEMOR remained adaptable and rolled with the punches.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I have nothing bad to say about HUEMOR — it was a great experience across the board.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Define your requirements internally and nail them down early on. This will help move things along.

Web Redesign for Business-to-Government SaaS Provider
"We truly loved the final product. The team was great to work with."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
Our company is a business-to-government SaaS provider. We make computer-aided dispatch, records management system, and analytics platforms for public safety organizations. I’m the marketing manager, and I handle many of our external-facing demand generation deliverables, such as our website, events, and advertising.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
We were looking to revamp our site to reflect our products and our target audience better. Additionally, we wanted it to be easier to navigate.
What was the scope of their involvement?
HUEMOR redesigned our existing WordPress site. First, we talked about our goals for the new website and what we were trying to accomplish. We also went through our current site and what we had already done before engaging with them.
Afterward, we moved on to the design phase, which HUEMOR kicked off by building wireframes of the intended design for the site. The team then implemented the final design into the site. It was a collaborative effort involving the HUEMOR team, myself, and our in-house visual designer.
Once we finished up the designs, we worked with the team to create the content for the site. Finally, the HUEMOR team helped us launch the site. They continue to provide support for the site.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four teammates, including web designers, graphic designers, and web developers.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
HUEMOR was referred to us by one of our interns who was familiar with their work. We then reached out to them because they had experience working with WordPress sites.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $60,000–$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from December 2020–August 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Both our audience and internal team remarked that the site looked and functioned a lot better. The design was a lot warmer and more inviting, which was part of our goal. The site is easier to navigate and use, too.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
HUEMOR was pretty great in terms of project management. There were some changes in the project timeline, but they always kept us updated, and it was never unreasonable. We used Asana to manage the project and Google Meet for our weekly calls. We also exchanged some emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We truly loved the final product. The team was great to work with, and we would be happy to continue the relationship.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could’ve been more precise with regards to their estimates for the launch date. It was a bit confusing for us, but that was my only complaint.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re looking to redo your existing site, I recommend them. HUEMOR is excellent on all aspects of building websites and launching them.

Web Design & Dev for HR Outsourcing Company

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior VP of marketing for ExtensisHR, an employer organization. We specialize in supporting small and medium-sized businesses with their HR and health care needs.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
We were looking to rebrand our organization and accelerating our inbound marketing strategy.
What was the scope of their involvement?
HUEMOR scoped an entire website redesign. We did a full discovery call with them to understand our vision and goals for the website. From there, they developed several mood boards. They created the look and feel, developed wireframes, selected a color scheme, and built out the entire site. This included mapping the infrastructure and creating the user journey.
Once they had the site ready to go, they helped us move from our old system to a WordPress platform. They also designed a new logo. Now they provide ongoing support.
What is the team composition?
We had a project coordinator, a graphic designer, and a content manager. When we were working on the logo, they brought on a designer. Finally, the project was supported by their development team.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
I worked with HUEMOR at a previous organization and was impressed by their services and output. Consequently, I brought them into this new organization.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in July 2020 and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve already seen a tremendous ROI — we’ve received about a 10x return.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
They were phenomenal. They kept us organized and on track to meet our milestones. The biggest delay was on our side. We met on a weekly basis using Google Meet, but we occasionally had phone calls as well.
They are very collaborative. One thing I really like about working with HUEMOR was that they listen to what we are trying to do and provide recommendations. They don’t just jump at anything we told them to do, they think through it and come back with suggestions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They consistently deliver quality work. From how they set up the backend to how they deliver the design, everything they do is spectacular.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There isn’t anything I would have done differently. I was very happy with the experience.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Share your ideas and vision. Because they’re so collaborative, it’s like they’re an extension of your marketing department.

