What challenge were you trying to address with Enuke Software?

We hired Enuke Software to develop custom software for our e-commerce company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We went through three or four months of development with Enuke Software. Our team had the initial wireframes and the first version, which was a rudimentary version created with different technology. It’s a SaaS-based system that uses Angular.js on the frontend. Their team remade everything from scratch, handling it from start to finish. It was a complete full stack development for the software that tracks different items on a construction site.

What is the team composition?

I’m unsure as to how many people worked on the project, but we did have an assigned project manager.

How did you come to work with Enuke Software?

I initially found them through an online search. After going through a selection process with various vendors in India, I found Enuke Software to be the best match.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted between April–August 2013.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Unfortunately, the product didn’t last on the market because we weren’t able to generate the response we expected. There were a few bugs, but their team was proactive in solving them. Overall, I have no complaints about Enuke Software.

How did Enuke Software perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good. There were a few instances where I had to follow up when things were delayed, but I understand that happens during projects. I also met with them at their Delhi offices.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Enuke Software followed a proactive methodology. Their team was active in getting back to me and getting the business off the ground. I appreciated how they addressed any issue I raised.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There could be a little improvement when it comes to timelines.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the co-founder and COO of an application that enables the exchange of thank you notes with a monetary value between peers.    

For what projects/services did your company hire Enuke Software?

We aimed to create a mobile version of our successful web application.

What were your goals for this project?

We strived for seamless UX, simple workflow, and a simultaneous integration with our backend system. Additionally, beautiful design and a way for our web app users to engage with their network of peers were core priorities.  

How did you select this vendor?

We assessed three companies on their technical skill, project portfolio, and alignment with our company's existing design sensibility. Enuke excelled in all of these categories and was within our budget.

Describe the project in detail.

We hired them to develop an iOS and Android compatible app, complete with wireframe development, mockups, a REST API. The app required a registration portal, login capabilities, and a quick-start screen. It also needed to offer users the ability to select a recipient, send and receive gifts, and edit account information.

What was the team composition?

We worked with one senior developer/architect, two junior developers, and one project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app was completed within the agreed time frame and all of our requirements were met.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were very effective. Both teams demonstrated maturity and willingness to understand the other's point of view, and came to agreements whenever discrepancies arose. Enuke has been responsive and flexible with adjustments along the way.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of their deliverables, communication skills, and their technical ability was all impressive. One key capability of Enuke’s team was their initial understanding of our requirements to ensure our expectations were properly set.

No, none that I can think of.

I’m the owner of an astrology application.

For what projects/services did your company hire Enuke Software?

I engaged Enuke Software to develop the app for web and mobile platforms.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted a mobile app that uses Indian astrology to make event predictions for average users. I also wanted a web app that manages back-office tasks and research tools for the frontend.

How did you select this vendor?

I posted a proposal on Upwork, and Enuke Software applied for it.

Describe the project in detail.

The mobile app allows users to login with Gmail and Yahoo credentials and record horoscope details, such as their date of birth. It automatically generates charts as well as daily and weekly predictions, and users can provide feedback on all projections. It also uses Google APIs such as finding a user’s location via latitude and longitude. Users can create special requests for a back-office agent to key in predictions. PayPal integration allows users to make charges and manage their accounts—including creating statements.

The web app is meant for back-office users to manage the mobile app experience. Users can adjust their birth time, enter predictions as requested, and over manage charges, user messaging, and Google APIs. The app generates productivity reports and utilizes research tools. The tools include a daily matching feature used for prediction and advanced matching features for events.

What was the team composition?

I worked with Abhishek (Co-Founder, Enuke Software), who served as the project manager. Parmanand (Team Lead, Enuke Software), Kirti (.NET Developer, Enuke Software) and Abhishek (Software Developer, Enuke Software) helped develop the app for iOS, Android, and the web.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project’s first and second phases finished on time and within budget, meeting my standards for quality. We’re now working on the third phase and plan to go live in May.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a close working relationship. Enuke Software balances formal documentation with a flexible approach. The team demonstrates a positive attitude as well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Enuke Software’s coding expertise, professional customer service, and fair prices stand out the most to me.

Are there any areas for improvement?

The team at first lacked domain knowledge about astrology, but they have learned a lot about the industry throughout the project.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We're a startup that provides services like farm mechanization and market linkage to smallholder farmers. I'm the founder and CEO.

For what projects/services did your company hire Enuke Software?

We hired Enuke Software to develop several mobile apps.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to develop a mobile platform that could aggregate supply and demand for our smallholder services. We wanted our users to conveniently order supplies from the comfort of their homes. We also required easy and efficient payment collection, order tracking, and machinery management on our end.  

How did you select this vendor?

We developed basic design specifications and discussed them with multiple vendors that had relevant experience. Enuke Software asked the most insightful questions and presented the most rigorous proposal. They covered every aspect of this complex assignment.

