I’m the Marketing Manager in Russia for BlaBlaCar, an intercity ridesharing service.

What challenge were you trying to address with Go Mobile?

We wanted to expand our user acquisition via mobile.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Go Mobile has served as an outsourced marketing agency for us doing mobile advertising. They’ve run ad marketing campaigns on multiple channels. They started with Google Admob and expanded to a variety of mobile in-app networks like InMobi and YouAppi. They’re running DoubleClick ads for us and have done some ads for Facebook and Twitter.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is the account manager and we work with up to four or five others.

How did you come to work with Go Mobile?

We were referred to them by another company who suggested that they were professional and good.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent maybe $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in late 2016 and still do.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At one point, they were delivering us a third of all our mobile traffic. We're scaling a lot and they have delivered great performance. We already had a large user base and other marketing channels were delivering for us in large volumes. It wasn’t a gamechanger but it’s been very high quality and good volume for mobile traffic.

How did Go Mobile perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via Skype and Telegram as well as email and phone which meant we had lots of channels available to us. They’re also based in Moscow so we met in-person a few times. I was their primary contact so they didn’t require too much manpower from our side.

They don’t request too much time for testing like other agencies seem to. They can evaluate each channel for us before we even start working with it. They deliver on the results they have promised by the deadline.

They’re very proactive and do a lot of things on their own. They always respond very quickly. They deliver budgets or performance analysis within a couple of days of a request. There has never been any problem that we couldn’t discuss and solve. Everything has been great—fast and easy. They’ve been better than many other agencies we’ve worked with.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism. Their helpful account managers are always ready to fulfill any requests. Their targeting specialists are always happy to explain. They don’t give false promises: everything we agree to is done. Contracts are completed quickly; an invoice requested for Friday is delivered by that day. That’s their professionalism. They manage high performance and we haven’t had any problems.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe but I haven’t seen any problems with them at this point.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Just do it. They're good guys. It's a pleasure to work with them. You shouldn’t hesitate.

Also, always be straightforward with them. You can trust them with your numbers and access to your analytical system.

For what projects/services did your company hire Go Mobile?

We needed to launch ads in several countries of Europe as well as Australia, Canada, and the U.S. We wanted to use MyTarget, Facebook, and Google AdWords to get clients to make purchases using our mobile app.

What were your goals for this project?

Our number of affiliates was increasing at the time, as we wanted to focus on the ones that had lots of traffic.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Go Mobile approached us and presented their previous e-commerce work with significant clients. Their affiliation with Google stood out to us too. The test campaign we did with them was successful, so we continued our collaboration.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Go Mobile prepares banners featuring the products from our app and sends them to us for approval. We evaluate the quality and check the goods on the banners for compliance with our app. Once that’s done, they’ll launch the banners on our affiliate sites and optimize the campaigns. We go over the reports and bills together every month.

What was the team composition?

Their team consists of account managers, a few media buyers, analytics specialists, and a couple of designers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Go Mobile made it through our testing period, which isn’t easy to do. We work using a revenue sharing model, so their profitability depends on them.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their communication is good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re honest and perform consistently. They’ve produced a good average revenue per user. Their design team is also really creative.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they could deliver more traffic with the same quality.
