I am the owner of Halogen Designs, LLC based out of Indianapolis Indiana. We help solve our customers' business problems using technology solutions. Our ideal customers have complex, enterprise or mid market level needs and are interested in outsourcing all or part of their application development. We also focus on project management and DevOps.

I have worked with Hashe Computer Solutions for more than 10 years on various projects. Hashe is one of our trusted technology partners. Hashe employees a team of about 8 people to work on my projects including UX designers, full stack developers, mobile development specialists, and a top level project manager. I hired them to solve scalability issues with fluctuating demand. They augment my core team and my customer's team.

What were your goals for this project?

The specific project in question was developing micro-services and applications to connect to an existing, on-premise ERP. The ERP was custom developed and contained sensitive PHI so we could not access it directly. The customer created a robust API engine based on our guidance. Hashe then created several mobile and web app interfaces which connect to the ERP engine. This was originally a six month project. The customer extended the engagement and has expanded its scope several times since 2016.

How did you select this vendor?

I have used several outsourcing companies, both onshore and offshore over the years. We have experience with companies in India, Pakistan, and several East Asian countries as well. I select Mamoon's team at Hashe Computer Solutions for a few reasons. The biggest was prior experience. We have successfully completed projects which ranged over 250k down to a few thousand together. Over the years, they've been able to 'make it right' when things go wrong. This is a huge reason I've continued using their services, even when cheaper options are available.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

For the project in question, Hashe used PHP and Nosql hosted on a cloud computing platform. The front end was composed of Xamarin for the mobile apps and Angular for the web apps. This project was actually one of the original projects they performed under the Scrum/Agile development process. We used Jira for managing it. Both the end client, my team, and Hashe leveraged Jira.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The end customer has sold our software packages more than 10 times since its creation. These are highly customized and vertical specific packages which have a very small target audience. They have been able to secure annual maintenance contracts on the software as well, growing their end business. The single biggest benefit in my mind however, is that we helped the customer understand new revenue models. One of the software applications was built as SaaS which is a new frontier for our end customer. This was Hashe's idea.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used Agile/scrum based development for this project. It was out first project using scrum so we did run into some initial issues, however Hashe did hire a very experienced scrum master to run the project. After the team was comfortable with the new process and tool (Jira), the project management was much more smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Hashe was willing to show me initial results on our very first engagement before accepting any payment. On a future engagement, Hashe made strategic hires to help support a large project I had. I was able to review the resumes and participate in interviews.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In the past, many processes were informal. While it creates a comfortable work environment, it also allows for inconsistent results or processes between projects. Hashe has been standardizing its processes throughout 2019 including weekly team trainings (I.e. Scrum, cyber security, compliance, etc). I would recommend they continue this process and focus on growing within their core competencies.

I’m a founding partner of a corporate advisors group.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hashe Computer Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.?

We’re building a scalable practice in the 401k industry and we needed the ability to automate our manual processes. To achieve this, we hired Hashe to develop a fully integrated website as well as a plug-in for an existing software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first thing that we had Hashe do was build a custom plugin off of a website called 401kplans.com. We then integrated that plug-in into a custom website so that we could grab data from 401kplans.com in an automated fashion. The team also integrated a custom version of Salesforce into our site.

We currently have Hashe on retainer for our web maintenance needs. They continue to be our web and software development resource. 

What is the team composition?

We had five full-time developers dedicated to us during the course of the initial project. We now work with three developers on retainer and have Mamoon (Director & CEO) as our primary point of contact.

How did you come to work with Hashe Computer Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.?

We got to know of Hashe through the company that owns the 401kplans.com website since they were the ones who built that site in the first place. It made sense for us to use their team since they created the website and core tool from which we would build off the plug-in. The fact that they were among the biggest consulting firms in the US also factored into our decision.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $500,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began around January 2020. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With Hashe, we were able to build an automated model of what used to be a manual, advisor-driven process. Our users can now log into our website, type in data, and receive their needed information. Our main metric is the functionality of the fully integrated site, so we consider the project a success in that the final product works.

