When one of Microsoft’s most trusted cloud transformation partners turned 21, the founding team knew that the brand needed a transformation of its own.


Time for something completely different. 


Old and new. Side by side.


How do you hold on to the heritage of an established and much loved brand like CPS while renewing it for the next era? That was the

challenge we set ourselves when owners David Dunning and Ivan Lloyd asked Fluro to help them give the business they started 21 years ago a well-deserved facelift.


The power of story-telling


CPS had been awarded Partner of the Year by Microsoft three years running, so there was obviously lots the brand was doing brilliantly. We decided to preserve and hero the collaborative spirit that had helped build the business with sepia-toned reportage-style photography showing the team in action. Focussed. Undaunted. Delivering the joined up business impact that their customers love. This was off-set with crisp website design using white space, interactive, jewelled boxes and simple iconography to create a contemporary feel that wouldn’t age.


We also wanted to inject some of the energy and spirit that we knew lifted CPS above other partners into the new brand too. A boisterous animation style was born using vintage music and playful cut-outs to take customers on Monty Pythonesque romp through the CPS universe.


Outcome


The result is the best of both. An engaging new look and feel that can cleanly deliver mission-critical tech insight while inspiring customers with a warm narrative style. CPS continues to work with us to evolve its communications approach and keep its brand fresh.

Buckinghamshire College Group

How did we make this newly amalgamated group of Amersham, Aylesbury and Wycombe Colleges stand out to prospective students?

With a gutsy campaign that they couldn’t ignore.


Creativity unleashed

Anyone can do good marketing to students, but great marketing takes real skill. We wanted help the Buckinghamshire College Group to cut across the noise and create a truly aspirational new

communications approach. A campaign that would help their new brand come out of its corner punching. Our initial brief was for a simple prospectus. When the client team saw what we were proposing, the campaign parameters quickly expanded.


One super-powered proposition

We sifted through lots of concepts but kept coming back to one: Futureproof. The idea of students with mutant superpowers assembled as one, fearlessly taking on the world. Invincible. Undaunted. Primed to conquer tough job markets and secure their future. But that wasn’t enough. We also wanted to make the marketing real by heroing real-life students and showcasing the different courses and skills they can arm up with.


An epic is born

The result was a sumptuous new campaign that cuts through the usual outdoor advertising and inbox clutter. We conducted the photoshoot and then our in-house studio worked tirelessly to craft a filmic world you could believe in. We worked with some expert videographers to splice photos and deliver powerful, slo-mo video enhanced with cracking special effects. The results were visually lush, the copy bold and plain-speaking. Our clients were blown away.

Exclusive Linens

This successful family run business needed a brand makeover to appeal to its client base of discerning international hotels.


We stripped the brand back and remade it, layer by layer.


Waking up to the new era


A generation had passed since the late 1980s when Exclusive Linens first launched as a full-service manufacturer and supplier of luxurious bedroom

and bathroom linens to elite hotels. While the business was going from strength to strength, the brand was getting tired.


A balance of style and substance


Prestige looks and speaks differently in the 21st century and the new brand we created reflects that. A sumptuous photography shoot gave us all the raw material we needed (though bouncing on the beds was sadly banned by our Director of Photography). Add elegant design, crisp copy, premium quality print stock and friendly navigation and it’s everything the discerning hotelier could want, rolled out across all the touchpoints that the sales and marketing teams need.

This famous annual gala needed a high-powered identity to match its high-profile client list.


We nailed it, in one take.


New year, new theme


Fluro was delighted to be invited to work with the National Film and Television School for a second time, following our successful delivery of event communications for last year’s prestigious annual gala. The theme

for this year’s gala was Celebrating Great British Directors.


The sequel was even better


Our creative teams let lose, building a larger than life, Hitchcock-inspired director persona as a visual centrepiece alongside supporting imagery, all from a montage of iconic film kit and memorabilia. Event communications from the lavish event brochure to exclusive invitations, tickets and table plans were executed in classic black and white with a patriotic ribbon of red, white and blue running through it.


Third time lucky


The client is so happy with the quality of our work and prompt delivery that we’ve been asked to look after next year’s gala too. We kept our acceptance speech short.
