Web Dev, Branding & Logo Design for CPA Firm
"Ghost Rock is really helping us establish our own company."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the office manager of a full-service CPA firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ghost Rock?
We’re a new firm that branched off from a bigger firm, so we needed help with web development, logo, and branding.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started the project by giving the Ghost Rock team an idea of what we had in mind for our logo. From that point, we went back and forth until they came up with a design. After making a few more modifications, we ended up with a final logo. They’ve also created various branding elements for us, such as letterheads and business card designs.
Additionally, Ghost Rock is currently designing and developing our website. They’re setting it up to have a landing page. Our team is collaborating closely with them. For example, we’ve just worked with them to shoot some photos for the site.
What is the team composition?
We only interface with one person.
How did you come to work with Ghost Rock?
Ghost Rock is one of our clients.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $2,700.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in November 2020, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everyone’s been receptive to our new branding. Overall, the process had been great and stress-free. Ghost Rock is really helping us establish our own company. We’re hopeful that the website will help us get more customers, too.
How did Ghost Rock perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s been hard for us to communicate what we want because it isn’t our expertise, but the Ghost Rock team always takes the time to understand what we need and promptly deliver them. We use email and Microsoft Teams to communicate, but we can just call them if we need anything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Ghost Rock has been really patient with us. We’re a startup, so we haven’t sorted everything out. Sometimes, we suddenly need a specific material, and the team is quick to fulfill our last-minute needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We thought it would be an issue that we can’t manipulate the designs they send us, but we’ve realized it’s much easier to give the Ghost Rock team a call and have them change the design.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared and know what you need. Keep a running list of things that you need for branding and use it to guide you.

Social Media Management for Restaurant Group
"Ghost Rock comes from a different angle than any other marketing agency I’ve seen."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing partner at The Pine Room, a restaurant group.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ghost Rock?
We wanted to increase our exposure in our community by leveraging social media.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ghost Rock is primarily responsible for our social media marketing, both paid and organic. The team manages our Facebook ads, and they maintain our Instagram account and website. They’re in charge of all of our photography and weekly social media page, and they’re in charge of overseeing any issues that come up on review platforms.
Essentially, Ghost Rock works to ensure we’re engaging our community on a regular basis. The team comes up with content and strategy on their own, in addition to maintaining our social media presence.
What is the team composition?
We work with three people: the two owners and an account manager.
How did you come to work with Ghost Rock?
I had a past relationship with them from a past restaurant I owned, and I was really pleased with them. When I went back for this project, I found they’d grown a lot from where they were previously — they upgraded their equipment and expanded the capabilities of their staff. I was very impressed.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $5,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since March 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Ghost Rock will print out monthly reports, showing us different metrics like engagement and more. There’s no doubt that they’ve increased our exposure in our community.
They’re kind of like a one-stop-shop. Their capabilities are really extensive, and they’re creative as well — the team doesn’t just take a cookie-cutter approach.
How did Ghost Rock perform from a project management standpoint?
Ghost Rock manages our account very well. We’ll give them a project, and they’ll turn it around very quickly. The team is very efficient. I’ve never had an issue with them when it comes to projects.
We typically meet over the phone or in person — they usually come to the restaurant and check in on us. We have a quarterly meeting, where we go over performance as well as strategy in the coming months.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their creativity really sets them apart. Constance (Owner) has a background in the arts, and she really thinks outside the box. Ghost Rock comes from a different angle than any other marketing agency I’ve seen.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that comes to mind. I’ve never had an issue with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Use them as a tool for your business. Don’t hesitate to reach out to them.

