70 different creativities to blast Internet. And a launch that exceed sales KPIs.

About the Project

Naranja launched a new device that allows anyone to accept payments with any credit and debit card from any mobile. We decided to make a blast on the internet, and since we were going to hit each user about 6 times without stun them, we made more than 70 different audiovisual creativities.

The Results

In the first 30 days of the campaign, we managed to sell more than

2,100 units, overcoming our initial objective, which was 1,000. We reached more than 8 million people, when our goal was 5 million. The campaign ended with more than 53 million impressions.

RED BULL – Batalla de Gallos

Red Bull Rapper Battle, one MC kissed his rival, and everyone went mads! In one week we did an 8 bits game with kisses and rhymes. TOTAL VIRALIZATION

About the Project

Red Bull needed to expand its ATL presence and take over the digital world. One of his usual rap battles, was presented as a good occasion to generate the buzz they were looking for.

The
Solution

In the battle, one of the rappers kissed his rival in the mouth, which generated a favorable tailwind that we had to take advantage of. At the same time, a video game by Leonardo Di Caprio went viral, trying to capture his deserved Oscar. We decided to go the simplest and most effective way: replicate the game of Di Caprio, adapting it to the Red Bull event and trusting that the fan base of the rappers would catapult it. Instead of statuettes and movie stars, our game had kisses, rappers and rhymes.

RESULTS: TOTAL VIRALIZATION

Hangout Music Week

The world’s first online music festival.

Background

Google was about to launch a new function on its Hangout platform which improved the music playback by 100%.

Challenge

Communicate the improvement using Google Hangouts and reach the most amount of people while doing so.

Solution

The obvious idea was to communicate with Music in

mind.

We contacted Latin America’s most popular music stars at that moment:

  • Los Cafres, Natalia Lafourcade, NTVG, Los Auténticos Decadentes, Andrea Echeverri among others.

We proposed them to organize World’s first (online only) 5-day online event where Google Hangouts was the visible stage.

All of them accepted.

  • We spent a week live-broadcasting 15 live-gigs from 4 different locations in Latin America;
  • The result exceeded all expectations (even musicians where surprised);
  • Many music news outlets picked it up mentioning both the novelty of the idea and how well it was executed.

Fans all around the world participated in the live-stream and experienced the Hangout Music week enjoying Latin America’s best music from the comfort of their homes.

DIRECTV TUTORIALS

We created 3 video tutorials with their own visual identity. Kun Agüero explained how to do it through the application, in very ridiculous situations

The Challenge

Being just 1 month from the 2014 World Cup, DIRECTV needed to communicate its application to see all the matches and generate new downloads. So, we not only needed to count its functionality, but also to reach it.

The
Solution

That’s why we created 3 video tutorials with their own visual identity. In each tutorial you could see Kun Agüero, in a ridiculous scenario where you watch the games, while explaining how to do it through the application, without being discovered.

For personal reasons, on the day of the shooting, the Kun could not commit to the whole day, and we altered the scripts at that right moment to adapt the campaign without losing the objective.

Results

On the first day of the World Cup the videos had reached more than 400,000 views.

The content and launch assistance Hoopla provides has resulted in a new brand identity that is relevant to local consumers. They bring out-of-the-box thinking to the project. The team is accessible and responds rapidly to questions or concerns.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing coordinator at an international cosmetics brand in Argentina.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hoopla?

I contacted Hoopla to create and launch local social media content. We needed to generate locally focused content and manage local networks.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I developed the media strategy myself, but they assist in setting up a calendar according to the brand’s needs. We also created a coherent proposal with its own locally relevant identity. They developed a proposal for non-traditional media, like Guerilla marketing and others. They also help with the creatives for the launch.

What is the team composition?

Our small team collaborates with the Hoopla team.

How did you come to work with Hoopla?

I found them online. After evaluating different agencies, their portfolios, and meeting with them, I chose Hoopla because I liked what they conveyed about the project. I like that they are a group of creatives that are open to thinking outside the box, which is different from other social media agencies.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2017 and we continue to work with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

My main goal was to generate a different identity and they have fulfilled that. The campaign hasn't been launched yet.

How did Hoopla perform from a project management standpoint?

