Portfolio

Key clients:

HMG Creative has partnered with hundreds of brands including Thermo Fisher Scientific, Texas A&M, OriGen Biomedical, Humco, Capital Factory, The Marriott, IKEA, State Bar of Texas, Cox Communications, OnStream Media, Brinks Security, Terminix, Retail Me Not, The Art Institute, among other notable clients.

InfiniteIO

InfiniteIO makes hybrid cloud storage simple and fast, enabling enterprises, research organizations and media companies to analyze, optimize and scale management of billions of files without disruption.

With only a basic website to share InfiniteIO’s cutting-edge features and service, the team knew it was time for a more robust site to support the company’s growth.

Reaching out to HMG, InfiniteIO came

with a clear goal: create a sophisticated website with clear messaging to generate leads, inform consumers, and move visitors to action.

The steepest challenge with InfiniteIO’s site was marketing a very complex and sophisticated product in a clear and simple way. We gave special attention to developing clean navigation that clearly communicated the benefits of the product.

We developed custom functionalities to support InfiniteIO’s goals for growth, including a HubSpot integration, a secure resources section, a downloadable recruitment tool for lead generation, and a member login.

We also designed marketing collateral and a custom email template, ensuring every touchpoint with the market would be strategic, engaging and beautiful.

InfiniteIO’s new site has become a powerful tool that positions the company for growth as more users discover its product. The site now mimics the sophistication of its own technological solution, yet simply delivers a clear message to customers, partners, and resellers alike: there’s a better way to manage hybrid cloud storage.

SINC

Through customized, first-class event experiences, SINC strengthens IT communities by connecting and educating IT executives and software providers.

With increasing attendees signing up for SINC’s specialized IT events, SINC noticed users were struggling to navigate through the site and successfully register. The team also felt the website didn't accurately reflect the mission of the

organization to provide networking and educational opportunities for IT professionals.

SINC partnered with HMG to create a digital experience for its website visitors that would provide a better representation of its portfolio and clearer CTAs to drive users to take action.

Developing the site on WordPress, we incorporated a customizable page builder so staff could easily add content and create layouts for each event. The design also included a HubSpot integration that synthesized client data into SINC’s CRM. Our team additionally added enhancements to SINC's existing logo and color palettes for a sharper, modernized brand aesthetic.

SINC’s original website didn’t offer clear differentiation between audiences, so we restructured the site’s architecture with strategic color schemes, messaging, and navigation options. To boost engagement, we incorporated lead generation forms and developed a member login and a highly customized event calendar.

With a sophisticated, modernized site, SINC is now empowered to connect with visitors and truly promote and build community within the IT industry.

RetailMeNot

Project Overview

Last year, RetailMeNot came to HMG requesting web design and development assistance for a new Customer Appreciation Campaign. The project had very detailed specifications and guidelines for converting the current RetailMeNot blog interface into styled-out blog pages that highlight the new campaign, the company’s bloggers and recent articles as well as the integration of a live Q&A

chat section, reader polls, advertising and of course all social media platforms.

While the timeline was tight and expectations were tall, the entire web project was completed ahead of schedule and the end-result was a design and development approved by the highest standards, our client’s.

Raise Your Hand Texas

Project Overview

HMG was thrilled to partner with Raise Your Hand Texas to help develop their new website. The new, fully responsive website was developed via WordPress, incorporating the latest in visual design best practices and technology. What’s great about this site is that it is very modular and we purposely built a custom, intuitive WordPress admin that allows Raise Your Hand Texas to easily

design and layout their own engaging, nicely designed pages, moving forward. The new site was designed around Raise Your Hand Texas’ branding standards to ensure brand consistency. We incorporated full-width background videos across multiple pages to enhance the viewer experience. We also made it very easy for the user to find and connect from all of Raise Your Hand Texas’ social media accounts, in one simple place. Finally, this new website has been optimized using SEO best practices to ensure success among their target audience.

About Raise Your Hand Texas

Raise Your Hand Texas exists to improve and advance public schools for all Texas students because all kids deserve a level playing field and equal access to a high-quality, free public education. They are unique among educational organizations because of the investments they make span research, programs, and advocacy in pursuit of a high-quality public education for every single Texas student.

The State Bar of Texas

Project Overview

The State Bar of Texas came to HMG Creative with a goal of revamping their online web presence. This redesign project was far larger than anything we had ever worked on before, but we were eager to get started as soon as we got the offer! The State Bar of Texas has always served as the first place that bar members and the public go for information about Texas lawyers, the

State Bar and laws in Texas. Keeping that in mind throughout the whole project, we created a fully responsive website that enhanced the overall user experience, simplified their current web offerings and enriched the member/public value overall. We were responsible for creating all the visual design on the site including: typography, color palettes, layout of elements, gird systems and the usage of imagery within the entire design. Unlike most projects, we created the final website code renderings for all the designs and then sent them over to The State Bar of Texas to be integrated through the back-door of the website on their end.

About The State Bar of Texas

The State Bar of Texas is an administrative agency of the state’s judicial branch that provides educational programs for the legal profession and the public, administers the Minimum Continuing Legal Education program for attorneys, and manages the grievance process.