How did Hashe Computer Solutions (Pvt) Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They performed really well on this front. We used Jira to manage the development process and Slack to communicate. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The one thing that truly distinguishes Hashe from other vendors is their responsiveness. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Besides the inconvenience of our time difference, which they can’t really do anything about, there’s nothing that Hashe could’ve done differently. They did a great job and were very well-priced.

We contract with Hashe for complex custom software development projects that have web based integration requirements. They are expert and product development, project management, software design, training, documentation and post product support.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I have been working with Hashe for over 8 years. The deciding factor has been the groups clear focus on expert outcomes and over and above dedication to project completion, on time and within budget!

They designed a web-based project management platform with mobile access and an admin dashboard that integrates with Quickbooks for scheduling contractors to complete onsite job duties and then billing of the client with before/after pictures, job details, dates, services, materials used, etc.

Hashe used an array of digital team members including UI/UX developer, QA manager, project manager, coders and graphic designers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Client was extremely happy with the GUI and easy ability to manage projects. It helped them eliminate the need for several unconnected digitial tools that required massive duplication of effort! They plan to license and sell the software to similar companies as well.

They regularly met deadlines, used tools such as basecamp and Miro to track and visually document development steps.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Communication was the key and several tools used for development and project management including Miro allowed the client to be fully in tune with each step of the process.

The client, H2o Environmental Services needed a database system for their customers to login and view water test documents, including: Contract Documents, Temps, Showerhead Certs, Chlorination Certs, Water Sample Results, RAMS, Executive Summary, Legionella Risk Assessment.

We had an existing business relationship with Hashe.

• Provide a Client Portal so they can upload customer files so customers can login and view/download their files.
• Design Very important - the design should follow the characteristics (colours, graphics) of the current website.
• Client access to the Portal would be to click on a 'Client Portal’ button on the Home page.
• Admin functions
• Secure login function, including password reset mechanism.
• Add/change/delete client user accounts, including reset user passwords.
• A client account ID will be their email address. Client accounts would include Company Name, User ID, Password.
• Add/change/delete client user folders and sub-folders.
• Folders and subfolders can be given names when created. New folders always appear at the top.
• Upload files to a folder/sub-folder. • An auto-generated email to the client which tells them documents have been added to their portal.

We launched the project on time. It enabled our client to move from sharing documents to their customers from Dropbox to a tailored system where the customer has an account which they can login and view all of their documents, including history.

The personal service. We have worked with them for over 12 years.

The name “Loebig Ink” was originally established in 1999 in Philadelphia, PA with the associated domain name LoebigInk.com. Little did I know back then, that a simple hobby site would eventually become a full service web design agency and consulting career supported by over 10 subcontractors and countless referral partners. In 2010, Loebig Ink was launched as a full time web consulting business in Richmond, VA and founded on the principles of integrity, trust and sleep deprivation. We call it the “midnight club”. The business moved in 2012 to Bethesda Maryland in the Washington, DC area with a wider scope and expanding team of social media, SEO, web and graphic design professionals.

Loebig Ink primarily uses Hashe Group to assist with custom wordpress design projects, website speed optimization, and website updates. This particular project involved a tight deadline of 30-60 days to get the website completely re-designed for a large organization.

We have worked with this group in the past and they always go the extra mile to make sure everything is done right and in a timely manner.

We turned around the entire website re-design in just shy of 45 days.

We utilized basecamp, google hang outs, go to meeting and zeplin for communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to be flexible even in a different timezone and be available to speak directly with the client and go the extra mile when needed to make the client happy.

Communication was a little lacking at times, but what was the most impressive is they took the feedback from both the client and myself as the third party Project Manager and really stepped up their game to get this completed on time and above and beyond the client's expectations!

I’m the founder and CEO of a financial technology company focused on 401(k) plans.

Software development for multiple portals for an online marketplace to compare 401(k) plans.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them through a referral. They had great references, were reasonably priced and were willing to hit our deadlines.

Developed multiple portals and a very sophisticated application that is interstates with many data sources.

We were able to reduce the time it takes a financial advisor to shop a clients 401(k) plan from 10+ hours to less than 10 minutes.

Their work ethic is outstanding.
