We searched online for reasonably priced web developers with good reviews. Groovy quickly stood out got our attentio. We sent out a few enquires to different people but after communicating with one Groovy's representatives we decided that they best exemplified what we were looking for.

We started off by discussing our vision for the website and app and quickly got a proposal from Groovy outlining a time line with milestones and costs. Once we were satisfied we signed up and the project began. We were quickly astounded with the speed and dedication that the members of Groovy started knocking off the deliverables. The also kept in constant communication with us and were open to suggestions and discussions on what was practical and feesable and were quite accomodating where it was possible. We are more than satisfied.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We haven't opened to the public yet but if i can update this later I'm sure the feedback will be positive.

We had daily communication with the team. The difference in timezones made things a little awkward at times but I was always shocked when I'd send them a message at what should have been very late at night for them expecting a response the following day, but someone was up working. Their work ethic and dedication was extremely impressive. We communicated via Skype and if we had a suggestion or change the fixes would be done almost instantly, if not within a day or two.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We loved their openness to suggestions. We pretty much got 98% of what we asked for and the other 2% probably were a bad idea anyway. It blew our minds how hard and how fast these people were working and their engagement with us throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was also A1.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have no complaints about them, even with our timezone differences they still responded faster than expected and always with positive news.

I am the director of a startup investing company that provides education and software to help people learn a new way to invest.

I was building this business from scratch and needed a specific and rather complex piece of software that was able to collect data from multiple sources and display it all together in an interactive and easy to understand table.

They designed the software I required over the course of 10 weeks which was the timeline originally set out in our agreement. They used a variety of methods to collect all the data I require and display it on a website they provided for me.

My project manager was Ashok and 95% of my communication was with him. He was extremely helpful, responsive, and patient. He explained to me every step of my project and kept me updated. He ensure he knew exactly what I wanted and was able to deliver that to me. I'm not sure exactly how many people were apart of the team for my project but I am thankful to them all for their great work.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch the project on time and with everything working as required. They provided quality assurance as well as a generous support period of 6 months where they will fix any bugs and help me as I adjust to using my new product.

The project management was exceptional. I am from Australia so all of our communication was online. Our main means of communication was Skype and Email. I was initially worried that our timezones may be an issue with communication but Ashok and Groovy Web were extremely flexible in this regard.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I had direct access to my project manager who was able to deliver all that was required and answer all of my questions. The cost of this project was extremely reasonable and much less than all competitors. Initially I was worried that this may compromise quality however the work that was provided was of the highest quality.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I am extremely happy with the work of Groovy Web and Ashok and at this stage I have no complaints.

I'm the Director of IT for a Behavioral Health organization. We are a non-profit organization where we treat non-violent crime inmates at our facility 24/7. We have multiple campus in Texas.

We didn't have any form of digital medium to store information regarding our patients admission and/or therapy treatment note charts. Thus we hire Groovy Web to custom develop a web based application for our employees to use. Our goal was to get away from using paper forms that are provided by the federal and state government agency and to digitalize this whole process .

We went through an extensive research of various software development companies across multiple countries to find the best fit for us. We select Groovy Web as they shown that they can handle complex project with an open minded for mutually work with our stake holders here in the US to define and develop our project through out the system development life cycle.

From the initial analysis phase of the project and throughout the life cycle, our team work very closely with Mr. Sagar Patel (their Solution Architect) on a daily process. Mr. Patel and his team of developers are very accommodating to our requirements. We set up metrics to measure the quality of code that are portability, reusability, reliable, and maintainable. They are able to adhere to all of our standards and requirements.

We know from the beginning that if we are to have a successful project, we must have a solid SOW define. Mr. Patel work very closely with us to understand our requirements of our schedules, our objectives, our standards, milestones, payments and responsibility.

