Please describe your company and your position there.

Being the founder of the company – PRC store Pvt. Ltd, I laid the foundation of business in 2008 in Sydney, Australia. We are in the consumer electronics industry, operating 10 years back in Australia. With a team of over 100+ technical professionals having years of experience in mobile, laptop repairing domain, us at Phone Repair Centre offers best-in-class phone and tech device repair services for customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Epic Web Techno?

Almost everything was documented manually or in a small ERP system that usually crashes at any time. We had a serious problem with poor and inconsistent data entry, which was worsened further by our obsolete legacy software. And to improve the regular flow of customers, leads and revenue, we have to change the whole structure with respect to current market standards. So, I complete revamp was required.

What were your goals for this project?

The solution had to reliably create functionality with respect to the current business requirement. Most of the business competitors finding WordPress really easy to operate and thus It was needed to be built on WordPress as the recommendation. Additionally, It was an open-source with Convenient Syndication, Cost-Effective, easy to update and any future customization do to have to be challenged.

How did you select this vendor?

Epic Web Techno was recommended by a friend who has been working with them for 2 years. There were two other vendors to whom I was talking to. But Team epic was found to be most reliable, quick with responses even after differences in time zones. They know what they are doing, committed yet practical approach and comes with a proper timeline after understanding the requirement in detail.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They design, developed, configured, test and the website and custom backend management solution. Firstly, Epic web techno assigns me a dedicated Project Manager/Coordinator who typically works as per time zone. With the help of Project manager, we were able to understand the exact requirements, challenges, feasibility, goals, and timelines. After the approval of Workflows, Wireframes, Mock-ups, graphics, was initiated. Within 2 weeks of the sprint, actual production gets started. Improvements were made during each sprint. Their PM and senior developers were really helpful to give proper recommendations in time to ensure schedule shouldn’t disturb and I happily received a quality designed website & backend in a stipulated time frame.

The project team had about 7 dedicated people.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our website was live in 4 days earlier with respect to set guidelines. Luckily, testing phase was quickly done- thanks to the 3 senior developers available in the team. My project Manager maintains the same energy to what he shows in the very first meeting and this brings a really good turn around. It’s been a 5 months after the final delivery and I already found a significant improvement in ROI and especially the retention rate has been improved by 38% in first 5 months.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was really impressive - thanks to their project management tool namely "Basecamp". They communicated upcoming tasks and deadlines while adhering to project guidelines and timelines. Later on, I was quickly communicated with Slack to discuss the project manager, developers insights or for a work progress call.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The company was able to follow the Agile Methodology and it helps to maintain a clear process. Introduction of base camp and Slack helps to make the process clean and impressive. I was able to track the task progress, upcoming tasks, deadlines, and assigned person, etc. So It ensures me that the process is running smoothly and it's very critical when you work on a longer project.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is little scope improvement in their process but overall, they are good in explanation, documentation and timely delivery. So I feel – they can do some magic in paid marketing sector too.
