So far, everything has gone well. At the end of 2022, we had a change in the resources, but Glorium Technologies found a new developer. We lost a bit of time training him, but it wasn’t a big issue. We’ve worked with the new resource for five months, and he has performed really well.
How did Glorium Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We have a daily meeting with the developer, the project manager, and the QA person. We also have a monthly meeting with the operational manager; it’s usually only a five-minute discussion because everything’s good.
We communicate via email and phone calls. Additionally, we use Microsoft Teams for our meetings.

We’re happy with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We have an internal QA resource, so we don’t need their project management resources, but they require them. Since they only do 10% of project management and 10% of this project, it’s okay.

The platform we needed was developed on .Net. It helps patients find the right specialist, make an appointment online, get notification about the appointment, and access the results of examinations and treatment.
On the other hand, doctors can view each patient's medical history at any time, view their appointment schedule, and send the necessary materials to related specialists as needed. The critical point is that it is an integrated solution and not just a CRM or ERP – this approach solved the problem of synchronizing the new software with the existing systems in the clinic.

They’ve helped us a lot, with great communication and delivery. The pipeline was top-notch, and we’ve managed to decrease the churn rate drastically. They delivered an ML pipeline that predicted the probability of tenant churn, can continuously improve its accuracy by training on more data and provided extensive model explainability.

Glorium Technologie's communication was one of the best parts of working with them. For me, it was critical to understand all major aspects. Sometimes they politely explained me things twice, not giving up until I got everything correctly. We were using their corporate MS Teams for videoconferences, our Slack for chatting, and our Jira+Confluence for task management and document sharing.

The team was flexible, we never had an issue with them that wouldn’t be resolved in the shortest terms possible.

I’m one of the two co-founders at Turtle Health, a health technology startup. We provide at-home diagnostics, testing, and counseling to women and couples.

What challenge were you trying to address with Glorium Technologies?
I brought on Glorium to replace our previous tech team that wasn’t living up to expectations.

