MEDsafe
MEDsafe is a custom web-based system designed for doctors and their patients. The system provides a convenient way of keeping full health-related information in one place and retrieves patients’ data from mobile and clinical devices, wearables, and connected applications.
Task: Development of a solution that will meet the needs of healthcare providers and their patients to improve the way clinics store and exchange medical data.
Solution: Our healthcare specialists developed a health-record web app from scratch that helps to store, manage and share medical measurements within a single platform. This platform is easy to use for both doctors and their patients providing communication on treatments and care plans between two parties.
This system provides authorization via Google and Dutch DIGID for easy and secure access to sensitive data. Doctors and their patients can create, store and manage medical measurements, care plans, and other health-related data but there is also the admin role for system management. If users want to discuss care plans together with their families and doctors, they can invite them to their network. Thanks to compliance with HL7 standard users can easily share and retrieve medical data from other healthcare organizations and services like Google Fit or Apple healthkit. It helps to improve the interoperability between different care providers and healthcare information systems.
MEDsafe is a safe and secure EHR and EMR application thanks to FHIR based storage and limited access to users’ data. The project is Information security management certified (ISO 27001), Dutch information security management standard certified (NEN 7510), MedMij certified, and also certified for Medical Devices (ISO 13485).
Technologies:
Angular 7, TypeScript, Redux, Sass, Java11, SpringBoot 2.1, Spring Framework, Docker, PostgreSQL, HAPI HL7 FHIR, Kubernetes, Zuul

arterio
arterio is a custom mobile solution for heart patients. This application allows users to monitor blood pressure and view key measurement statistics in one place. It helps patients observe health dynamics and share the latest measurement data with their doctors. This way patients can timely seek treatment at medical centers and get the most appropriate medication.
Task: More than half of all strokes and heart attacks are caused by high blood pressure. It is also a risk factor for heart diseases, kidney diseases, and vascular dementia. Only about 24% of U.S. adults have their hypertension under control while measuring blood pressure on a regular basis is an essential step in preventing high blood pressure. Hypertension treatment and control rates in Europe are even lower. Access to regular blood pressure readings can help heart patients avoid risks by making more informed decisions on medicine prescriptions required for hypertension management. However, around 75% of clinics use manual paper logs for their patients that contain reporting bias affecting up to 50% of all BP self-measurements. Exposit carefully studied the problem of blood pressure monitoring and decided to develop a mobile software solution that would provide heart patients with a convenient way of making timely log measurements and reduce the risks of heart attacks.
Solution: Our Team developed a Healthcare solution designed to meet the specific needs of heart patients and make their lives easier and safer. Our app allows recording, monitoring, managing, and sharing blood pressure measurements data using easy navigation.
Technologies used:
Bluetooth, Kotlin, MVVM, Material 2.0, DataBinding, Room, LiveData

Football Analytics
Football Analytics is a computer vision system designed to improve the quality of training analytics and in-club competitions.
Task:
1. Analyze the overall feasibility of a CV system to improve the training analysis.
2. Development of a software solution solving specific tasks of offline football schools.
Solution: Our team worked on a soft-and-hardware solution that allows users to track the movement of football players and balls on the field and use the collected data to create individual training programs. During the development, we took into account cost optimization in terms of equipment, processes automation, and a large amount of video data.
We reviewed the existing options for sports games analytics to create a solution that meets all the requirements: wearable tracking systems and optical tracking systems.
During the research, we found that these tracking systems are often used in conjunction for greater accuracy of football analytics. Thus, we created a solution that combines the capabilities of wearable and optical systems to collect and process various types of data without using expensive equipment. This solution turned out to be a computer vision system.
To test the solution, our team developed a prototype of football analytics based on CV technologies, as well as an operating algorithm: from calibrating cameras and ground marking to receiving a statistical report. The prototype can detect the player’s position on the football field during a match or training session and identify a specific player using the “reference” histograms. Histograms graphically illustrate the number of pixels at each color intensity level creating a unique graph for each player. The result of the system is a file containing data on the coordinates of the players.
Technologies: OpenCV, Tensorflow, Keras, Mask R-CNN, Deep SORT, Open Pose

