Honeypot, Silbo, OnPace+, APunta Taxi, AskMe

Silbo
Silbo is a feature-rich and eye-catching mobile app that provides qualified referees and umpires an on-demand system for self-scheduling games to officiate. The app allows them to find games in a variety of sports, to access and analyze their insights, and to then get paid automatically through the app. Effectus has worked on effectively delivering an extremely attractive interface that improves user experience and boosts engagement by implementing complex concepts such as cubic splines for image interpolation and UX patterns.
Geolocation tech is used to assure the timely assistance of referees and to help users filter available games. After officiating games, officials are able to review the facilities and the referees that worked together with them. Reviews are an integral part of the system since they are what make the app appeal to the accountability-starved public and put the entire transaction in check, leading to a significantly more pleasant and safer service.

Sitka
SITKA GEAR is an e-commerce company that specializes in hunting gear. Effectus Software was hired to implement the template to the existing website, which was of great scale and complexity. Reusing the existing style guide and code components was a requirement proposed by the client, and this made our work a little bit more challenging but also exciting.
Some of our main tasks were: developing a Cart section that would work as a multi-step checkout process, creating a Login screen and validations, and creating the Sign-Up screen.
A couple of weeks later, we were asked to develop a "Systems builder" screen that would work as a multi-step form for gear recommendations, and also to make some visual changes to the Product and Cart screens to improve the overall user experience. We were also asked to include some JavaScript features to some of the screens. Most of them consisted of making specific sections expandable and collapsible to improve interaction design. By implementing all these features, we were able to improve the checkout experience, as well as the Login and Create Account process. By doing the Systems Builder screen, we made it easier for users to find the equipment they need by giving them recommendations based on their preferences.

On Pace+
OnPace+ is a web medical app that helps patients manage their own health and help healthcare practitioners facilitate and improve patient care.
The app offers a journal were patients can introduce relevant data related to health issues and concerns with a great amount of detail. They can also include images and can choose their symptoms from a preloaded list.
Doctors have immediate access to their history and can make a diagnosis based on the provided information. Real-time medical record updates allow providing crucial data at the time of care and to no longer miss time-sensitive information. The app also allows face to face contact via video conferences with on-call doctors.
OnPace+ stores, transfers, and encrypts medical information through a decentralized network. This ensures that all medical information is safe, accessible, and in control by leveraging blockchain technologies and the latest security standards.

Honeypot
Honeypot is a dating app, currently working in London, that facilitates quick, authentic, face-to-face meeting in real-time by introducing singles that happen to be in the same place at the same time. The app seeks to bring back real-life first encounters, in a safe environment, with the facility to date on demand.
Honeypots are predetermined areas, shown on a map, that are designed specifically to match singles who fall within their boundaries. These could be: a London Borough, a University campus, an airport -and the list goes on. Whilst in the area you can send out buzzes to profiles you have found interesting.
The app uses Eric Ries' sticky engine of growth, allowing users to enjoy limited features for free and promoting the acquisition of paid subscriptions after these are depleted. Effectus has worked together with the enthusiastic group of young entrepreneurs behind this to deliver a really clean and eye-catching product of great performance. Technical challenges related to asynchronous messaging, overlapping maps with vectorized and adaptable figures delimiting areas and displaying information, and handling a significant amount of alternative payment methods were overcome thanks to the existing synergy within the team's dynamics.

AskMe
AskMe is a top-notch customer feedback tool that allows businesses to measure and analyze specific and overall satisfaction levels. Administrators can create and manage an unlimited amount of questions that can have different answer types associated such as number or face scales and short text answers.
The data collected can be accessed and analyzed via a dashboard that has been thought to be extremely user-friendly. User contact information can be collected and used for further in-depth analysis and to forge solid customer relations. In addition, AskMe can help motivate employees since objectives can be tailored by customer satisfaction ideals, and therefore guide the team efficiently.

