I’m the founder and CEO of an EdTech startup.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enterpi Software Solutions?

I needed help with website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Enterpi built our website, helping design the UI and develop the backend. Initially, I gave them a rough layout of what I wanted our website to include. 

The requirements were very extensive; our website needed a lot of layers to it, many functionalities, and had to be compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Rule (COPPA) under registration because it’s for children. 

In terms of design, I provided them with the creative assets, which they had to recreate or implement to design the site. 

During development, the Enterpi team went through many iterations of the site to make sure that the process made sense and the site was user-friendly. I provided continual feedback and notes, which they implemented until we got the website where we needed it to be.

I worked directly with three people, including the project manager and CEO, though their team was much larger than that.

How did you come to work with Enterpi Software Solutions?

Our CTO had worked with Enterpi in the past, had a good relationship with them, and had enjoyed working with them. Our CTO recommended them to us, and that’s why they came on board.

We spent around $20,000.

We worked together from December 2020–December 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Enterpi did a great job building a very comprehensive website for us. They also excelled at design. 

How did Enterpi Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent at project management and very communicative. Enterpi used project management tools internally and communicated with us via email, Zoom, and Slack. We also used texts and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Enterpi was very professional and went above and beyond. They were great at communicating and taking direction. Additionally, they were always pleasant to deal with throughout lots of notes. Overall, Enterpi was great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There was nothing they needed to improve; they did a great job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communicate well what you want, and you’ll get it.

I’m the principal technical architect at Quad. Our company does marketing solutions for mostly retail clients, from print production to applications.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enterpi Software Solutions?

We hired EnterPi for PHP development for our applications.

What was the scope of their involvement?

EnterPi has done over 100 applications throughout our partnership. These include our project management line of business software that lets us get our projects out and make estimates to clients. They’ve also built client-specific applications that allow over 10,000 retail clients to order signage for their stores.

In addition to development, EnterPi does the UX design of all the applications. They have a QA team that goes through the entire development process as well. We also use them for Linux support. They help manage the servers that the apps run on, ensuring that updates and configurations are done properly so that the servers run with minimal issues.  

What is the team composition?

It’s varied over time. I work daily with five people that range from developers and business analysts to project managers and QA people. There’s also a Linux admin. When we have newer applications that require UX, I work with designers, but that’s not as regular.

How did you come to work with Enterpi Software Solutions?

They were already working with us when I joined the organization.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $10 million–$20 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership has lasted 12–13 years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We look mainly at whether the users are happy with the application and whether we’re seeing what we expect within the application. We’re very happy with what we’ve seen so far. We’re in the middle of a rollout of a new version of our line of business software that they custom-built for us eight years ago. We’re extremely happy with them and the continued growth we’ve seen over time.

How did Enterpi Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

There are definitely a few places where they can improve, but that will depend on the processes a client has in place. EnterPi can be as strict and buttoned up as we need to be to comply with sectors like public financial auditing, or they can run fairly loosely as we were probably 7–8 years ago. We’ve both improved over time, though.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s not just a vendor-client relationship; it’s much more a partnership. EnterPi took the time with their business analysts to dive in and learn our business. After 13 years of partnership, they understand our business, our clients, and our needs. The overall process can be faster because they have that background knowledge.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The biggest room for improvement is their backend admin development. EnterPi is really good at client frontend development, but we’ve been working on the backend side for a number of years. Some pieces are still lacking for backend admin users.

Any advice for potential customers?

Approach everything as a partnership rather than handing EnterPi a list of specs. Expect to spend some time upfront letting them learn your business, and it’ll pay dividends down the road because they’ll be able to deliver better applications.

I’m the co-founder of a referral technology platform, where I run the operations.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enterpi Software Solutions?

We wanted a flexible development team that could work with us on product development, particularly with talent in the UI area.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have a referral automation product. We sent them a basic write up, then they helped to create the mock-ups and execute them. They helped us prototype several of our designs in terms of functional specifications. They also helped us to develop some application functionalities.

One of the features they helped us design, develop, and implement was around understanding how references come in. They then helped us design a rewards program that can be tuned for each referral. They used Angular and HTML, while the solution was developed using an agile method. We had a scrum team who provided us with updates, and we had a release every two weeks.

What is the team composition?

We had a team of five developers, with one project manager.

How did you come to work with Enterpi Software Solutions?

