Web Design & Dev Services for Photography Business
“If we have any problems, they fix them quickly — we have a quick turnaround time for everything.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of Pippa Tank Photography.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
Fat Cow Media did various things for me, such as building and hosting websites.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Around 11 years ago, Fat Cow Media created a flash website for me. From there, we’ve updated and upgraded the website. I’ve also had new sites where they use WordPress to give me access to the platform’s backend. All of the websites are for my photography business, and the team creates them as my business evolves. They’ve also been hosting those websites for me.
What is the team composition?
I work with one person from their team.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I found Fat Cow Media on Google. After having a chat with them, we met in person. I felt that they were the right fit for my needs.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in January 2004, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Over the years, Fat Cow Media has done such a great job for me that I keep using them. I can go elsewhere, but I choose to stick with them. Meanwhile, the websites have been functional. They load fast, which is crucial since I have huge graphics and photographs online.
Overall, having their support has been great, especially for a small business owner like me who doesn’t have a lot of IT background. The team is also truly helpful when I ask for advice about what work to do; they give me the information I need and tell me whether they can or cannot help me.
For example, I do SEO by myself, so when I want to change a website’s domain name, I ask them for advice on how such a change might impact the website’s SEO performance. Being a small business owner, I don’t have a large team behind me, so it’s great that they give me that nice, extra support.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Fat Cow Media’s project management is great. My point of contact is easy to reach and prompt in responding to me. I’ve built a good relationship with that person over the course of our working engagement. If we have any problems, they fix them quickly — we have a quick turnaround time for everything.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their communication skills and understanding of my goals are impressive. They also understand my brand and how it needs to look.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communication is truly important, so have a clear idea of what you want. You can also get Fat Cow Media’s advice if you don’t know what you want. Overall, I highly recommend them, and their service is second to none.

Website Development/Design for Entertainment Company
"They delivered exactly what we wanted but still fit our budget."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a director of an entertainment company. We put on a single-weekend camping-based music festival every year, drawing crowds in the tens of thousands.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
We felt our website was very dated as compared to our competitors. The website, which we set up ourselves via Wix, wasn’t properly selling the festival. We knew we had to bring in a professional.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They handled front- and backend development of the new site. We started the engagement with a meeting where they gathered requirements for the site and set a project timeline and expectations. They were able to migrate some content from the old website but basically built the new WordPress site from scratch. We asked them to make sure the site would have an exciting feel and function properly on both desktop and mobile browsers. They set up the site backend so that it would be easy for us to change ourselves, but they also continue to manage updates and make sure the site is running smoothly. Their team has contributed design elements to the site as well.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with two people on their team. I believe a third person was involved in the project, but I never worked directly with them.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
After putting out a requisition, our marketing manager found them on Clutch.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about £8,000 (approximately $11,000 USD) so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked together since March 2021. The site was delivered in time for a promotional TV spot we had, but they continue to provide support and maintenance.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Before working with them, our site was attracting about 100 visitors a day and seeing an average visit duration of less than a minute. Now, the site sees 2000 organic visitors each day for an average duration of 2 minutes and 40 seconds. These increases are huge for us.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
During the development phase, they were very clear about when they needed materials from us but remained flexible with the order of task completion so that we could meet our deadline. The project lead was good at emailing the right people to speed the development process along. We communicate via Zoom, email, phone calls, and WhatsApp. Their team is responsive, even outside of normal business hours. We launched the site two days earlier than expected.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their body of work is eye-catching and responsive. They delivered exactly what we wanted but still fit our budget.
Are there any areas they could improve?
With our tight timeline, they couldn’t have done much of anything differently. However, if we had more time during the development phase of the project, I would have appreciated them teaching us more about how to edit the site prior to its launch. We could have also potentially worked through more options for the site had we provided them with more time to work with us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Get a list of example websites that you really like ready for them. Be ready with any assets or ideas you may have for your site.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a founding partner at a property management group. We’re a fully independent consultancy that specializes in property acquisition for the English countryside.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
We brought them on to design our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re creating a website handling everything from design to branding to imagery. Their team also created our business cards.
What is the team composition?
We work with Steve (Director) as our direct point of contact.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I was searching on Google for leading and award-winning agencies who could design our website. I came across a few name names but Fat Cow Media stood out because their website was inviting and friendly. I liked the design and creative. It was a gut feeling to choose them.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started in September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everyone who has seen our website loves it. Our company is still in its early stages of launching. A lot of traffic gets directed to our website through our Instagram. Fat Cow Media has been amazing in their design work. The website has met our goals. Their team has the patience to deliver exactly what we want; every little detail is included.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is great. Fat Cow Media meets deadlines and delivers on their commitments. It’s nice to have one point of contact and not have to communicate with different people at different times. Steve is always on it and makes himself available.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Nothing is too much trouble with them. They have a great eye for detail and deliver on time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m a very happy client. There haven’t been any issues.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Whatever you present to them, they’ll come up with ideas and present them to you. You can provide feedback, and they’ll adjust as needed. They provide a very professional service.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a specialist executive search and management company. We’re based in London.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
Due to the pandemic, most of our business has been moved to online platforms. As a startup, we primarily use LinkedIn. However, we wanted to focus on creating a nice, professional website to promote our business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re our web development partner, helping us build our first website. Once the development work is complete, they’ll shift to support digital marketing through the site. We’re hoping to launch the site soon.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 1–2 people.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I did some research online and read some very positive reviews about their company. After reaching out to 4–5 different agency options, I found that they got back to me very quickly. We had an initial call to discuss our needs and challenges. That went very well, so we decided to confirm them as our partner.
They gave us the impression that they were very professional and knowledgeable in the field. We exchanged several emails before we decided to contract them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
While we haven’t launched the site yet, I’ve heard nothing but positive things about their team. They’re very professional and responsive. It’s a relatively simple site.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
This wasn’t a very complicated project, and we communicated requirements upfront. The project has been straightforward. They present their progress to me, I provide feedback, and they implement the requested changes.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I find it easy to communicate with their team. Typically, external providers lack knowledge about our needs and company. They tried to put themselves in our shoes to understand our business' needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We’ve been happy with everything. It may be helpful for them to contribute more creative ideas to projects, although they’re creative already.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re an established company in their industry, with experience working with different types of clients. However, it’s important to let them know what you want to achieve. Both parties need to participate in the project together.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
We needed a website to get people all over to order.