Rivelin
Rivelin is a web app designed to help businesses maintain a categorized budget and all financial information centralized. The app allows administrators to handle accounts and reports that can be visualized in tables or graphs in the user's preferred time span. This allows us to generate comprehensive snapshots of the current financial status and to recognize any business financial trends.
Necessary measures were taken to assure a strong outer perimeter to guard all information. This app is ideal for businesses that want to transition their financial data from unmanageable spreadsheets to a more user-friendly, organized and efficient platform. Rivelin allows administrators to manage their providers and to link any financial statement directly to them. Complex algorithms such as the Knapsack problem were implemented for performance optimization. The interface was designed to be visually appealing and to offer seamless navigation, giving users a continuous flow of valuable information.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing partner of a software design and development agency that’s focused predominantly on mobile and web applications.
What challenge were you trying to address with Effectus Software?
Effectus Software assisted us on multiple software and mobile app engineering projects.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Across all of our joint projects, Effectus Software used React Native as a development tool. At this point, they’ve expanded our team and worked with us on 3–4 different client engagements. The products we’ve created together range from membership management tools to online marketplaces and product ordering platforms.
What is the team composition?
There are 2–3 engineers from Effectus Software who are currently filling in for our projects. We also work closely with our primary contact from their team, Juan (CEO & Co-Founder).
How did you come to work with Effectus Software?
I was introduced to them by another Chicago-based company.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started using their services around February 2021. We will continue to partner with them on concurrent and future projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Apart from minor bugs and necessary enhancements, the cross-platform applications that we’ve developed with Effectus Software have been of high quality and accurate coding. One of our clients has been really happy with the final product that we’ve built, and their team really contributed to that. We’re 100% satisfied. They’ve met our high expectations.
How did Effectus Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent at sticking to schedules and staying within budget. I communicate with one of their partners on a quarterly basis, but my internal project managers talk to their engineers weekly. We use Jira, Confluence, and sometimes Zoom for these communications.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have very talented React Native developers, and on top of their technical skills, they are really good team players. They blend and communicate well with my own team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t have any suggestions for improvements. They’ve proven themselves plenty over the course of our engagement.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Effectus Software is based in South America, so you have to be comfortable working long-distance with an offshore team, particularly one that’s in a different timezone. They also let you interview individual developers before you consider adding them to your team, so be sure to take advantage of that process to validate their fit and technical expertise.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm OnPace +'s Operation Manager. The company aims to improve healthcare procedures and protocols using technology.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software?
We hired Effectus Software to develop our website's front-end. The project's objective is to optimize medical appointment management, helping patients manage their health and healthcare practitioners to facilitate and improve patient care.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal for this project was to have a safe, efficient, and easy-to-use front-end solution for our website. We also wanted to integrate some features that allowed medical appointments to be carried out remotely.
How did you select Effectus Software?
They were referred to us, and after interviewing a handful of software companies, we decided to go with Effectus Software because they had experience with UX/UI design and had an exciting technology stack. The initial communication with them was fluid and professional, which increased our optimism about the project tremendously.
Describe the project in detail.