We had gotten a few references, of which was Enterpi one. We chose them because of the UI experience they had, as well as the exceptional people they had in the area of UI. The cost point was also fantastic.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in February 2016 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

On average, we’ve been able to reduce our cost by almost 35%. The UX has been fantastic. They're available late at night and are able to address bugs if they come up. Overall, they are probably one of the best UI companies that I have worked with.

How did Enterpi Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a dedicated project manager who kept us updated regularly. If there were any changes, they were proactive in communicating them to us. We use Jira as a project management tool and had scheduled calls, enabling us to communicate with them fairly well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work ethic and the transparency they bring to the table—in terms of what they can and cannot do—is impressive. Their spirit of partnership is amazing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. Not that I know of.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Leverage their UI skillset because it’s something very unique that you won’t find with others.

I'm the CTO of a social platform that helps influencers facilitate the easy transaction of goods they showcase on their blogs.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enterpi Software Solutions?

I created most of the backend capabilities myself, but I didn’t have the necessary experience to build out the frontend. We also needed assistance on some of the backend APIs, but our main focus was finding a group to develop the user experience and design.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed the UX for the entire app and implemented all of the necessary frontend components. When we began working together, we talked with Enterpi team members about what we hoped the UX could be, and they made various mock-ups for us until we decided on a final experience. I'd already selected AngularJS for frontend development before we began work, but they also recommended we use it.

Enterpi provided us several unique UX capabilities. Users can sign up for the platform directly or through Facebook. They can browse the site’s content, view uploaded videos or images, and we also provide the option to make multi-step posts. We also maintain lists of professionals by category, so users can showcase their abilities and promote themselves to the larger community

What is the team composition?

They have a team that works behind-the-scenes, but our main points of contact are our program manager, the lead engineer, and the designer in charge of UX.

How did you come to work with Enterpi Software Solutions?

I learned of them from a colleague’s recommendation. They had superior abilities and a lot of experience in user design compared with other companies we considered. Traditionally, an engineering organization can build the code and solution, but you have to tell them exactly what you want them to build. Enterpi was different because I could work with them on a conceptual design level and still count on them to seamlessly transition from the design team to their implementation team, and finally to QA and verification.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began development in January 2014 and they provide ongoing development work as the project evolves.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our site is still growing, but the quality of the US design has been phenomenal. As with many offshore companies, turnaround times can be slow, but when I make myself available they get things finished quickly. Overall, their work is reliable and if there are ever any bugs associated with the code they fix them in time.

How did Enterpi Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We always had a clear understanding of work being done and Enterpi has been proactive in identifying areas where they needed further clarification from us. I noticed a tendency of theirs to overcommit and needing catch up at the end of a project. In fairness to them, once they've committed to doing something in that time, they deliver it, even when it meant some of the engineers were putting in extra hours. From a vendor perspective, they deliver on what they say they'll deliver.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We originally chose them because they had UX experience, and we weren’t disappointed—the UX and design team was exceptional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They invest in training talented engineers, but the agency would also benefit from more experienced senior engineers.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients should be willing to work with Enterpi on design, rather than doing the design work themselves. Collaborating with them makes for a seamless integration through the engineering and QA processes.

If a potential customer is doing the design themselves, I'd recommend they provide clear expectations and closely oversee the development process.

Enterpi helped me build a cloud based platform called Craze. The platform connects people searching for new experiences, self-improvement or help completing everyday tasks with local lifestyle professionals who can provide the inspiration, motivation, and know-how to help people reach their personal goals. What was the team composition?

We had a team of 3 developers, 3 QAs and 1 project manager along with the services of solution architect and technical architect.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The platform that Enterpi helped us develop is complete and ready for launch. We've had several users signup and have received positive feedback from customers.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used the agile process of Scrum to manage our project. The product backlog was developed and maintained in collaboration with Enterpi’s solution architect, after multiple discussions around the features and their design. The scrum teams assigned by Enterpi would then develop the features in sprints as per the priority laid down by me. The completed features would be demoed to me every fortnight on the staging servers maintained by Enterpi. The project managers were competent, knowledgeable and prompt. The engagement with Enterpi has been successful and the experience delightful.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I appreciate their approach that the client comes first, and they are always ready to tackle and fix any issues or concerns. I also appreciate them taking the time to understand the project in its entirety from the get-go and providing feedback to help ensure the success of the project.

We are the marketing innovations and technology subsidiary of a larger graphics company. We are responsible for building out and delivering client-facing technologies that make users more efficient.

