Introduce your business and what you do there.

We’re a social networking company called WannaThankYou, or WTY Connect Pvt. Ltd.


What challenge were you trying to address with First Launch?

We’ve been working with them since before they were called First Launch for social and content marketing.


What was the scope of their involvement?

We outsourced our entire digital marketing to them. They’ve helped us with SEO, SEM, and social media planning for Facebook and YouTube, giving us a report every month about the types of users visiting our website, and what content should be created for each demographic. They’ve also created a calendar with events and holidays in Europe and other parts of the world, detailing how our content works for each one. They developed a plan based on this, working to get more traffic to our site.

What is the team composition?

Vedh (Co-Founder and CEO, First Launch) is our single point of contact. They might be using digital consultants as well as full-time employees, but we’re not concerned with this aspect.

How did you come to work with First Launch?

Our parent company calls itself a startup for startups, that provides end-to-end help. They later created a separate entity for digital marketing work, which is when First Launch started. I knew their CEO before that time, after meeting him through a reference and discovering we were both from the eastern part of India.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost of their services is $300–$1,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with First Launch in June 2017, and the collaboration is ongoing.


What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our idea is pretty new, namely a social platform where users can thank people who’ve helped them. They did a fantastic job analyzing our strategy, but the results aren’t exactly what we expected. I’m not blaming them, but we’re still strategizing on what we need to do.

It’s been good though, and we’ve loved working with them because of their pricing, ownership, and accountability. We know that going to another vendor would involve a lot of work explaining our concept, without any guarantee of results, so we’re continuing with them.

How did First Launch perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve communicated over email, phone, and WhatsApp, Skype, GoToMeeting, and Telegram.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a sincere and young team that is committed to their work. They come up with strategies that no one has tried before and are happy to admit that they’re a new team trying to do something different; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. The synchronization between our teams is fantastic, and we’d love to continue working with them for the next 6–12 months.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should let clients know when results may not be what they’re expecting in terms of user counts. We tried working with another company before First Launch, and we found that they were doing things like creating fake users. First Launch focuses on organic results, which is something we like.
