Branding Services for Care Sector Network
“The team has delivered everything I’ve wanted and has laid it out in such a way that helps me understand it.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and owner of The CARE Connector Network, a network for the care sector.
What challenge were you trying to address with The Great Field?
Our company is quite new — we’ve only been around since 2021. We wanted to get our messaging right and out to the sector so that there was an understanding of who we are.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The Great Field is helping me with the roadmap of my business. They’ve spent time interviewing me to give me clarity on the business side of things. The focus has been on written content, particularly consistency and ensuring that our branding can keep people engaged. We’ve looked at what the company is about, the messaging, and the tone of voice.
They've helped us look at our overall branding, and we’ve also worked on keywords to get the information across consistently for our clients. We have two types of clients: the care sector, where we provide our services for free, and suppliers, from whom we charge a small membership fee. The Great Field’s team has created our mission, vision, and values. Even though it’s not our focus, I’ve also talked to them about the logo side of things, and they’ve advised us about creating a branded logo.
I want our network to go global, so The Great Field has offered social media and help with the company's international branding for the future.
What is the team composition?
I only work with Jamie (Founder), though I’m not sure if he has more people working in the background.
How did you come to work with The Great Field?
I found them through LinkedIn, where I started a conversation with Jamie. I went with The Great Field because they offered something concrete, and they understood me, my business, and my goals, which was the biggest factor.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent under £5,000 GBP (approximately $6,000 USD). They’ve offered this pricing as part of their network membership.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around March 2022, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since working with The Great Field, our membership has increased by about 150 people. There’s also an increase in activity regarding our partnerships. For example, we’ve partnered with an events company that approached us due to our branding.
I’m launching a new platform, and the team’s work has been a game-changer because it has created a partnership that will help us take things to a completely different level. The Great Field has also become a member of our network and is helping other members with their problems, getting roadmaps in place, and correcting their content and wording.
Additionally, Jamie is easy to work with because he’s very personable, and he listens to what I say rather than constantly trying to tell me what to do. He understands my vision and can write it down. I’m dyslexic, so I find putting words on paper quite difficult, and Jamie has been a massive help in getting that for me.
How did The Great Field perform from a project management standpoint?
They work very quickly. We communicate through messaging, and sometimes we have Zoom calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed by how The Great Field gets my company. They listen to what I’m saying and understand what I’m trying to achieve. The team has delivered everything I’ve wanted and has laid it out in such a way that helps me understand it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything they could do better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be yourself! When you speak to The Great Field, you don’t need to try and think about what they want from you. Just be open, and they’ll sift through everything and put your brand into what it needs to be for you.

Brand Strategy for Web App Development & Marketing Agency
"We found their attention to detail, their ability to understand the company better than we understood it ourselves."

