The project and solution have had a tremendous impact on our company and has helped expand our brand across the country with a full e-commerce presence. It has driven a vast increase in D2C revenue as well as expanded our customer base exponentially.

Project management was arranged very professionally and was extremely effective. Deadlines were met, any problems were addressed early and communicated thoroughly. We communicated via in person, email, slack, and phone. All communication was excellent and we never had any issues.

The most impressive aspect of FlowState and working with them has to the quality of the work matched with the personality and care of their team. When we talk to potential customers, one of the first things they mention is our website. They're blown away by the aesthetics and how easy it is to understand our technology just from the content FlowState Marketing produced. We've done all of our custom apparel with them (seven T-shirts and two sweaters). Usually, I give them my ideas or do sketches, and they come up with amazing designs and put everything together.

We needed help crystalizing our brand. We knew who we were and what we stood for, but we didn't know how to say it and how to to visually express it. Our brand needed to be differentiated from the alternatives, and it needed to attract our target market. We hired FlowState to create a beautiful brand for our company that fulfilled those goals.
The services we hired FlowState for was to provide us with a brand strategy and visual identity; brand naming; the design and development of a landing page to direct users to download the mobile app; UI design for our mobile app to actualize our brand into the product itself; and other collateral materials to create a cohesive look and feel across our various touchpoints (collateral such as business card designs, a letterhead design, an email newsletter template, a one-pager design, 4 multi-media ads, and a presentation deck design).
How did you select this vendor?
We conducted an extensive search through dozens of branding agencies throughout the US and Europe who could deliver on our goals. After getting proposals from about 5 different agencies, we narrowed it down to two: Flowstate and a large branding company.
We decided to pursue this project with FlowState because they were a smaller agency which allowed them to work at a much faster pace, with their top guys working directly on our project; their website and case studies impressed us, demonstrating their creativity and quality of work; FlowState's quick communication and follow-up stood out among every other agency we inquired about; their wide range of capabilities was exactly what we needed; and their pricing was competitive. The other agency was 4x more costly, and FlowState ended up delivering a branding result that was just as good, even better. We firmly believe no other agency we looked at could have delivered a better result than FlowState.

Initally, FlowState gave us a document that outlined in clear detail exactly what to expect. The document included an overview of the entire process with clear descriptions of the process, the deliverables, and a dated timeline. At any given point we always knew exactly where the project stood, what was being worked on, what to expect, and when.
They had a very nice format where it was not demanding on us, but moved the work through quickly and efficiently, and met all our time deadlines and goals.
The project started out with Discovery - After signing, we got started immediately. FlowState sought to understand and become integrated with our business, our market, what we stand for, our visions, and our goals. It involved a questionnaire, interviews, and we provided FlowState with relevant assets and documents from our business.
The next phase was Define – After becoming integrated with our company, FlowState went on to develop our brand strategy and messaging. FlowState also named our brand during this stage: They called a meeting where they presented us with different options that were very creative and well thought out. There was one name that immediately stood out and we felt it was the perfect name for our brand. This step was a defining moment which propelled the rest of our project along the way.
Design – This was the most exciting stage as we literally got to see our brand come together. FlowState arranged a meeting where they presented 3 different stylescapes which showcased 3 different directions in both our messaging and visual identity. We collaborated and selected which direction we liked most, and we discussed the elements of each that we wanted to include in our 'final' brand. After a short amount of time, FlowState organized another meeting where they presented the final stylescape. Like before, we discussed it and then went through one more iteration before we were completely happy with our beautiful new brand.
Develop – This phase is where FlowState actualized our brand and created our landing page, UI design for our mobile application, one-pager, business card, branded letterhead, email newsletter template, presentation deck, and 4 multimedia ads. They presented each of those items to us and we either approved it as the "final", or we went through another iteration or two until we were completely satisfied with the designs. FlowState was great at collaborating with us and ensured we were happy with the work. Our custom landing page was designed by FlowState and developed by a parter of theirs. They created a custom theme in WordPress and kept it on their staging server until it was fully functioning and ready to be pushed to our live site. They handled all the technicals.
Brand Package – Lastly, FlowState packaged up all the work they did for the project and delivered it to us. We have all the original source files and the finished files, images, and designs. Additionally, our Brand Guidelines document (Visual and Messaging guidelines) was delivered in the final Brand Package.
The whole project went smoothly and it was very exciting to see everything come together into a beautiful that brand we love, and that our early users love.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There were approximately 4 members of FlowState's team that worked on the project. A project manager, a copywriter, a designer, and a creative director.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are currently in beta testing with limited data. However the feedback we've collected so far has been excellent. We now have a cohesive, professional, and beautiful brand and product with distinct brand imaging and clear messaging across all our touch points.

We were provided with a document in beginning with clear timelines, deliverables, and steps of the project. In addition to that, FlowState frequently updated us with their progress. At any given point we knew exactly where we were in the process, what was being worked on, and when to expect deliverables and meetings.
We communicated mainly through email and the meetings were on Zoom.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
When we first saw Tom and Shamus (the Co-Founders of FlowState), we were initially surprised as they seemed like 'youngsters'. We juxtaposed that against the large branding agencies we were looking into as they were older and appeared 'wiser'. Yet as we got talking more and we pursued the project with FlowState, they demonstrated they have what it takes. They have all the knowledge and wisdom that the large agencies have, and their depth and scope of knowledege and creativity were remarkable.
Additionally, FlowState is well versed in a wide range of capabilities. Many of the other agencies we were looking into were limited. As a startup needing a complete branding job, FlowState's wide range of expertise was exactly what we needed. FlowState's communication throughout the whole process was excellent. They reached out to us frequently with updates, when we had a thought or question it was responded to promptly, and things moved quickly.
Speed. FlowState is a smaller agency so they can work a lot faster than larger agencies, with their top guys working directly on our project. Most importantly, the quality of their work is the most impressive thing about FlowState. We saw remarkable creativity, expertise, and knowledge in FlowState Branding's work. We love our new brand and couldn't imagine going with anybody else.