What challenge were you trying to address with Enterpi Software Solutions?

We needed a good team that could work with us, understand the challenges we face, and help us deliver technology solutions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We start every project with a kickoff. We discuss the exact needs and scope and then estimate the level of effort required to deliver the appropriate technology solution. Once the proposal makes sense, we approve it and they provide software development services. They write the code, deploy solutions, and run testing.

Most of their work for us centers around marketing process automation and is built on a LAMP stack. They’re also very strong in frontend technologies like Angular. Anything they build helps our clients run their own processes and improve efficiency.

We worked with one of their head individuals and could interact with multiple project managers and coordinators. The team size scales to match the problem at hand.

How did you come to work with Enterpi Software Solutions?

Several years ago, we needed a team to build websites for us and for our clients. A partner at the company we chose branched off and started Enterpi. He asked if his new company could do a project for us, so we gave them an assignment. They delivered a good product and we started working with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around ten years ago. We have multiple ongoing projects with them now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have onsite developers who monitor their work. I’ve never heard anything negative from them. Their delivery times help us finish projects quickly and the quality of work is beyond anything we could get from less experienced vendors. Those are our two KPIs. From a cost perspective, their timeliness saves us money.

How did Enterpi Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They do really well. Availability is important to us and they always have someone on hand, even at night or on weekends. We communicate a lot through Skype and Slack and we don’t have difficulty with time differences or language barriers. We’ve developed high expectations and they always meet them. Our interactions always run smoothly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They break down difficult business problems and situations and expand their technology solutions at a rapid rate. They’re very strong on the frontend/UI side of things and all their interfaces feel current and cutting edge.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’d love them to increase the size of their team. That’s not necessarily a negative. We like what they’re doing and want to engage more of their resources.

Define your needs clearly and in writing. Be patient with any cultural or time differences and you will benefit from their services.

I am the CTO of a media software company

For what projects/services did your company hire Enterpi Software Solutions, and what were your goals?

Create multiple web applications and mobile applications to satisfy our complex customer needs. Enterpi accomplished this using the newest javascript based frameworks.

How did you select Enterpi Software Solutions and what were the deciding factors?

We were warmly referred to Enterpi from a trusted colleague who had successfully been working with them at the time.

Enterpi surprised us with incredible design skills. They really know what they're doing in terms of developing a user-focused design, that is simultaneously considerate of development efficiencies.

After, they quickly helped us hit MVP, agreeing to skip features in the short-term, then come back to them later. Their QA team is very good; I enjoy their attention to detail and communication.

12 Total. 3 designers, 2 project coordinators, 7 developers. These people were used across a variety of smaller projects.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We hit our deadlines 90% of the time... the 10% being my fault. Their design and their code is very clean.

Enterpi catered to our timezone and calendar availability. They use a custom task-tracking platform for transparency. And they used BitBucket for code tracking.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Truly incredible design. Integrity was a breath of fresh air.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If they had to be better at something, it would be to improve a bit on their code versioning.

I founded a startup with the goal of changing how consumers buy cars today. The focus of our efforts was on building a mobile first platform that would improve the car buying process, build consumer trust, and provide better value to dealerships.

Enterpi was hired to assist my team with digital creative advisory services and platform development.

What were your goals for this project?

My goals were the deployment of a minimum viable product that could be piloted in the market. Success was defined as positive consumer feedback and strong business engagement with what was developed.

How did you select this vendor?

I received several proposals from different vendors and Enterpi's proposal was the most complete in terms of vision and approach. In addition to their digital and development expertise, their flexibility was a big value add.

Entepri provided design assistance to help drive our social and web marketing including images, style, and creative visuals. Their main efforts were on building a cloud based platform to enable reverse auction functionality.

I provided guidance on end user stories and use cases and they provided thought leadership on consumer engagement, appropriate mobile design concepts.

I interacted primarily with their project lead and designers. They incorporate a scrum team setup with several developers, testers, and other personnel contributing.

The y were able to quickly deploy MVP and were able to incorporate consumer feedback on design and functionality quickly. The system they designed was able to handle user load during our pilot and we successfully serviced 20,000 unique visits in a 30 day window.

I received weekly status reports, held weekly meetings with their project lead, and participated in UAT / test case reviews.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their flexibility in reallocating appropriate personnel to meet deadlines or updated priorities was impressive. I felt like they were a true partner and often times provided unsolicited feedback / advise on various parts our solution - which was welcome.