Describe the project in detail.

They built an app that measured acreage of a farm using GPS technology, as well as a mobile booking and delivery platform. Users can open the app, tag their farm, and order machinery. They also built an app for payment collection and spare parts inventory management.

We met with the project manager to discuss tasks and milestones. The founders joined us on multiple occasions to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. They finalized the design specifications and began the implementation. First they finalized the mockups, which helped us think through the project and provide relevant feedback. Based on our design discussions, their backend team developed the architecture and finished the code. They delivered drafts about three weeks from the start of the assignment.

We tested the solutions and gave feedback to the project manager. They handled our ideas well, implementing them with minimal turnaround time. They fixed the bugs and revised the features, then shared the improved version of the apps. 

What was the team composition?

We had a project manager, a technical architect, software developers, designers, and QA personnel who reported to the project manager. The overall team size was about eight members.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our apps received positive customer feedback. Farmers who aren't accustomed to using apps can operate them easily. They increased the efficiency of our service deliveries and enabled us to track key performance metrics.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow was highly effective. We resolved issues quickly because they reacted so promptly to our feedback. Since we had a single point of contact, our communication was highly effective, transparent, and proactive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their extremely robust systems and processes, whether related to query resolution or quality assurance, ensured efficiency. Even during stressful periods, they avoided errors and moved forward in a timely manner. Their team was dedicated to our customers.

I have nothing to suggest. We were satisfied with the quality of their work.

Our company is based in Singapore. We have 3 projects developed under it. I am the founder of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enuke Software?

We were looking to develop website and apps for our 3 projects/startups.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Scope included XMPP ejabberd chat application, chat rooms, one to one chat and group chat. They provided end to end services of designing to the development of the website on Laravel, iOS, and Android Apps.

How did you come to work with Enuke Software?

We selected them because of the chat application they provide, which is one of the best in the market, they work on new technologies and also because they would give access to developers and designers which would ease the feedback process and also make it a real time implementation.

We have invested US$125,000.

What is the status of this engagement?   

We have been working together for 9 months. From the end of December 2015 to September 2016.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Our website and app for the startup business have been successfully launched. It is a fairly new startup, and we are working to get users. Our projects required sophisticated chat applications which were successfully implemented. The websites were developed under the latest technologies - PHP Laravel.

What did you find most impressive about Enuke Software?

Enuke has a unique style of working where the client gets access to developers and designers so client inputs can be constructively implemented without any delay. Their services are excellent!

We have worked with Enuke Software for a couple of our projects which have been completed to perfection. We appreciate the team’s inputs & hard work which have been instrumental in achieving what we had envisioned. We have received 24/7 support from Enuke Software, and it has been our pleasure working with everyone involved in our project. Please describe your company.

We are a travel company. We wholesale to other travel agencies as well as act as an air desk for large tour operators that don’t want to do the air part themselves. We’ve been around for about 20 years. 

What are your role and responsibilities?

I’m the chief strategy officer.   

What was your goal in working with Enuke Software?

Enuke helps us manage how we interact with our travel agent partners and, at the same time, help make them more productive. What we’re trying to do is provide tools for these travel agencies to be able to sell more in an optimal fashion. We’ve been working slowly with Enuke, but it’s developing into a long-term relationship because we have so many things we want to do.

One of the problems with the travel industry is that when you begin working with some of the smaller agencies, and even some of the bigger ones, their technology is decades old. You go into a reservation system, and half the time it’s not even as easy to use as DOS. So, we’re doing a number of things for those agencies, including helping them invoice their clients and manage schedule changes.

Please describe the scope of their work.

What Enuke is working on right now is a multilevel accounting system. One of our niche markets is Spanish-speaking travel agencies in the United States. They’ve got basically two clients. The first is the old-style client who comes in and sits in front of the agent while he or she searches for flights, trips, and vacations – all while the person is sitting there. The second is the little store down the street that does wire transfers, taxes, and things like that, where they’re kind of a sub-agent of the travel agent. They do everything by telephone.

We’re slowly developing a system that they can access anytime and see how much they owe us for any airline ticket or how much we owe them in commissions. Then, they can turn around and do the same thing for their sub-agents. We’re trying to create a system where the sub-agents don’t have to use archaic reservation systems, but can instead use something more like an Expedia-type search engine.

Enuke had already developed that kind of system. So, we started working with them last year, and we’ve made a lot of progress. I spent a week with them in February, and I worked with our person who’s working on the project. We’d like to add one more person right now, but we need to make more progress before we can go to the board and get approval to spend more money. I really liked the person they assigned to us, and so far, we’re very happy with Enuke.

What was your process in selecting Enuke Software with which to work?

We went to India several years ago to find a new partner because our Denver-based supplier quit supporting Ruby on Rails, which was what our proprietary application was written in. We researched probably 50 places in India, then the president and I went and met with about 18 of them in three different cities during the course of a single week.