What was the scope of their involvement?
We initially brought Glorium on to handle one particular piece of build that was going slowly in terms of integrating with our warehouse. We shared a fair degree of documentation around our existing build and requirements. The team also dug into the documentation to find deeper issues and places where some things might not align with the current build as they came on board.
At present, Glorium is building our frontend, patient-facing portal that’s a combination of a landing page, a patient portal, and a reporting and scheduling tool for patients. They’re also building a backend, provider portal for our partners and providers to view information from patients. They use the backend portal to assemble reports and provide such reports back to patients.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with eight people from their team so far.
How did you come to work with Glorium Technologies?
Glorium was one of the companies that we talked to as we were searching for teams with experience in the US health technology space. We reached out to them via their website and spoke to a number of people from their team.
What stood out to us were the questions they asked. They were more focused on why they wouldn’t be a good fit for the project rather than why they were. In essence, they were upfront in what they could deliver. Moreover, they pressed us on where they saw potential challenges and where they might not have the right experience. Overall, this process allowed them to set expectations that they could live up to, and we appreciated that right off the bat.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $100,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We signed a contract with Glorium in December 2021, and we’ve been working with them full-time since January 2022. The engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
To measure success, we look at the number of actual tickets we’ve completed, along with the issues that we’ve found and resolved. We also check our overall collaboration process with Glorium. Against these metrics, the team has been exceeding our expectations when compared to our previous tech team.
How did Glorium Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Glorium’s project management is truly strong. To communicate, we mainly use Slack and video conferences.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication is extremely strong, and their thoughtfulness as a team focuses on bringing insights to the table. They let us own the vision for the engagement but calibrate it well using their expertise.
Moreover, a significant portion of their team is in Ukraine, and they’ve handled the Russian Invasion of Ukraine unbelievably well — there’s almost no disruption in their work, which is mind-blowing. They’re truly exceptional.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They initially underestimated the difficulty of a certain portion of our project. However, they quickly identified that by themselves, so they resolved it immediately.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear about what level of engagement you want to have with Glorium. They’re willing to be independent, which is great if you want that. If you want to get more involved in the process, make sure that you set the right expectations for everyone’s role.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a project manager for a healthcare education organization. I oversee product launches, mostly on the virtual side of things for mobile and web-hosted solutions. Our company is a leader in healthcare simulation which means training healthcare practitioners using our custom solutions.
We operate in various healthcare organizations such as nursing schools, hospitals, continuing education, and so on. Not only that, but we also work hand-in-hand with medical device manufacturers for training related to their medical devices.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Glorium Technologies?
We came up with a proof of concept internally that we wanted to develop and deploy in a very short time period. The real challenge was the turnaround time. The business initiative and business goal were to put together a mobile application for COVID-19 relief. There was time sensitivity on that front.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We work with Glorium Technologies on a project and product basis. For this particular project, the scope of work was to develop a mobile application for COVID-related clinical training. The application has an AI component that’s also developed outside of the application, and that Glorium interfaces with.
The overall project milestone and process was to, first of all, develop an app that matches the proof of concept (POC) that we put together. Once we had that underlying platform, we went to complexify it and added localization that we didn’t have before. The idea was that there was a prototyping phase even with the collaboration with Glorium Technologies. Then, this was used as a platform to add features and basically make the app marketable.
What is the team composition?
The Glorium Technologies delivery officer is our main point of contact for anything business-related. Their project manager coordinates all communications and reporting with the development team. The development team was composed of 1–3 people throughout the duration of the engagement.
How did you come to work with Glorium Technologies?
I know they do a lot of outreach in the healthcare innovation field and that’s where we initially got wind of them at a convention related to healthcare virtualization. We liked that they were inexpensive and completed good-quality work.
We’ve worked with Glorium Technologies in the past. For this particular project, we went to them because we had an established relationship. They were cleared as potential suppliers. Most importantly, they were willing to jump on the project quickly. There were three full-time employees who started within a two days’ notice and worked for months. That was the big incentive along with the money and quality aspect.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent about $60,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began in December 2020. We’re currently in the hand-off period. This is the last week of active development, and then the engagement will wrap up.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
There have been challenges in bringing quality in a fast turnaround. This has led to some hiccups on our end where we tried to deploy the application with a subset of testers in the clinical space. That didn’t go very well due to a couple of reasons, with some of them related to the app readiness and quality.
With that said, Glorium Technologies fixed everything. If I look at it from a project level, they’ve provided the quality we were expecting from them. Maybe there was a miscommunication as to the readiness and other matters like that. Overall, they met the project goals.
How did Glorium Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management was good.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The overall turnaround time was impressive. The fact that we could spin a project that’s going to last five months in a matter of days was the biggest success. We didn’t envision this to take that long. Initially, we had three months in mind at maximum, and here we are five months later.
Glorium Technologies sticks to the end goal and is willing to jump on an initiative and not give up on it. Some people would’ve wanted to just drop it at some point. Their willingness to participate in those innovations and that project is most impressive to me. Glorium Technologies’ willingness to jump in with three people for months was a big deal for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There could be some improvement with quality. We can pinpoint where the lack and gaps have been during this project; they were mostly on the backend programming aspect. It took quite a while to code some pretty basic functionalities and there were some mistakes we had to help fix. If I were to break it down into components of the application, like frontend and middle, I’d say the backend is definitely where the project lacked.
But once again, Glorium Technologies addressed the issue and got the internal support that was required to deliver on requirements. On the quality side, that is where some gaps were. Quality does trickle into timelines obviously. If we don’t get the quality, we have to spend the time to fix it and that takes more and more time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Review their work per your expectations. Glorium Technologies’ only gaps could definitely be mitigated by communicating that all the requirements are clear to everyone and that the UX is well-understood. If they had asked questions with regard to the code they were building, we wouldn’t have had quality issues down the road. Overcommunicate and then review the work is the best way to go about it iteratively.
Another major point would be to define established milestones and release iteration timelines. That’s one thing that we as a customer did not do enough. We didn’t do that and we ended up having a half-baked product until we said we needed to release it to the greater public on a specific date; at which point a quality app was delivered for that date. The iterative process and release timeframes are very important from a customer standpoint.

We needed help with frontend development.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Glorium Technologies created a framework with a set of guidelines where we can easily transfer our old software to the new web world. Before, we were running MySQL server which we still do for the database.
On the frontend side, we’re on Visual FoxPro still, and some parts are running in C#. The team is establishing a new UI. We gave them some basic guidelines based on the old software so that we’d have something the customers would recognize.
They then created the new interface from scratch. We’re almost done and are just doing some final touches for some minor bug fixes.
What is the team composition?
There are 2–3 developers and one project lead.
How did you come to work with Glorium Technologies?
My boss met them at a trade fair in Berlin. We spoke with several companies, but Glorium Technologies was the most convincing, and our contact with them was very good.

Working with them has been great. We really like their work cycle. Right now, we’re going for a big hit with one of the big insurance companies in Germany.
We needed some demos right away to show to future customers and Glorium Technologies delivered quite quickly. I really like their flexibility and adjustability to changing demands.
How did Glorium Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We have weekly meetings and sometimes twice-weekly meetings to discuss changes that need to be made. Our engagement with them has been good. Our project lead is available 24/7 and responds quickly to all kinds of questions and suggestions. Most of the project management was done in Azure Dev Ops.
They write down everything. It’s always easy for us to track where they are, what the problems are, and what the next steps will be. Glorium Technologies always gives us a good overview of who is working on what at the moment; we don’t have to ask.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Working with them has been fun. There are always jokes between us, and our chemistry is good.

The language barrier was a big issue in the beginning but we worked through that.