They designed and developed the front-end solution to manage complex information related to medicine and the patient's anamnesis. Also, they worked on the integration of specific and intricate functionalities such as the possibility of carrying out the medical appointments remotely using safe video calls.
Additional requirements included data integration and data privacy. These critical elements challenged the success of the project. The project relationship started at an early phase with limited design and feature definition.
What was the team composition?
Effectus Software provided two full-time front-end developers. There was at least one more developer (most of the times there were at least 2 devs from our side) provided by our company, and a ScrumMaster also provided by us.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our work with Effectus was instrumental in clarifying company vision and mission. The collaborative relationship with the team and OnPace made it possible to gain clarity of the clinical and patient use cases for what we were building.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It went great. Communication was fluid, and daily, so we were aligned all the time. The project manager was part of our team, but they followed procedures and had experience with the Scrum framework.
We carried out all the ceremonies, which allowed us to predict and plan all the business goals in an organized manner. The team cared about the project and, at times, collaborated with us beyond its scope.
There was a seamless relationship between our internal resources and the Effectus management team as well as developers.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Strong structures for communication with management and willingness to be flexible with funding, design changes and concept revisions. Staffing to meet our needs as we scaled up development.
Partnership and relationship was as important to Effectus as it was to OnPace. We always had a sense of alignment that our company vision and goals were theirs as well. There was a good range of skill and experience with available resources.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder and CEO of a startup that aims to centralize track and field data for athletes, scouts, and fans of the sport.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software, and what were your goals?
We hired Effectus Software to develop the iOS App (built in React Native) and its UI/UX design. The platform allows Track & Field records to be accessible for everyone. To successfully design and develop a zero bugs iOS app from scratch that is validated by users.
How did you select Effectus Software and what were the deciding factors?
After a post we published online, Effectus contacted us offering their services. We made some research about their work and they were the type of business we wanted to work with. They are professional, flexible and focused on delivering what the client asks for, offering services in reference to design, project management, quality assurance, and development.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The project consisted of developing an iOS application focusing on the UX/UI design. The app allows users to find in-depth information about athletes, teams, meets, and venues. This is done by evaluating A LOT of data. The team had to handle this data by creating complex queries. The front-end was developed using React Native using GraphQL to interact with the API, and the analysis and reviews were displayed by creating an innovative two-panel navigation system.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A software developer that also assured software quality was optimal.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were able to build a software platform that got interest and use from early adopters and was a factor in outside investment into the company.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
They've been a pleasure to work with. They're some hours ahead of us, which took some adjustments, but project management was excellent. We started off the project with a meeting where we talked about the project, its goals, needs, etc. After that, we had direct contact with the developer and set regular meetings with him to outline the mockups, validate requirements, and ensure everything was aligned.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a great culture with skilled and motivated team members that make working with them fun and productive. The company leadership is experienced in building products and companies from the ground up and understood the needs / constraints for an early-stage company
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
That's hard to say, but their top tier talent can be in high demand and may not be able to commit to full requested hours due to other engagements. With that said, they're very transparent and can help you to avoid that situation with early conversations