Please describe your company and your position there.
We're Yeti, a web-app development and marketing agency, and I'm Craig, the Director.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
We were assisting one of our clients who were struggling to articulate their company's ethos and ethics in a manner that would resonate with the (many) target audiences they had (that they also needed help defining).
What were your goals for this project?
We were looking for an experienced team that could assist us in defining their target audiences, so we strategise communicating with them more effectively. We were also looking for guidance in creating a messaging that resonated with them.
How did you select The Great Field?
We believe that at the core of our client's company, they have a purpose the drives them and their customers outside of personal gain - and this is why we approached The Great Field for their expertise.
After a couple of conversations, we could tell that purpose was at the heart of their work, and that we'd be a great fit. They're also a 1% for the planet member which was the icing on the cake.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We worked together on crafting a brand strategy roadmap that included defining target audience(s) (and where to find them). We discussed the company's culture and tone of voice, brand attributes, and something which was extremely valuable; the company's mission statement.
We thought that the 'mission statement' was dead, but apparently not. When you have a mission statement that not only drives forth action for the company but also customers, then you've got a mission statement that's valuable. The Great Field 'knocked it out the park' here.
The target audiences were defined by demographics, story, needs and solutions. The Great Field also laid out an initial plan of hierarchy tasks for outreach. We've started implementing these with our in-house team but I believe The Great Field also can build these assets out.
What was the team composition?
We worked closely with Jamie who's a rock-star. Amy was extremely valuable in the creation of the roadmap too!
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We've only just started implementing the roadmap's awareness recommendations, so we can't comment on the effectiveness of the company's target audience work etc.
But we've already saved tens-of-hours on strategy; as, with this clear understanding of what the company stands for, whom we're speaking to, and how to deliver value, marketing seems easy.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Great workflow with The Great Field.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We found their attention to detail, their ability to understand the company better than we understood it ourselves. Their research of target audiences, and their communication.
Are there any areas for improvement?
My attempt at convincing Jamie to join our team would have been successful lol.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m the artistic director of The Electric Sunshine Project. We aim to increase connection to the arts for those less exposed to them by hosting workshops, events, projects, and performances.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
We needed to launch a new brand around our show. It had complex messaging that we wanted to communicate with text and design in print, online, and via social media.
What were your goals for this project?
We aimed to position our new company as a high-quality offering that was different from others around it. We also wanted to attract key stakeholders.
How did you select this vendor?
We had a previous working relationship with several individuals from their organization. Based on those experiences, we knew they could handle complex messaging and develop beautiful graphics. They were our first choice, but we were concerned about our budget. Thankfully, they offered us an exceptionally reasonable rate.
Describe the project in detail.
We started the project with an email and phone call where we shared our initial thoughts and then brought in designers to iron out the details. They interpreted the jumble of ideas in my head clearly and beautifully, consulting on what type of print we should aim for and how we ought to structure the campaign. They repurposed and created content to flesh out our effort and provided online support.
What was the team composition?
We worked with a team of two, but we also had a single point of contact. This made communication exceedingly easy.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We surpassed our initial audience numbers and hit our target sales. Aside from hard statistics, The Great Field created an entire experience full of interactive programs that both conveyed information to the public and stuck in their minds for their inherent quality. People commented that the quality of the artwork was one of the reasons they enjoyed the experience so much.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was open and clear at all stages. I cannot recommend The Great Field's work highly enough. From initial conversations, through the design process, and to the stunning result, they were a joy to work with.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Whenever we work with them, audiences comment on how beautiful the artwork is and how well it complements our brand. It clearly articulates what we're trying to achieve.

For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
Brand design and messaging. To gain traction with local authorities to help make our mark and visualise us as a serious organisation wanting to make positive change.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They had direct expertise in our field and had worked with another like-minded company we admire. They demonstrated an in-depth understanding of inclusivity as opposed to disability.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Initial sound boarding consultation to go over our objectives and aims and then a follow up meeting to discuss their ideas and proposals, which we loved.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked directly with Founder Jamie.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since working with The Great Field we have gained not only interest from, but have developed good working relationships with, local councillors and several high profile businesses.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Really smooth. Jamie was always available and kept me informed at every stage. I felt really well looked after.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They understand our vision and what we’re trying to achieve. They just ‘got it’. The process was really smooth too. The end result surpassed our expectations.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not from our experience. Our project was seamless.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of Social Sound; an online radio show that is specifically focused at music enthusiasts. We have an approachable left-field vibe and strive to maintain an unpretentious attitude.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
Brand naming. Messaging. Overall brand identity design.
What were your goals for this project?
We already had a few hundred listeners, but wanted to build on an already established community and gain more interaction with like-minded listeners.
How did you select The Great Field?
We came across TGF and their messaging really resonated with us. Doing good work for good people doing good things. As the show was born during lockdown; a big component of our brand is to raise awareness of mental health issues.
Be Inclusive. Funny live chat. Not snobby, but different, with an undercurrent of good vibes. Good music creates good vibes. Good vibes build community. We wanted mental health to be a component for why we exist, but not slapped over your head. We felt TGF could help us achieve this in our brand and messaging.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We started with an online brand workshop which gave us an opportunity to share our history and to work through ideas regards the direction of the show. Within the workshop we looked at brand positioning, our mission statement and made profiles for our ideal customers.
What was the team composition?
I worked directly with Founder Jamie.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Already our listener numbers have increased due to us being able to raise our profile. We've also managed to get higher profile guests to compile mixes.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Seamless. Perfect. They always delivered on time. Did exactly what they told me they were going to do. Never let me down.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Rare find because I was looking for a branding agency that seemed to care about the world/wider community. Had soul rather than just being trendy.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Jamie stressed that TGF are always looking to be better, but I can't think of a way they could be. We just love what they have achieved for us.

