Building Companion - iOS and Android Applications

Mobile: IOS / Android Web: Angular2 Server: PHP 7.1 The platform consists of several technological layers that support native Android and iOS mobile applications. The platform is to reach customers from the Xella group, those who undertake to build their homes. The Building Companion was supposed to be a supporting assistant in the construction stages. TASK Building Companion is an application for those who want to have

control over each stage of construction project implementation and independently choose subcontractors. The main tasks of the application were to help organize the work, manage the task list during the construction project and find trusted contractors, as well as to make contact with them. Design From the very beginning, the project was focused on a specific target group - people who want to build their own home. So we've designed an application that stands out for its speed and intuitive operation. PaySteer - Money for Knowledge

Mobile: IOS / Android Web: Angular Server: PHP 7.0 Mobile and Web Application Earn money by sharing your knowledge or look for new members for your team. The remote working market provides great opportunities to establish contacts and find qualified parters. This is made a lot easier with PaySteer. Task To develop an application for linking service recipients with service providers (experts in their field), which will support

the market of remote services. What was important in this task To create a space for free and secure communications, which would gather service orders and give experts an opportunity to show their best qualities. All this was to help establish business relationships and earn on the provided services. Design We faced a few challenges at the design stage. Every profile owner should be able to fully control and manage their account while remaining free to use the collected profiles of other users. Since the application is to generate profits from cooperation between its users, we should ensure an appropriate way of accounting for the services. Pogromcyupalu.pl

Mobile: Unity Web: Unity Desktop: Unity Server: PHP 7.0 Together with us, the Koral brand has given its customers a game for mobile devices. An element of a wider advertising campaign for the brand, the game made the campaign more interactive and enhanced its reach, as the game’s availability guaranteed a large number of players. Task The most important task was to make a multimedia product which would fit into the Koral

brand’s communication strategy. The game had to be simple, so that everyone could have a go. Our product had to be available both for iOS and Android, and had to have its web and desktop versions too. Design Firstly, we had to find a model which would be our reference point. We chose Flappy Bird, the free arcade game, as the model of a simple and engaging game. We had to account for the fact that the game had to be available for two systems and in multiple versions. DividYou - Web Application

Web: Angular Server: PHP 7.0 Web application DivideYou is a place of a direct interaction between people who would like to buy a product with those who make it. Our application is a communication space but also a place for gathering funds and earning on them. Task The tasks we faced during the project mostly resulted from the complex and interrelated activities offered by DivideYou. We created a place that gathers those who want
to have access to products or services and their actual producers. By saving funds in the application, the products can be bought at considerably lower prices. In addition, the users can view their wallets and the investments they can afford. Design The specific nature of the DivideYou project comes from the wide range of its functionalities. Therefore, at the design stage we had to provide the possibility to create user profiles with the option to gather funds and provide continuous access to the investments in which the users can participate. As a result, all the solutions had to be intuitive and suited to the users’ individual capabilities. DivideYou is the first platform in Poland that links consumers with prosumers. CRM InterVi - Web Application

Web: Vue.js Server: PHP 7.1 CRM InterVi is a platform supporting sales, invoice management, customer management, and the management of personnel and their working time. As part of the project, we have developed a web application and an application for Android. Task Our task was to develop a modern web application which would streamline the processes at an interactive agency. We started with a cycle of meetings to discuss the

current processes carried out in the company and to prepare a pre-implementation document. Design When designing the interface, we put a great attention to simple solutions and intuitive elements for each action. The platform is to be used in daily work of the whole team, so the biggest challenge was to make its layout clear and flexible. Super Smart Rental

Mobile: IOS / Android Web: TypeScript Server: PHP 7.1 Super Smart Rental is an app tailored to the event and rental industry that allows you to easily handle several events at the same time. Its most important feature is the use of NFC tags and scanning. For the event and rental industry, the app provides an easy way to manage the preparations and the course of events. Task The most important task was to design a system which
would allow for managing equipment, stocks, event services and transport during the planned and ongoing events handled by the company. The app was to give its users full and real-time insight into the functioning of the company. Design Already at the beginning, the concept entailed the use of NFC tags and the implementation of several authorisation levels assigned to people based on their scope of responsibilities. The aim of the app was to facilitate the management of stocks and allow for monitoring events. We also had to account for the fact that the app had to have its mobile version (on both iOS and Android) and its web version. We are the biggest agency in Poland with three specializations: creating digital products, creating big campaings for biggest brands and transforming businesses/consulting for the biggest companies. We have to create part of the online campaign for one of our biggest client - FMCG industry. First part was lead acquisition through website and second one was activation of the users through web browser based game - all was part of the campaign introducing the new product to the market. This was one of whole campaing.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was creating landing page for campaing for the first part and after that prepares web browser based game where users can win prizes, which was directly connected with new product and whole marketing campaign.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

In k2 we have many suppliers that we use for our projects. This time we take offers from them, for makeing this project and internally we chose best offer, based on our metrics (price, contractor experience, knowledge of technology we are using in this project, etc.) and experience of cooperation with this subcontractor.

Project was part of big marketing campaign. Products which we create during our cooperation was landing page and web browser based game/application.

What was the team composition?

We have 5 peoples on K2 side (graphic designer, UX designer, technical leader, PM and QA). On GBX side we have PM/Account and several developers (frontend and backend developers and QA).

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We have successfully built products that were elements of the entire project and run whole campaign without any issues. Our goal was lead gathering , we have our KPI's and we made more than we assume on the beggining of the project. In summary, the whole project has been a success.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We meet on workshops on the begining of the project, when we described and explaing whole project scope and goals we have. During development period, we have several calls and daily statuses via phone or e-mail, that we all know what is the project progress. We work using Slack, Redmine task tracker customized for that kind of projects.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Engagement to the project, agility and responsibility of the project and of course such obvious things like quick and correct development, recommendations/consulting during development period, close cooperation with knowledge transfer.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As always we see areas for improvement, because we all know that perfect projects doesn't exist, but during this cooperation only issues we have was with communication - we work in two different cities, so we were facing all kinds of communication problems which are typical for remote teams. That's the thing that we need to work on during next projects which we expecting in the future.

Our priorities were fast development and good communication with developers. GBX Soft met the requirements.

How did you select this vendor?

First reason to choose was price for whole project, GBX Soft wasn't most affordable but they didnt kill us by the price. Additionally, the team was young, which connected us in negotiations.

Describe the project in detail.

Vendor perfectely knew what we needed after a few calls and emails. Every suggestion was included in development very fast. We tested beta versions almost one day after our suggestions for changes. Project was ready after three months. Lately, we had maybe a few corrections and then the project was ready for sale.

What was the team composition?

We spoke with one person the whole time. Robert was a great connector between us and the developers. Team size has increased during the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have many app downloads from the Google Play store. Our clients are very happy to use this app, and every suggestion they had was developed too by the vendor. Final app didn't have any bugs because every problem was fixed by vendor at the beginning.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our communication was based on emailing and calls. We didn't use any managing tools because the project wasn`t so big enough to use that software. Workflow between us was fast and easy. They responded very fast.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Price to quality ratio was at a very good level. Other things that were unique were communication, understanding, and reaction time.

There is nothing for improvement.

You can search "saloner" in the Google Play Store or App Store for iOS, although current versions of apps have been already rebuilt by new vendor.

The most impressive parts were the professional approach and attention that our cooperation was paid.
