With the recent Core Web Vitals updates from Google, we have been focusing more on page speed. eSpark has been able to help our client's websites score 90 or above on Google's PageSpeed Insights performance auditing tool.

We communicate mostly through Basecamp and have Zoom meetings as needed. eSpark is very responsive and is reachable during most US business working hours.

They have a wide range of knowledge and work in many different technologies. And when we come to them with a project or technology they have not used before, they are almost always able to figure it out and help us deliver what the client needs.

Any issues we've had have been minor and were corrected promptly.

We found eSparkBiz using an online search. They had a similar kind of experience which we were looking for. Also, their pricing was competitive and we had a tight deadline for the MVP launch.

We had provided SRS document to review the requirements. They had reviewed the requirements and got back to us immediately with a plan for development. We were impressed with their approach and decided to go with them. They have followed Agile methodology to develop this system. We have used ASP.NET MVC, MSSQL.

The solution has multiple daily routing functionality like Manage subscriber profiles, manage subscriber subscription regarding package and Channels, and billing for Customer Subscription, Manage inventory of Hardwares and also manage multiple franchise/location and also Handel stock based on each franchise/location, also need CRM module to handle each day complains from customers.

They had assigned a dedicated team of 3 senior developers, 1 senior designer, 1 senior QA, and DevOps when it's required.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have launched our MVP version after 7 months of development and we got awesome responses from clients. They have delivered the exact product which we were looking for.

They had followed the Agile methodology to develop this system. We were communicated using Skype, Microsoft Teams, Jira, and email. They were quick to answer and solve any queries we had.

They are easy to work with, honest, and always available when we need them.

I don't see any scope of improvement. They were already good.

They took over our mobile app development work. They're responsible for fixing errors in the iOS and Android apps and are working to complete those development projects. They’ve also changed the architecture of the Android app. The team is collaborating on other projects such as custom software development, too.

Optamark is one of the leading companies in print promotional distribution. I’m the CFO, and I also manage technology development. 

What challenge were you trying to address with eSparksBiz?

We needed to build a solution to manage our day-to-day business requirements.  

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built up our CRM to accommodate multiple users and be usable with our different brand names. First, they worked with us to develop thorough documentation of the solution. This document compiled all the features, services, and flows involved in the product. Then, their team of backend developers, frontend developers, and testing elements started the long process of development. We’re now making final alterations, and eSparksBiz is providing ongoing maintenance.

They started from scratch, working in Laravel and PHP. eSparksBiz has provided some design services as well, mostly focusing on web-specific design. Hosting, both on AWS and on the client’s own servers.

We deal directly with their project manager. There was also a business analyst initially, during the documentation stage. Then, we started working with one frontend developer, two backend developers, a half-time designer, and a half-time testing person.

We started developing a solution in-house, but after building it we realized there were serious issues with security and broken functionality, so we looked for an experienced outside vendor. After identifying three options, we chose eSparksBiz because of their pricing and experience. Additionally, our CEO flew from the US to India to meet with them.

We focused on Indian companies as we felt they would have the technology skills necessary. eSparksBiz gave us a very competitive rate after we laid out the scope for them. Their desire to hear the details of the project and understand the scope fully was very attractive.

Our platform required a lot of complexity, as our products have so many variables: size, color, type of paper, etc. eSparksBiz defined all this complexity before the project and was flexible in applying changes while maintaining user-friendliness. They didn’t let anything we asked for disrupt the software. Now, we have a clear path forward to grow our business.

We’re sticking with eSparksBiz and giving them day-to-day maintenance work, along with small development tasks. There’s a long way to go with the platform still.

Their process makes it easy for everything. After analyzing our business and requirements, everything was laid out properly for the whole project.

I don’t have anything specific, but companies can always improve in every area. Perhaps a few communications could be better, but eSparks Biz was spot on with their planning and knowledge.

Be honest and give your problem to them. Their analysis team will be very transparent, and they’ll verify what will be required. If they say they can develop to a timeline, you can believe them.

Our product relaunch got rave reviews from our clients. Everyone is thrilled about the new design and functionalities. Plus, we've been able to sell to more companies who also joined because they loved how user-friendly the site is.

The team is incredibly responsive and is always available within a business day from when I ask for a new task. We communicate via video call to establish the task and then communicate via basecamp! For bigger projects, we always had more video calls along the way.

They are so efficient, fast, smart, and kind. Other developers have always made me feel like the tasks I ask for are a big lift or request many weeks to do something. Meanwhile eSpark always finds a way to achieve our goals AND the turnaround time incredibly fast (within days!!).

We are a US based company in the automotive field. I am the sales manager.

We hired eSparkBiz for E-commerce website development. We used BigCommerce as our E-commerce platform, and needed a appealing website that works well to convert.

What were your goals for this project?

We need to customize the E-commerce website based on a previously purchased theme. The previously purchased theme did not have all the functions we want, for example a more user friendly interface, a more appealing look / design, and a product search function that works good.

We searched on Google for vendors that does this kind of service. Henry replied right away and was very knowledgeable about the service. He was also very organized, and provided a fair price quote.

They provided us with a lot of suggestions on how the project can be done, then they were able to comply with the deadline. We were in a rush and the timeline was a little bit tight, but they were able to get everything done properly before the deadline.

Throughout the whole project timeline, they communicate with us everyday to update us on the process, and we discuss about the project, and made adjustments accordingly. The service was very professional.

We communicated with Henry since day 1, and he is always very patience with all the question. Since I did not have a IT background, he explained everything clearly for me all the time. His is also very knowledgeable about the project.

Our website was able to launch before the planned deadline, and everything works good including the look, design, and function. The website is optimized for different devices. Our mobile conversion rate increased a lot compared with our old website.

Project management was very effective. With quality communications everyday, we are well aware of all the process and issues. And whenever there are issues, it is being solved quickly and properly.

Great communications and knowledge regarding the project. Some companies would just charge you and then complete the work slowly, without much communications. But eSparkBiz is completely different from those companies.

We needed help with web development for one of our clients.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We provide the background API and they developed the frontend of the web platforms. They’re for bringing companies and influencers together: there’s one platform for the companies and one for the influencers.

eSparkBiz developed both using AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. The influencers sign up on the platform and give details of what they do and what they like. The advertiser can look and search for the influencers.

We’ve tried other overseas companies but had communication issues. With eSparkBiz Technologies, the communication is always good.

Chintan and I work well together. His response time is very fast—usually five minutes after I ping him on Skype.

In the beginning, we had a weekly general discussion. Now, I have more contact with the developers directly, so Chintan does a lot less. I write tickets through GitLab and talk to them. It’s more technical in focus, and less project management, but it works well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The response time and communication are good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall, we’re very happy with them. The code quality could be improved but I don’t believe it reflects on the company in general—it depends on each person. The advertiser platform is nearly perfect. It’s only on the other portal where there are sometimes issues.

We have an advantage because we read the code they deliver us and do our own code reviews. Sometimes we tell them to make changes, so I think that process is important.

I’d tell other customers to give them a try. They’re very honest, and always give us estimations and prices.

We needed to migrate our client's website from an old, custom CMS to WordPress while still preserving its SEO and 1,700 posts and events.

We were aiming to migrate the site and all its content without sacrificing its positions in Google search results.
