I’m the CEO of a credit provision software company. We integrate into other software companies’ websites or within their software across a variety of industries to allow them to extend credit to their users.

What challenge were you trying to address with Glow Design Agency?

They provided comprehensive design services to help us build out our new website, user dashboard, and internal underwriting dashboard as well.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Some of their design work, including the website and client dashboard, was provided from scratch, and the internal dashboard component was a redesign of existing elements that we already had in place.

In the end, they delivered a clickable prototype presentation in Figma that allowed us to navigate between different areas and screens including all of the color schemes and layouts that they created to incorporate the logo and content that we had started with.

Our team worked with two individuals from Glow Design Agency, both of whom were UI/UX designers who reported directly to us.

We found them online, where they applied to work on the project. They impressed us with their skillset and communication, so we decided to bring them on.

The total cost of the project has been around $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

They started working with us in December 2019, and we are still working together.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m extremely happy with the quality of the designs that they provided for us. It was extremely hard to find a designer who met all the requirements that we were looking for in terms of expertise, adaptability, and intelligence, so it has been great working with them. This project was the best experience working with a designer that I’ve ever had.

How did Glow Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team exceeded my expectations with regard to organization and communication. We used Slack and Figma to keep track of the designs and comment on them when we wanted to make changes, and they did a great job of taking notes and really listening to what we were saying and what we wanted to accomplish. Because of that, they were able to translate all of that into a deliverable that fit within the requirements of our scope.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to take in complex, industry-specific information and process it quickly is incredibly impressive. I’m convinced that was the secret behind the success of the project because they never brought us a first draft that wasn’t in the right direction toward where we had intended for them to go.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything in particular that they should have done better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you need them for. From their perspective, I could tell that there was less of a preference to work on stuff that isn’t totally within their area of expertise and focus, so I would just advise people to make sure you’re hiring them for the right thing. If you communicate that to them properly, then you are going to get outstanding work.

We needed frontend design services.

We worked with them to redesign our entire app and developed the design kit that we can use as we incorporate new features into our work. Our original solution was pretty rough around the edges, and they redesigned the whole thing to be more unified.

They implemented their work by building it on top of our existing app. With the final solution, users can track vehicles in real-time and formulate reports. We’re continuing to work with them whenever we need design work. It’s sort of a forever relationship.

The usability and reliability of the solution were perfect.

They were great at managing the project and meeting deadlines. We handled all the management, but they completed everything according to our timelines. They worked through different ideas and made appropriate revisions.

They deeply thought through problems and came up with several different solutions to them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’re top-notch when it comes to design. It may be nice if they brought in some coding resources, though.

Have all the information ready for them beforehand. They need to know your product to make it successful, so making sure you’re ready is key.

We hired Glow to design the UI/UX of our smart parking application.

We selected Glow out of a handful of candidates because their portfolio looked amazing and they seemed incredibly easy to work with.

We conducted quite a bit of initial market research and worked with other industry professionals to create a requirements document that we then handed off to Glow to help us explain our initial vision.

Our wireframes were amazing and the final assets were easy to acquire from them.

Describe the project in detail.

Project was divided into 7 sprints. 1/3 of them for wireframes/UX. 2/3 for UI and the rest for illustrations and improvments. We had after every sprint a meeting to discuss the results.

During the Project we improved our existing ideas to make the UX easier and better, because of the input from glow and discussion with them.
