Please describe your company and your position there.
Marketing and Communications Manager for Surf Life Saving South Australia. Surf Life Saving South Australia is a multifaceted and iconic organisation. We are an emergency service, iconic sport, education provider and a training providing organisation, with nearly 9,000 members in SA, with our volunteers giving up almost 80,000 hours a year to keep the beach going public in SA safe.
For what projects/services did your company hire Floodlight?
We hired Floodlight Media to produce a livestream and content for our Awards of Excellence ceremony.
What were your goals for this project?
To bring a professional and polished online ceremony into the Surf Life Saving Clubs and homes of our members, given that we couldn't hold our usual 300+ person function at a large venue due to COVID restrictions.
How did you select Floodlight?
Floodlight were selected based on excellent previous experiences working with them.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
1x 50 minute livestream was produced. 5x 5 min interviews were produced to be released after the event as further content. The process began with a Zoom meeting to scope and plan the event. A detailed proposal that met the brief was provided. After project engagement, communication was smooth and fast, and all moving pieces were well managed and well timed, with great outcomes. The process was clearly outlined and nothing was missed, with great input, advice and ideas provided by the team at Floodlight.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
The project management was seamless. The process was to provide feedback on each stage through phone, email or MS teams, and was consolidated by the production manager neatly.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The live stream and content videos were produced without a fault, in a really calm and effective manner. The finished product looked excellent, and had a feeling of a much bigger budget production, without the price tag, which was well received by our audience.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Seamless workflow. Emails, phone calls, and file-sharing were fast and faultless.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The speed of responses, professionalism, stakeholder engagement, and the finished product was top notch.

Please describe your company and your position there.
IDP is a leader education services provider, offering student placement services, english language teaching and is a co-owner of IELTS. I work in the Corporate Communications Global team.
For what projects/services did your company hire Floodlight Media?
This year IDP is celebrating our 50 year anniversary and we wanted to create a video production piece which tells the story of #Generation IDP. The challenge was to reflect our international community, whilst undertaking the shoot in one city.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted the piece to be reflected of our global community, which spans over 30 countries and consists of students, counsellors, alumni, test takers and our global teams which bring our connections together to help our customers achieve their study, career and migration goals.
How did you select this vendor?
We had worked with Floodlight previously and were very pleased with both the professionalism of the shoot, and the output.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
The output was a 2 minute piece which is to be used across a variety of social media channels as well as our B2C and B2B communication channels. The shoot was undertaken in Melbourne, then stock footage was incorporated to offer an international perspective. Animation was utilised to incorporate our branding graphically.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
The feedback process was relatively straight forward, we had edit rounds incorporated into our initial contract, and we were able to submit feedback digitally directly onto the rounds of edits.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have so far had great feedback for the piece internally, including the CEO and senior executive team very supportive of the output. We will next look to push it out on our global social channels.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was great, the team needed to be reasonably flexible in the initial stages of the project as we locked in key talent, then move relatively quickly to meet the scripting, storyboarding and post-production deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They are intuitive and understand broad briefs well. They also prioritize capturing quality footage, with an efficient and friendly crew.
Are there any areas for improvement?
It would be good for the Melbourne office to expand quickly, as flying the crew over for shoots made the shoot run sheet very tight, at least on paper, as success was very contingent on weather. The actual shoot ran quite smoothly with time to spare.
All deliverables were released by Floodlight in a timely manner. Most of all, stakeholders praised the outputs of the vendor. Everything was outlined and the vendor was always open to feedback.