I am the CEO of Punto Home Garden. We sell bazaar and garden items online, offering an exceptional set of products and after-sales service.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software, and what were your goals?
We hired Effectus Software to develop our e-commerce website from scratch. We had the opportunity to develop the website from the ground up, and our goal was to make one that was easy to use for our customers, which was attractive and represented the essence of the brand, and also that was efficient.
How did you select Effectus Software and what were the deciding factors?
I was referred to them by three completely different contacts. And that reinforced my decision to contact them. I saw some of the projects they had made and knew they were going to do a good job.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They developed an e-commerce website where we can showcase and sell our products. The developed system lets the admin categorize these products and modify all the information related to them. He can also access analytics regarding sales and traffic. The technology stack was the following: Ruby On Rails Heroku PostgreSQL React
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We've worked with a backend developer, a front-end designer, and a front-end engineer. We had one point of contact.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
It's not easy to measure the impact with metrics since we started from scratch, but things have gone well. Sells are happening, and users haven't claimed nor criticized anything regarding the website's performance. We have an excellent, reliable, and functional product that meets all of our requirements.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Exceptional. They have a proactive management style, always there to answer questions or doubts. All the meetings we had and the access to the Trello board with the current status of the activities made them and us be aligned all the time.
All communication was transparent and prompt, and whenever we needed to talk, we all jumped straight to a conference call. They were incredibly easy to work with.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were impressed with their ability to build high-quality designs and code that matched our expectations in the set timeframe. Every phase of the development process was carefully planned and managed according to our requirements and considering all of our real concerns.
They also made suggestions that we hadn't thought of that could make the project more successful. They were ready to go the extra mile for us.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I wouldn't add much to the process they already have. The solution they provide me was as successful as I expected. No improvement needed from my perspective.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I own an online software application called Teachery, and I am the founder of the company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Effectus Software?
We needed a development company to come in and handle our Rails web application.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Their work included managing all of the codebase for our course creation software for teachers. They helped with updating new features, fixing bugs, and having resources on hand for any other projects or fixes that came up as we went along.
What is the team composition?
Between our project managers, developers, and frontend leads, I work with about 6–7 people from their team.
How did you come to work with Effectus Software?
I had a really hard time finding a development company that I was comfortable with, so I reached out to a couple friends who also run similar software companies. One of them recommended Effectus Software to me, and that was what led me to take a chance on their team.
How much have you invested with them?
The cost of the project is about $4,000 a month, so we’ve spent about $30,000–$40,000 in total so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2019, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I basically measure the success of their work but how much I am able to give them a feature and let them run with it, while still receiving a relatively error-free product that does what I need it to do.
They’ve done a fantastic job of providing that service and being really easy to work with on top of it. Even in cases where we do find errors, they are always more than willing and capable of going back to fix those and make sure they understand what had gone wrong.
How did Effectus Software perform from a project management standpoint?
One of the biggest criteria I had for any partner I brought on was the ability to clearly communicate without a lot of difficulty. They do a fantastic job of making sure that they understand what I am asking them for and asking questions when they need something to be clarified.
They use Jira to track all of our progress toward specific milestones and everything, and they’ve done a great job of organizing things on there and making sure that I feel comfortable navigating it to understand what the developers are working on and exactly how much time is being spent on each task. Their process is extremely efficient and easy to use.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Not only do they do very high-quality work but the team is very capable of rolling with quick changes in requirements, which is a huge need in the software startup world. I haven’t run into a challenge yet that I haven’t been unable to take to them and come back with a solution.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I honestly don’t think there’s anything in particular I wish they had done better. I’ve been totally pleased with the quality of the work they’ve done for us.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure that if you don’t have a clear process for how to work with a development company like them, you ask them to give you a process they’ve used before so that you can work with them in a way that they are comfortable with. The fewer hoops you give them to jump through, the easier to manage the partnership will be.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am one of the founders of Comida para Héroes, which resulted from the concern that me and some of my friends had about the impact COVID-19 was having on the society.
We wanted to help in some significant way to health care workers that we know are struggling with long hour shifts, little or no time to prepare themselves a good and balanced meal, tiredness, etc.
In addition, we thought about contributing with two other sectors in need which are the elderly and children in critical context. We started out by donating meals prepared in our own restaurant and then many other gastronomical companies joined us.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software?
We hired Effectus Software to develop a webpage where users could donate meals to these three vulnerable sectors. We wanted to have a place where people could learn about our initiative and help through it using MercadoPago as a safe way of doing so.
The idea was to have a little help from everybody who wanted to, so that the restaurants that are together with us in this cause, could donate more meals to more people.
What were your goals for this project?
We know people want to help as much as they can, but they usually don’t know how to do it. We decided it would be great to have different food companies deliver healthy and balanced meals at a modic price.
We wanted to show support and gratitude to health care workers for their role in this difficult situation. As we know elderly people are the ones at higher risk, in first place we thought about providing them with food but it is in our short term plans to give psychosocial support as well.
How did you select this vendor?
An acquaintance of mine had told me that they had worked with Effectus Software in the past so I contacted them through their website.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The most important part of the project was to try and help as many people as possible with the same action so it would be easy for contributors to do so. We wanted potential donors to trust in our project, and for that reason we decided to use MercadoPago which is known by most of the people and would make them more likely to help.
What was the team composition?
The team was integrated by a Project Manager and a developer, both from Effectus Software.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The product has made it significantly simpler for people to donate money for our cause, letting us reach more and more projects that help families, kids and elderly people in critical contexts.
This is the case of Rugbi Inclusivo. We were able to contribute with their project by making it easier to get the food they need everyday to help over 50 families have a proper meal on their tables. In order to continue helping these people, it is crucial that we get as many donations as we can and that’s the reason why we wanted to create the website.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used SCRUM with 2-week-long sprints. An MVP was created after 2 sprints and after giving the PM feedback, some changes were made during a third sprint.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We were really satisfied with the final product and the time it took to accomplish it.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No

