I won't go into the specifics of the project as it's confidential. But through a brief overview video I was able to convey our needs to Hexamarvel. From there we worked through any issues/areas of clarification until I felt they understood what my vision for the project was.

The experieince was fantastic and I look forward to working with them ongoingly. As I am based in Australia, and Hexamarvel India, communication and responsiveness is critical to the success of the relationship. On all occasions I found Hexamarvel prompt and attentive, which was terrific.

Searched in google and Adobe marketplace. This vendor had an extension that most of the needs. Development to make it a complete solution was therefore little.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They've developed a great extension. Especially, I like the possibility to choose whether I would like to have the pre-order functionality available for quantity <=0 or for >0. My use case is having a product for which I want to give buyers the opportunity to order when this product has not yet been released on the market.

After some pre order period, I know how many items have been ordered (say qty = X). I make an estimation how many additional items I could sell before the product will be released (say qty = Y). I order X+Y at the supllier and amend the remaining pre order quantity to Y in the Magento shop. As soon as quantity reaches 0, the stock status goes to Out of Stock and customers can not order any more.In this case, I never sell more than my supplier will send to me. Note that Magento introduced Magento Inventory (from version 2.3 called "MSI").

One of the aspects is stock reservation. Stock gets reduced only after the item has been shipped / left the stock. For pre-orders the item is not really in stock. Because Magento has not yet (2.4.2) fixed the issue to link the stock status to salable quantity instead of quantity, the stock status would remain in stock even after all pre order quantity has been sold.

The nice thing is that Hexamarvel Pre order extension works great with AmpersandHQ disable stock reservation free extension. Together if fulfills a need which I have and a lot of other merchants as well. Apart from this, the Hexamarvel team is doing a great job and respond quickly at least within 24 hours to an email/question. I recommend both the Pre order extension and Hexamarvel.

Our magento 2.0 site hosted on Amazon had a number of issues. Browsers were warning that it was a dangerous site, which really hurt business. The original developer disappeared and finding a company to fix it became a major problem - until we found Hexamarvel.

What were your goals for this project?

Originally to fix the site but eventually we decided to move to a more responsive host. Hexamarvel copied the site over, upgraded magento and the plug-ins.

How did you select this vendor?

They had worked on a Wordpress project for us a few years ago and while looking for someone to take over this one, I dug up the old correspondence and reached out. Turns out they do magento as well.

They moved our site from AWS to Siteground, fixed security issues, upgrade to the latest version of magento and are now tweaking smaller issues on the site.

I spoke to two people on the project.

The site is up and running on a new server and magento reports no security issues.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

All done by email with two people at Hexamarvel. All issues resolved.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They did not disappear in middle as others we found on guru.com and freelancer.com had done. They stuck with it until it was completed.

Nothing I can think of.