Wizart
Wizart is a neural network-based computer vision and augmented reality solution for visualizing finishing materials and creating interior designs. The product provides customers with a unique opportunity of trying out wallpapers, painting, and flooring in your own home before buying. You can instantly see the new materials in your own interior with the help of a simple photo: you just turn on a phone camera, select a suitable type and material and get a photorealistic result preserving the perspectives, scale, and shadows.
Task: Development of CV Interior Assistant solving the problem of the imagination gap.
Solution: Exposit took part in the development of the own product Wizart including an AI-driven iOS application and Web application that can be easily integrated with an E-Commerce website. Together we created a solution that uses a neural network to show customers new interior design ideas in just a few clicks. After receiving a photo, the application recognizes the ceiling, floor, furnishings, and decorations. Then, users have a chance to apply their favorite finishing materials options on the photo and the existing materials are replaced by a new choice. Users can try different types and colours until they satisfied with the results and finished the room repair. We also added an Augmented Reality mode designed for a more accurate overlay.
At the end of the project, we developed an iOS mobile application with a working algorithm and a web application embedded in E-Commerce websites. After the project completion, Wizart became a separated company bringing competitive advantages to retailers and unleashing customers' creativity.

MeterReading
Managing a company's or client's energy requires significant human and time expenses (manual data reading from fiscal readers or meters is time-consuming and energy managers have to travel to the meter location). Also, human error could negatively impact the accuracy of the analysis. Nowadays, it's possible to automate the energy data reading process using special hardware tools, however, they do not allow managers to download energy data separately, for example, from an Excel spreadsheet or to make any corrections.
Our task: The application should allow the importing of data into the existing system for further analysis and energy management as well as to correct data reading mistakes. The input data - numbered energy data meters, statistics, meter locations — is shown on the application. Energy app analyzes these input data, provides the information about current changes and shows graphs. Based on these results energy-saving recommendations can be easily formulated.
Our company has developed a plug-in, which can notify the head system of taken measurements. This plug-in is integrated into the existing energy analytics system, using existing API.
Technologies used:
- Backend - Python, Flask, PostgreSQL
- Frontend - JS, jQuery, Moment.js
Details about the project you can find here: https://www.exposit.com/portfolio/meterreading/

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
CEO at Whichwinery.com. We have a web application that helps people navigate wine country bu finding wineries that match their preferences.
For what projects/services did your company hire Exposit?
We contacted Exposit with aspiration to refactor our code for winery profile management, bug fixes, DevOps and additional functionality for travelling planning, search, DB backups and more.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to customize people’s wine travel experience by providing an online application that could help users make more informed decisions on finding wineries that fit their preferences. In addition, providing wineries with the ability to reach their segmented audience.
How did you select this vendor?
Our CTO had worked with them prior and he highly recommended them. We compared several offers of IT companies and Exposit’s was the closest to our expectations in terms of budget and cooperation model.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The Exposit company was responsible for supporting and developing our web application. Their developers studied the source code created previously by a different team, wrote their own logic over the FB library and fixed errors to optimize the speed and flexibility of the application. A few of those features included implementing logic for database backups, Django CMS plug-in development, server performance optimization and "Consumer Travel Trip Planner" implementation.
What was the team composition?
A Team Lead and two software engineers.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
As a result of our joint development, the whole project was refactored. The new functionality helps our users to create the most engaging travel experiences for which we receive positive feedback.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We didn’t use project management from Exposit - it was handled from our side. In general, communication with the Exposit team was very productive and timely (given the time zone differences). They were responsive and flexible to new coming requirements. Slack was our best form of communication.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their soft skills, such as their ability to communicate and responsiveness, were impressive. Their development process was transparent and clear for us and they were timely in their deliveries. Most importantly, which was not the case with our prior team, is that they think through the user experience and make recommendations during development, which has optimized our customer experience. They don't code for coding sake, they were a partner in collaborating with us to realize the best experience based on our architecture and product road map.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None. Highly recommend them!