I sent Fat Cow Media some ideas of what I liked and explained what we wanted. They also suggested ideas of how the website would look.
What is the team composition?
I interacted with one person.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I was looking around online and came across them. I spoke to quite a few companies, and Fat Cow Media just stood out in terms of how they said they could help us.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $10,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from July–September 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve received a lot of great feedback from customers. They say that it’s easy to use. We’re not advertising the website, but people have ordered from it organically. It worked well.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management was excellent. Everything was done over the phone or email. Any time we needed something, Fat Cow Media would ring us back within about 20 minutes. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It was all really good.

Their communication was very impressive. Even after the website was completed, there were a few things that we wanted to add, and Fat Cow Media would make those changes within the day. They always got back to us very quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I have no suggestions. I was happy with what they did, and there’s nothing I would fault them on.

What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
We were launching into a new market and needed a new website.

What is the team composition?
I worked directly with the owner.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I had seen some work they had done and had heard positive stories about them. I felt that they had competitive pricing and were able to deliver a good product.

Website Development for Engineering Startup
"There were no delays, and they gave us quick answers to any issues we had."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CTO of TOffeeAM. We operate in the software engineering industry, specializing in design for additive manufacturing.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
We had a website but it hadn’t been done by a professional, and, as a startup, most of our advertising is online. Our new investors required us to find a company that would build a nicer site.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed to redo a six-page website and Fat Cow Media created a brand-new website for us. To start, they asked us for a few examples of websites we liked. Being an engineering company, it would’ve been hard for them to understand what we do so we provided a lot of images and text content for them. Fat Cow Media created the full design using those pieces.
What is the team composition?
I worked with just one person from Fat Cow Media.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I made a Google search for website developers. We’re based in the UK, and I wanted to work with a local company. Fat Cow Media had the highest reviews out of the companies we looked at.
How much have you invested with them?
The total cost of the website was £4,000 ($5,200 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
I first contacted them in early-July 2020, and we started the project a few days later. We finished in August.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were given access to the website just this week so I can’t talk about metrics but we’re all very happy with the design. We were in a bit of a hurry to have the website live, so we check everything and are finishing up on details now.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
They were amazing, and they delivered everything on time. They took one week to put together the overall design and, from there, it was a matter of me sending over the images and videos we needed for each page. We also had a back and forth process where I sent them what I wanted to see and got modified pages back. They would make modifications until I was happy. I would get results within an hour or half an hour, and any delays came from my side.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I really enjoyed working with them. There were no delays, and they gave us quick answers to any issues we had. Fat Cow Media was very efficient and professional.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not really. It was a pleasure working with them and I didn’t have any problems.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Looking back at my own experience, I should’ve been a bit more prepared with what I wanted to see on the website. They can’t read minds, so you need to be clear about the content. If you don’t set up a clear plan for each page, that’ll fall on you.

