Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the co-founder of my company. We support women preparing mentally for giving birth with online coaching and on-demand education
For what projects/services did your company hire havenocode, and what were your goals?
We hired hnc for creating a membership area for our users to access our paid content
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched online and short listed a few. I chose hnc because of their previous experience and their pragmatic approach
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to clarify scope and timelines. I delivered design mockups and user journey. Based on that hnc developed the membership area using bubble & stripe. We had weekly check-ins in which hnc shared the progress and we aligned on things that needed to be done. When they needed my support (e.g., with stripe) that were always very supportive and guided me along the way
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I had contact with 3 people:
- 1 Business Manager for all business related topics (pricing, contract etc)
- 1 Project manager who overlooked the entire project and was my main contact partner
- 1 main Developer who was always involved in the check-ins
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were very happy with deliverables. After a few iteration, they created exactly what we were looking for!
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Weekly check-ins using VC; communication via email
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were very supportive along the way and had a clear & pragmatic approach. They even went the extra mile when I had a problem over the weekend and supported me - big thanks for that!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We needed a few iterations to have the design correctly translated - having support from someone on their side who has in depth experience with design to see the small deviations would have been useful.

Web Design & Development for Coffee Roastery
“I accepted most of their first ideas because they were perfect.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a coffee roastery, and I’m also a managing partner at a law firm. I recently started the coffee business.
What challenge were you trying to address with havenocode?
I needed help creating a new website and online store, from design to website machinery.
What was the scope of their involvement?
havenocode designed our website and built it from scratch using Bubble. My marketing provider had prepared the strategy, and the site had to be in line with the branding, marketing, and communication ideas. Ours is a premium product, so the goal was to ensure that the design looked premium yet simple.
What is the team composition?
I worked with three people from havenocode: a designer, an IT specialist, and a coordinator. There was also a tester involved, though I never met him.
How did you come to work with havenocode?
The most important thing I was looking for in a vendor was good management. Although my marketing provider did a really good job with the branding, our relationship didn’t work because they didn’t understand what I needed. Since I was running two businesses, I didn’t have time to do basic day-to-day work, so I wanted to hire a team that could do everything.
I knew Emil (Co-Founder), and when we caught up, I shared my views. At first, he tried to help me choose a provider, and then I asked him if havenocode would be willing to take on the project, so we started our cooperation. I chose havenocode because I knew that once Emil says he’ll do something, he will. Additionally, I saw havenocode’s previous work and knew that they’d do well from a technical perspective.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $10,000, plus VAT.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from January–April 2022.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
havenocode accomplished my design goals — the site exactly matches my idea. The market response has been more than positive, and people have commented that the site looks simple yet premium.
The design is also very distinctive in the coffee market; no competitor has a website with a presentation like ours. I was very satisfied throughout the process and often had no comments for havenocode; I accepted most of their first ideas because they were perfect.
How did havenocode perform from a project management standpoint?
They performed pretty well from a project management perspective. We communicated via email and LinkedIn, and we had sprint meetings every week. The team was focused on meeting the deadline. However, we had a two-week delay because I had to deliver some components to the market, so I gave the team additional time. In the end, they were on time, and I wasn’t.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I wanted proper project management, and havenocode did it perfectly. They worked fast and were strongly focused on client needs. They released me from day-to-day work and brought me products ready for me to decide on. They knew I would accept the proposals because they understood my needs so well. While IT teams can be closed off and not understand business needs, havenocode is unique and understood me perfectly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I was very focused on my goal and didn’t think about what they should improve. For me, they performed perfectly and matched all my needs. That doesn’t mean there’s no room for improvement, though.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The most important thing is to know what you need and define it so that havenocode can understand. This will ensure work will go smoothly because the team is really open to client needs. Additionally, try to make decisions efficiently. I asked havenocode for feedback on me as a client, and they highlighted my fast decision-making.

Web App Dev for Software Company

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a software company.
What challenge were you trying to address with havenocode?
We hired havenocode to help us develop a web app prototype that we were trying to test in the market. It was a bit of an experimental side project, so I didn’t want my team to spend time learning the Bubble platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
havenocode developed our web app’s MVP prototype from scratch using Bubble, a no-code platform. The project was to create a mock inbox that we could use to learn how users interact with different types of emails.
The app had to be user-friendly and relatable, so we needed it to look very similar to popular email platforms. We needed to be able to create and edit mock emails on the admin side that would then be presented to users. We provided the nuts and bolts of the project idea, specifications, and mock-ups, but havenocode did make some improvements to the UI/UX.
What is the team composition?
I’ve interacted with Emil (Client Partner) and one of havenocode’s developers.
How did you come to work with havenocode?
Bubble featured a marketplace of third-party developers who could build products on Bubble. I did some research and discovered that the starting rates of most developers were too high considering the simplicity of our project. havenocode looked at the actual specs of our project and quoted us a reasonable price, so we partnered with havenocode.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $2,000 with havenocode.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with havenocode from January–March 2022. They developed our prototype in about five weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They exceeded my expectations. By week three or four, they gave me a test version that I was able to test with users as preliminary research use cases. Based on those use cases, we ended up with a list of things to implement that were above and beyond the original scope, and havenocode was more than happy to make additional changes. A lot of other companies would have required a change order and additional costs for that work.
How did havenocode perform from a project management standpoint?
They were exceptional at communication and always followed up in a timely manner via email and Google Meet. We held weekly check-ins at the end of each sprint so they could demonstrate their progress visually, which was helpful.
Whenever I reached out to them, they always responded within 12 hours, even though they’re located in Poland and operating from a different time zone. Upfront, they quoted the project for 4–5 weeks. Even when we had some misunderstanding about a certain feature or the design, they were able to follow up quickly and speed up the process. I anticipated that development might take longer based on my experience with other vendors, but havenocode was spot-on about their timing.
They delivered right on budget, with the small exception of a $20 tool that they needed to purchase in order to implement one of our planned features. They were completely transparent about that, and it didn’t affect the project’s timing.
What did you find most impressive about them?
havenocode’s communication skills were a strong point. They really seemed to understand the central importance of the end user’s experience.
Are there any areas they could improve?
For the second version of this product, the scope will be much bigger, so I might have more to share after that phase of development. For now, I don’t know of anything that havenocode could have done better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
With any partner, make your expectations clear to avoid any confusion. Get it down on paper so both parties can agree and understand.
