A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of an online dropshipping retail store.
What challenge were you trying to address with Hireplicity, Inc.?
I needed their assistance in staff augmentation.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I’ve engaged Hireplicity, Inc. to help me onboard different resources to support my team. They’ve launched a vetting process based on my requirements, such as English proficiency and basic computer and communication skills. We’ve hired one customer support specialist, one sales designer, and one team manager with their team’s help so far.
What is the team composition?
I mainly work with their owner.
How did you come to work with Hireplicity, Inc.?
I’d been friends with their owner for a long time and thought of engaging his company when I needed staff augmentation support.
How much have you invested with them?
I’ve spent over $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in September 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our sales have gone up despite the repercussions of the pandemic since we have additional resources supporting our needs — that’s the only success metric I have for Hireplicity, Inc.’s onboarding support.
How did Hireplicity, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate via Skype and Messenger. Hireplicity, Inc. is a collaborative team that pays attention to my needs. Whenever we encounter issues with the candidates they recommend, their team is always quick to address that and offer other ways to help my team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Hireplicity, Inc. knows where to look and what to look for when hiring candidates with exceptional qualifications. Additionally, they treat both their employees and clients with respect, which makes them an honorable provider.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’ll appreciate an earlier notice when it comes to price increase or any changes in their services.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Identify your own market needs and requirements before engaging Hireplicity, Inc. — after all, the qualifications for each candidate must come from you, not their team.

Developer Augmentation for EdTech Company
"They were courteous, curious, engaged, helpful, and true collaborators."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was the Director of Product at a fast-growing EdTech startup that now serves over 17M+ students across the world.
For what projects/services did your company hire Hireplicity, Inc., and what were your goals?
We needed a way to quickly scale our engineering efforts without sacrificing quality. Pairing Hireplicity's developers with our own engineers was a winning combination that allowed us to ship quality software faster.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Hireplicty was aligned with our own values of creating an engaging, welcoming, inclusive culture. That alignment was important to us when selecting a vendor to work with. They also demonstrated a true passion for the work, becoming true partners in the work.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
It's tough to summarize the scope of Hireplicity's work with our team at that time. They were involved in nearly every feature development and release spanning multiple technologies across multiple years. They demonstrated an ability to adapt to new technologies and accelerate the pace of development in a fast-moving startup environment.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Over the years, I worked with just about every member of the Hireplicity team. Software engineers and QA specialists mostly.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were on a rolling release development cycle, which meant we were shipping new features every day. They helped us ship new features, scale existing products, respond to bugs, etc. I would say that the Hireplicity team was just as much a part of our company's success as we were. They were involved every step of the way.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The Hireplicity team is proactive in their communications and seeking clarity about priorities, timelines, and specifications for development work. They ask good questions. This was a big benefit since it required less management on our end. Instead, we were able to move faster (which was the whole goal) and produce great work. I've found this isn't always the cast with custom software vendors and is, in my opinion, a differentiator for Hireplicity.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The people. They're really special. They were courteous, curious, engaged, helpful, and true collaborators. They also have a strong company culture. You'll notice that many of their team members have been on the team for years and years -- this is no easy feat in the technology world where it's commonplace for engineers to jump from company to company every 2-3 years. That says everything you need to know about Hireplicity's investments into their people. That investment is reflected in the quality of work you receive from them.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I really can't think of anything.