We’ve spent $15,000-$20,000.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They helped us to understand how it would work. We now need fewer personnel to call clients to give them status updates on where their kitchen cabinets are. Writing and calling into our offices has completely stopped.
How did Exposit perform from a project management standpoint?
The architect was our point of contact with the programmers. He explained everything to us. They delivered the app a week after our agreement, but that was because we were having them change a lot of things. They’re all great guys to communicate with even outside of work. We used Skype.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I can only rate them on convenience and money charged, but they’re very nice compared to the previous company I worked with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m considering asking them to help with our next project.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re good to work with. They make good products.

Mobile Development and Cloud Solutions for IT Firm
“[T]hey are probably one of the best IT providers in Eastern Europe.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Please describe your organization.
We are an IT services company that provides software development, mobile app development, and cloud infrastructure support services for our customers.
What is your position?
I’m the CEO of the company.
What business challenge were you trying to address with Exposit DS?
The business model of our company is that we have consultants here in the DC Metro Area, and we use Exposit DS as our software development office. We do a little of our own development work but we primarily outsource it to Exposit DS.
Please describe the scope of their involvement in greater detail.
We’ve been working with them since 2012, and the projects have ranged widely since then. Recently they built a web and mobile app for our client, who was a startup company that was looking to build an app that would allow their users to send out electronic gift cards with some customization. Then, over the course of the last year they built a web application that was used as a platform that enabled fashion designers to work online. They’ve also worked on several projects around building out a company’s cloud infrastructure.
How did you come to work with Exposit DS?
I am from Belarus, and I knew the management of Exposit DS for a while. We knew it would be a good relationship from the first few projects we gave them and have been working with them ever since.
Could you provide a sense of the size of this initiative in financial terms?
Usually the projects are in the $10,000 to $50,000 range.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in the summer of 2012, and the relationship is ongoing.
Could you share any statistics or metrics from this engagement?
One of our recent projects was with Social Tables. With Exposit DS’s help, we were able to propose scalable cloud architecture for their infrastructure servers. The outcome was that users stopped having to deal with timeouts and outages during peak hours, so it pretty much stabilized their platform in terms of the infrastructure.
What distinguishes Exposit DS from other providers?
The number one thing is the quality of communication and quality of work. I’ve been doing business with them for the last three years, and so far there was no business-related issue that we could not work out by just talking. In terms of the technical experience, I want to say that they are probably one of the best IT providers in Eastern Europe. They’re more than just coders. They have experienced senior developers and architects who are really useful whenever we try to come up with out-of-the-box solutions for our clients.
Is there anything Exposit DS could have improved or done differently?
Improvements would probably go along the lines of communication. The majority of their senior staff has great English communication skills, but when we talk to their mid or junior level developers, it’s not as good, which can be a problem if we try to connect them with our US-based clients.

Belarusian-Jewish Cultural Heritage Center is a non-profit organization, which mission is to promote awareness of the rich Belarusian-Jewish cultural heritage within the national and global context, to preserve and enhance this heritage, aiming at the creation of the Jewish Museum in Belarus. Founder and Curator
For what projects/services did your company hire Exposit, and what were your goals?
VR tour and reconstruction of the Great Synagogue of Slonim is the first of its kind project in Belarus that brought researchers, artists, conservationists and IT engineers together to remake and preserve an important piece of Jewish heritage.
The team utilized historical archival information in conjunction with high-tech modelling to establish an interactive visualization solution and has managed to virtually renovate the synagogue to the ideal historic appearance at its height.
An immersive 15-minute VR session allows visitors, after putting on VR glasses, to fall into the past and take part in a guided tour where they can get acquainted with the history of the synagogue, see its original appearance, see all the painting and hear the sounds that used to be there several centuries ago.
How did you select Exposit and what were the deciding factors?
Selected by tender. Factors - expertise, terms and price.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Exposit took part in the Belarus Shtetl project as a Unity development team and implemented VR visualization of the Great Synagogue of Slonim for an interactive exhibition.
The team began the development by visiting the historical building in Slonim to better understand the architecture and create a 3D model of the synagogue as realistic as possible.
Exposit explored the real object, saw elevation plans and historical materials, took photographs of interior and exterior details as well as made photographic materials for creating a 360-view inside and outside the synagogue.
The company chose the Unity technology for the 3D model development to allow the project creators to quickly adapt the solution for other devices (for example, as a smartphone app), if necessary.