Aside from Mr. Patel as the main solution architect, Groovy Web provide us 10 others that are working on our project: business analyst, project manager, senior app developer, database manager, senior back-end developer, quality control manager

Our project is rather large and our stakeholders are extremely please with the progress as every time we go through the user acceptance phase of each module that are completed, their comments were WOW... As our director of IT, I feel that we made the right decision to select Groovy Web as the best development team for our needs.

Throughout our development life cycle, Mr. Patel and his team communicate with us on a daily process. We might be 1000 miles apart, but they make me feel like they are my very own "in-house" team here in the US, as they are always available to work with me at any time. Days or Nights even on weekend when I need it.

Quality and friendliness is what I like best about Groovy developers, they provide top notch quality when we ask to review and walk through. From TOP DOWN, Mr. Patel and his team really goes out of their way to make sure they fully understand our requirements and also brain storm ideas with us to come up with a better solution than maybe what I had thought. Very impressive.

Since our project is an ongoing continuing project, as we continue to add more module to our project, it is hard to find an area where they can improve yet.

Our client implemented a third party platform for the management of their day to fire systems projects and services. The client required a web customer portal to interface to this platform to provide real time analytics and reporting for their clients

The Customer Web Portal is about to launch and my client is extremely impressed so far with the solution has that been designed and built.

Having worked with numerous software development business around the world over the last 25 years, the communication of the entire team involved was outstanding. They take customer service very seriously and they work as a trusted partner. They are very flexible and were willing to work with my teams tools rather than enforcing the use of their project management tools. We talked regularly via zoom and almost daily on chat.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Trust, Trust, Trust and Teamwork. That is hard to find when working with an offshore team to deliver what you have promised to your local clients. They dont tell you what you want to hear and over promise. They are honest in everything they do and deliver what they have committed.

Having almost delivered with our first project with Groovy for our onshore client, we are confident we have found our long term partner for all our future projects. I very rarely write reviews for my IT partners. But considering the ease at which they have over-delivered to me and my client, they warrant the utmost praise.

I had built a mobile app from scratch, but it was not properly defined, so we needed help from Groovy. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided my research and ideas for design, along with a defined product roadmap. Then, Groovy proposed several additional designs and did extensive research on how things like payment options needed to be done in this area. 

So far, they’ve tweaked the roadmap and divided the features into multiple deliverables from MVP to finished product. After that, they’ve rebuilt the app for iOS and Android using React Native. They’ve also integrated an analytics platform on the web and upgraded our backend from .NET to PHP for efficiency.

Groovy delivered the mobile app. We’ve tested it with 2,000 people and received positive feedback. We expect to see it take off with great results. Based on the research done, the app’s look and feel and ease of use are exactly what the market wants.

The Groovy team is communicative, proactive, and transparent. They keep us informed and share source code, platforms, and everything else to make the engagement run smoothly. We use Jira, and communicate via Slack and phone.

Their upper management is friendly and makes themselves available. They’re reliable and work quickly on anything we give to them, usually finishing tasks the next day.

Groovy can still improve the scope of the app’s functionalities and do more research to define them. They’re already working to improve on that.

I needed Groovy Web to help me with backend development for a couple of projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Groovy Web provides a wide range of services to our company and clients including design and development for websites, web apps, and mobile apps. The specifics differ from project to project, and they use different technologies such as PHP, Laravel, React, Node, and JavaScript.

They do most of the R&D because the clients normally have very basic needs, but their expectations are very high. We work on a lot of details, like the guidelines and expectations, and deliver it to the client for approval before we start to work.

It depends on the technologies we need because they have specific people for each technology. Normally, we work with around 8–10 people for each project, including project, company, and sales managers. We also work with different types of developers who specialize in mobile and front- and backend.

We use Trello to manage the projects. We put the tasks in and work in an agile way in sprints. They deliver the sprint, and we put it in the development server to test. Then, we push it to the production server.

In terms of communication, we usually communicate via email and Skype.

Some of their staff don’t speak English well. That’s something that needs improvement on their side. There’s a place for better communication skills.