QDC provides expertise and knowledge to help businesses attain goals and solve problems. We do this using a comprehensive approach to permanently increase the value that these activities represent for organizations. We help our clients go through a transformation process. I am the CEO of the business.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software?
We hired Effectus Software because we wanted to develop a tool that could obtain and process customer satisfaction data in real-time. The idea was to allow customers to answer surveys in which they scored different aspects of the service they received. Even though it may sound simple, A LOT of information can be extracted from the inputs.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to obtain insights about customer satisfaction levels to improve the services businesses provided. We wanted to make the software really simple and easy to handle.
How did you select this vendor?
I had heard about them a few time but decided to go with Effectus Software after receiving a direct recommendation.
Describe the project in detail.
The developed system is a customer feedback tool that allows businesses to measure and analyze specific and overall satisfaction levels. Administrators can create and manage an unlimited amount of questions that can have different answer types associated. The data collected can be accessed and analyzed via a dashboarded and used for further in-depth analysis and to forge solid customer relations. Now, a new feature has been added. Surveys can be accessed by scanning a QR code. The dashboard has been re-designed based on a user-centered design with great focus on the experience and its graphics.
What was the team composition?
The team was integrated by a Project Manager, three developers, and QA tester, all of them from Effectus Software.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The app is used by big-scale businesses belonging to health-care, hospitality, and pharmaceutic industries. They have made a lot of improvements based on the collected data from the questionnaires. AskMe surveys have been answeres more than 3000 times.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The project management was extremely effective. We worked using the agile framework of SCRUM, which allowed us to give feedback regularly and allowed them to tailor the product according to our needs.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
An initial MVP was developed together with an app and a web dashboard after three months. All the delivery dates were respected, and we received what was promised on time. After some time, we decided to add some more features to the product, and we called Effectus Software once again because we were really happy with the previous results. The feature added was being able to access online surveys by scanning a QR code. The current sanitary conditions caused by the COVID-19 made this feature to be necessary since it was our way of reaching out to customers without any physical contact with devices. The time for developing this was really short, but the team worked swiftly, and the product was out in the market with its new functionality in no time.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of the Perez Scremini Foundation which is dedicated to conquering childhood cancer in Uruguay with the help and hard work of 130 dedicated people. These include specialized doctors, nurses, laboratory workers among many others. Our services are totally free and include medical appointments, treatments, hospitalization, medicines, psychosocial support, etc.
For what projects/services did your company hire Effectus Software?
We hired Effectus Software to develop a software product that could allow us to securely save the institution's data and information related to patients, medical appointments, expenses, etc. Centralizing the access of information in a single source was of great importance since it could facilitate keeping data and information updated and making it more easy for both employees and volunteers to access it.
What were your goals for this project?
We used to have a set of Excel documents where we kept all the information regarding everything we do in the foundation, so it was really hard to keep track of it. We had duplicated data and very often it was not up to date. We needed a system that was easy to use given that our staff would have to start using it sooner rather than later and where we could have our information centralized and updated.
How did you select this vendor?
One of the founders is an acquaintance of mine. I remembered he worked developing software and decided to check out Effectus's website. After going over their projects and reading about their workflow strategy I was determined on working with them.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The product's main function is to structure and store all the information regarding hospitalization, psychosocial support, medical appointments, etc. of all of our patients. There are different types of users that have different permissions according to the role they have in the organization.
It allows them to fill in information related to their role so they don't have to spend time looking for the place where they have to add it. This makes the system a more simple platform to work on.
What was the team composition?
The team was integrated by a Project Owner that works in PSF, a Project Manager and a team of two developers from Effectus Software
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The developed product has helped us keep record of specific things that we had no control of but knew that were happening. For example, there was no information regarding to which kids skipped their medical appointment.
Now we have all the data and it allows us to make reports and to analyze trends. Another thing that we began to keep track of is the money that is given to parents and family members that can't afford transport tickets and fares.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We used SCRUM setting sprints that lasted 2 weeks. The project was completed after 5 sprints. It was super effective because communication was good and this helped foster a good working relationship. They really listened to our feedback after every iteration and all the changes and adaptations were correctly implemented in the version that followed. The final product meets all our needs and requirements exquisitely.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The professional and pro-active communication set them apart. The team continually demonstrates that they care for your business and will help you succeed.
Are there any areas for improvement?
My only suggestion is that they could have written a comprehensive user manual.

I work at a digital tech agency, mostly focusing on building products in the fintech space.
What challenge were you trying to address with Effectus Software?
We needed some developers to augment our team so that we could hit the timelines needed.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had them work offsite on a Ruby on Rails project. The developers delivered APIs and backend structure to support the end result. While they weren’t developing the backend architecture directly, they did deliver key components to support the experience.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with four different developers, but no more than two at a time.
How did you come to work with Effectus Software?
Our CTO found them. We had technical calls to review experience and size up their overall skillset.
How much have you invested with them?
It was over $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The work started in November 2018 and will wrap up at the end of April 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve facilitated development on two projects and their work was very solid. We’ve had a lot of success. It’s almost as if they were trained as our own staff. They did help facilitate very tight deadlines with a polished end result.
How did Effectus Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They were great to work with. There was a time difference, but they were available for our standup meetings and team-wide calls.