Brochure Web Development for TV Production Company
“They were very effective and professional throughout the process.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the production coordinator at Proper Content, a television production company. We create factual- and documentary-type programs. I oversee the day-to-day basics of things, from when we’re out filming to pre- and post-production.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
My director was looking for somebody to do our website because it was very basic and had minimal information on it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Fat Cow Media developed our brochure website from scratch. The site isn’t meant for branding, but to show what we do and who we are to our viewers, broadcasters, and freelancers.
All the pages are built from scratch because we didn’t have any of that on our website to begin with. We messaged them with the content that we wanted on our site, such as images, showreels, and reviews and articles about our productions.
What is the team composition?
We were in touch with Steve (Company Director). He was very good at his job and definitely knew what he was doing.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I sent a few emails to various website companies, and Fat Cow Media was one of the companies that stood out to me. They made me feel confident that they could deliver. When my director and team had a conversation with them, they clicked and got along very well.
How much have you invested with them?
My company spent $5,000¬–$6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from June¬–July 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very happy with the way the site turned out and how quickly they got it done. We had a program lined up on a big channel, which was a big reason we wanted the website done, and it was a very quick turnover. They were very effective and professional throughout the process. We will work with them again.
There have definitely been a lot of people visiting our website because our inbox was flooded within the first three days. People have been saying congratulations and that it’s really well done. There were a few negative emails that came through as well.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management was really good. We had one initial Zoom video call with Steve. We told him we didn’t know what we wanted but that we could provide him with the information and he could play around with the designs and the logo. We’d give Steve the information on amendments, and he was available all the time. He sent us daily updates.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We didn’t really know what we wanted with the design, and they came back with multiple options and gave us things that might reflect well for a TV production website. They would give us 3–4 reputable design options.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing negative to say. They’ve been really good.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re new to developing a website, I’d definitely give them a go. They will guide you in the right direction.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of Inter Scientific. We have both medical devices and medicines aimed at helping adults quit smoking.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
The website we had was quite old and clunky, and it didn’t have the information that we wanted to convey to stakeholders. We needed to update the website to increase the meta content and to make it more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The scope was to take the site’s existing look, feel, and branding and to redevelop it from scratch. Fat Cow Media made it more user-friendly and functional. It was a complete redesign of the site, which was originally built in-house on Wix. They added more content so that our message was communicated better.
We’re currently working with them on SEO for the site. We’re doing a six-month trial with them to see how we can improve our hits on Google. They’re developing two posts per month for us in areas related to the business. We’re happy with the two we’ve gotten so far; they’re well-written.
Based on the fact that we’re so happy with the work they did on our medical website, we’re doing another website and SEO with them. They launched a second site for our brand 10 days ago. We’ll probably continue doing SEO with them for the long-term.
What is the team composition?
Steve (Company Director) is our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I found them through an online search, and we gave them a chance with our website.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $5,000–$8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2019, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re very happy with them. They’re absolutely amazing. The general feedback has been very positive from both my team and our clients. Their designs are aesthetically pleasing. The articles they’ve written have been really high quality. I don’t think they could do much better.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
It was great having one person to deal with. He understood exactly what we were looking for and was easy to communicate with.
We’re very happy with their performance. They turned it around pretty quickly. They’re flexible and really easy to communicate with through WhatsApp calls or messages.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Steve understood what we were looking to do visually. We wanted to create the effect of smoke clearing, and Steve created video clips for us. He also found the stock images we were looking for. He was really about the theme and feel we wanted. The product is much better than anything we’ve seen elsewhere. They used their own creativity and thoughts to help develop the site further.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No; we were so happy with them from the first site that we had to do another one with them. Working with them has been a far better experience than those we’ve had with other web designers.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give them a go.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-owner of a marketing agency. We currently offer about five services and are looking to expand.
What challenge were you trying to address with Fat Cow Media?
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to use this time to develop a new website, which it why we reached out to Fat Cow Media.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They developed a completely new website from scratch. It was on WordPress. I gave them some text and provided input on how I envisioned the site. I was consulted throughout the project, and they asked for input on color schemed and appearance.
What is the team composition?
I just work with Steve (Owner).
How did you come to work with Fat Cow Media?
I was networking with a few website developers that I knew and did some research on Google. I don’t remember exactly how I came across them, but I believe they were featured in an article that recommended website developers. They stood out because they offered a fair price and their previous clients were happy with the services they provided. Other companies outsourced their work, but I felt more comfortable working with Fat Cow Media because it was easy to communicate with him.
How much have you invested with them?
It was £5,000 (approximately $6,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The project lasted from April–May 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The site launched about a week ago. They are going to provide us with monthly reports on viruses and that kind of thing. Even after finished the website, we’ve been in communication. They keep pressing forward.
How did Fat Cow Media perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated every day by email. When we were designing different pages, we were calling each other here and there.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Steve’s patience and ability to take a vision and turn it into reality really blew me away. Other developers just want to take my vision and go, but would get frustrated if I kept coming back to them with new ideas. With Steve, it was never a problem.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not particularly.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have your vision really solidified before engaging with them. It will be more efficient for both parties.
The client has been happy with Fat Cow Media’s help, enlisting their services constantly for decades. They always create functional websites, and they provide useful insights to the business whenever the firm makes any changes. Overall, they understand the company’s goals and help achieve them.