Web Dev for Agricultural Lender

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior marketing manager for an agricultural lender. We provide financial programs and land loans for farmers and ranchers across the U.S.
What challenge were you trying to address with HUEMOR?
We had some issues with lead generation and brand cohesiveness, and our website didn’t fill either of those buckets. The goal was to build a new website that drove qualified leads and elevated the experience of our users on the site via a unified brand.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The project kicked off with a discovery phase where HUEMOR got to know us as a company, our offerings, and our competitors. From there, we kicked off the creative phase. We have a pretty big presence in terms of digital and traditional media, and we wanted the website to reflect those same design elements. Our previous site was designed well but felt dated.
Wireframing and some design work followed. During this phase, it was really important for our team to have a lot of back-and-forth communication. HUEMOR was really good at pivoting. They used WordPress to develop the website. From there, we went into content development, which mostly consisted of our team coming up with those deliverables. HUEMOR took on the responsibility of injecting them into the website and guiding our decision-making. They’ve also played a key role in our user acceptance testing, building up our processes to address requests and changes in a timely manner.
The final stages included ensuring that all our boxes were checked regarding security. They considered and addressed all our requested technical updates. Post-launch they’ve provided communicative and supportive development to fix bugs.
Additionally, unifying our branding has kicked off a brand audit across our entire company. HUEMOR put together a brand guide with demonstration videos, which helps us communicate critical institutional knowledge to our new hires.
What is the team composition?
Prior to the project starting, we were in contact with Michael (Co-Founder & CEO). Once we transitioned over, our main contact became Emily (Project Manager) who remained on the project up until the development phase. Jeff (Partner & Chief of Memorable Digital Experiences) became our main point of contact after Emily's departure. Jeff was great about facilitating our different requests and moving the project forward.
How did you come to work with HUEMOR?
We interviewed 24–28 different design companies for this opportunity and did our due diligence in researching site designs and client reviews. We found HUEMOR from a design site, and we really liked their client work.
We conducted a couple of virtual phone conferences with them, learning about their communication style, their approach to different projects, and their mode of operation as a team. Our past agency didn’t provide a lot of transparency, so we really value that in our relationships.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $80,000–$90,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked together since June 2020, and the project will finish this month, in May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site has truly helped bring in higher quality leads, even though we receive fewer leads than before. This allows our sales team to spend more timeline on clients that need our assistance, which is huge.
I come from a technical and SEO background, so I really appreciate the way HUEMOR has developed the infrastructure of the website. Our biggest struggle on the previous site was that it wasn’t user-friendly from the maintenance side; it was very difficult to make changes, let alone global changes across different pages. HUEMOR has built our new site with those considerations in mind, making sure that every custom module can be easily updated by our internal teams.
They did a great job with the custom coding and modules. They also do a great job in implementing our aesthetic preferences into the website, even when they weren’t straightforward tasks. For example, we wanted video in our footer, and they figured out how to include it without compromising our page’s loading speed.
How did HUEMOR perform from a project management standpoint?
We’re tough on a lot of the companies we work with and hold them to a pretty high standard; we’re very hands-on as well. HUEMOR has done a great job of accommodating those needs, including adding an extra meeting every week for us.
Using Asana has worked out perfectly for us, as we’re able to easily track tasks. We also use InVision for all the design elements.
What did you find most impressive about them?
HUEMOR’s flexibility in relationship management has been a huge plus for us. We have high standards and don’t settle when it comes to things we’re looking for. They’re good about accommodating these requests.
Just recently, we finished the very last piece of the project. We had the way we wanted the task done set in our minds, but when it came time to execute, our plan wasn’t reasonable or within the scope. HUEMOR came up with an alternative solution that adequately addressed our needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were some challenges early in the project that were directly related to project management. This resulted in the perception that HUEMOR had a lackadaisical approach, which created friction between our two teams. After expressing our concerns and establishing expectations for the project, their team was able to come back with a better project plan. While I don't believe it ever fully met our expectations, it did allow us to move the project forward from that point while hitting most of our established deadlines.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a very clear idea of how you want your end project to look and function and set those expectations up front. The discovery phase is very helpful in this regard.
We ran into some hang-ups when it came to certain modules that we only gave them a high-level overview of initially. When we go those pieces, however, they turned out to be more involved than either of our teams expected.

Web Redesign for Positioning & Motion Control Manufacturer

the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am Vice President of Marketing at a manufacturing company with about 500 employees globally.
For what projects/services did your company hire HUEMOR?
Our company hired Huemor to redesign our website which was over 8 years old.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted a modern-looking website with an easy-to-use back-end to update and maintain content. Our post-launch goals are to increase website traffic and increase conversions.
How did you select HUEMOR?
We got 3 other bids and down-selected based on the proposals as well as other customer reference interviews.
Describe the project in detail.
Once we selected Huemor, we had a handful of discovery meetings and a project kickoff. We met weekly to review progress and discuss wireframes and concepts. My team provided most or all of the content necessary and we worked through a 3rd-party copywriter (recommended by us but supported by Huemor) to write some of the higher-level copy for the site. Huemor did the theme/aesthetic design, website development, and populated content from our existing site.
What was the team composition?
The Huemor team consisted of a project manager, multiple designers, and software developers. The CEO of the project joined many of the calls to support us and help manage the project.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
There were some large delays once we got to the development of the site. The magnitude of the site along with the nuances of our products and services were a large reason. However, the Huemor team persevered. They never once asked for a change notice or said "that wasn't in the scope of work".
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The project management and communication were great during the design phase. We had regular weekly meetings and regular progress and feedback sessions were scheduled. Once we hit development, the feedback was a little more sporadic related to the schedule and timing of things (again, attributed to the complexity and nuances of our products and Huemor's ability to accurately predict when things would be done). The Huemor team used Asana for project management and we could see the tasks that their team could see.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was most impressed by their perseverance and willingness to do what was necessary to satisfy their client. There was rarely ever a "no, we can't do that", said in our weekly meetings. They are very good designers and understand best practices in UX along with modern design trends, etc. I am very happy with the look and feel of the new site!
Are there any areas for improvement?
This was a huge project for everyone. I would have liked to have seen more effective project and task management during the development (coding). The "schedule" topic was quite often ignored and we had to guess as to where we were at with progress which made it hard for me to manage my internal clients. We are also a very "hands-on" client that wants to be able to do things on our own post-launch. As a result, I would have liked to have been more involved in their development/coding work (ie. seeing and discussing the technical solutions before they were implemented).
We only got to see the back-end (Wordpress) environment about a month prior to launch. In hindsight, I would have pushed harder during development to be involved more here. Finally, I'd like to see their QA process improved. There were members of their team assigned with taking content from our old site and manually populating our new site with technical specifications for our products. We had to do considerable clean-up work on this part prior to launch due to errors, etc. Granted, this work is arduous and time-consuming, but it isn't hard and just requires a fine eye for detail.
The site has seen a 6% increase in clicks and a 22% increase in impressions after only a month. HUEMOR is on top of project management, acting swiftly when issues arise. The team is flexible and easy to work with. Their understanding of requirements combined with their design talent stands out.
