I was the producer on the project, which was a special for the Discovery Channel.
For what projects/services did your company hire Film Production?
We need to film in Argentina, hire an experienced crew along with some equipment. Mario and Film Production helped with the logistics of location scouting, getting our gear successfully into the country, providing an excellent local crew. Top notch service and collaboration all the way through.
What were your goals for this project?
We were filming background plates that we added computer generated dinosaurs to.
How did you select Film Production?
Looked into companies who could provide the services we needed in Argentina. Film Production was the most solid and the personnel were great right from the beginning.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
This was essentially a production that involved a lot of visual effects filming requiring accurate information for each shot. We used cranes, 100s of feet of dolly track and a cable cam to achieve the dynamic filming we were striving for. Film Production was an essential element to our success. The production was nominated for two Emmys and won one.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
We dealt with Mario directly.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
If you are curious you should watch the show. The section on Jurassic North America was filmed entirely in Argentina with the help of Film Production.
