For what projects/services did your company hire Hello Pomelo, and what were your goals?
To develop a telecom fleet management software in order to optimize it as much as possible
How did you select Hello Pomelo and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a service provider and launched a call for tenders. Hello Pomelo and its methodology we really liked
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Hello Pomelo built the software from scratch based on our idea. They implemented the algorithms into the tool to allow the fleet control. We went through a discovery phase after which we agreed on a price and they started the development. They completed the first version within five or six months and we are still on the evolutions. They continue to make enhancements to the product.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I communicated with a project lead and had a team of five or six people including developers and testers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The software is flawless and has been since the release. We haven’t had any challenges with issues or bugs over this past six months It’s user-friendly and we haven’t had any complaints from users. Our clientele continues to grow.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We talked every Monday and then throughout the week depending on the tasks. Communication was constant. My project lead was straightforward and always kept me informed. He’s also very smart and helpful: whenever I would come to him with an idea, he would think about it for a while, come up with a resolution, and put it into place. I feel very fortunate to have found Hello Pomelo and to have worked with my project manager.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The most impressive thing is that they do what they say they’ll do. They give me a timeframe and they hit every deadline that they set. Communication was huge for me and I was very impressed with how they handled themselves.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
From my experience with them, I don't see any need for improvement.
End users praised the software for being flawless and bug-free ever since the release six months ago. Hello Pomelo was straightforward with their daily communications keeping the client up-to-date every day. In the end, they managed to create a user-friendly output with continued support and update.