They give great support to big projects. We have very fluid communication with them and they are very receptive to changes. We have missed a few deadlines but not on their part. In general, they are always available and reply immediately. We communicate quick messages on WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their Instagram proposal and the art direction for the event were both amazing and exceeded our expectations.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The media planning could be better but I understand that this isn't their specialty.

Hoopla surpasses the client’s outlined expectations at every turn. They’re exceptionally skilled at creating UX design. The team consistently builds upon initial concepts and brings them to life. Timely and organized, they’ve never missed a deadline.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am a digital manager for an international beverage company. I mostly focus on cultural projects and am responsible for digital platforms, websites, and apps for web and mobile. Specifically, I’m in charge of a music competition our company organizes.  It’s the largest freestyle rap competition for Spanish speaking countries.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hoopla?

Functionally,  our platform is a social media network for the freestyle world. We often need to publish additional content for specific digital platforms or for promotional purposes.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hoopla mostly provides frontend development work. They often program code using JavaScript, Angular, React Native, Html5, and CCS. In addition, they use PHP for the servers and MySQL. Most often, they've helped us build landing pages and microsites to add to our platform.

They also created digital marketing promotional pieces. After each of the rap matches in our competition, we post details like transcriptions of what the rappers sang and the words they used. Hoopla gathers all this information to make assets like infographics. Once complete, they add this content to a microsite or landing page.

What is the team composition?

Their team includes around 6-7 people.

How did you come to work with Hoopla?

Our team is based worldwide. For example, I work in Spain, but our previous digital manager was located in Buenos Aires. She had worked with Hoopla before and brought them on for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since February 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Hoopla always gives us more than we ask for. The team consistently exceed our expectations. Once we provide them with a concept, they enhance our idea to create a better, richer experience.

How did Hoopla perform from a project management standpoint?

Hoopla always meets the deadlines. We’ve never had any issue with scheduling. For communication, we use email and video calls exclusively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Hoopla is exceptionally talented at UX design. That’s what I like the most about their work. I am pleased to be working with them.

Through Hoopla’s work, not only has a greater brand awareness been achieved but they also created an adaptable campaign for all of Latin America. The team adapted well to internal methodologies and are both creative and proactive, which results in an overall improved communication strategy.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the product manager for Sunstar GUM, a multinational oral hygiene products company that’s in 35 countries. I oversee the children’s dental category and also work on media and communications projects.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hoopla?

We had the challenge of generating an attractive and professional communications plan that stood out to consumers that were hard to reach.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project consisted of a communications campaign that included a website, an app, and social media to create a connection and interact with the consumer audience. Hoopla focused on defining a concept with different stages and created an engagement format to reach the audience. They also worked with different market research technologies and methodologies to analyze each division and deliver a proposal.

Today, they manage the majority of the communication plans for our different divisions including children, adult, orthodontics, and more, defining a multi-phase strategy for each. They are a very important partner to us and thanks to them, we’ve been able to launch disruptive campaigns in the market.

What is the team dynamic?

There were 6 – 7 people involved in the first project, including an art director, a creative director, executives, designers, and a coordinator.

How did you come to work with Hoopla?

They made a pitch last year and had an innovative proposal, which is why we started working with them. It was part of a process that we started for changing the communications strategy for every division of the company.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them approximately in June 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have qualitative results such as better brand awareness and increased perception. We also developed relationships that were not being managed before in this division. We were positioned as a brand that speaks more closely to our consumers as opposed to competitors.

Everything that Hoopla did here in Argentina is a case study that will be replicated across Latin America and will be adapted to each country’s market. It’s an important accomplishment for our office, which will allow different markets with different cultures to appreciate the campaign. It has changed the rules of the game because it reaches consumers in a different way. Hoopla really stood out for this.

How did Hoopla perform from a project management standpoint?

They adapted to our internal processes and worked perfectly with our company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are very creative, proactive, and are always working. Aside from being a provider, they are a partner, which really differentiates them from the rest. They were able to improve our communications with the consumers and really helped grow the business by being very involved in every division.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind.

The team successfully created the digital advertising campaign. They went beyond expectations to control costs by participating as extra actors in the production and demonstrated their commitment to the project.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work at DirecTV Argentina and I’m the online marketing manager.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hoopla?

They helped us create an online marketing campaign in 2014. This was the project we started working on together and we liked it a lot. From that moment on, we made them our digital agency partner.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

This project was to communicate that we were launching a mobile app that allowed users to see the World Cup matches anytime and anywhere from their devices, back in 2014. Five people from their staff worked on the project.