Custom Software Development for Adult Learning Platform

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a company that is developing an adult learning platform.
What challenge were you trying to address with Hireplicity, Inc.?
We engaged with Hireplicity for software development.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Initially, it was just conceptualizing products. We moved on to determine the best way of building the infrastructure, decide the database structure, and so on. Hireplicity was involved in all of this process, and then they were on the development side of the project. We provided them with some mock-ups and written documentation in terms of workflows, and they did some research and development for some of the functionality.
We’ve worked with them for over a year, and they continue to add QA resources to test the application and make sure it’s correct. They also help us with documentation for customer support and even with new team members that onboard on the development side.
What is the team composition?
Seven people have been involved in the project. One of them has been involved the whole time to offer advice and another comes in and out for a deeper, technical perspective. We have people in QA, project management, front- and backend development, and even someone on business analytics.
Our main point of contact is Taylor (CEO), but we have Grace (Software Engineer) as our lead developer, as well.
How did you come to work with Hireplicity, Inc.?
I had heard about their work and that led me to want to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent at least $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in December 2019, and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve had hundreds of tickets created and completed in the QA area. At this point, 99% of the bug tickets are fixed.
How did Hireplicity, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve done very well. We have different time zones and different people coming in and out of the project, so they’ve handled things really well. We used Jira and Slack as project management tools. We also used emails and phone calls as other forms of communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes them is their agile development style, so they’ve been very flexible. They’re also very persistent; they spend up resources and do whatever they need to get the job done. Financially, they definitely offer a reasonable budget for the resources they provide.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’m not sure how to answer; I don’t have anything to say here.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a good choice. You can’t go wrong.

Custom Software Dev for FinTech Startup
"Working with Hireplicity has been a game-changer for me. I’ve finally been able to see my vision come to life."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the founder of FinHub, which is a pre-revenue software development startup in the fintech space.
What challenge were you trying to address with Hireplicity Inc.?
I needed a team to help me develop this vision that I had for a software. I had gone through 4–5 different developers and was not making progress. It was not a good experience because I was spending money but I wasn’t seeing my vision come to life, so I hired Hireplicity to help me out.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I painted a vision for the software that I desired by putting together some mockups for Hireplicity. The software itself is web-based. The idea behind our company and our services is that we would, in a sense, grease the wheels of financial transactions. We would use this software to turn a traditionally unpleasant experience into a pleasurable one by removing all the unnecessary steps.
Hireplicity has since managed the project and done the front- and backend coding to bring my vision to life. Right now, all transactions are conducted via email and there’s no good software that could handle it, so their team is helping us build it, with an open-source, encrypted file management software as our foundation. File sharing and real-time chat functions are being integrated into this software as well.
What is the team composition?
I’ve primarily worked with Julian (Software Engineer) since we started but I’ve also interacted with two other members of their team. Hireplicity assigned us a project manager to help keep things moving, but they were switched out for Jonathan (Web Developer). We’ve recently picked up another full stack developer, Arnold (Software Engineer) who we have working more on the frontend.
How did you come to work with Hireplicity Inc.?
Hireplicity was referred to me by a mentor of mine who’s a titan in the industry and has built several highly successful software companies. He told me that I needed to talk to Taylor (CEO) who was his go-to guy that engineered much of his software.
I looked into Taylor’s company and saw that Hireplicity was pretty solid. Frankly, I had been fed up with all the other experiences I had and was getting burnt out, so there was really no contest; I decided to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested close to $80,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I’ve been working with them for 3–4 years now. The project is ongoing and I’m using Hireplicity on an indefinite basis.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Working with Hireplicity has been a game-changer for me. I’ve finally been able to see my vision come to life and have begun to get some traction and forward motion, which is very exciting even though we’re still in the alpha stage and have just sent the software out to my first live user.
The fact that Hireplicity can deliver when they say they will has really set them apart. If an issue comes up that could potentially throw off the time estimates, they would communicate it clearly, set our expectations well, and handle the planning and follow-through. We can tell that this project is important to them because they offer genuine apologies when they’ve not lived up to a certain standard.
How did Hireplicity Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
Everyone we’ve worked with from Hireplicity has been absolutely fantastic. They have a great deal of expertise and what makes them different is that they’re good at managing expectations, communicating, and delivering on what they said they’re going to, when they said they’re going to do it. The planning aspect of their project management is really excellent.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I feel like a broken record, but I will reiterate that they’ve been great at setting expectations and delivering on those. This has been a pain point for me in the past when other developers would start off strong but not follow through or finish at all.
I’ve found that for these kinds of projects, 95% of the development is only about 50% of the work, so the other companies I’ve worked with felt like they were done when they, in fact, weren’t, which is how most of my projects have come at a standstill. It’s been maddening, but that Hireplicity has solved that problem for me is golden.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind. I feel very happy with them.
I feel like we have run into issues about tracking the billing in the beginning. There was no unfair amount charged, but I just wasn’t expecting it. It was a difficult first few months, but we were able to overcome it as we learned how to work together. It would be good if they had a system to track the running total cost and number of hours spent on a development project. That way, there would be better transparency as opposed to simply seeing the bill at the end of every month.