Texas A&M

Project Overview

Even though we’re Austinites and Longhorns at heart, HMG Creative was thrilled for the opportunity to tackle a website redesign project for Texas A&M University. The university’s online Student Activities Portal needed a facelift to create a more engaging and better overall user experience. We began building the new fully responsive site with our primary audience in mind

– the students. The fresh, modern design provides quick access to the most popular sections on the site, with easy-to-navigate pages and a rich color scheme that promotes and enhances the Texas A&M University brand.  We built the site on the WordPress CMS – fast, strong, and more than capable of supporting the high traffic and plentiful content of the site.

About Texas A&M University

Texas A&M University (or TAMU) located in College Station, Texas is the sixth largest university in the country. The school offers over 1000 student organizations, boasting outlets for virtually everyone to find their niche within the A&M community. The online Student Activities Portal serves as the first step toward connecting with those groups and we’re proud to unveil the new and improved site to the TAMU students and staff!

HMG Creative streamlined the client’s online process and increased their exposure which led to more traffic and sales. The client is extremely pleased with the agency’s work and praises them for their attentiveness and responsiveness.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Could you give us a brief description of your company?

We’re a small family-owned company. We are wholesale distributors of linens and bedding items. We’re located in Southern California.

What’s your role and responsibilities within the company?

I’m the purchasing manager.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

Before you went to HMG Creative, what was the business challenge that you were trying to address?

We wanted to update our system to the umbrella platform so that our website was more user friendly and more efficient.

What was your company’s business goal for the project?

Increase our presence on the Internet and our online sales.

SOLUTION

Can you talk a little more about the scope of the project?

We needed a website that accommodated both retail and wholesale subscribers because we primarily work with retailers, but we also sell to the public. The project included development of a special platform that allowed wholesale customers to log in and get their orders processed.

What was your process for selecting HMG Creative with which to work?

HMG Creative was a local company here in Southern California before they moved to Texas. We decided to go with them because they’ve always paid attention well and are very detail oriented. That’s really important to us with the website.

Can you give us the size of the project in dollar terms or is that confidential?

About $8,000.

Do you know when the project was completed?

The project was completed early 2012.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

In terms of results and feedback, can you give us some specific improvements that happened on your website because of the work that HMG Creative did?

We no longer have to mail out our 100-page sales catalog for our wholesale customers to use in their shops anymore. Now, they’re able to download it off the website. It’s hosted there. Also, all of our customers are able to make online profiles with us, which has really helped with orders. We’ve seen a huge increase in our orders online and our online traffic. They’ve also helped us with social media. Our online presence is completely revamped with the website. It really helped our business.

How well do you think they performed?

Really well. Every project has obstacles, and they work to make it right and see it through to the end. Whenever we have a question on something, they’re always getting back to us extremely quickly. Everybody there is super competent and knows what they’re doing.

When you were working with them, was there anything unique or special about them that’s different from other companies you’ve worked with in the past?

They’re always there, and they’re always super attentive, which is very distinguishable. The owner is very detail oriented, and he takes the time to figure out what kind of look we wanted. They did revision after revision for us. They really bent over backwards to make sure it was exactly what we wanted.

HMG Creative succeeded in bringing the client a new website that was improved in every aspect. The agency consistently performed extremely well. The client praises HMG Creative for their professionalism and highly recommends them to others.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.

BACKGROUND

Could you give a brief description of your company?

We’re in Austin, Texas. We only have 11 employees.

What is your role and responsibilities with the company?

I’m senior executive administrative assistant and office manager. I do a little bit of everything here: The website, social media, Facebook posts, accounts payable, and make sure the whole office runs smoothly.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address when you came to HMG Creative?

We wanted to revamp our whole website into WordPress. Prior to that, we were in a very customized website that this local company created. We wanted to get to a different platform that was more user friendly.

What were the overall business goals for the project? What did you want your company to benefit from the most out of this project?

Just exposure. We wanted to have  a more attractive website.

SOLUTION

Can you talk a little bit more about the project what kind of support was involved? Was it design, development, or training?

Everything actually. It was all of those. They gave us a few options. We told them what we wanted it to look like. We based it on a couple other websites that we found that we liked. They also trained us on WordPress.

What was the process for selecting HMG Creative with which to work? What led you to them?

We have a policy at work. If we spend above a certain amount of money, you have to get at least three bids. So, we interviewed three companies. They weren’t the cheapest, and they weren’t the most expensive, but we liked their work and product example the best. We also really liked the conversations we had with them.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

In terms of results and feedback, what were the results of the project? What did you get out of it in the end?

A brand new website. Everything  was improved.

You still feel you selected the right platform and software to work with WordPress.

Yes. We’re happy with it.

How did HMG Creative perform?

I would say excellent performance. I vaguely remember having a couple of issues. I don’t know if it was timeliness in getting back to us or what it was, but the overall result was really good. We’ve continually worked with them. They’ve upgraded a couple of our logos. They’ve made our logos pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. So, we could use that in our social media presence. They continually do work for us.

Looking back at it, was there anything that made them unique compared to other companies you worked with in the past? Is there something that stands out about HMG Creative?

I feel like it’s a good personal and business relationship. They’re very friendly. I like them as people, and they’re very professional at the same time.