How did you come to work with Hoopla?

They were recommended and I checked out their website. We called them, and from there, we started our relationship. We briefed them and invited them to present their ideas. We ultimately like what they showed us.

How much have you invested in Hoopla?

We have invested $10,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

The project was completed in 2014, but the relationship continues.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Their agency created many display pieces for us for different campaigns. When we need them to think of a concrete and creative idea that goes beyond creating pieces, they also have the capacity to do this. They’re able to come up with integral and creative proposals. If we need to do advertising productions, they handle that as well.

How did Hoopla perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked a lot via email and in person.

What did you find most impressive about Hoopla?

Hoopla was a very committed group and they cared about our costs as clients. Two of the five people that participated in the project appeared in the production as dressed up actors for the extra roles. They were always taking care of the costs and the budget and were always very committed on their end.

Are there any areas Hoopla could improve?

We had to change the characters’ scripts; maybe this could have been done in a more careful way. We communicated back and forth a lot. Maybe, we could’ve worked in a more systematic way.

The two online music experiences at the center of this effort were a tremendous success, no doubt the result of key contributions made by Hoopla. They're a trustworthy and reliable partner well-equipped to handle a variety of complex digital challenges.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Currently working at Google, I'm a Marketing Manager who’s done B2C/B2B product and performance marketing for different Latin American markets. Driving business results through brand awareness and acquiring users/customers for products ranging from Red Bull and Trident Gum, to YouTube, Chrome, Google+, Google AdWords and Google My Business.  In my current role at Google, I lead a team of performance marketers focused on customer acquisition of Small & Medium sized businesses in Spanish Latin America.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hoopla?

The challenge in 2012/2013 was to drive user adoption and engagement of online platforms YouTube and Google+. Nurturing a music community was a key pillar of our local strategy in Argentina, Chile and Peru. “Hangout Music Week” and “Music Garage” were two strategic initiatives that we incubated and deployed locally to achieve this goal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hoopla was a key partner in developing and executing both ideas, over achieving the desired goals. A brief description of the two projects:

“Hangout Music Week” allowed music enthusiasts to watch live performances of their favorite music artists on a single virutal stage. The first-ever 100% online music festival, gathered 15 renowned local artists who played from their own studios in 4 different Latam countries. Music fans and artists were also able to have intimate conversations before and after the shows with Hangouts, a video-conferencing feature. Though focused on Spanish Latin American markets, the initiative captured international attention driving 170.000 live views on YouTube from 60 different countries; artists added 240.000+ new followers to their Google+ pages.

“Music Garage” was born to help music enthusiasts discover up-and-coming artists. In a first-of-its-kind and exclusive online live experience, music fans were able to tune-in every week to listen and connect with new artists who shared their stories first-hand and performed live. The initiative drove +150.000 live views on YouTube from over 12 LatAm countries within 6 months, setting a new audience record in the region.

How did you come to work with Hoopla?

About six years ago, our team was working on a gigantic and very high profile project. We were in a rush to meet deadlines when we decided we wanted to develop a set of creative banners to support the communication of this initiative. After receiving a proposal from Hoopla, we decided to give them a try. Though they contribution was small in this particular project, the experience was so good that from there on we continued to work together. Over the years they’ve become strategic partners to us. They are very proactive in coming up with new (and great) ideas and are very flexible and hands on in executing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The Hoopla team has been essential in every stage of the two projects described above. From brainstorming, bringing the ideas together, to building a narrative and executing. They were true partners and advisors. Not only that but, because of the nature of these projects, a ton of collaboration happened with industry players such as record labels and the artists’ management and Hoopla played a key role in every engagement. They were there from beginning to end on both collaborations, and they helped in all aspects.

How did Hoopla perform from a project management standpoint?

Hoopla has excellent project management abilities. They’re proactive in spotting challenges and coming up with solutions.

What did you find most impressive about Hoopla?

The Hoopla team are great listeners. Every time our team has shared a thought or piece of feedback, I’ve been impressed by how flexible they were and how quickly they’ve incorporated it. Last but not least, I’m impressed by the talent they consistently hire. They’re an amazing group of individuals with whom is fun to work with.

Are there any areas Hoopla could improve?

Not that I can think of right now.