Director of Fal Engineering – company that specialises in making precision components for the marine industry.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
Required a professional agency to strengthen our business offering. I hired The Great Field for a brand workshop where they dealt with our market positioning, messaging and brand identity.
What were your goals for this project?
To become more clearer about where our brand sits in the market place and to see where we could better target the right type of business.
How did you select The Great Field?
Referral.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The Great Field facilitated an online workshop which dealt with our brand positioning, its messaging and our customer awareness. We were presented with a fresh identity to which we immediately had a connection with. They then created a style guide and set of assets for the new brand.
What was the team composition?
Myself, dealing directly with Jamie and Amy.

Process definitely helped us to understand where our core market is. Enabled us to focus on the right customers; meaning we don't waste money anymore trying to attract the wrong people.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Use of Zoom made our workshop really easy. Very well organised. Very professional.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The process was simple; the team has obviously spent a lot of time on it. No multiple meetings. No faffing. Turned up when they said they would. A 3 hour workshop and then Jamie and Amy had everything they needed, leaving me free to get on with my day to day.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the director of an interior design studio - we are a small, bespoke team of 3 focusing on residential interior design refurbishments with sustainability at the forefront of our philosophy.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
As a small, independent design company, I have so far been designing the branding and website myself - however, being so close to my own brand means it is sometimes difficult to see the strengths and weaknesses of my brand so I was looking for an external, professional opinion to see where we could develop / strengthen our brand message.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to ensure that there is cohesion and clarity in our brand messaging and to see where we could make improvements.
How did you select The Great Field?
We were acquainted through mutual membership of 1% for the Planet.
Describe the project in detail.
We filled in a questionnaire about our brand, and after that arranged a Zoom conference with Jamie who gave us a thorough breakdown of our entire brand across all platforms, noting many areas where we could clarify or refine the brand message as well as lots of helpful tips for social media, our website etc.
What was the team composition?
I spoke directly with Jamie but I understood that he had received input from various team members before our call.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are currently in contact with a website designer to seek further help based on the comments we received on how we can improve. We are also reviewing the very helpful branding document that we received in detail and updating our brand message across all platforms.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was very easy through email and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their depth of knowledge about their field and the effort that they had gone to review and understand our brand clearly demonstrated a passion and thorough understanding of our market.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder and director of a youth health network in Nigeria, the Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative.
For what projects/services did your company hire The Great Field?
We needed help building a brand feel that suited our work and communicated the story we were hoping to share. We lacked the internal structure/capacity to deliver on this.
What were your goals for this project?
We hoped that this project would elevate the general feeling of our brand for clients and help us reach people who would otherwise not know to be associated with us.
How did you select this vendor?
I took my time from the beginning of the year to start looking for the right company. I looked both online and offline, by searching through top review sites and speaking to friends and workers. I went through The Great Field’s work and saw the heart and time they put into everything they touched. I couldn't rest until I spoke with them.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We started with a series of process meetings, which gave me the opportunity to share the history and intended direction of my organization. This was important in the creative process. We created scenarios about all the possible clients we could get and the ones I hoped to reach out to. The Great Field asked direct questions that helped flesh out our descriptions. After this process, we worked out a timeline for drafts and final version. Afterward, we got a full brand guideline, along with logos and other materials.
What was the team composition?
I worked directly with the president on this project, although I was also informed of other members on the team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our branded products have increased in value and interest just one month after we launched the new brand. What surprised and impressed me most, however, are the various meanings people express when they see the new logo.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They made sure they got every bit of opinion from me as possible so they could put it into their work. They never once made me feel like I wasn’t making sense.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They took this project very seriously, setting timelines and delivering earlier than planned. With each email I received from them, my excitement grew more, and I wasn't disappointed.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No.