Social Media Marketing for Hotel Management Company
“Their creativity had the biggest impact overall, because they brought a really unique perspective to the work.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the VP of sales and marketing at a major hotel company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ghost Rock?
They handled all of the social media for some of our hotels and restaurants, including coverage of their day-to-day operations and the relaunch of specific locations.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Ghost Rock handled all of the creative for the advertisements as well as the placement and management of the individual ads and campaigns that they were a part of. That included photography and video work as well as copy, and even some more innovative methods that we hadn’t done before, like self-guided tours and drone footage of the hotel to give guests new perspectives.
Outside of the actual ad creation, the managed the budget for advertising and ran both organic and paid campaigns. They also helped to build out our pages for each of the locations so that we could maximize the impact of the exposure that they were creating for us.
What was the team composition?
There were two principal contacts working with us from their team, and then over time, a few others were brought on to handle larger activations and specific projects that we wanted to do.
How did you come to work with Ghost Rock?
We had a local connection with them and wanted to stick to companies in the area because it represented the mission of our brand. They joined the team before I did, but from what I know they seemed like a good fit in the initial conversations, so we decided to move forward with them.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we’ve spent around $200,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
They officially started working with us around June 2018 and we have continued the partnership ever since.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They have delivered really positive results in terms of engagement and brand positioning. We saw a lot more people interacting with our posts on social media than we ever had before, and that certainly played a role in the revenue that we received through our locations.
How did Ghost Rock perform from a project management standpoint?
On top of the overall success we achieved, one thing that really helped was that when we needed specific initiatives boosted, they were always able to target those to make sure we were successful and saw the increase in visits and engagement that we were looking for.
Since they’re local, we have been able to meet once a week in person and had interactions around all of the filming as well. Because of the abundance of face to face engagement, they were able to make sure we were always on the same page about what to focus on next.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their creativity had the biggest impact overall, because they brought a really unique perspective to the work. They didn’t have a particular background in this industry, so they also didn’t bring with them the constraints of thinking like a traditional hotel marketer. We found that uniqueness incredibly helpful in the overall goals we were trying to achieve.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, we’ve been completely satisfied with the level of service that we have received from them on all fronts. If they could have stopped the coronavirus, obviously that would be even better, but I guess they can’t work miracles all the time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Understand that there is responsibility on both sides. When you come into an engagement like this, as long as you put the effort into explaining what you want and what your larger goals are, they will be very effective.

Digital Marketing, Strategy, & Video for Distillery
“They execute their job flawlessly, which is unlike any other company."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Three Brothers Farm Distillery.
What challenge were you trying to address with Ghost Rock?
We didn’t know anything about how to establish an online presence, so they’ve completely taken over that aspect of our business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’ve made a website for us and handle all of our social media marketing needs. They’ve also created videos and photos for us to post across different channels. They also handle all of the content and comments on our Facebook page. I tell them what I need, send some pictures and content, and give them my input.
What is the team composition?
Constance (Owner & Creative Lead) is our main point of contact.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around May 2015 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’ve been very happy with the work they’ve done. We get more contacts online and through Facebook who want to purchase our product. They execute their job flawlessly, which is unlike any other company.
My whole goal in hiring them was to limit the time I need to spend on anything related to digital presence, and they handle everything perfectly. I don’t want to spend time thinking about it, even though we need it, and I haven’t had to put any extra time into it in the last five years since hiring them.
How did Ghost Rock perform from a project management standpoint?
She answers the phone every time I call, on the second ring. She manages all the efforts and I don’t need to touch any of it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their support means it’s something I don't have to think about; they’re just so on top of everything. They handle everything without a flaw at every turn.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront and honest with them. Don’t try to pull any wool over their eyes.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ghost Rock?
- Social Media Content - photos and videos - Safety and instructional videos - NEW maintenance program brand/logo/content
How did you select Ghost Rock and what were the deciding factors?
We do a lot of roof and insulation work for a local hotel and they were interviewing us for a video on their behalf (celebrating the hotel's renovation)
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
Social media content is for a general showcasing of our business. They schedule a time to visit our jobsites and just go to work. They'll get up on the roof if needed. They're not afraid to "get in there." Safety/instructional videos are for a new hire orientation. They have translated it into spanish and english. It looks amazing. Nikola is very skilled in walking through all the steps and making the process very clear. He has definitely worked on "how to" videos before.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
3 in total, 2 camera people 1 director
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
They are able to turn around all of our videos very quickly! It's amazing. I know I won't have to wait a long time for the projects we want done. They get what they need and then go to work and next thing I know, its in my inbox.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very good! They're very responsive, have a good sense of what we're trying to accomplish, etc. It's not their first go-around! They are definitely professionals!
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
How quickly they can turn things around! They also capture the most impressive shots without me even noticing. The way they can bring it all together just amazes me.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of! They handle a lot of the details and take the editing and run with it. Any suggestions I make, they do quickly and efficiently.
Ghost Rock’s work meets all client expectations. The team helped their client reinvent their page to be more community-oriented. They’re organized, efficient, and on top of the ball. Ghost Rock is an efficient vendor that brings creative insights to the table.