Enuke ended up being our second choice because we went with a different company in the Delhi area. But, in about a year and a half we started working with them on this project.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

Right now, we’re spending $3,500 a month. That’s for one resource and a little bit of project management. Enuke basically gave us a deal for the first six months, which is about up, so we need to re-evaluate the arrangement. We think we’re probably going to spend somewhere between $35,000 and $40,000 working on the project. From that point, we’re looking at something like $2,500 to $5,000 a month for maintenance, so when it’s all done we’ll have spent maybe $50,000 working with Enuke.

When did you start working with them?

We met them two years ago, and I met them again last year. We had the other owners of the company meet with them last August. We finally started working with them in October or November of 2014.

Is there anything unique about Enuke Software that really makes them stand out compared to other companies?

I like the fact that there are three owners. They’re young, smart guys running this thing, and each of them seems to have different qualities at which they excel. One is great at dealing with our kind of project. Another is just amazing at explaining stuff while the third has a wide range of experience with a whole bunch of different domain industries. So, together they can get things done. They have a sense of confidence.

Spending some time in their office, I got the sense of a real team atmosphere. We saw a number of businesses where you could really get the sense that people were there just for the experience and couldn’t wait to get out and move to another company. With Enuke, my guess is there’s a much lower turnover; it was just a fun yet serious place to work. Rarely do you have a company that can succeed and excel with multiple owners, but their owners tend to complement each other, which is very much like our company, which has four owners who have worked together for 20 years. Enuke seems very competent and very willing to do whatever we need them to do.  

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or something that you might do differently?

This is the first time I’ve worked directly with a programmer. Previously I’ve worked with project managers as intermediaries for the programmers. So, I thought their programmer was a little shy in the beginning, and that was why it was important that I went there. Now that we have established a relationship, we’re communicating very well. She’s super sweet, super nice, and very smart.

So, I can’t think of anything on which they might improve. They worked within our budget, and we got a programmer with whom we could communicate. We’re very happy working with Enuke.

We’re a medical technology company based in Virginia. Our Web-based software is used in more than 300 emergency rooms across the country.

I’m the chief technology officer.

What was your goal in working with Enuke Software?

They’re the core development team for our product. We’ve been working with them since we began developing the software.

The core thing that Enuke has been responsible for is PHP development. We also have a PC-based client that we do things for in C-sharp. Enuke also has done the iOS development for a mobile app.

At the beginning, I found individual freelancers through oDesk. Then, those freelancers joined up to form Enuke.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

We’ve spent more than $200,000 working with Enuke.

We started working with Enuke in 2010 to develop the software, and we continue to work with them for maintenance and support.

How satisfied are you with Enuke Software?

They’re stellar. They’re the best vendor I’ve ever worked with. They’re really top notch.

Is there anything unique about Enuke Software that really makes them stand out compared to other companies?

They have a very high level of education and experience. Their team members come from top-notch universities in India. Their code is well structured and they don’t make beginner mistakes.

What advice would you give a future client of theirs?

My advice for any offshore engagement is to make sure you have someone with strong technical project management skills to interface with Enuke.

Please describe your company.

We are in the real estate industry. My company is called Pipeline Wizard, and we build accountability and productivity software for real estate agents and the real estate industry, from a coaching and accountability standpoint to business metrics and solutions.

I am the co-founder and CEO.

What was your goal for working with Enuke Software?

We initially had our platform built with another company. I don’t want to say we were unhappy with the other company, but we found another solution via Enuke, through a mutual person. So, we started working with them about a year ago, to take control of the development and enhancements of our application.

Please describe the scope of their work.

We developed on our end, we had the designs done, mocked it up, and built the framework of what we wanted the application to do, in terms of functionality. We then presented them with the scope and the parameters of the project, and they built it. My COO and co-founder is the project manager on most of it, and he does most of the communication with Enuke and manages a lot of the tasks that they do. So, they pretty much just build what we give them, and they do it well.

What was your process for selecting Enuke Software with which to work?

 We found them through a mutual counterpart who had done work for them as a freelance developer. We interviewed them and figured out what solutions they provide. They were able to pick up our application from where we had it. It was a completely built and operational application, and Enuke came in to take it over and keep it going.

Can you provide a ballpark dollar figure for the size of the work that they’ve done for you?

I believe we pay them about $18 an hour. So, the total cost depends on the scope of the work, and what we need them to do.

When did you start working with Enuke Software, and is the relationship ongoing?

It’s been at least a year, and it is ongoing.

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

The work they’ve done has been great. They’re very easy to communicate with as far as their availability. Even though we’re in different time zones, they make the inconvenience of time very convenient. We have to contact them late at night, but they make it very quick and seamless.

Is there anything unique about them that really makes them stand out, compared to other companies?

They’re very big with following up, and getting back to you. So, accessibility is one of their strong points.
