Wimbledon Campaign
Client overview:
American Express offers world-class Charge and Credit Cards, Gift Cards, Rewards, Travel, Personal Savings, Business Services, Insurance and more. They partner with companies such as Hertz to offer outstanding opportunities to their customers.
Problem:
Hertz is a headline sponsor for the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships. They wanted to leverage this opportunity with their database as well as American Express cardholders to get more customers renting cars with Hertz.
Solution:
We built a campaign called ‘From driver’s seat to courtside seat’ and offered selected American Express cardholders the opportunity to win courtside tickets at Wimbledon if they used their Amex card to rent a car with Hertz over a three month period.
The campaign ran in the UK and across Europe and was featured online, door drops and outdoor media. The campaign showed an image from inside the car, and as you moved it back and forth it would change between the driver's seat and the Wimbledon courtside seat.
Result:
The campaign was very successful and it increased brand awareness for Hertz among American express cardholders and increased rentals by 33% over the three month period. It also gave Hertz and Amex an opportunity to meet with customers face to face and build long-lasting brand relations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Got Legs Digital, and what were your goals?
We have transitioned from a ttavelling educational company, travelling to USA, Australia, locations throughout Europe, Engkand and Ireland too. Due to the current climate we have transitioned to an online sales company.
Having paid zero interest over the years to things like SEO we were desperately in need of help in the developemnt area of my website. In terms of goals, I didn't really know the extent of the problem let alone have ideas of where I would like to take the website.
How did you select Got Legs Digital and what were the deciding factors?
Gareth was already working with my wife and it was an obvious ste for me to take.

So far we are two steps through a three part arrangement. Gareth combed the website looking for problems in the first phase and presented them to me for work in the second phase. I saw my website ranking grow from an D to A- and to rise up the league table in comparison to competitors in a number of areas including wesbsite speed on phone and desktop, backlinks, and other web based terms I have only just heard about and no longer remember.
Suffice to say the website is grown and improved so much over the last few months.

Gareth was my main and only point of contcact.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
It's a bit early in the day for deliverables I think, but as mentioned the site ranking went from a D to an A-. SEO on wweb pages rose from 20/100 to 80+/100, social media presence on the website has improved and am sure many other things.
As also mentioned, I am not very technical so very difficult outline an answer. Needless to say I am simply delighted with the turn around in my website and looking forward to what it will bring in return over the coming months - and we still have one phase to work through

I have met with Gareth a handful of times. Once to meet, once to talk through the site, once to be presented with the state of the website and a final time (so far) to see the differences he has made in the short time we have been working together. Gareth has produced timely and satisfactory results that were beyond my expectations.

We have had weekly online sessions to go through, check, and implement any changes to take me closer to my goal. We wanted to start to grow our online audience and sell our hand-drawn illustrations to more people, while at the same time re engaging our existing audience to encourage repeat purchases every year. We knew that we needed to grow our database and start advertising online, but we didn’t know where to start. The first goals was how do we grow our database. We wanted new customers and we wanted to launch a newsletter that we would give away free items. Next, we wanted to reconnect with our existing and past customers to try and increase our sales. Next they build an internal newsletter sequence which we emailed to our database and we gave away items every month for free. Over two month we saw our sales double by implementing this newsletter. Lastly we started running Facebook and Instagram adverts which grew our fan base, increased sales and resulted in an 100% increase in sales.

I think that the project was very successful. We grew our database by 300% over a few months, we started an email newsletter sequence which double our sales in the first two month and we saw a 100% increase in sales after we started running Facebook ads.

Set up Rose Gold Obsessed Facebook Advertising, Install a Facebook Pixel, design and write our Facebook adverts, track the results of the Facebook campaigns, increase the number of people who sign up for our further communications and report back to let us know how it is performing.

Gareth was my point of contact throughout the campaign. I spoke with him when I had a problem and we had regular catchups. He treated me like I was his only customer.

The campaign has been very successful, and we are very pleased with the results so far. I don’t have the end of month numbers, but we are definitely up on our sales from last month which is great. While working with Got Legs they have surpassed our initial target of 27% and we are tracking around about 32% up month on month.

It has been good. If I have a problem, I can speak with Gareth and he will sort it out. They have been very detailed in their workings with us. I can't complain about anything at this stage.

In my dealings with Got Legs Digital, they have treated me like I was their only client, which I really appreciated. So many times you work with agencies and you end up working with a junior person. They made me feel important.
