Please describe your company and your position there.

I run Digital Content Studios, A Canberra film production company with Green screen studio, cyclorama and full crew facilities.

For what projects/services did your company hire Gatecrasher Media?

I won a contract to film live-action sports with super slow-motion replays over 11 destinations around Australia. I hired Ian Lumsden and Gatecrasher Media to be the technical director to make this happen.

What were your goals for this project?

Deliver a world-class broadcast to uphold and continue the long-legacy of Crusty Demons who have been doing stadium shows since the 90s.

How did you select this vendor?

I had worked with them before and liked their technical knowledge and adaptable mindset to overcome any challenges that would occur while being on the road.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.

There were two types of shows. The full production with 8 cameras and the scaled-back regional show with 4 cameras. It was Gatecrasher Media's job to hire the camera operators all over the country and set up the cameras to broadcast the show live onto the screens for the fans and record the show to make a behind the scenes video. The tricky part was to provide the super slow-motion replays on the budget from the client. Ian devised a technical workaround which saved $7k on each stop of the show which made myself and the client extremely happy.

What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?

There wasn't a specific process but Ian would manage everything without needing to bother anyone that wasn't concerned in the production. He aced it.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The team at Sony Entertainment came to watch the show and was super impressed with the production quality, the live switching and the crisp audio on the presenter/show host.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very efficient. Ian was trusted to manage the project which he did without any need for double-checking or micromanaging. His wealth of experience over 20-years in produciton is somewhat of a competitive advantage over the younger generation guys.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

technical knowledge and experience to deliver a high-stress result with raving feedback.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I was very happy with everything from Ian and his team at Gatecrasher Media.