Groovy Web LLP owing to their vase experience truly saw the innovation and they were upto the mark. But in the event we decided to go with Groovy Web LLP cause they were only ones who truly owned the project. They were always there to guide us in the process, they were outstanding when it came to follow ups and meetings. So they were the clear choice in the end.

Groovy Web LLP was in charge of the complete design, development and deployment. The complete project was coded ground up in the MEAN stack. The first phase was that they shared the DB schema which was spot on. Then the logic and then the front end. The complete process followed with constant meeting every week and the complete sprints were spot on. Every time they were there for us and they made sure that every timeline was met. Their QA, and testing was also very comprehensive and they made sure that they had delivered the right product. The bugs and issues pointed from our side were resolved almost instantly and overall Groovy Web LLP was able to deliver a remarkable product

Groovy Web LLP appointed a team of 4-5 people with Mr. Sagar as the project manager, who was very professional and efficient in his work. We loved working with him and owing to his commitment we have surely decided they Groovy Web LLP will be our IT partners for an indefinite period. Right now the project is close to its launch and we are done from our end. Groovy Web LLP has also made sure that it wont give us any surprises in the launch phase. Groovy Web LLP will be with us during the launch they have given us a maintenance period along with this project and we hope that as project they stick with us in the same way as they were with us in the development phase.

The complete project was managed on trello. And it was managed very efficiently. The meetings took place on skype using regular screen shares and demos. There was a WhatsApp group as well that helped us in instant communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think their level of professionalism and sense of ownership in the project are most impressive. Whenever we wanted to add or edit something they were always there for us, rather they would on their suggest something better, if it that took more development time. They would do that in the same cost. All their meeting and deadlines were on time and i cant recall that a single dead line was missed.

Our business model is helping people lose weight and then making these people become mentor under us to help others. The end goal is to build the team under us similar to any MLM business.

The mentor needs to follow up with clients doing the program daily to check their progress and act in case of no weight loss or other concerns. The main problem faced by the Mentor is that they busy generating new leads. This results in they have less time to respond to active clients in a timely manner.

Moreover, there are multiple channels for communication - Facebook messenger, WhatsApp and SMS that leads to disconnected communication and things are lost in the complexity.

The project was to build a mobile native app to provide collaboration between Mentor and Mentee. It needs to leverage automation to help mentor on periodic and repetitive tasks.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Initially, we faced a challenge like any other projects but once the process was set, the journey was very smooth. Requirement with references really helped their team. We also ensure to understand that they are overseas and were always available for queries.

We followed the design phase first with clickable UX to ensure we all are aligned. We used Whatsapp and Skype for communication with a regular product demonstration. We leveraged Trello for the issue and requirement tracking that was really helpful. I think respect for each other and outcome focus helped the success of the project

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed by their director's technical skill followed by their commitment to making us successful. They went the extra mile to help us and always advised us whenever the project deviated.

“No matter how much experience you have, there’s always something new you can learn and room for improvement.”

The area of improvement is to give the client enough advance notice on expectation from them. Better define a process which has each milestone with deliverable required from them and client. This will provide client time to arrange stuff way ahead and reduce unnecessary pressure

Groovy The Web Firm built my website from the ground up. They also developed our iOS and Android mobile apps from scratch. There are two versions of our system, for customers and massage therapists, respectively.

Groovy The Web Firm provided all the design work for the frontend. Features include a timer, a messaging system, and payment options. Both types of users can create and edit their profiles, which include the option to upload a picture.

I’ve worked with three different app developers in the past and Groovy The Web Firm impressed me the most. I’m very happy with the results they delivered and how fast they’ve gotten everything done.

The product is finished at this point, but Groovy The Web Firm is still testing small aspects of it. Our users have been very pleased with the app. People who have used it so far have said it’s fast and smooth.

Groovy The Web Firm has excellent communication. They’re quick to reply and deliver. The app they created is very impressive. They have the ability to understand the requirements for a project quickly.