Workforce & Dev Augmentation for Education Platform
"Hireplicity approaches the project as if they are the founders of the company."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the head of business intelligence (BI) and data engineering at an education company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Hireplicity, Inc.?
We needed an augmented workforce, specifically around our QA needs and building out some of our SaaS platform as quickly as possible. The developers that originally worked on the platform were from Hireplicity. As the company grew, we continued to leverage more of their developers, as well as QA engineers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Hireplicity was part of our augmented workforce and core development team. The resources from Hireplicity worked on our data and assessment (D&A) platform. This was an educational platform for the K–12 environment where teachers and anybody else within the education facility of a school or district would be able to assess students on a variety of data-testing, and performance-driven assessments.
For instance, if a second grader had learned a certain number of vocabulary words necessary to be proficient at their level, you’d be able to provide differential learning lesson planning based on their current level.
What is the team composition?
We have around 25–30 people from Hireplicity supporting our company in a variety of ways. They are dispersed onto different teams. However, I worked closely with 5–6 people on my team.
How did you come to work with Hireplicity, Inc.?
Hireplicity was part of the original company that I worked at for quite some time. Taylor (CTO) was one of the founding developers at my previous company. He started Hireplicity a couple of years before helping to found the educational company I used to work for.
As we needed more support on the core platform, we were able to leverage their team through that partnership. It was an organic networking relationship. We didn’t necessarily hear about Hireplicity through word-of-mouth; they were always a part of our core team, and they continued to grow from there.
How much have you invested with them?
The company has spent around $125,000–$150,000 per year.
What is the status of this engagement?
They started working together years before I did in June 2015. I’m no longer with the company, so I’m not sure about when the partnership will end.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I have a lot of anecdotal feedback about Hireplicity’s work. They were among the top 20% of the company. Everyone who worked with people from Hireplicity was incredibly pleased with the outcomes, not only from development standards and QA perspectives but also based on their ability to collaborate effectively and proactively.
In terms of metrics, they were assessed at the same level of quality that would be expected from any member of the core team. From that perspective, they were tremendously built into the accountability measures, KPIs, and OKRs that the rest of the team was held to. They’ve been an extremely huge help, and I don’t think that the company would be nearly as successful as it has been without them.
How did Hireplicity, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?
Hireplicity did really well in terms of a project management perspective. It was always very clear what the expectations were and how they would be able to help us.
Taylor was our liaison. He attended any of the major leadership meetings, and he helped coordinate and triage any problems. There were a few occasions when we needed to give either positive or negative feedback to folks, and Taylor was able to facilitate that for us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I have worked with several different augmented workforces across my career, and Hireplicity, in particular, became inextricably part of the team on so many levels. They take a certain level of ownership that I’m not used to seeing. A lot of people might be concerned about leveraging workforce augmentation teams or Hireplicity for helping with recruitment or a variety of other HR services, but they’re one of those companies that I would have no qualms about recommending to any colleague.
Hireplicity approaches the work as if they are the founders of the company. Their attention to detail and desire to push the product in the right direction, as collaboratively as possible, has been inspiring for me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, it’s hard to say because they were such a part of our team. I would say that they grew very quickly, and sometimes, that could cause friction. We were forced to prioritize better so that we could leverage the folks with the most domain knowledge in the right way.
However, I don’t think that’s so much a criticism of them as it is of our ability to prioritize well. I can’t think of anything else to improve. Hireplicity was open to feedback, and they quickly iterated the things that we pointed out.
Any advice for potential customers?
It would be really effective to make sure that there is a clear vision of the product and what the technology platform is trying to achieve. Even without this information, Hireplicity’s team would do tremendous work. However, if you want to maximize the efficiency and leverage any augmented workforce, having that would be great.
It is important to treat them as part of your core team and ensure that you know exactly what you’re trying to have them execute on, so that they can do their best in that direction.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the VP of Implementations at an e-commerce SaaS company that provides search and merchandising services to ecommerce brands.
For what projects/services did your company hire Hireplicity, Inc., and what were your goals?
We hired Hireplicity to help supplement our in house implementation team to help us scale faster.
How did you select Hireplicity, Inc. and what were the deciding factors?
When considering outsourcing engineers we decided to go with Hireplicity due to my previous work with their team.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We spent time together finding an engineer in their area that would fulfill our needs and hireplicity brought them into their team. We treated this engineer like any other employee, they just happened to be remote. They worked on projects as they were assigned and attended our meetings. They were just like any other team member.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a few. We worked with two engineers, a project manager, and the owner of Hireplicity.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Hireplicity allowed us to quickly bring on a couple more engineers to supplement our in house engineering staff to ensure we were delivering projects to our customers in a timely manner.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We requested that they use our tools for project management as we were just integrating their team members as a part of our team and they were able to do so successfully.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I think they actually care about the success of their projects and team members. We wanted engineers that would join our team and just be an extension of our existing team and they were able to do so.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The hiring process for the engineers took slightly longer than expected, but we're very strenuous in our hiring practices.

Please describe your company and your position there.
CEO of a software as a service solution for the K-12 Education space. We are providing a solution to make technology asset management much easier for the technology staff at school districts all over the United States.
For what projects/services did your company hire Hireplicity, Inc., and what were your goals?
I have hired the Hireplicity team to help develop our software platform over the last 3 years. The goal was to develop a platform that provides value to as many education customers as possible.
How did you select Hireplicity, Inc. and what were the deciding factors?
I received a recommendation from a former customer of theirs, as a very cost effective way to build the software platform I had envisioned.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
It is an ongoing project. I utilize full stack developers, as well as QA techs. They have built me a multiple database stack with a user interface.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We are currently at 5 employees. 2 senior full stack, 2 junior developers and 1 QA tech.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have gone to market with our solution and have started receiving income for it. I feel the only limiting factor was the fact that I was the head of product/architecture. With adequate product and UI/UX staff in place now, our velocity has increased recently. Overall, I know I have saved money using the Hireplicity team.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We use Jira, as well as lean and waterfall methodology while under my leadership. They provided a PM in the beginning, and would plan the sprints without any of my involvement, which was nice, as I do not have a software building background.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are cost-effective, responsive, and consistent.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing I can think of at this time.

Please describe your company and your position there.
As a Senior Data Integration Specialist I was responsible for communicating to the developers the new development and/or changes to the tools needed to bring in educational data into our data driven tools.
For what projects/services did your company hire Hireplicity, Inc., and what were your goals?
In the education industry there isn't a uniform way to store and extract data. Every school system has their own set of tools and methods for storing the students data. The challenge was creating tools that would be flexible and robust to accept and process any high volume data that would come to us.
How did you select Hireplicity, Inc. and what were the deciding factors?
Finding a company that was open to listening to our needs and producing results was a challenge in itself. Hireplicity not only put a plan in place that we all agreed upon but they were able to bring in the extra support that their team needed to work faster and better.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We initially setup Jira a support ticket system to help with the multiple requests and needs as we launched the project. Numerous meetings where held via Zoom to talk through the various hurdles we needed to find solutions for.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were about six key Hireplicity team persons who had different roles and tech backgrounds that complimented each other as they worked through the project.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Before the new tools were launched we were manually processing and messaging data files to get them into our system. After working with Hireplicity we were able to process files at a much quicker rate and even open up some of the tools to our higher level clients.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
They took ownership of the project and really understood the client's needs. We worked well together and communication was never an issue. They strove to make the biggest impact for the lowest cost
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their teamwork, honesty and work ethic was very different for a tech company. It wasn't just about custom software development but also their authentic caring for each other and for others.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I had a good experience and could only wish we could have worked more in person.
Hireplicity, Inc.'s onboarding expertise and commitment to meeting the client's requirements have resulted in a revenue and team productivity boost. The team's attentiveness and ability to hire resources based on strong qualifications continue to pave the way for a generative collaboration.
